On Tuesday, New Orleans Saints coach Dennis Allen said All-Pro cornerback Marshon Lattimore will be back in 2024. Not saying we're not sure, but is it a big deal we have heard nothing from Lattimore's camp? What about how the team is lining up on the offensive line in OTAs, and what should we expect from Alvin Kamara, who also is a no show this week. Host Jim Derry will ask WWL-TV sports director Doug Mouton on Wednesday's Dattitude Podcast (Ep. 242) presented by Evangeline Securities. Doug also will share his thoughts on what Klint Kubiak is doing thus far and a big difference we might see in the role of Taysom Hill, as well as his viewpoint of the schedule and prediction for 2024. They also talked about LSU baseball live as they were whooping up on Kentucky in the SEC Baseball Tournament. On the 'Extra Point,' Jim thinks the “double first base” the SEC is experimenting with could be done quite differently. Is it safety or silly?

Fasten your seatbelts as this edition will be a sports roller coaster ride with pah-lenty of highs/lows, twists and turns that'll have your cup spilling over. On deck: (4:11) The NBA's second weekend was more thrilling than the previous one as there's a lot to uncover. The Clippers and Mavericks played a thriller in Game 4 as the Clips even the series at 2 from the heroics of Paul George and James Harden. Kyrie Irving almost pulled his team from the dead as they were down 31 in the second quarter, but fell short. The Bucks are on life support as they are facing a 3-1 series deficit with no Giannis Antetokounmpo, and perhaps no Damian Lillard as the Pacers look to wrap up their series. How the past 365+ for the Bucks have been a complete nightmare? I'll further explain. I'll also expound on the Phoenix Suns being the first team departed from the postseason as they were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Give credit to Anthony Edwards and their maturity over the past couple of years, but this Suns team is facing some tough times ahead. With three players (Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal) who are suffocating their payroll, will this team ever compete for an NBA Finals? What about the legacy of Kevin Durant? I'll divulge my thoughts and also, why it's smart for the Suns to trade Durant this offseason? I'll discuss the other series (PHI-NY, MIA-BOS, NO-OKC, LAL-DEN, ORL-CLE) in detail as we're getting into the deep end of the first round. (31:59) The Stanley Cup Playoffs have been underwhelming, which is a surprise. We have one sweep in the books (Rangers over Capitals) one series that's 2-1 (Vegas up on Dallas) and the other six are at 3-1, isn't shaping up to have one go seven games. The Predators suffered one of the most bitter defeats that you can ever imagine. Choking a two goal lead with three minutes to go and losing in OT to go down 3-1 back to Vancouver. Can they (or the Islanders, Lightning, Kings, Maple Leafs and Jets) extend their series to a sixth game? (47:59) Another NFL Draft is in the books. I'll recap the highlights of Round 1, which was lacking drama or intrigue. Plus, other notable players that were drafted in the later rounds. The Shield (aka the NFL) are mulling an 18 game schedule with the Super Bowl falling on President's Weekend. How do I feel about that? (1:04:54) There was baseball in Mexico over the weekend? Was MLB trying to keep this a secret/under wraps? Why wasn't this promoted? Well, the Astros and Rockies matched up for a couple of games as the league expands their visibility outside of the United States. One series that I'm all over is the Yankees invading Baltimore for the first time this year in a battle for AL East supremacy. I'll take a look at what else is happening in the sport as we're just past the first month of the season. Are you one of those people who literally tries to do it all? Is your answer to that question yes but you are too scared to actually say it out loud?Running a business, a home, relationships and a life all at the same time can be extremely overwhelming, but even if most of us feel this way a lot of people will avoid ever doing anything about it. This week on the show, Dr. Lauryn chats with Kara McKeage about exactly this problem and what Kara and her business have done to help with it. Kara is the founder of Pepper's Personal Assistants, which specializes in placing personal assistants, or household assistants as she would say, into people's homes to dramatically change their lives. During their conversation Dr. Lauryn and Kara cover what the purpose of a household assistant is, why it's so hard for so many to give up control and learn to delegate, the generational and gender differences at play with this topic, where to start if you want to get back some of your time, and much more!Learn more about Pepper's Personal Assistants by visiting their website.Follow Kara: LinkedIn | InstagramTo learn more about and get tickets to the WDC Unconvention 2023 event, visit here.Dr. Lauryn references The New Gold Standard book in the intro, it can be purchased here.– – – – – Barbenheimer (00:00)Authentic and Sincere Caring Can't Be Systematized (01:45)WDC Convention (08:40)Giving Up Control and Introducing the Episode (09:25)Opening Prayer (16:25)Guest Bio (18:30)Kara's Background and Path to Entrepreneurship (19:25)Purpose of a Household Assistant (24:05)Learning to Delegate (26:55)Buying Back Time (29:55)Generational and Gender Differences (36:25)No One Can Do Everything (47:30)Dealing with Judgment (51:15)What the First Steps Look Like (55:35)The Financial Equation of Getting Assistance (59:20)Hurdles in Growing a Business Like Kara's (01:01:40)Giving a Household Assistant Feedback and Criticism (01:03:50)Where People Can Find and Work with Kara (01:08:10)– – – – – To learn more about Sked visit their website. To learn more about Dr. Tony Ebel's Pediatric Experience head to the PX website! To learn more about CLA and the INSiGHT scanner go to this website and enter code SHESLAYS when prompted. To check out all the great products from Well Aligned, visit here.To hear all the great stuff happening on patreon you can visit here.
Getting older is a fact of life, and one that we pretty much all end up freaking out about at some point. Turning 30 happens to be one of the most popular times (for women especially) to have one of those moments of panic, which is exactly what happened for Emma Wilson. However, Emma found her way through that moment and came out stronger and more sure of the life she wanted to live and is now focused on helping others do exactly the same through her Turning 30 platform, coaching, and podcast. In today's episode Dr. Lauryn is joined by Emma to discuss all aspects of life as you age. During their conversation they discuss Emma's own turning 30 moment and how she left a law career and eventually found coaching, why you need to make decisions for yourself and not because society tells you to, how to put aside your ego, and much more. Historiansplaining: A historian tells you why everything you know is wrong
At the height of their power in the Baroque Age, the Habsburgs aspired to rule the entire world; by the end of the ninetheenth century, they strove merely to maintain control over the volatile lands of the upper Danube valley. We trace how the Habsburgs' domains evolved from a messy collection of local duchies into an absolutist empire, and finally into a complex military-industrial state, the home of artistic modernism, which was nonetheless threatened with destruction by a welter of nationalist movements and by the rising power of Serbia and Russia.
