What a tale I have for you today! In 1518, a very peculiar form of madness fell over the people of the city of Strasbourg (modern day France) in the Holy Roman Empire. People started... dancing. A lot of people. As in hundreds. And out in public in full view of anyone who wanted to watch! And many of them only stopped when they died. They literally danced themselves to death. What happened and why??? For Merch and everything else Bad Magic related, head to: https://www.badmagicproductions.com

This week Andrew brings a very interesting word to the show! Ben is up for the challenge, but first he has a review of Trombone Champ! Then the hosts dive right into the discussion starting with literature… Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, Macbeth by William Shakespeare, and Star Wars by George Lucas. Coincidentally, Ben gets to talk about his biggest “Jedi: Fallen Order,” pet peeves, but then they chat briefly about constitutional law. In the “official” video games segment, Ben shares the strange development story of “The Day Before” and the numerous equivocations therein. In closing, Andrew talks about a cola marketing scam, and Ben unintentionally alienates the 2VP audience and possibly Andrew. 00:00:21 - Video GAMES, a cliffhanger, dream feeding, and the lamest form of time traveling 00:04:55 - Ben's Trombone Champ review start, complicated math, and Dan's trombone idea 00:09:38 - The narrative of Trombone Champ, “Funiculì, Funiculà,” and amazing audiovisuals 00:13:02 - Time to toot, gilding and “turd-ing,” secrets, inner 9 year olds, and a review closing 00:19:19 - Not equivocating, the definition, in Swedish, and affordable furniture solutions 00:21:38 - Spirit of exploration, Oedipus' road rage, and Andrew's Magic 8 Ball equivocation 00:24:49 - Prophecy details, the swollen foot baby, full of irony, and a bit of a cougar 00:29:09 - The Porter, “nose-painting, sleep, and urine,” 3 witches, and Macbeth vs Macduff 00:33:06 - Obi-Wan equivocates about Vader, retroactive continuity, and Luke and Leia kiss 00:36:17 - Ben talks about “Jedi: Fallen Order,” Cal Kestis, and a plethora of ponchos 00:41:48 - Ewan McGregor noises, acting with tennis balls, and a different century's president 00:45:17 - Paying for a wall with hurt feelings, on a spectrum, and Ben's playful equivocation 00:48:41 - The legal profession, for justice or money, and Ben's looking at you Congress! 00:50:30 - Stuart, brief entomology, the Establishment Clause of the 1st, and Pueblo Colorado 00:55:46 - Line crossing, the story of “The Day Before,” and the Steam page is actually gone 01:02:01 - Andrew recounts the “New Coke” marketing scheme and resulting equivocations 01:05:42 - Not the “Classic, Classic Coke,” lawyers and politicians, and equivocating felines Ben's Trombone Champ Review Highlights Story / Narrative - SN - (8) - You are on a quest to become the Trombone Champ by tooting your trombone, learning about and pledging allegiance to baboons, collecting and trading Trombone Champ cards, meeting strange characters, and laughing a bunch. Audiovisuals - AV - (10) - From the character models, to the song selection, the UI which looks like something you would see on a “Dance, Dance Revolution” arcade machine, to the amazing song recording quality, to the background animations while you are “tooting”, to the satirical poke a EA Sports Games micro-transaction card collection graphics… Trombone Champ is perfectly executed in this area. Game Mechanics - GM - (9) - Nothing new here, BUT the game mechanics are finely tuned and nostalgically fun. Choose your trombone style, sound scheme, and “tomboner,” your song, and then it's time to TOOT! You play notes by pressing a key on the keyboard, and you use the pad to control the target reticle vertically on a line on the left side of the screen. You follow the note prompts as they scroll in from the right with key presses and mousepad movements and are rated on accuracy with “Perfectos,” “OKs,” “Nices,” “Mehs,” and “Nasties.” As you string your successes together your “CHAMP” meter fills and your multiplier builds. Once you have the meter filled completely, a celebratory airhorn sounds off; the longer you keep the “CHAMP” active, the more points you score for notes and combos. Based on your score at the end of each song, you earn “toot coins” which you can use to buy sacks of 4 cards to gather for your collection. If you have an excess of cards you can exchange them for turds, which you can use to buy the cards you are missing. Collect 10 of single card and you can “engoldenate” it so all future versions of that card you receive from a sack will be the gold version (worth more toot coins and turds). There are hidden secrets to unlock: avatars, trombones, and sound schemes (including a fart one), AND the “true ending…” becoming the fabled Trombone Champ of legend! Ben's FINAL VERDICT (aka the MATH) for Holy Wow Studios' “Trombone Champ!” (10 * .20) + (9 * .35) + (8 * .45) = 8.75 out of 10… things! UP A near perfect parody AND celebration of rhythm games Incredibly customizable settings let you play the way you want An amazingly diverse selection of incredibly well done songs DOWN There are a couple annoying mechanics, specifically the 100 clicks later in the game when searching for the “hidden boss.” DO BUY AND PLAY… If you or your family enjoys rhythm or music games, or if you just want to laugh Follow Andrew / Partly Robot Industries on… His website: https://partlyrobot.com/ On Instagram: https://instagram.com/partlyrobot On TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@partlyrobot On Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/partlyrobot Follow Two Vague on… Our website: https://www.twovaguepodcast.com On Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/two_vague_podcast On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@twovaguepodcast On X-Twitter: https://twitter.com/TwoVaguePodcast For show appearance and other inquiries, contact us at: twovaguepodcast@gmail.com References and Hashtags: Trombone Champ links - https://www.vecchitto.design/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1059990/Trombone_Champ/ https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/trombone-champ-switch/ #Podbean #DIYPodcast #ApplePodcast #VideoGames #Trivia #Comedy #Talkshow #Kickstarter #Partlyrobot #2VP #TwoVaguePodcast #HolyWowStudios #TromboneChamp #TheDeadMilkmen #Stuart

SEX - it's everywhere. At home, online, in a car behind a church. Lately though we can add one more place it happens just as frequent if not more than the others and that is in the world of videogames. Religious folks and politicians tirelessly try to censor sex in gaming which is ironic given that they are usually hornier than actual gamers themselves. Now we can't do much to help them, but we can definitely play wingman for every gamer out there looking for love or lust in the digital dating scene. On today's X-rated episode we chat about every game we can think of that has a sex/romance option and maybe even a few that deserve one. So slip into something sexy and get ready to constantly hit the X button because this next part is for adults only!

I felt so refreshed after my time talking to Jeanna Vance, guest on episode 40. Jeanna exudes the love of God and invests in each person she encounters. She is a wife, mother of two, and a dance artist. Jeanna founded Open Sky Arts Collective in 2014. Open Sky’s mission is to use the arts to bring the Kingdom of God to the lost and hurting among us. Beginning as a project-based organization, Open Sky has now grown into two full-time companies operating in Houston and Dallas. Prior to starting Open Sky, Jeanna danced with various modern and ballet companies including Ad Deum Dance Company, Sandra Organ’s Dance Company, Suchu Dance, Hopestone Inc., and Psophonia Dance Company. She served on faculty with Dance Revolution dance convention for 12 years teaching dance, performing, and sharing her journey of faith and art with thousands of students and teachers.Jeanna shares her story of overcoming self-hatred and an eating disorder through experiencing the love of God and the power of forgiveness. Seeing others experience freedom and recognize their value is a huge part of Jeanna’s heart and mission. At a crossroad in her journey, she felt God prompt her to start Open Sky. Are you in a place where you feel like you don’t have anything to give? May Jeanna’s story fill you with hope and encouragement. As Jeanna says, “we are not enough, but He is enough.”Check out our website http://creativeimpactpodcast.com for the full show notes that include Jeanna's biography and links mentioned in this episode. Los Angeles Comedian, Actor, Writer, Show creator and more, Chad Rietschel is an intrinsically funny young man who I’m very glad I had the chance to chat with. If you haven’t seen him as ‘Timeloop Dad’ (aka Miles) in “The Bachelor but with Dads” on Channel 101, seriously, don’t talk to me (jk, but seriously). With 4 other gentleman known as ‘the Dads’, their voice can be seen/heard in all pre-pro-post roles, making comedy in L.A. (some, rooted in Chicago), from “Petty Theft” to “…Dads” and i’m frightfully excited for what they’ll do next. As a solo artist - Chad can be seen as funny side characters in such awesome 101 shows as “Wizards Corner”, “Binary 46” and (guest on TDS 82. KP Parker’s) “Rumspringa”! Chad’s first solo creation is in the understated yet mighty “Dan’s Dance Revolution”. In this episode we talk about how the (formerly known as) ‘Little Judd’ gang got started, creativity, comedy, Coldplay, Canada, working in a group vs. working on your own, Channel 101 of course, and more. It may be more or less interesting where I try to take it - whether you’ve heard of Chad and seen this wonderful work i’m referencing - or it’s your introduction to it. Either way, I was laughing allot, a wheezy laugh… and another great time was had. Please consider the links below at your disposal, they offer pathways to all of the great comedy we talk about, as well as the music featured in this episode, including a song by the AMAZING JoJo Worthington, whom I’d still love to chat with again, on this podcast! Nevada, 1876. The great dance rush is over. The vast exodus west, the promise of the freshest line-dances, and the once bountiful honky-tonk mines have all dried up. This week only two boys are made of stern enough stuff to turn the tide and mend achy breaky hearts. Join us as we design an RPG of cowboys, neckerchiefs and hoedowns. This episode focuses on how radio stations are choosing to visualise their audio - in particular with regard to social media. Joining Terry in the studio is co-host Luke Walsh, a Broadcast Journalism student at the University. They hear from; Ann Charles - a radio producer and one of the organisers of the annual Radio TechCon, and Scott McGerty who uses Facebook Live as part of his Dance Revolution programme on Spark Sunderland. We'll also hear from Dr Lawrie Hallett, Senior Lecturer in Radio and Journalism, in his radio surgery. And do some jargon busting with our 'radio word of the week'. Matt and Rich are joined this week by special guest and managed services consultant extraordinaire Manuel Palachuk to explore “agile service delivery” and its benefits for MSPs. That’s followed by discussions of today’s complex, sometimes confusing security product landscape, the possibility that GDPR might not be as big a problem for U.S.-based channel pros as we thought, and Lenovo’s new leadership team and future direction. Then be sure to stick around as Matt discusses the vintage ASUS motherboard in his tech museum and the cool new ASUS motherboard he plans to use in the custom gaming rig he’s building with his niece. Plus dolphins. And Dance, Dance Revolution. And...well, maybe it's best to just tune in and enjoy. Subscribe to ChannelPro Weekly! Okay, you're Chris Pratt, you've accidentally woken from stasis on an interstellar cruise ship bound for a planet 90 years away and you'll die of old age before it ever arrives. Faced with unending loneliness do you: a) attempt to repair your stasis pod, b) play Dance, Dance Revolution for 60 years, c) stalk and then kidnap Jennifer Lawerence by awakening her from her stasis tube, dooming her to your own sorry fate in the process. Well, my friends, the choice is surprisingly clear in Columbia Pictures' PASSENGERS. Colin and Gregg are joined by the Bourgeois's to fix this highly fixable movie.

Maya has collaborated extensively on stage and on recordings with such notable artists as Fitz and the Tantrums, Marcus Miller, DJ Spinna, DJ Logic, Cormega, Large Professor, Eminem, Mr. Cheeks, Joell Ortiz, Immortal Technique, Vernon Reid, Bob Sinclair and Jonathan Peters. Maya participated actively in One Billion Rising, an international campaign to end domestic violence, and her critically acclaimed song "Dance Revolution" was commissioned by OBR’s founder, Eve Ensler, to inspire support throughout the campaign. Maya performs in festivals and venues globally, at the invitation of promoters and U.S. Embassies worldwide. Such invitations have taken Maya on tours throughout Europe, Croatia, China, Burma, Honduras, Tanzania, Haiti, South Africa, India and Russia, in addition to her U.S. concerts. As a result of her work, Maya was featured in The Washington Post, Billboard, O Magazine and countless other publications. Maya received the "Innovator of Change" Award; Network Journal’s "Top 40 Under 40" Award; and Voices Unbroken "Hearing Our Voices" Award that stated, "Thank you, Maya Azucena, for using your voice to make the world a better place." Fusing Soul, Rock and Pop, Maya describes her sound as "a female Bruno Mars, if Bruno sang like Chaka Khan." Jenny Schatzle from the Jenny Schatzle Program reminds us that we are in the Holiday Season and we need to deal with it. The all or nothing mentality doesn’t work. We need to take the pressure off and be healthy while still having fun. From her studio in Santa Barbara, Jenny is starting a global Movement that changes the way people see themselves. The program focuses on fitness and nutrition as a base, but also looks at the community you create and the behavior that stops you and holds you back. At the Jenny Schatzle Program, the weight loss is the bonus, the life change is the promise. Jenny moved out to Santa Barbara as a student and signed up at Golds Gym to workout. After being the loudest and most dedicated attendant in the group fitness classes, the owner offered to teach Jenny how to run classes. She then realized she wasn’t walking the walk she was teaching and created the Jenny Schatzle Program that helped her to get back to feeling whole. The program teaches people how to love who they see in the mirror and find a deep internal happiness that is not wavered by the actions of others.13 Holiday Tips for Staying Healthy 1. Know your triggers-If food is your trigger, step away from the food table. Grab one plate of food and take it on the other side of the room to have your conversation. 2. Plate Order-First plate, vegetables and greens-Second plate protein-Third plate can be your starches and foods you want to try out. 3. Wait 20 Minutes before Having Seconds-Set a timer 4. A Glass of Water and Food first.-Alcohol lowers our inhibition. Ounce you are buzzed choicesare compromised. Drink some water and eat food first. 5. Go for Low Calorie Drinks-Create a Mocktail. Bubbly water and a splash of cranberrywith a lime.-If you are going to drink wine, stick to one glass.-Go for red wine over the sugary whites-Instead of a margarita, have tequila and lime juice. 6. Adult Peer Pressure is Real!-We tend to take health advice from unhealthy people to makethem happy-Don’t take advice from someone who doesn’t care if you arehealthy. 7. Be Present While Eating-How will the food I’m shoving in my mouth make me feel?-Do I feel hungover just from what I ate? Make better choicesnext time. 8. Don’t Eat Your Stress-Visiting family can be stressful. Look for positive outletslike working out versus indulging in unhealthy foods-Don’t add the guilt and shame from eating unconsciously toyour stress 9. Treat Yourself and Lower Stress-You deserve to spend some time and money on yourself to lower stress-Get a gym membership-Treat yourself to a massage 10. Start the day with a 10 Minute Workout-You will be less likely to eat crap-You will start your day feeling accomplished 11. Put Yourself First-It’s not selfish. When you are at your best, others benefit.-People aren’t going to like you more/less the more you do forthem. 12. Embrace Your Health-Being healthy is a gift, not a punishment.-Where you put your focus will become your focus.-If you focus on hating your workouts, you will hate theworkouts-If you focus on being kind to yourself and you will feelloved. 13. Focus on the I AM Conversation… I AM__________________.-Start the day with 5 positive I AM’s (Examples below)-I AM STRONG-I AM BEAUTIFUL-I AM SMART-I AM HEALTHY-I AM FIT If you are in Santa Barbara, stop by and take a class at the Jenny Schatlze Program, on the house. Cassie Scerbo stars as Amber Pollock, a conniving queen bee who meets an untimely death just as she is about to win the Prom Queen title, in ABC Family’s two-hour original movie, “Teen Spirit.” Faced with an unpleasant after-life, Amber gets a second chance to make things right if she can accomplish her assigned task -- transforming the least popular girl in school into Prom Queen material. Scerbo currently stars in the ABC Family series “Make It or Break It” as ultra-competitive and talented gymnast Lauren Tanner. She was also recently seen in Universal’s franchise hit “Bring It On: In It to Win It,” where she did all of her own stunts, spending hours perfecting each move. A native of New York, this self proclaimed tomboy moved to Florida where she enjoyed playing soccer, track and other sports. Talented and creative, Scerbo extensively trained in singing, dancing, acting, and won the 2001 Hip-Hop world championship. She caught the acting bug when she saw her older brother doing stand-up, and soon stepped up on the stage and stole the show. She then found a manager and started booking roles right away. Scerbo made her debut in a Ron Gair and Geffen records age-appropriate group called the Slumber Party Girls. The group performed as regulars on CBS’s “Dance Revolution” with such hit songs as “Countdown,” “My Life” and the “Texting Song.”
