Why is there so much violence and hatred in our communities today? What could cause someone to commit a heinous crime? Lisa continues the conversation today with Scarlett Lewis, the mother who experienced unimaginable tragedy when her 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, was killed during the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting massacre in December of 2012. After the tragedy, Scarlett knew she had to find an understanding as she didn't want the shooter to impact her living son. She knew she needed to move through the emotions. Scarlett began asking if it could be that society has failed those children who have had difficult experiences, thereby leading them to commit terrible acts of violence. Scarlett discusses emo-diversity and how the more emotions we have, the healthier we are. Emotions assist you to navigate and provide information to help you live your best life. We don't want to limit them. You can then examine your thoughts around the emotion. Scarlett talks about starting the “Choose Love” Movement which is now in 14,000 schools around the world. She asks us to stop squashing and ignoring painful emotions. There's a healthy way to adjust. It's done through presence. Scarlett talks about the “moment of choice.” You react and you can thoughtfully respond. Our fear center is very fast, due to survival. Everything is filtered through the fear center first. You may have an immediate reaction. Your brain's job is to defend you. Most people are living from their reactive center. It becomes easy to get triggered. But we can control this by pausing and thoughtfully responding with love or compassion. Life gives us plenty of situations to choose love. If your life is not in danger, pause and get curious about that person's point of pain. If someone is not kind, they are coming from pain. You can think about how to respond. You can learn to love and accept yourself. Know that you are not the cause of that person's pain. Even if they are lashing out at you, it is because they are in pain. This can lead to compassion and even possible forgiveness. The person is 100% responsible for their behavior, but you can de-escalate the conversation, and this allows you to be in control. You can move beyond to healthier relationships. Forgiveness is the way to healthy relationships and meaningful connections. This is a learned behavior. We need to find role models. This can begin to be taught in schools so we can move forward and can move through pain. Scarlett decided to focus on the root cause – pain. She was determined to heal her own pain and to teach others to do the same through her “Choose Life” movement. Scarlett talks about meeting Nick Ortner who taught her about using tapping for healing. She also shares the story of meeting Wayne Dyer and the profound affect he had on her life. Scarlett discusses how communication is the opposite of violence. Communication is connection and connection is love. Love is what we all have in common. We are all human beings, and everyone wants to feel connection and love. This is the basis of what Scarlett teaches. We all want safety and peace. We need to be more vocal and courageous to achieve this and not devolve into bullying, whether through words or actions. It all starts with our thoughts and our words. Scarlett realized she needed to be the model of recovery and post-traumatic growth for her son. In every single action, we can be kind, compassionate, and ultimately choose love. If we can change one angry thought into a loving thought, our entire lives can change. We can truly be the change we want to see. This is the basis of the “Choose Love” Movement. Through her “Choose Love” organization, Scarlett took the tragedy and turned it into an opportunity to build a culture of love, resilience, and forgiveness. She is the author of several books including, “Nurturing, Healing, Love” and the upcoming “From Sandy Hook to the World: How the Choose Love Movement Transforms Lives.” This is Part 2 of the interview.  Info: ChooseLoveMovement.org.

How is it possible to heal after experiencing unimaginable horror, such as the loss of a child? Today's guest, Scarlett Lewis, experienced profound tragedy when her 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, was killed during the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting massacre in December of 2012. The first few days were so incredibly painful, she didn't know if she could survive. She did not know if she could ever heal from that level of a broken heart. She shares the story of meeting with another woman who lost her child during a different event, and how angry this parent was 20 years later. She made a choice that she needed to model a different way of being for her older son, J.T. Scarlett talks about how pain is an incredible catalyst for growth. She did not want Jesse's murder to define her. She found an opportunity of connection through pain. As difficult as it was, she learned to choose love and healing. Two weeks after the tragedy, it was Christmas. Scarlett decided to take her son JT to Disney World for a healing trip. She talks about numerous miraculous messages she received which she believed were from Jesse. There she experienced miracles and micro-moments of joy. Scarlett suggests practicing being present with the ones you love and the importance of recognizing that time. She found a message that Jesse wrote on the chalkboard at home shortly before his murder. The words were “Nurturing, Healing, Love.” She determined that she would spend her life being part of this message and being part of the solution. She believes we are all responsible for what is going on in society. We must realize that we have to be the change that we want to see. Once you make that determination, you realize you are no longer the victim and can be motivated. There's so much we can do. With every step, you gain self-worth and self-esteem, and it makes you want to do more.   We are not born with essential life skills. We must learn them. There is so much bullying in today's society by children and adults, especially on social media. We don't have the skills to manage our anger and pain. She decided to create a healing movement and her program “Choose Love” is now in more than 14,000 schools worldwide. She talks about how pain has a purpose in our lives, yet somehow, we are so afraid of it, we ignore it or push it away. People are living in a state of perpetual PTSD. People can be so negative because of this. Scarlett talks about the concept of PTG or Post-Traumatic Growth. We can grow through difficulty and her organization teaches how to do this through a powerful formula. When a child experiences difficulty, they can learn through it. They can become curious and can learn to choose love over fear. Scarlett has also interviewed other school shooters.  She is trying to understand their mindsets to find out what is needed. Even though their actions were monstrous, Scarlett recognizes that they are actually human beings in pain. She wanted to ask them the very tough question of “How did we, as a society, fail you?” as she knows they were not born as a murderer. They have so much pain, and so little social and emotional competence, that they had to take it out on others. She is trying to understand what we could do to prevent this, and part of it is a matter of belonging. Everyone wants to be seen. Through her “Choose Love” organization, Scarlett took the tragedy and turned it into an opportunity to build a culture of love, resilience, and forgiveness. She is the author of several books including, “Nurturing, Healing, Love” and “From Sandy Hook to the World: How the Choose Love Movement Transforms Lives.” This is Part 1 of the interview.  Info: ChooseLoveMovement.org.

The Official Concept

Jesse Lewis, known simply as “Jesse,” is a Japanese singer and member of the chart-topping music sextet SixTONES (pronounced “stones”). Active in the entertainment industry since the age of 10, in 2012 he was cast in the raucous teen television series “Bakaleya High School,” where his on-screen chemistry with 5 other up-and-coming stars directly led to the formation of SixTONES in 2015 and their major mainstream music debut under Sony Music in 2020. Their first single “Imitation Rain,” produced by the world-renown rock star and composer YOSHIKI, sold 1.3 million physical units in less than a week after release, and since then the group has released a total of 10 more singles and 3 albums--each of which has topped Japan's highly-acclaimed Oricon sales charts--with their hotly anticipated 4th album THE VIBES releasing in January 2024 and a multi-city dome-class national concert tour kicking off in February. In addition to his phenomenal singing voice, Jesse's outgoing personality and comic elasticity continue to net him coveted roles on both stage and screen, including as the psycho primary antagonist in director Isao Yukisada's international festival darling “Revolver LILY,” the voice of the awkward yet angel-voiced Alfonso in Illumination/Universal's “Sing 2” (replacing Pharrell Williams in the local dub), and the titular Beetlejuice for the Japan premiere of the smash-hit Broadway musical. His 6ft frame also serves him well, both as a cover model for top men's fashion magazines and on the runway for Hermes. In this interview with The Official Concept, he talks about how it all began, the influence of growing up in a bicultural household, and advice he has for other young entertainers looking for a shot at stardom! Greetings and welcome back to In Summation - The Final Word.  In this episode, Paul explores one of the select carve outs to the 1st Amendment's guarantee to free speech.  With several very high profile cases on this topic in the last few years, it felt worthwhile for Paul to go through what defamation is, how it works, and why this particular brand of speech can be regulated. To really explore this topic, we examine one of the most heartbreaking series of events in recent memory.  On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza went on a horrific and destructive killing spree at an elementary school in Newton, Connecticut.  He ultimately killed 26 people, and ruined the lives of hundreds more.  The country mourned the senseless loss of life and the event was front and center on national media for weeks. But then, a whisper of dissent began.  A voice started to challenge the narrative.  One person began to loudly assert that what we all thought we knew about the Newton Elementary School shooting was wrong.  He started claiming that the whole event was a staged government production intended to spur support for gun control regulation.  He said no one actually died and the people interviewed were actually "crisis actors."That man was Alex Jones.  Jones launched a years-long assault through his growing media empire against the people who lost their children, and his supporters heard him and took some of the most offensive actions you can imagine.  The parents of murdered children were harassed, followed, doxxed, threatened, and basically made to relive the worst moments of their life in despicable ways.  Finally,  the parents of 6 year old Jesse Lewis had had enough.  Neil Heslin and Scarlet Lewis filed a defamation suit against Jones in what would set off a cascade of defamation lawsuits and would cripple Jones' "InfoWars" radio and internet show.  Listen to how it all unfolded here.

It's Monday, August 8th, A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Iraqi Christians mark tragic anniversary August 6, 2014 is a day Iraqi Christians will never forget. They call it the “Black Day.” Max Wood, Chairman of the American Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, told The Worldview what happened, WOOD: “On August 6, 2014, the ISIS military forces came to a town called Qaraqosh, Iraq, which has traditionally been one of the largest Christian towns in Iraq. They gave the residents of that town just a few hours to either leave or convert to Islam or be killed. As a result, 50,000 Iraqi Christians left that day.” Those Iraqi Christians fled to Turkey, Syria, and Jordan. However, the majority of them, 40,000, went to Jordan which is very welcoming to refugees. The American Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East provides food for 8,000 of these Iraqi Christian refugees. WOOD: “Iraqi Christians are allowed to have refuge in Jordan, but they're not allowed to work in Jordan. That's the policy of the King of Jordan. Some refugee groups are allowed to work, but the Christian refugees are not.” Matthew 14:14 says, “When Jesus saw the great crowd, He had compassion on them.” Consider giving a donation to help pay for the food of the Iraqi Christian refugees in Jordan through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Plus, they've established the Olive Tree Center outside the Jordanian capital of Amman. WOOD: “And then we sustain their mental and emotional needs through our Olive Tree Center which offers music classes, guitar classes, piano classes, art classes, English classes are extremely popular, cooking classes give these ladies a chance to gather together as Iraqis in a foreign land.” On Saturday, they held a day of commemoration for the Iraqi Christian refugees in Jordan. WOOD: “On August 6, they had a commemoration ceremony there at the Olive Tree Center commemorating this day. They call this day the Black Day. It's similar to America's experience with September 11. It's a date they will never forget. It's a date that was horrific for them. It's a date that changed their lives forever.” China to U.S.A.: You can't 'treat countries like George Floyd' Enraged by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's August 2nd visit to the island nation of Taiwan, off the coast of China, a Chinese diplomat named Hua Chunying,  said, 'We cannot allow the U.S. to take itself as ‘world policeman' and treat other countries [like] George Floyd whom it can bully and strangle at will,” reports The Daily Mail. China's military fired 11 ballistic missiles into the Taiwan Strait - with five landing in Japan's exclusion zone. Alex Jones ordered to pay $45.2M more over Sandy Hook lies On Friday, an Austin, Texas jury ordered conspiracy theorist talk show host Alex Jones to pay $45.2 million in punitive damages to the parents of a child who was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, adding to the $4.1 million he must pay for the suffering he put them through by claiming for years that the nation's deadliest school shooting was a hoax, reports the Associated Press. The total — $49.3 million — is less than the $150 million sought by Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, whose 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, was among the 20 children and six educators killed by Adam Lanza, in the 2012 attack in Newtown, Connecticut. But the trial marks the first time Jones has been held financially liable for peddling lies about the massacre, claiming it was faked by the government to tighten gun laws. Mass. GOP governor makes state abortion sanctuary On July 29th, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, a pro-abortion Republican, signed a bill codifying both abortion and puberty blockers for children into law, reports LifeNews.com. According to the Massachusetts Family Institute, this egregious law does 6 things, First, it turns Massachusetts into an “abortion sanctuary” by prohibiting the governor, courts, or law enforcement from cooperating with other states in enforcing their pro-life laws against abortionists who flee to Massachusetts. Second, it forces state universities to provide the abortion pill to students. Third, it forces insurance companies to cover abortion, even if they have religious objections. Fourth, it allows late-term abortions when a doctor deems a baby “incompatible with sustained life” outside of the womb, a decision which is not subject to review by any medical board. Fifth, it extends legal protections to Planned Parenthood which distributes puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, even in states where they have been criminalized for use on children.  Sixth, it establishes Massachusetts as an abortion exporter by: Protecting abortionists who perform abortions out-of-state, even if they violate other states' laws. Lowering or eliminating safety requirements for pharmacies to dispense abortion pills. Giving immunity to abortionists who provide abortifacient drugs through the mail or through telehealth appointments to women in states where abortion is illegal. Despite the fact that this Republican governor is clearly out of step with his own party's pro-life, anti-transgender platform, Baker celebrated the bill's signing with not just one tweet, but a second tweet. He praised the “dedication” of the legislature for passing this evil law. But Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.” After 66 days in hospital, 10-year-old Uvalde victim goes home And finally, a little girl who sustained critical injuries during the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on May 24th finally walked out of the hospital last Friday, more than two months after Salvador Ramos  killed 19 students and two teachers, reports FaithWire.com. Mayah Zamora, age 10, who was shot in three limbs, walked out on her own to cheers and joy from hospital staff. STAFF: “Mayah. Mayah. Mayah.” (cheers) Administrators at University Health, a hospital in San Antonio, Texas, tweeted, “She is our hero, and we can't wait to see all she accomplishes in the future!” A GoFundMe page with a goal of $150,000 to help with Zamora's medical bills has brought in nearly $115,000. Austin Fire is pleading with local smokers to keep their lit butts inside their cars. Following the lead of several other Texas cities including Austin, San Marcos city officials announce that their police department will not investigate violations of new abortion bans in Texas. The Alex Jones jury has delivered a verdict, awarding the parents of Sandy Hook shooting victim Jesse Lewis's parents $4.1 million - they had sought $150 million. Two more trials to go for Jones. As of Thursday, Austin has set its third-longest streak for consecutive triple-digit days at 20. Forecast models are predicting a chance of rain this weekend, and Colorado State is predicting potential hurricane relief for Central Texas. We'll believe it when we see it. City officials are considering September as a good starting point for the first pilot run of Austin's guaranteed income program, the first to be tried in Texas. The city is also calling for input on how it should manage Austin's homelessness situation. Local animal shelters, facing overcrowding, are struggling to adhere to Austin's standards as a no-kill city. Austin has been ranked #1 on a new list of cities measured by lowest carbon footprint. A Texas jury has ordered conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to pay more than US$4 million ($6.35M) in compensatory damages to the parents of a 6-year-old boy who was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. Today marks the first time the Infowars host has been held financially liable for repeatedly claiming the deadliest school shooting in US history was a hoax. The Austin jury must still decide how much the Infowars host must pay in punitive damages to Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, whose son Jesse Lewis was among the 20 children and six educators who were killed in the 2012 attack in Newtown, Connecticut. The parents had sought at least US$150 million in compensation for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Jones' attorney asked the jury to limit damages to $8 — one dollar for each of the compensation charges they are considering — and Jones himself said any award over US$2 million "would sink us". It likely won't be the last judgment against Jones over his claims that the attack was staged in the interests of increasing gun controls. A Connecticut judge has ruled against him in a similar lawsuit brought by other victims' families and an FBI agent who worked on the case. The Texas award could set a marker for other cases against Jones and underlines the financial threat he's facing. It also raises new questions about the ability of Infowars — which has been banned from YouTube, Spotify and Twitter for hate speech — to continue operating, although the company's finances remain unclear. Jones conceded during the trial that the attack was real and that he was wrong to have lied about it. But Heslin and Lewis told jurors that an apology wouldn't suffice and called on them to make Jones pay for the years of suffering he has put them and other Sandy Hook families through. Jones' media company Free Speech Systems, which is Infowars' parent company, filed for bankruptcy during the two-week trial. - Jim Vertuno, APSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

How to stop rightwing media lies?

Defamation law may turn out to be America's most important weapon against rightwing media lies.On Friday, Infowars star Alex Jones' parent media company, Free Speech Systems, filed for bankruptcy in the midst of a defamation damages trial underway in Austin, Texas. Jones, you may recall, had portrayed the Sandy Hook school shooting massacre as a hoax involving actors, aimed at increasing gun control. Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, whose 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, was among the 20 children and six educators killed, have sued Jones and his media company for $150 million. Courts in Texas and Connecticut have already found Jones liable for defamation. To win a defamation lawsuit, a plaintiff must show four things: the defendant made a false statement purporting to be fact; the statement was published or communicated; the defendant failed to exercise reasonable care or, worse, knew the statement was incorrect and hurtful but made it anyway; and the plaintiff suffered harm as a result.By these criteria, it's no wonder Jones will soon be paying out a fortune in damages. Declaring bankruptcy won't save him. Defamation litigation is slow and expensive and, like all litigation, it enriches lawyers. It can also be abused. Anyone remember what happened to Gawker after its tech blog published a post under the headline, “Peter Thiel is totally gay, people”? Billionaire Thiel quietly bankrolled Hulk Hogan, the professional wrestler, to sue Gawker for defaming Hogan in a totally unrelated story — and Hogan's nine-figure defamation award bankrupted Gawker Media. But at a time when social media can't be trusted to police itself against weaponized lies, and when much of the public doesn't trust government to regulate social media, defamation lawsuits may be the best we can hope for.One America News (OAN), a right-wing media organization that pushed conspiracy theories about the election, is facing so many defamation lawsuits from those injured by the network's lies that its future is now in doubt.Five years ago, Trump was ecstatic about OAN's flattering coverage of him. By the summer of 2020 -- dissatisfied with what he considered insufficient gushing by Fox News – Trump was urging his followers to switch to OAN and Newsmax, calling them “much better” than Fox. He did the same after the election, when OAN's journalists were more willing than many Fox correspondents to continue pushing Trump's Big Lie. Last December, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss, Georgia election workers, sued OAN hosts and guests, including Rudy Giuliani, for baselessly accusing them of committing election fraud and engaging in a criminal conspiracy. Freeman and Moss said OAN's lies subjected them to an onslaught of harassment and racist threats, leading one of them to leave her home for months at the recommendation of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. OAN ultimately settled the case for an undisclosed sum. Apparently as part of the settlement agreement, OAN admitted on air that Freeman and Miss “did not engage in ballot fraud or criminal misconduct.”Meanwhile, Dominion Voting Systems, which provided voting machines to 28 states in the 2020 election, has accused OAN of defaming the company and its products by airing false reports that its machines switched votes from Donald Trump to President Biden, thereby hurting its business and putting its employees in danger. (One of those employees, Eric Coomer, received death threats after OAN named him in a report as an alleged collaborator of the far-left movement, antifa. Coomer is now suing OAN, too.) The litigation has not gone well for OAN. Judges have rejected its motions to dismiss the case. In one ruling, a judge concluded that OAN acted “maliciously and consciously” in perpetuating falsehoods about Dominion, and that its chief White House correspondent, Chanel Rion, failed to exercise even minimal journalistic standards. In April, OAN was dropped by AT&T's DirecTV, which has about 15 million subscribers. Verizon just announced it would stop carrying OAN on its Fios television service. OAN will soon be available to no more than a few hundred thousand people.Dominion isn't stopping with OAN. It's seeking a total of $1.6 billion in damages extending to Newsmax as well as to Fox News and Fox News's parent, the News Corp. And it's seeking an additional $1.3 billion in damages from each of Trump's most whacko conspirators — Sydney Powell, Rudy Giuliani and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. As to the News Corp, Dominion alleges that Rupert Murdoch and his son, Lachlan, acted with “actual malice” because they knew that the lie Fox News was touting was false.Defamation lawsuits aren't sure things, and they pose potential threats to the free press. But if the press is alert to errors and corrects them quickly, defamation shouldn't be a problem.Sarah Palin recently lost her defamation suit against The New York Times, in which she alleged that the Times defamed her when it erroneously linked her campaign rhetoric to a mass shooting. Part of the reason Palin lost was the Times quickly corrected its mistake. The Times' behavior stands in sharp contrast to that of Fox News. Although Dominion repeatedly asked Fox News to stop its lies and correct the record, Fox persisted even though it knew they were lies (Dominion cites a report that Rupert Murdoch spoke with Trump a few days after the election “and informed him that he had lost.”)Even if it loses the lawsuit, Fox News can weather this storm financially (although cable providers are likely to use the lawsuit to drive down what Fox charges them when they renegotiate their contracts at the end of this year).Notably, though, Trump has not been interviewed on Fox in more than a hundred days and the network has avoided live coverage of his rallies and speeches, while granting more airtime to other Republican presidential hopefuls, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Meanwhile, Murdoch's Wall Street Journal and New York Post have issued sharp rebukes of Trump. Is this because the Murdochs have had a change of heart about Trump? Or because they've had a change of litigation strategy? This is a public episode. A finalist in the 2007 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, her new genre-bending quintet with Maeve Gilchrist (celtic harp), Jesse Lewis (electric guitar), Ike Sturm (electric bass), and James Shipp (synthesizers, percussion) coolly blends acoustic and electric instruments, seamlessly weaving her melodious compositions with threads of improvisation. Featuring her pure toned trumpet with electronic effects, this group released an album recorded live in Switzerland, as part of a vinyl-only box set on Newvelle Records in 2019. Lucky for us, this album, Gullfoss, was digitally released on Little Mystery Records in September 2021. It is hands-down one of my favourite releases in 2021-love at first listen. I was delighted to hear it, immediately reach out to Nadje, and have her generously agree to be a guest on the podcast. Men's Friendships (0:00:00) We live in a society that labels many things as “masculine” or “feminine” and these descriptions determine the way we build relationships. Friendship is more often considered a “feminine” quality, and a reason many men distance themselves from male friends as they get older... but how can men maintain friendships with their male friends and why is this important? Here to help us understand what people can do to repair their friendships is Niobe Way, a professor of developmental psychology at New York University and the founder of the Project for the Advancement of Our Common Humanity.   The Rollettes (0:16:11) When Chelsie Hill was a senior in high school, she was involved in a car crash that left her paralyzed from the belly button down. While the accident changed almost everything in her life, Chelsie wouldn't let her condition stop her from dancing. Chelsie also wanted to form a community of women in wheelchairs who defied expectations and continued to dance. Thus the Rollettes wheelchair dance team was formed. Chelsie joins us today to talk about how the Rollettes have helped her and how they help others.   Neighborhood Conflict Resolution (0:35:55) You try to remain calm as your new neighbor's dog barks nonstop for the third night in a row, but your patience is wearing thin and you don't know how to address the issue. In one way or another, we all experience some type of conflict with neighbors, roommates, or people in our community. But it's not like we can just keep moving houses or choosing new neighbors, so how do we resolve these conflicts? Conflict coach and certified mediator, Emily Taylor, joins us to share ways in which we can resolve conflict and maintain positive relationships with those that live around us.   Music and Stories (0:50:36) Master storyteller Sam Payne, of BYU Radio's The Apple Seed, talks with Richie about the influence of music on storytelling. He also performs an original song and talks about the new BYU Radio audio drama, Treasure Island 2020.   Handling Back Pain (1:05:25) Back pain. Most of us have it. Most of us have tried about a thousand exercises and things from the internet to try and relieve it, but nothing works. So, what can we do for something so uncomfortable that we experience daily? Dr. Jesse Lewis is a physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. With all his experience and the backpain myths he sees all the time, we thought he'd be the perfect person to help us with this.   Mini Book Club: Starting a Book Club (1:21:55) Rachel Wadham of BYU Radio's Worlds Awaiting gives tips for starting your own book club.   Sensory Deprivation Tanks (1:29:21) Sensory deprivation tanks are gaining popularity by the day as celebrities continue to endorse them and more spas open providing their services. If you've never used one of these tanks, they can seem pretty odd and confusing. However, floatation treatments are proving to be a powerful tool to promote self-wellness. Martine Prowty is an avid floater and the marketing director for the float tank company Zen Float Co. He's with us to tell us everything we need to know about this treatment.
