Mark Bertrang interviews Sarah Gebo, the Program Director of ”The Exchange” the La Crosse Area Furniture Bank. The Exchange provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. It is driven by volunteers and donations of basic household goods and gently used furniture from the community. The team of volunteers carefully inspect the donations when they enter the warehouse so that they meet our quality standard. The Exchange partners with social service/community advocates to identify and accompany recipients in need. Recipients must have a confirmed residence before they come to ‘shop' at The Exchange. Once an appointment is made, the recipient and advocate are invited to select essential household items, free of charge, to furnish their home. At The Exchange, it is very important that each clients' experience is dignified from the moment they arrive at the warehouse to the moment their home is furnished. If needed, The Exchange even delivers furniture to the recipient. The Exchange was founded and coordinated by 4 women. In the first 5 years they grew their regular volunteer base to over 65. B.P.M. Session Podcast "Lives" 2023, LFG!!! (http://www.facebook.com/TheBPMSession) Created from the Los Angeles, California Studio Apartment over looking DTLA. Your dance mix designed to make you move, this time mixed by Adam Auburn @daytripla dad. @insomniacevents party thrower. house music player. 1/2 of @friendlyfiredjs, https://linktr.ee/adamauburn, http://www.facebook.com/djadamauburn2 or https://twitter.com/adamauburn or https://www.instagram.com/adamauburn Firmly planted in the riches of house music history, but neatly poised to move forward into the future, Adam Auburn has dedicated his life to the music he loves. The buzz probably all began for Adam in 2004, after winning the first ever Traxsource DJ Competition, sparking a whirlwind of international attention for the East Coast native. In 2008, the ginger-bearded house music advocate moved to Los Angeles, where he was blessed to be discovered by Insomniac, placed on display at their weekly events at Exchange, and ultimately the Festival Stages at Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape From Wonderland, and EDC Week Las Vegas, and Orlando. Auburn's unique versatility as a DJ has allowed him to play alongside a range of Artists as wide as his love for dance music—including everyone from Tiesto, Kaskade to Diplo, Knife Party, TJR, Oliver Heldens, Duke Dumont, John Digweed, Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, the Martinez Brothers, Hot Since 82, Claude VonStroke, MK, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Louie Vega, and so many more across 15 years of DJing. Auburn's deep love of house music can be found not only in the infectious energy that resonates from his DJ performances, but also through the award-winning house music events his production company, Auburn Events, has put on for over 10 years—including Afternoon Delight (#2 Pool Party in the US—Thrillist 2015). In 2014, Adam began working as the Director of Marketing & Entertainment at Exchange LA & Academy LA, and more, continuing to do whatever he can help push the music he loves forward into the future. Every donation related to The BPM Station goes directly to our survival. As many of you may or may not know, March 2023 marks the official 10-year anniversary of our streaming station being live and on-air. We're hoping to raise $20,000 to help continue to make this dream a reality. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. We've never done this for money; it's always been out of our own pocket that we've made this happen. In every shape and form, there has been no profit made since we launched in 2013. So why do we do it? Our Passion is Trance & Friends presents Guest Mixes episode 7 by. Alastair James ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Long before he ever became a DJ, Alastair James knew trance to be as vital as the very air he breathes. Therefore, it is no surprise how quickly the San Francisco native has found his voice as a storyteller, leading the vibrant first act in an electronic music tale of his own. The moment Alastair sets foot behind the decks, the world around him gives way to an ever-changing cadence of sound and emotion. His skills caught the attention of Niko Zografos early on, opening doors at the onset of his career. His style of uplifting and tech trance has moved crowds at destinations like Ruby Skye, 1015 Folsom, and Exchange LA, in addition to the worldwide listeners who tune in for his Trancesion mix series. Although no stranger to techno, progressive house, or even drum and bass, Alastair James exhibits an unmistakable connection to trance that no fair-weather fan could hope to imitate. At times when it felt like he had nothing left, this music and the community surrounding it gave him the courage to carry on. It's only fair, he feels, that he pays it forward by giving each member of the audience hope through whatever challenges may come their way. The Alastair James story is one that resonates deeply with all those who have an earnest love for trance. So as his journey unfolds, don't forget to look and see where his rising star takes him next. -------------------------------------------------------- The tracklist is coming soon! -------------------------------------------------------- links! DJ Hey on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 5/16/22 About DJ Hey - Blind since birth, Heather Nyblade, professionally known as DJ Hey, is a trance DJ from San Diego California. As a blind DJ, she utilizes special equipment in order to perform. Using muscle memory of her gear and knowledge of the music, she is able to transition and mix seamlessly live. Her biggest influence is Ferry Corsten, in 2013, she met him at the Hard Rock Intervention Pool Party. During his set, she noticed the reaction of the crowd, everyone was singing, dancing, and shouting to the music. At that moment, she was instantly hooked. A year later, she decided to pursue her own career as a trance DJ. Within a short time, she has performed at nightclubs, music festivals, special events, and premier parties in Southern California. She has been featured at Exchange LA and the legendary Belly Up in Solana Beach. She continues to build her fanbase and audience through her monthly “Trance By Touch” mix globally via her Twitch channel and official Mixcloud page. She was also a resident DJ on the “Trance Invasion” show with Craig Gordon and has been a guest DJ on shows such as “Onstage Radio,” “Trance Forever,” “Trip To Emotional Land,” and “Re:Trance.” She has also been on stations including AATM, di.fm, Trance-Energy, PurHits, Vinyl Monkees, Club Radio One, and Phoenix Trance Radio. Her goal as a DJ is to travel the world breaking the stigmas towards the blind and people with disabilities. It is important for her to show that anyone can do anything they set their mind to, despite any limitations they might have in life. DJ Hey lives by the quote from the great Casey Kasem, “Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.” For more information about her, please visit www.trancebytouchproductions.com. Our Passion is Trance & Friends presents Guest Mixes episode 3 by. DJ Hey ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bio: Blind since birth, Heather Nyblade, professionally known as DJ Hey, is a trance DJ from San Diego California. She was also a resident DJ on the “Trance Invasion” show with Craig Gordon and has been a guest DJ on shows such as “Onstage Radio,” “Trance Forever,” “Trip To Emotional Land,” and “Re:Trance.” She has also been on stations including AATM, di. fm, Trance- Energy, PurHits, Vinyl Monkees, Club Radio One, and Phoenix Trance Radio. Her goal as a DJ is to travel the world breaking the stigmas towards the blind and people with disabilities. It is important for her to show that anyone can do anything they set their mind to, despite any limitations they might have in life. So happy to have my bro Phoenix unveil his new underground/Tech House Alias as Damian Sam. Jonathan Sam, known as Phoenix, was born and raised on the tropical island of Sri Lanka. His father, also a DJ, inspired him to learn to mix at the very young age of 12. He played his first event in Sri Lanka when he was 14 and has been performing ever since. Shortly after he moved to Los Angeles, California he redirected his focus towards playing house music. From California to Nevada, Phoenix has made a name for himself performing at large scale venues such as Exchange LA, Avalon Hollywood, Academy, and Pattern Bar. One of Phoenix’s latest projects include doing A&R work for a fast growing label in Los Angeles, Tech Avenue Records. He is also in the process of releasing Music under a new Alias “Damian Sam”. Damian Sam maintains a close connection with all of his supporters, and he’s well known for setting proper vibes suited for every event. A skilled creative DJ with a distinct sound, Damian Sam is on a steady pace to play at a club near you. He thrives to reach new heights while gaining recognition and impacting the house music community in his own way. “Family, friends and music is what my life revolves around. It’s not the size of the crowd that matters, but rather curating a genuine connection with people. That’s what makes me smile.”

David Khanjian DAVÍ Los Angeles, California, USA Label's: Crosstown Rebels, Babiczstyle, Bits & Pieces, Treibstoff, Anjunadeep, DELYSID, Crosstown Rebels, Rebellion, Kindisch Biography: Hailed as “LA's best kept secret”, David “DAVI” Khanjian internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner grew up surrounded by the sounds of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Deeply passionate about music since childhood, it didn't take long before he was admitted to the prestigious Komitas State Conservatory's music department in Yerevan, Armenia. But it wasn't until his move to Los Angeles that the magic truly began to unfold. At the young age of 17, Davi began producing electronic dance music inspired by many world-class producers and DJjs like Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells and 16 Bit Lolitas. Shortly thereafter he was the resident at the top electronic dance club in Armenia where his career began to unfold. With his move to Los Angeles in 2006, Davi dove right into the underground scene and locked himself in the studio for years to follow while playing at local Los Angeles clubs nights like Monday Night Social at Playhouse, Avalon, and Vanguard. Davi's countless hours in the studio opened many doors for him, first of which was remixing Robert Babiczs' “Zero” anthem which was released on the new Treibstoff label at the time. Earning recognition from top DJs in the scene like John Digweed, Guy J, Nick Warren, and 16 Bit Lolitas; Davi began establishing a name for himself in the Los Angeles underground scene. Shortly thereafter in 2010 Davi became a resident DJ for Insomniac Events in Los Angeles, where he established his residency at Exchange LA and began playing Insomniac Festivals including twice at Escape from Wonderland opening for Richie Hawtin's Enter stage. Since Davi's connection with Insomniac, he has been sharing the decks with some of the top producers and DJ's of our time including John Digweed, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Green Velvet, Art Department, James Zabiela and Hernan Cattaneo to name a few. Davi's name can be found on multiple labels today including Rebellion, Anjunadeep, Treibstoff, Hope Recordings, and Baroque. After having attended Burning Man for over six years, Davi collectively put all his Rebel heart inspiration in the studio to create his first Crosstown Rebels EP in 2013 called “Two Suns in the Sky.” This was a tremendous boost to Davi's career, which led him to begin touring worldwide in 2014 having visited London, Amsterdam, Israel, New Caledonia, Canada and all over the United States Miami, New York, Boston, and Las Vegas among others... ссылка davi_official davi_us For bookings contact: angela@theafifigroup.com

She built a reputation on the club circuit through her dedication at Exchange LA, but more importantly, she began to cultivate her own following through her regular duties behind the decks. Through her unique style and riveting sets, she quickly caught the undivided attention of the industry and fans alike and eventually became a resident DJ at Exchange LA, the first and only woman to hold that role at the venue. She’s since opened the club’s main stage for a number of dance music heavyweights and fellow up-and-comers, from rising house star Sonny Fodera (Defected Records), trance favorites Gareth Emery and Ørjan Nilsen, Mat Zo, and the Anjunabeats family, all performances that reflect her versatility as a DJ as well as her wide-spanning and diverse musical styles. Elsewhere, she’s also performed at numerous events and venues all across Southern California including Kitsch Bar (Like.Minded), Deepaura Desert Gathering, Subsurface, Avalon in Hollywood, Re:Love in the Park and more. As one of the fastest-rising female DJs in Los Angeles, Jarin Love also champions equality and social awareness through respect, recognition, and celebration of all people, no matter gender or background. A proud mother of three kids, she’s raised her children surrounded by the infectious positivity of the local dance community and looks to spread the love to those in her circle and beyond. “I want to set the bar for other female DJs all across our nation,” says Jarin Love. “I want to tell them to never give up and to follow their dreams. I’m here to encourage other moms who DJ, or who may want to learn how to DJ, to keep going and grind away regardless of the obstacles and negativity in life.” DOWNLOAD: https://theartistunion.com/tracks/2219f7 Tracklist: Fire (Solemn Eye Edit) - Nina Kraviz Fayen (Florian Rietze Remix) - Hot Steppa Bright Lights (Walker & Royce Remix) - Digitaria & 12 Stories Call You Back (Original Mix) - Josh Butler Stairs (Original Mix) - Jiggler Magnetar (Original Mix) - Groovebox That's It (Original Mix) - Adrian Hour Impact (Original Mix) - Jiggler Underworld (Original Mix) - DJ PP, Jack Mood A Feeling (Original Mix) - Tiger Stripes Moonshine (Original Mix) - David Keno Astralis (Original Mix) - Moonwalk Go (Bart Skils Remix) - Moby Follow Jarin Love on the web! https://soundcloud.com/jarinlove https://www.facebook.com/JarinLoveMusic Website: http://likemindedculture.com/ Facebook: https://facebook.com/likemindedculture Instagram: https://instagram.com/likemindedculture/

My good friend LA Muerte of Newestra asked me to join in on his "Wolf Den Takeover" of the Gallery at Exchange LA this Saturday March 9th featuring Carl Cox. It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to spin a later set. So I've taken this opportunity to do a mix of old and new 125+ bpm favorites I haven't been able to play out recently. Hope you dig these vibes as I don't always get a chance to share these. See you on the dance floor! 3/9/13 Insomniac presents: Inception Saturdays feat.
