Episode 269 features former Major League Baseball pitcher, Bill Pulsipher, telling his story to help others, Bubb'n Mutha's founder, John Fuhrman dishing out barbecue and baseball talk, Leonard rants, and we celebrate our show's seven year anniversary. Bill Pulsipher is one third of what New York Mets fans once knew as "Generation K." It was a moniker he shared with his two other teammates, Jason Isringhausen and Paul Wilson. The media dubbed them as the members and the fans, desperate for players to help their team, bought into the hype. The amount of pressure this placed on Bill and the other two Generation K members was extreme and Bill tells all, including a career derailed by injuries and severe depression. Bill spent parts of six Major League Baseball seasons with the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals. We tend to put these talented athletes on pedestals and revere them as heroes, but pulling back the curtain reveals they are as human as everyone else and, after listening to Bill's story you may have a new appreciation for what some of them deal with. John Fuhrman is the founder of Bubb'n Mutha's which manufactures premium spice rub blends. After serving in the United States Navy, John, worked in the auto industry and ended up in North Carolina. While there he fell in love with barbecue and learned how to cook it and experimented with different spices and rubs. John returned to Maine and started this company, making his products with special real Maine ingredients like organic blueberry powder, maple crystals and even Raye's Mustard which is the oldest mustard company in America. John loves baseball and barbecue and we delve deeply into both topics. For more information on John or to order his products go to https://www.bubnmuthas.com We conclude the show with the song, Baseball Always Brings You Home from the musician, Dave Dresser and the poet, Shel Krakofsky. We truly appreciate our listeners and hope that all of you are staying safe. If you would like to contact the show, we would love to hear from you. Mit: Karin Pfammatter (Laura), Julian A. Schneider (Emil), Marie Löcker (Regine), Annika Meier (Hanna), Thomas Sarbacher (Luzi), Andri Schenardi (Albedo), Sabrina Amali (Kiki/Drohnen), Alexander M. Schmidt (Lidwetzky), Sabina Deutsch (Amalia), Kilian Land (RoboCop/RoboRoll/Polizist), Néisha da Silva (Bulu), Michael Schertenleib (Smolk) - Tontechnik: Tom Willen - Dramaturgie: Susanne Janson - Regieassistenz: Nora Osagiobare - Regie: Mark Ginzler - Produktion: SRF für den ARD Radio Tatort 2024 - Dauer: 53'

16. februāra vakarā ar svinīgo balvu pasniegšanas ceremoniju noslēdzās Berlīnes Starptautiskais kinofestivāls. Galveno balvu iegūst Karlas Simonas filma "Alcarras".

Two children in contemporary New Bedford, Massachusetts spend an eventful summer in a beach house with their mother and her boyfriend in SWEET THING, director Alexandre Rockwell's poetic, uplifting rendering of childhood which captured the Berlinale Crystal Bear in the Generation K-plus section in 2020. In SWEET THING, Billie (Lana Rockwell, Little Feet), a 15-year-old girl who fantasizes Billie Holiday as a sort of fairy godmother, is forced to navigate the evolving challenges of her life while she plays mother to her 11-year-old brother, Nico (Nico Rockwell, Little Feet). They soon meet up with another adolescent, run away from home, and together roam the area free from their parents' watchful gaze. Discovering freedom and enchantment among New Bedford's boats and railway tracks, the trio fantasize about a life of luxury when they break into a posh home, and are able to carry the taste of affluence into their adventures. An ode to that trying age when young people prepare to take their first step into adulthood, SWEET THING, starring Rockwell's children Lana and Nico, Karyn Parsons and Will Patton, is an intense but ultimately uplifting, portrait that captures the essence of that time in life when a day can last forever.

Baseball is banned, the team is under quarantine AND THE METS STILL FIND A WAY TO GET HURT. If you thought sports being gone was just a dream, well this injury is your “Inception” totem. This is not a dream, folks. This is New York Mets baseball through-and-through. Noah Syndergaard will have Tommy John surgery Thursday, officially marking the death of the "Power-5 Era." It’s Pete Alonso’s burden to carry now. Do you Gotta Believe when there’s nothing left to believe in? We don’t know, but we’ll be here all season, ball or not, because we’re in this together.

Welcome to UnforMETable, a new show from Amazin’ Avenue that looks back on less heralded, more obscure, but quintessential Mets players from the past This week, Rob Wolff travels back to the mid 1990s, as the Mets tried to build on Generation K by bringing in a couple of veteran outfielders, including Bernard Gilkey—would would go on to have one of the great single seasons in Mets history—which led to one of the great movie cameos in Mets history. Loved this interview I did when I was in LA for the Generation K launch! We dove right into everything from the story behind K-swiss, Planet of The Apps and we get straight into the reasoning about "THE SIDE HUSTLE IS REAL". Enjoy ;)
This is a HUGE one. Having the guys from K-Swiss on the show was spectacular and I'm so humbled to be a part of their new launch that's breathing life back into the brand (a long with a very secret announcement coming later

One of the most common traps we fall for in our lives is Attachment. We get into a mind set that things have to be the way they are forever, with no changes whatsoever. Whether it be a relationship, a possession of yourself. Attaching yourself to material things, to people, to ideas all do one thing.. Limit you to the possibilities you are capable of! If you attach to one idea, you are no attached to the idea that you are NOT something else. Keep your options open, learn to love and appreciate without fearing loss of something or even a loss of identity. You are you, no matter what you chose to do with your life. No matter who is in your life, no matter what you have in your life. Check out Generation K podcast on Itunes tinyurl.com/generationk CAMS-USA.com for all of your custom needs! On this week's podcast, Zack Hill which has made an appearance in the Generation K podcast with Kevin Hintz, comes down with his amazing wife to join me for a journey through raging river of unpredictable waters which we all call LOVE and all that comes along with it. If you have ever thought that love is a fairly tale you are very mistaken. Love takes a lot of work from both of the people involved. Sometimes it takes too much from us and we end up losing each other over trying to keep the relationship alive. This couple has been through so much and endure even more. They share with us what a real story of love sounds like. From the beginning when they hated each other, through many tests and obstacles in which they might have chosen not be physically present in each other's lives, but remained close, to the birth of their beautiful daughter which turned out to be filled with its own complications and obstacles to overcome. What was planned out to be a beautiful, natural water birth, quickly got thrown out the window to try to deliver the baby alive. Missing out on the ability to experience a proper connection with the baby would send many mothers into a depressing spiral, but we will soon find out how they turned their whole experience from a breaking point to a deep and an unbreakable aspect of their lives. Through all the hardships of their story together, they have always been facing tough and difficult situations, yet they sit in front of me, with their spirits high, love on full blast, and an outlook on life that brings light to any persons eyes! Join us for the full story! Don't forget to keep up with me AndreyPsyche.com
