The Thought Leader Revolution Podcast | 10X Your Impact, Your Income & Your Influence
“When you deliver a message, 90% of what somebody gets out of that message is not what you say.”Effective leadership is built on the foundation of clear communication, resilience, and the ability to navigate change with confidence. Strong leaders understand that communication isn't just about delivering information—it's about creating connections, fostering understanding, and ensuring that messages resonate with clarity and purpose. Poor communication can lead to misunderstandings, disengagement, and significant financial loss within organizations.Amos McCoy was raised in small-town Pennsylvania, mentored by everyone from auctioneers to war heroes, and shockingly successful without ever earning a college degree—because, as it turns out, common sense isn't something you get with a diploma. Amos shares stories about grit, resilience, and why having your mother's employer as your first mentor teaches you more about life than any MBA program ever could. He's navigated corporate chaos, turned organizational meltdowns into masterclasses, and proves that real leadership isn't about knowing everything—it's about learning from everyone.Amos in the founder of McCoy Leadership where he teaches “leadership without the fluff.” Hailing from small-town Pennsylvania, he turned lessons from cleaning houses with his mom and life chats with historical legends into a consulting empire. With zero degrees and a PhD in real-world experience, Amos helps businesses calm the chaos, connect better, and—most importantly—stop losing money because someone couldn't communicate beyond emojis.Expert action steps:1. No pod this week, but written report below, also enjoy one of our favourite pods: Nick Injury crisis - Taranto, Ross, Short - around 40% of salary cap injured (both quality and quantity, young, old and mid career players) Great start (again) Opposition string of unanswered goals (again) McAuliffe flashes Lefau showed power and some forward craft in air and on ground, tough match up, has big hands even for 195cm Dow - needed more Almost Jack 2010 levels of dependency on Shai Baker in very good form Young/Miller step back from last week Eagles young brigade damaging - Yeo, McGovern, Kelly, Duggan Wanted more from Brown and Campbell Nice to see Steely warm up with team as emergency as part of large WA contingency Loved Vlossy's hanger VFL competitive but undermanned away vs good Werribee team (lacked any AFL listed onballers) Ryan v.good as fwd/ruck, Naismith dominating fwiw Kaleb Smith good without being dominant Glad for the bye Andy TT going out felt like one of the last foundational supports being lost, I was surprised that we were still relatively strong favourites at the bounce The game was clearly lost in the midfield -23 in clearances, -7 in centre clearances and -21 in inside 50s. As discussed in the preview, WCE actually has a mature and talented midfield. Injuries obviously a disaster: the entire starting midfield, both key forwards, CHB and in-game injury to short. All 5 of our last B&F winners. Stat nerds like us generally believe that over the long run clubs have the same amount of injury 'luck', however, this year is testing the belief. Judson injury after being sent back on with a obviously injured leg is a terrible look, whatever the truth of the matter. Bye doesn't help that much, maybe Hopper and Grimes a possibility. Lynch's return date remains 10-12 weeks away. On the game -Pity they didn't end the game after the Flossy mark, we were up by 4 goals at the time. -Nice game from Lefau, hard to calibrate the future of a 25 YO, 4th game key position player playing on a team getting smashed in the midfield. But good on him for taking his chance. -Nank was dominate in the rucks but it was for naught . 13 CPs too. Having a career best year in tackles, clearances and CPs -Dow hopefully not fully fit, because he's struggling otherwise. -MJR another solid game, great goal. Disposal, tackle and goal stats all up this year. -Young and Miller struggled, exposed by the midfield struggles. -Tougher day at the office for Brown as well. Only 7 touches. Kaps may be in trouble. Kosi not taking his chance. However, to finish on a high note: Flossy leads the league in total intercepts, also going at 88% (!) for 22 disposals a game. The early AA talk is justified.
Not to beat a dead horse but the pod is back back! Chris gets paid by the Pat Mcafee show! We talk about that, producing a show, how it would feel to wake up from a coma, comedy beef, the word practitioner, showing mean people how to make fireworks, local MJR news, College Football 25 excitement, and Arch Manning. Dr. Sigoloff with a patch you can buy to help his lawsuit against the Department of Defense Dr. Sam Sigoloff, a Major in the U.S. Army, has not been allowed to see patients for well over a year. But, that gives him time to Podcast. His crime was telling people to make their own decision about getting injected with the mRNA shots. Sam was doing his duty, protecting the troops against these fraudulent injections. As part of that effort, he and some other doctors mined military data and uncovered the great harms the mRNA injections appear to be doing to the fighting force, Sam discussed those harms in detail. Senator Ron Johnson wrote a letter to the Department of Defense telling them to preserve the data Sam and his colleagues gathered and forbidding the DoD from retaliating against the doctors. We see what's happening to Same. Guess what happened to the data . . . ? What does God say? Good troops are willing to lay down their lives for us. Sam is also laying down his career. John 15:1313 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.Episode 640: What is happening in Palestine, Ohio? LISTEN TO EPISODE 640Diana Campbell with Health Freedom Pennsylvania talked with us about what is going on next door, in Palestine, Ohio.We decided to reach out to a real person, not the media, or government, to learn what people are being put through in and around Palestine, Ohio. Diana Campbell is with Health Freedom Pennsylvania. She lives near Palestine and evacuated her home. Her mother-in-law was next to the explosion zone where people were evacuated. People Diana knows have taken pictures of dead fish in their streams. Unbelievably, citizens are being told it's safe to return home just days after massive amounts of toxic chemicals were blasted into the air. Diana made a great point about this public “health” advice: citizens are being told to clean up their homes . . . what WHAT? Should there be some guidance on which cleaning chemicals to use? Is the water, which often comes from uncovered reservoirs, actually clean enough to use, let alone drink? Some reports are that these chemicals could have formed acid rainBest video I've found explaining the chemical aspect of the Ohio train disaster Extremely toxic liquid vinyl chloride was leaking so authorities planned a “controlled burn” but that created hydrogen chloride acid that clings to water Basically acid rainBut, in defense of Mayor Peter, there are bigger priorities for the Secretary of Transportation than infrastructure. The national media is finally reporting some of the truths about the latest train derailment in a Country with infrastructure left to rot while Mayor Pete bravely battles letters. What does God say? Thank God there have been no deaths, particularly among the first responders who embody what it is to love their neighbors. IN THIS EPISODE: What really is personal branding and how do you stand out with yours? Why is it SO misunderstood, misused diluted, cult-like, and cliche on LinkedIn? Dat doen we met het motto: just do it. Acquisitie is vooral leren. Meten is weten," vertelt Bjorn.Data science & AI"We zien data groeien. CIO of the YearHoe word je CIO of the Year?

"Hoping to eradicate the “seeds” of his rheumatism, TJ had planned a short visit to the Warm Springs, but was persuaded to extend his stay to three weeks—a decision he ever after regretted. He lived in one of the log cabins of the thermal establishment presided over by merry landlord John Fry, took the 98° waters three times daily in the hexagonal bath building, suffered acutely from boredom, and late in his stay broke out in boils, probably from a staphylococcus infection. This painful complaint, with associated fever and debility, made his return journey a torment. Having arrived at Monticello in a state of extreme exhaustion, he was incorrectly treated with mercurial ointments for what his doctor supposed to be scabies, and was soon at “death’s door.” When medication was stopped he gradually began to recover, but he missed his autumn visit to Poplar Forest, was not able to return to normal activity until December, and always blamed “the unlucky experiment of the springs” and its aftermath for the recurring ill health from which he suffered over the next few years (TJ to MJR, 7, 14, 21 Aug. 1818; TJ to Francis W. They have over a 1000 movies and TV shows to choose from and they change up the selection monthly.” Peter asked for TV show recommendations, here are some of the responses: Banshee is my first suggestion. I would argue it's the greatest action television show ever made. The fight scenes throughout this show get progressively more insane and unbelievable in all the best ways. The only thing I'll say is you just need to get over the initial premise, and if you can do that you will have so much fun with this show, and the final season (not only was chosen to end by the creator instead of being cancelled) brings everything home in truly the best way it all can. Rectify is another option if you're open to a bit of a slow burn that will literally make you cry every episode, and not for the reasons that Parenthood or This is Us do. The dialogue and the uniqueness of the main character makes this show very much worth the time to invest. Man Seeking Woman. Hilarious and unique sketch type show that also is able to tied together a coherent story from season to season and again I feel the way they choose to end the show is just perfect Those are my top 3, at least of current shows. Hope you check em out and can't wait to hear you talk about how awesome Lucas Hood and Kai Proctor are!” Jacob Chandler Mississippi: “Hey Peter, I heard you were looking for a new show to watch and you have a list of criteria for what kind of show you want it to be. I'm not sure if this show meets all the criteria but it's definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. I would highly recommend looking at Amazon Prime's Patriot. It's a dark comedy about a U.S. spy coming to Luxembourg to interfere with the Iranian election. And as generic and uninteresting as that sounds, it is actually one of the better shows in the “sad hitman” genre. It's really quirky with a very complex plot and a whole lot of ridiculousness somehow wrapped up in a decent emotional struggle. Check out at least the first three episodes and if you don't like it by then you probably won't be able to get into it. But I highly recommend it. Love the show” Matt Y: “Long time listener, first time writer as they say. Love the show! Last week you guys discussed super hero one-offs and a couple of other examples of one of style shows like Black Mirror. I wanted to recommend that you check out an episode or two of Room 104 on HBO. The first season from the Duplas brothers was zainey and unexpected. Each half hour episode takes place in the same nondescript motel room. The era, visitors, and metaphysical rules are always different. The first season episodes split pretty evenly into a third of the episodes as junk, another third as a “good sit”, and a third of truly inspired story telling. I'd recommend you check out episodes 2 (Pizza Boy), 5 (The Internet), and 7 (The Missionaries). Season two is three episodes in and they have all been great! Last night Michael Shannon played a Russian diplomat who sets up a date with a woman he met on the Internet, played by Judy Greer. You don't get these strange stories anywhere else! Anyways, have a great weekend.” Fred from Chattanooga,TN says “Of course you may have seen all of these but I thought I'd throw a few out there that I really like and these could keep you busy for a little while Six Feet Under The Shield The Knick - the show was directed by Stephen Soderbergh and is fantastic. So underrated Banshee - another fantastic show that not a lot of people talk about Mad Men, The Leftovers, Deadwood.” Roger writes in: “you might want to check out one of the greatest sci fi shows of all time!!! babylon 5!!! it's free on amazon prime. the first season is a tad a slow build, but it's just incredible. You might also want to check out misfits , it's on hulu right now” Sean from Missouri writes in “Hey Peter, I thought I might suggest the X-Files or Gilmore Girls for shows with a decent amount of seasons that you could watch if you haven't seen those yet. I guess there's also the various Star Trek series which have a lot of seasons if you put them all together. Hope that helps!” Errol L writes in “Hey Peter! Errol from LA. Looking for some binge worthy completed shows? Well strap in! Peter Freeman from Gainesville, VA writes in “You mentioned you were looking for a suggestion for a serialized TV show. Have you tried Person of Interest. This show ran 5 seasons and stars Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson. Jonathan Nolan was the show runner The first season initially was procedural with an over arching storyline but by season two it became a full blown serialized show. I believe it's available on Netflix.“ Amber-T writes in “In terms of shows with lots of seasons that are available and fun to watch... (and you're right, I don't know what you've seen) The Good Wife, The West Wing, Doctor Who, 30 Rock, Parks & Recreation, Mad Men, Supernatural, Friday Night Lights. I also recently watched an indie horror film called Sick For Toys that's super dark and weird, about a brother who kidnaps a guy for his sister for her present every Christmas. Deals with a lot of #metoo stuff without being too on the nose. Flew really under the radar, but worth checking out.” Key Chung writes in: “just heard the latest /film daily pod. You should mos def check out The Expanse! It starts off very good and gets better as it goes along. Last season was best season of sci-fi currently on TV imho.” Mike T writes in “Hey—if you're looking for a show to binge, I would suggest Peep Show. It's a British comedy, 9 seasons (each better than the last), and it's serialized. Very dark, and one of the few comedies that warrants repeat viewings. It's on Hulu and Amazon Prime.” MovieGeekBlog tweeted “Peter, if you are looking for serialised stories #theAmericans or #TheGoodWife are some of the best. Also, have you seen #MurderOne?” David Chen tweeted: “just heard the most recent Slash Daily. If you have Hulu, I think you should check these out. It truly was groundbreaking and probably still holds up.” Classic ER Episodes Michael O. from Nashville TN writes in to ask: “This is more a question about physical media and less about film. But how many more years do you give to retail stores like GameStop? When will that suffer the same fate as Blockbuster?” Hashim (pronounced like wash-em) writes in “Hello gang, Enjoying your podcast which I recently discovered. You asked for film related questions on a recent podcast. I'm wondering what the best movie going experiences you can recommend when it comes to visually enjoying a film. Super large screens really don't matter much to me, I feel like I can always sit closer if I want everything projected large. It's mainly about contrast, color, clarity and deep blacks and overall brightness. Are the premium offerings from standard digital projection really worth it when it comes to the visuals? If so, which theater chains stand out? We currently do not have a true Imax screen in the entire state of Michigan. It's all about MJR, Cinemark and AMC in the Detroit area. Essentially, can you rank based on visuals and not necessarily on sound, food, seats, etc?” All the other stuff you need to know: You can find more about all the stories we mentioned on today's show at slashfilm.com, and linked inside the show notes. /Film Daily is published every weekday, bringing you the most exciting news from the world of movies and television as well as deeper dives into the great features from slashfilm.com.
