After Anthony Casablanca retired in 2015, he and his wife, Linda, started traveling the country in a 45-foot RV from their home in Batesville, Indiana. Their love for the Cincinnati Reds drew the couple to Pueblo El Mirage, an active 55+ RV and golf resort in El Mirage, Arizona and near the Reds' Spring training facility. Following our Strokes episode last week, we take a look at Balkans, a short-lived act from Atlanta that garnered obscure success with their self-titled debut in 2011. With the rock landscape already having moved past the post-punk revival of the early 2000s, Balkans proved that there was still some juice left in the lo-fi garage sound of their predecessors while still bringing something fresh to the table with an album that changes tempo nearly as often as it changes tracks. Singer-guitar player Frankie Broyles' off-key and monotone vocals pays perfect homage to Casablancas atop often relentless percussion and angular punk guitar riffs. An excellent album for those longing for a fresh take on the post-punk 2000s, Balkans proved that the next generation of rockers were paying attention and gave hope that perhaps the movement wasn't completely troubled and done.

Based in Brighton UK, Fingerman (AKA Gregg Holmes), has been spinning tunes since the mid-nineties jumping from multiple genres in his time. Originally a techno and house head, Fingerman caught the disco bug in the mid 2000’s whilst holding a vinyl only residency at Brighton long-running night club Casablancas. He then began to research the sample material from his favourite house records and, like a kind of domino effect, began following editors and producers such as Greg Wilson, Todd Terje and Dimitri From Paris. He began making his own re-edits of his favourite disco records in order to beatmatch them for club use soon after.

There's nothing but drama in the Casablancas house as Cassidy gets suspicious, Kendall gets caught, and Dick Sr. gets out of town. This week: Cheatty Cheatty Bang Bang (2.03)!

Fundou em 1972, em Paris, a Elite Models, uma das principais agências de modelo do mundo, e foi responsável por descobrir algumas das mais importantes modelos da atualidade, como Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista e Gisele Bündchen. Ficou à frente da Elite até o ano 2000, quando vendeu a franquia e se afastou por um tempo dos negócios. Há três anos resolveu voltar para o jogo e abriu, aqui no Brasil, a agência Joy Model Management, que tem o objetivo de descobrir novas super modelos. Casablancas lançou recentemente sua biografia, o livro Vida Modelo. Além de descobrir mulheres lindas e maravilhosas, também é pai de Julian Casablancas, vocalista da banda Strokes.
