You've likely never heard of him, but an Australian journalist who played a crucial role in getting Donald Trump elected, has been named as a co-conspirator in the former President's hush money trial. His name is Dylan Howard, and he was formerly editor in chief of the American tabloid paper, the ‘National Enquirer, a position he held when Trump engaged his services to practice what's known as 'catch and kill journalism'. This means he was tasked with buying any negative stories about the then presidential candidate and ensuring they were buried. The hope was this would save Trump from any reputational damage. But despite his name being mentioned hundreds of times in the trial and the critical role he played in winning Trump the election, he is yet to appear in court. Legendary investigative journalist with the Nine Papers, Kate McClymont, has dug deep into the life and times of Dylan Howard, and chats with Luke Grant about his background in Australia, his journey to becoming a key player in US Politics and where he is believed to be living now.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ever wondered what goes on inside the courtroom when high-profile legal battles unfold? This episode takes you on a riveting journey through the latest courtroom escapades where former President Trump's own attorney, Todd Blanch, throws caution to the wind and reads Michael Cohen's unflattering tweets for all to hear. It's a moment that blurs the line between legal proceeding and political theater, with "Donald Von Schitzenpants" making its way into official transcripts and leaving us questioning where the lawyer's true loyalties lie.The courtroom drama is just the tip of the iceberg, as we navigate the complex web of motivations and ethical dilemmas facing attorneys who dare to dance with the devil. We scrutinize Blanch's potential aspirations for a future in a Trump-dominated political landscape and the implications such ambitions may have on the integrity of our legal system. It's a chess game of loyalty, strategy, and "low bono" work, where the pieces move in shadows cast by super PAC money and the allure of power. Finally, we put the spotlight on the testimony of a banker named Pharaoh, whose revelations peel away the layers of secrecy surrounding the financial maneuvers of Trump's inner circle. We don't stop there; we analyze the roles of Dylan Howard and Keith Davidson in the hush-money scandals that rocked the 2016 presidential campaign. Join us as we examine the ethical quagmires and the potential impact these backroom deals had on American democracy. It's an episode that promises to leave you enlightened, entertained, and perhaps a little incredulous.Support the Show.Support the show:https://www.buzzsprout.com/2003879/supportFollow our show's hosts on Twitter: twitter.com/@CoolTXchicktwitter.com/@Caroldedwinetwitter.com/taradublinrockstwitter.com/blackknight10ktwitter.com/@pardonpodFind Tara's book here:Taradublinrocks.comFind Ty's book here:Consequence of ChoiceSubscribe to Tara's substack:taradublin.substack.comSubscribe to Ty's substack:https://theworldasiseeit.substack.com/ Support Our Sponsor: Sheets & GigglesEucalyptus Sheets (Recommended):Sleep Mask (I use this every night)Eucalyptus Comfortor...

Hauntingly evocative symphonic rock singer-songwriter IVA TORIC spent the summer following the early days of the global pandemic writing material for her sophomore album DEAD RECKONING due in fall 2022. The record includes instrumentation from Gregg Cash (guitars, bass, arrangement) and Dylan Howard (drums) and was recorded with producer/engineer Jim Kaufman and assistant producer Ryan Molder, all of whom previously worked with IVA on her debut 2020 album The Devil's Mark. Grammy Award-winning engineer Ted Jensen (Evanescence, Alice In Chains, Green Day) handled mastering duties. IVA premiered DEAD RECKONING's debut single “Wasting Water” with a resonant music video yesterday (September 23) via Ghost Cult Magazine. The video was recorded by Myles Erfuth and incorporates nature elements from the shooting location in Kernville, CA. “Wasting Water” is available now across all digital platforms HERE and its music video can be seen streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE. ‘Wasting Water' invokes the power of water to describe a deteriorating domestic relationship,” declares IVA. “I wanted to explore the reciprocal existence between humans and water--how it both nourishes us and destroys us, and how we both cherish and waste it. As we change the course of rivers and pollute groundwater, we simultaneously need water to survive. We try to control it, but it breaks free of our chains and causes mass destruction. It is profound to think how similar our relationship with water is to our relationships with each other, with time, and with life itself. My songwriting is about tapping into the collective human experience, so this song is both deeply personal and universal. As you listen, ask yourself ‘in what aspects of my life am I wasting water?'' An Inside View into the Dark Side of a Music Icon He was the King of Pop, a superstar without equal, the idol of millions of young people around the world. But was Michael Jackson also a sexual predator without equal, someone who preyed on the very fans who adored him? Bad is the revelatory untold true story of the strange and larger-than-life career of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. In the wake of the controversial two-part documentary Leaving Neverland, which told the stories of two young boys who were befriended by the singer and have claimed they suffered years of agonizing abuse, Dylan Howard set out to investigate Jackson's life and death in unprecedented depth, to determine—as one lawyer suggested—that the pop star ran “the most sophisticated child sexual abuse procurement and facilitation operation the world has known.” After all the highly publicized trials and unfounded accusations, stunning new information has finally come to light: irrefutable evidence that one of the best-known, best-loved figures in the world was a monster behind closed doors—a foul-mouthed, abusive, drug-sodden freak whose deeds and the reasons for those deeds are revealed now for the first time. A dramatic narrative account based on dozens of interviews, Howard shares Jackson's own riveting personal journal—obtained exclusively for this book—interviews with family members, multiple first-person sources—some of whom have asked to remain anonymous—as well as thousands of pages of court documents. What he uncovers is a man who was both naive and Machiavellian, unorthodox, a devoted father, shrewd businessman, and drug addict whose life was cut short but whose sound and style have influenced artists of various genres and generations.

Southern California punks Total Massacre, a self-described band of "anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-capitalists," have just dropped a raging and politically charged new track titled, "Get Rich or Try Dying." Of the track, singer Cap'n No-Fun says, “Get Rich or Try Dying started like most of our songs do, with a suggestion for a funny song title (this time from our drummer Tommy) combined with the unshakeable sense that literally everything has been fundamentally stacked against us. So not exactly new territory for us as far as songwriting goes but I feel like this one does a good job honing in on one of the really important points that I think is pretty important, and all too easily overlooked: That our lives are the commodity that is being bought and sold.” For the music video, the band enlisted the creative mind of Dylan Howard, the drummer from LA punk band The Lungs, who directed the clip. “Get Rich Or Try Dying” music video: https://youtu.be/LhWcVFjnIvcStream the track on digital platforms here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/totalmassacre/get-rich-or-try-dying The punk ethos is present in everything Total Massacre does, and has earned them an international following in an extremely short amount of time. Committed to bashing authority and calling out the dog whistle of fascism whatever the source, Total Massacre plays every song with a sense of urgency and dread as if at any second some lunatic in the White House might unleash nuclear annihilation upon us all. The LA-based 4-piece channels the breakneck pace and buzzsaw guitars of 80's hardcore with lyrics drenched in the sweat, tears, and disaffected rage of life today. Explicitly political and anti-fascist vocals bark an outraged retort to both the ineffectual, self-defeating cynicism of neoliberal centrists and the greedy, craven nihilism of modern-day conservatives. The self-titled Total Massacre (2018) and the blistering follow-up The System Works... (2019) laid the foundation for what this band stands for. Their live show came a long way, garnering a performance at 2019's Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival, and gigs opening for acts like Pennywise, The Bronx, MDC, Total Chaos, Naked Aggression, CJ Ramone, Flipper, Mondo Generator, Verbal Abuse, Angry Samoans, Mean Jeans, Pulley, DFL and more. The band was primed and ready to share the stage with Pears when Covid 19 shut everything down. Total Massacre spent the downtime writing songs remotely, rehearsing only once or twice before convening to record “the songs of 2020”, all to be released as a series of singles through the first half of 2021. The bands' home base studio Beer City nearly burned down in 2020, but should be up and running in time for the band to record another flurry of singles. As glad as they are that Trump will be out of office, they aren't holding their breath for the democratic establishment to fix our dumpster of a country, so you can count on plenty more pissed off hardcore from Total Massacre soon. Mel B'S former hubby trashed the Spice Girl's “Brutally Honest” memoir as full of lies and omissions — including no mention of the young nanny who she conned into getting an intimate tattoo that read 'Property of Melanie and Stephen!' Speaking exclusively to "All Rise," Stephen Belafonte — the singer's 43-year-old ex-husband — pegged manipulative Mel as the driving force behind their kinky sex games during their 10-year marriage that has exploded into one of Hollywood's nastiest divorces ever. The pervy pop star penned a memoir blasting Stephen as a wife-beater.But instead, Stephen, who requested the no-holds barred interview with Dylan Howard, claimed:- He never had a physical altercation with Mel B- Mel B was once hospitalized after a booze and drugs bender and suffered organ failure- After being hospitalized again, claiming he'd thrown her head into a door and beat her — the truth was she was suffering from kidney failure because of a drinking problem- They were forced to get a divorce because Mel B's addictions spiraled out of control- She fleeced their bank accounts prior to the split- She orchestrated a "sick plot" to have their house searched by law enforcement- She cheated on him with a British actor- When fellow Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, suggested they do a charity show to announce the band was reforming, Mel responded: "F*ck charity, charity doesn't pay the bills."- Mel B's daughter Phoenix lied when she said he'd beat her mother- The pop star seduced Lorraine Gilles — the couple's live-in nanny of eight years — in 2009 when she was just 18- Mel B told the blond teen she would make her a “superstar” — but instead used her as a sexual plaything- He never got Lorraine pregnant- Mel B had an affair with a Beverly Hills Cop whose wife was pregnant at the timeIn one of the most candid tell-all interviews ever, Stephen alleged his ex-later bought Lorraine's silence, adding: “She knew about Mel's drug use, how bad she was at parenting ... so Melanie paid to keep her quiet.” Contacted for comment, Lorraine, now 27, said she had no comment on the blockbuster charges. The movie producer also fired off on his bitter divorce, scoffing at Mel's story that he used their bedroom sex tapes as leverage to settle their split quickly.Instead, Stephen told Howard he is in possessions of evidence to prove Mel B — whose slogan is “Girl Power” — candidly acknowledging he never touched her.“Where is that girl power to come in and break up a family?” “She's a bully,” he added. “Melanie is not a person who gets beat.”

Jeanne Kasem dropped a bombshell claim on episode four of “All Rise” — that members of the Church of Scientology and her late husband Casey's kids conspired to kill the radio legend for his money! Now, the DJ's two daughters, are labelling those accusations as blatant lies designed to take the heat off Jeanne herself.“She has said that everybody around me … they're all Scientologists,” Kerri told Dylan Howard in an exclusive interview, just after she squared off with Jeanne in a Los Angeles courtroom. "If they were, who cares? None of them are, except me."While Kerri admitted she is a volunteer minister of the controversial religion, she denied the church was in any way involved in the wrongful death suit she has filed against Jeanne. "I have been with them since 2010," she said. "I am proud of who I am. I love helping people.”Kerri added: “She (Jeanne) is grasping at straws. The only thing she can do is make up stories at this point because we have all the evidence behind us.”Her sister, Julie, added: “She (Jeanne) is literally throwing whatever she can against the wall and hoping it sticks. She is failing right now … She is going to be held accountable.”Casey died in June 2014 in Washington state, where Jeanne took him after removing him from a medical facility in Southern California where he was receiving around-the-clock care. The longtime "American Top 40" host had a form of dementia and severe bedsores when he died. For the latest on the ugly court battle, listen to this "All Rise" bonus episode.
Even In death, Casey Kasem — the beloved radio icon — is at the center of a brutal three-decade old family feud dominated by greed, spite, intrigue and bitter recriminations. In opposite corners — and at each other's throats — are Casey's widow, Jeanne, and three children from his first marriage who are suing each other for wrongful death — with accusations on each side that the other hastened the legend's demise. The stunning new charges come as police in Washington open a death investigation case more than four years after Casey's death. Now, in her most comprehensive interview since her husband's 2014 passing, Jeanne reacted to step-daughter Kerri who recently declared on a "48 Hours" episode: “Jean killed my father. What she did led to his death.”Countering those charges exclusively to "All Rise," Jeanne claimed that Kerri was part of an evil plot — along with members of the Church of Scientology — to get their hands on his reputed $80 million fortune and cash in on a $2.1 million dollar life insurance policy!“It was pre-planned,” Jeannie told Dylan Howard. “It's very clear and it's very convincing that they wanted to seek physical control of Casey, human traffic him and trap him in a hospital, chemically restrain him and kill him.”Casey died in June 2014 in Washington state, where Jeanne took him after removing him from a medical facility in Southern California where he was receiving around-the-clock care. The longtime "American Top 40" host had a form of dementia and severe bedsores when he died.In a second "All Rise" exclusive, Howard delves beyond the portrait painted of Steven Avery in Netflix's hit true crime documentary "Making A Murderer."Is he a seemingly harmless man who was wrongfully convicted in the 2005 rape and murder of local photographer Teresa Halbach?According to legal documents exclusively obtained by "All Rise", the truth about Steven's threatening nature and violence towards women can finally exposed — revealing the 56-year-old father-of-four wrote menacing letters to his ex-wife and he has been accused of assault by more than one woman. But the allegations and the letters were deemed inadmissible by a judge, so they were never submitted as evidence in his trial for the murder of Teresa Halbach. We probe Steven's former lawyer, Jerry Buting, about these new revelations — and his former client's new attorney, Kathleen Zellner, who has claimed Steven should get a new trial because of Jerry's "ineffective assistance of counsel."

These guys were holding her in a house where she was giving sexual favors for drugs."In a blockbuster political scoop, Sean Hannity has smacked down an influential elected official — who's devoted nearly an entire chapter in his new book to criticizing the prime-time FOX News megastar. In a 20-page rant, Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska accused Hannity of using fear over facts to influence his millions of viewers. Fuming about Sean's top-rated TV and radio programs, Sen. Sasse, 46, railed: “It's not to promote a particular conservative agenda, or to encourage American patriotism, or even to offer coherent arguments against liberalism. His core cause is to rage!”But speaking exclusively to "All Rise" in a no-holds-barred interview, Hannity slammed Sen. Sasse as a "con man, a liar, a fake and a phony!"
