Let me show you how to increase event profits by turning your experiential event photography from an expense to be paid into an asset to be sold! If your EEP (that tired Photo Booth in the back) isn't a vibrant, vital front-line asset that showcases your guests, highlights your sponsors, and expands your social reach while generating additional income for your non-profit, you are doing it WRONG! Let me expand your ideas concerning EEP's and how to identify best practices for your events. Randy Long is the owner of The Pix Squad, a professional event photography company specializing in corporate gatherings, golf outings, and charity galas. The Pix Squad's Mobile Pix Cart has turned golf photography upside down and is welcomed by PGA, LPGA, and PGA Canada tournaments as well as hundreds of local tournaments. The Mobile Pix Cart led The Pix Squad to work with 24 pro sports figures such as Von Miller, Ron Jaworski, Patrick Williams and Darren Waller, further bolstering their fundraising galas and events coast to coast, creating a measurable increase in philanthropic donations through the heightened level of entertainment they provide. With a degree in theatre and extensive event management experience, Randy and his Squad leveraged that experience to produce jaw-dropping photo experiences to increase sponsorship income and extend social reach. Randy was first a small-town newspaper reporter/photographer who translated his experience into opportunity when he took a side gig as a mall Santa to pay for his family's holiday spending. Frustrated with the experience, Randy created Santa Magic (shopping center Santa/Easter Photo) and later The Pix Squad. Conscious Capitalism Arizona Free enterprise capitalism has served to lift more people out of poverty than any other socio-economic system ever conceived – empowering social cooperation, human progress, and elevating humanity. Good business is the answer to many of the global issues that humankind is facing. For too long, capitalism in the media has been associated with lying, cheating, manipulating, gaming the system, and taking advantage of society. But for every horror story being told about the selfishness of corporate America and Wall Street, there are thousands of stories of businesses supporting their communities, investing in their employees, and making the world a better place. We are working to change the capitalism narrative by shining a bright light on good business – telling the stories of conscious Arizona companies (and encouraging others to follow in their footsteps). There is a lot in her background that has led Kindra Maples to where she is today. Her past experiences, interactions, careers, and partnerships have led her to grow the roles she holds in the community; the VP of Volunteers with Conscious Capitalism Arizona, Sales Development with YellowBird, and the host of the Culture Crush Business Podcast. She is a spartan racer, past animal trainer, previous magician's assistant, and has a weakness for Oreo cookie shakes. Her journey working with people actually started working with animals as a teenager (don't worry we won't go that far back for her bio). She worked for over 15 years in the zoo industry working with animals and the public. Her passion for working with animals shifted into working with people in education, operations, and leadership roles. From there her passion for leadership and helping people develop has continued to grow. Her experience in non-profit operations, communications, and program engagement have brought her to the place she is today. Her experiences have built her passion and her “why” in areas of culture building, engagement, and growing strong teams. Interest rates are a notable part of the equation when buying farmland. My boy Brooks Bollinger is a 7yr NFL QB who played for the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys. He also played professionally in the UFL for the Florida Tuskers, where he won the UFL Championship and was named MVP. Brooks played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers where he won a Rose Bowl as a redshirt freshman. You will absolutely love his personality, candor and introspection. There are 2 things that he values from his playing days, and you may be surprised by one of his answers. We go deep into that specific life lesson and I really think it's one of the most important values we can teach our kids and parents. We also touch on some of the NFL greats that he had played with. What was he experience with Vinny Testaverde, Curtis Martin, Wayne Chrebet, Terrell Owens and Tony Romo like?Brooks is now a VP at Bell Bank and balances that with a family of 5 kids. Here is Brooks Bollinger Unrestricted.Special thanks to my sponsors Pick & Shovel Wear, Douglas & Todd Bourbon and Wexford Harbour Insurance

Brooks Bollinger is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League for the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. He also was a member of the Florida Tuskers in the United Football League. He played college football at the University of Wisconsin. He's now the VP of Bell Bank. Highlights from this Episode: Focus less on the hypotheticals and the next "step or destination" and focus more on the moment you are in now and how you can be your best now. The key to finding work-life balance is riding the waves of the ups and downs and realizing whatever season you are in. You have control of the external things that you prioritize and can align them in an order that works for you. When asked to do something I don't want to do, I tell myself, " it's not about the task. It's about how I execute the task and the standard I set for myself and that everything I do is for a bigger vision and much bigger purpose. It's essential to take pride in the little things. Happiness won't arrive at a milestone or destination. True happiness will arrive when you stop and enjoy what's right in front of you. Your life will feel full and rewarding. There is a quote from this episode that I’ll keep with me forever. “What if I fall? Oh but darling, what if you fly?” Mandy George, West City Fargo Commissioner, knows her fair share about flying. And that quote drove her beyond hurdles that would have stopped most. After getting an extensive education, she began her career as a pilot almost 20 years ago, where she fell in love with aviation. Early on she realized that as a woman in a male dominated field, she’d have to “be better, to get equal credibility.” She was up to the challenge and didn’t let that stop her. It also didn’t stop her from pursuing her dream of community service as Commissioner. She lost her ex-husband to an accident early on in her daughter’s life. As a single mother, she relied heavily on her community to support her during that loss and with her career, and has come full circle to provide support for that same community now. Join us for this high-energy conversation, where Mandy shares how she overcame the odds to build a life aligned to her gifts, passions and her family. About our Guest Born in 1977, Mandy grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High in 1995. She went to NDSU for 2 years, MSU for 4 years, got her Bachelor of Arts in sociology, went to UND for 1 semester in commercial aviation, then onto Vic’s aircraft and MN Aviation in Albert Lea. She completed private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, Certified Flight Instructor, instrument and multi, and airline transport pilot certificates. (CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP) She became an instructor, teaching lessons from 2002-2005, and went on to co-own Eagle 1 Aviation with her late ex-husband, from 2003-2006. She flew freight for corporate air (2005-2006), and flew Encore Air Cargo (2006-2007). Her daughter was born in 2008, during which time she did some part time flight instruction. She flew for Titan Machinery (2011-2014), Red River Aero (2012-2015), Dragonfly Air Services (2013-2015), and Bell Bank (2015-current). She was elected West Fargo City Commissioner June 2020, and has been serving her community ever since with a commitment to honesty, transparency and putting the community first. Mitch Irwin of Bell Bank joins Tom to discuss mortgage challenges for parties going through divorce in light of COVID-19. He identifies difficulties the industry is facing in light of the low rates and high volumes of closings while shifting to working remotely. He discusses the challenges of borrowing for a new home where employment is uncertain. He identifies some unique approaches including seeking out co-signers, using retirement account distributions to satisfy Fannie Mae requirements, and seeking gifts or loans from family. He points out limitations in certain categories like jumbo loans and tightened requirements in FHA and VA. He identifies prospective concerns for lending based upon his experience in the Great Recession like raising credit score requirements or tightening loan to value expectations and thus increasing necessary down payments. Finally, he cautions people about pursuing loan forbearance offers unless absolutely necessary.
