Báðir höfðu þeir heyrt, úr ólíkum áttum, að Heimir Hallgrímsson fyrrum landsliðsþjálfari sé á óskalista kanadíska félagsins Vancouver Whitecaps sem spilar í MLS-deildinni bandarísku. Sagan segir að Heimir sé í Vancouver en þjálfari liðsins var rekinn í lok september. Leigubílasögur úr Pepsi-deildinni voru einnig til umræðu og kíkt í neðri deildir. Er Arnar Gunnlaugs rétti maðurinn fyrir Víkinga? Er Guðjón Þórðarson að fara að þjálfa í 3. deildinni næsta sumar?

Heimir Hallgrímsson landsliðsþjálfari býst við erfiðari leik gegn öflugri leikmönnum á morgun en mikill áhugi er fyrir leiknum í Indónesíu. Elvar Geir Magnússon, Benedikt Bóas Hinriksson og Guðlaugur Baldursson ræddu um þetta landsliðsverkefni í útvarpsþættinum og þá var hringt út þar sem Heimir sjálfur var á línunni.

Heimir Hallgrímsson landsliðsþjálfari vonast eftir því að Íslendingar muni panta sér ferðir til Rússlands í hrönnum þegar ljóst verður á föstudag hvar keppnisstaðir landsliðsins verða. Beðið er með mikilli eftirvæntingu eftir því að dregið verður í riðla á föstudaginn, klukkan 15:00 að íslenskum tíma.

Á föstudaginn tilkynnti Heimir Hallgrímsson landsliðshópinn sem mætir Króatíu í stórleik á Laugardalsvelli næstkomandi sunnudag.
