Andy is on cloud nine for this Victory Monday episode, as Illinois alum Thomas Detry won the WM Phoenix Open going away. Brendan and Andy discuss Detry's first PGA Tour win and his outstanding play on the weekend that earned him a champagne shower and victory hugs on the 18th green from international stars like Matt Wallace, Ryan Fox, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. The two wrap up more stories from Phoenix, including a big week from Jordan Spieth, a tie for second from Daniel Berger, and a faulty back nine from Scottie Scheffler on Sunday. Rasmus Hojgaard also received some flowers from Andy, leading to a wider conversation about possible European Ryder Cuppers in February. Andy and Brendan then recap the golf weekend across the rest of the world. They share their favorite Haotong Li memories as a way to commemorate his win on the DP World Tour and wonder how the U.S. Virgin Islands became the title sponsor for the LPGA's Founders Cup. PJ jumps in to detail how Bob Papa was growing the game of golf in Morocco while covering Miguel Angel Jimenez's win on the Champions Tour. The golf recaps close with a segment on LIV's debut under the lights, where Andy calls winner Adrian Meronk the "GOAT of Night Golf." This episode ends with a brief discussion about Tiger Woods playing in next week's Genesis at Torrey Pines, a place where he's won eight times.

Hi guys and welcome to 2025! To start off 2025 I was joined by LPGA Tour Caddy Scottie Leonard @worldwidescottie who caddies at the moment for the super Ingrid Lindblad as we look forward to the start of their season in Brandenton, Florida for Founders Cup which leaves it traditional home of Upper Montclair, New Jersey.  We find out how Scottie even without a real golfing background was able to get a job as a club caddy at his local golf club as it made more money than cleaning the golf carts. Scottie would then get breaks with Jennifer Chang and would also caddy for Elizabeth Szokol before landing full time role on the Epson Tour last year with Ingrid Lindblad where she would have the chance to win before finishing 2nd to Fati Fernandez Cano then at Tuscaloosa Classic where Ingrid would win on Epson Tour contributing massively to her finishing 6th overall gaining full status on LPGA for 2025!  Scottie also co-hosts a caddy interview show on YouTube called My Side of the Bag with experienced caddy Drew Hinesley where their primary focus is showing you all the insights of life as a Tour Caddy! Listen on YouTube if you could! Listen, Download, Rate and Review on Apple Podcasts & Podbean. Be sure to give a 5 star review as it helps with the growth in this exciting time!

It's major championship-eve and Andy and Brendan are ready for Oak Hill but first they need to discuss a likely best-case scenario for the non-designated Nelson in Jason Day ending a winless drought on Mother's Day. They laud the TPC Summerlin model for getting the winning score in at 23-under. They pan CBS for the coverage at the conclusion. With LIV Tulsa, they praise the industrious Stingers and discuss many CW affiliates taking the golf off their station with about 90 minutes to go and a great leaderboard. The Senior Tour major is a reason to talk about arguably the most offensive backboard situation in all of pro golf, with a little Stricker dominance mixed in. The event that got perhaps the best finish of weekend was the LPGA's Founders Cup with a playoff between two of the best on tour from the past couple years. There's also a shoutout for the Swedish winner on the Euro Tour.

It was that time of year for Jeff's annual buddies trip/event to the Classic at Maddens and the weather was dreadful in the Brainerd lakes area. Rain, wind and cold couldn't stop Jeff as he battled the elements at one of Minnesota's best tracks. The favorite Jon Rahm held on to win the Mexico Open versus a subpar field this week. The Wells Fargo Championship moves away from Quail Hollow for a year and up the Washington D.C. area at TPC Potomac at Avenal Farm. We will dive into the course a little bit and give our predictions for the week. Mike and Tim are going on another day trip this weekend, this time to Albert Lea, Minnesota for the the 2nd annual Founders Cup event of the Honorable Company of Minnesota Golfers. We will preview the format for the 36 hole event and have some laughs about last years event.

Dave Arsenault was introduced to lacrosse at the 1969 Canada Summer Games held in Halifax when he was 14 years old. He would play for Dartmouth, Shearwater, and Sackville for a year of Junior. His legacy to the game is that of a builder and this started at age 17 when he was asked to coach and referee. He moved to New Brunswick and went to play for the local Saint John Junior team. They played teams from Sackville, Caraquet and Charlottetown. Eventually a Maritime Junior Lacrosse League formed. The legendary Bill McBain became head coach of the New Brunswick Junior team in 1976 and took them to the Founders Cup in Windsor, Ontario later that year. Another memorable moment occurred when the 1977 Canada Summer Games were held in Newfoundland. The New Brunswick team went to the Rock a few weeks before the Games to help Team Newfoundland prepare for the competition. Arsenault kept his playing career going when he played for the first New Brunswick Senior Team in 1978. That team travelled to the Presidents Cup later that year. That same year Arsenault and some fellow players started a Youth League in New Brunswick. The League was incorporated by 1981. Dave Arsenault would become Head Coach of the 1985 Summer Games Team. In 1988, work commitments took him away from the game. He was able to return to the game in 2001 and worked with Bruce Logan on development. Arsenault would become Head Coach of Team New Brunswick in 2003. He remained part of the Provincial Team Program for 15 years. He was made Technical Director for the provincial governing body from 2012-2016. During this time he helped P.E.I. grow the game and began working with New Brunswick First Nations communities. He also got schools going and new field lacrosse programs were introduced. The Maritime Cup for U15 and U18 Boys Field Lacrosse Teams was created. All of these efforts were recognized with his induction into the Saint John Sports Hall of Fame in 2017 for his work at the local local and provincial levels.

Annie is the winner of the 2018 ShopRite Classic, a 2019 Solheim Cup member for team USA, winner of the 2013 NCAA individual championship while playing for USC, a 3-time Symetra Tour winner, and perhaps the nicest player on tour since 2016! Alli and Jason Wiertel sat down a few months ago with Annie during the Founders Cup pro-am. Her smile, laugh, and character shine throughout this episode, just like they do for her each and every day. Annie is a true pro who reached the top of the game with grit, persistence, and hard work. She has a seasoned perspective on the journey to become great, but she has never sacrificed herself along the way. It was obvious throughout this POD who Annie is as a person. She is more than a golfer on her grind to win on the LPGA tour. She is a light and an example for anyone aspiring to make it in the game of golf and in life.

Todays guest is Jen See. Jen is a talented writer who does all types of freelance writing. She writes for Beach Grit, Redbull and Men's Journal just to name few. Jens writing has caught my eye ever since she covered the "Founders Cup" for the first ever WSL, Kelly Slater Wave Ranch event. Since covering the contest, her writing has appeared more and more on Beach Grit. Beach Grit is a Surf Gossip Website where the comment boards can be  funny revelatisons about life, Surfing or the WSL or a Nuclear war zone of scourged earth and dead bodies. ....depending on your mood. Jen's writing is quick, funny and too the point. Some of her greatest work is a series called "SurfLine Man" The story of an on going saga of the "Surfer that tries too hard" Its a great series cause theres a little "Surfline Man " in us all. I  caught up with Jen, Who lives in Santa Barbara...to talk Surf, Life and Writing for "Beach Grit" This was a fun episode and Jen id a good sport.
