What starts as a story about a kid from Utah with a promising football career ends somewhere nobody saw coming — including Chad himself.Growing up in Utah, Chad was the guy with a future. Athletics, ambition, a clear path forward. Then a knee injury in high school changed everything. What started as pain management turned into something much harder to put down. Over the years, Dr. Ward has conducted numerous investigations of ancient Egyptian architecture and symbolism, while also carrying out research into the many mysteries surrounding medieval Templarism. With the help of his partner, Dr. Maria Nilsson, John has managed to track the use of particular symbols through the various dynasties and the geography of ancient Egypt leading all the way into the present, with similar threads even extending into parts of Western Europe. The symbols that John and Maria have come to recognize play a very important and integral role, based from their studies, regarding ancient Egyptian life. It is through these symbols that they are driven with the passion to continue their work, which has enabled them not only to develop a greater understanding of the various cultures they study, but also to utilize and acknowledge the importance and sanctity of the symbols. According to new research, it might have something to do with infrasound: a sound that's below the range of human hearing, potentially emitted by low-rumbling pipes or old boilers more common in older houses.   Psychologist and pseudoscience researcher Rodney Schmaltz explains his new study, and what role infrasound could play in leading people to feel unsettled in “haunted” places. Then, infrasound researcher Milton Garcés breaks down the infrasound that's produced by volcanoes and asteroid impacts, and how it serves as a “keep away” signal in nature. Daly House Museum Part1 Intros and The History - Episode 242Road Trip!!!! Back in October 2025 we were invited to join The Winnipeg Paranormal Group to do a public Investigation at The Daly House in Brandon, Manitoba. It was a fun filled and creepy evening. Did you know that they have a Doll room? Dolls.......pfft, right?? Built in 1882, the Daly House is a small Victorian Mansion nestled in the heart of Brandon.  Originally the home of two of Brandon's prominent families – the Dalys and the Coldwells – it is now the only pre-1900 structure remaining on 18th Street, a municipal heritage site, and a fine example of Italianate architecture. This unique museum with its antique furnishings and displays, such as Mutter Brother's Grocery store, transports you back in time to the 19th century the moment you step through the doors. The house was originally owned by Thomas Mayne Daly, Brandon's first lawyer and City Mayor, Manitoba's first Federal Cabinet Minister, and Canada's first juvenile court judge. In 1898, Daly's law partner, George Robson Coldwell, purchased the house.  The Coldwell family resided in the house until the 1930s. At that time it was turned into a children's shelter known as the Maples. Malinenko describes the joy of horror—especially for kids—as teaching readers how to face monsters, offering catharsis, and providing language to process fear and trauma. She explains how This Appearing House uses a haunted-house structure to explore anxiety and the lasting effects of her cancer diagnosis without centering a “cancer book,” including why the diagnosis is largely unstated for young readers. We spend all of our time with Dan in Hawaii this week! We head to the Big Island today for five stories.  Dan's first story is about something creepy that happened in Hilo in 1902 and 1903 primarily. It revolves around the ghost of a murdered man. Then his second is really a collection of four tales known to many who have taken ghost tours in Hilo. Lynze's tales amp up as she goes. She begins with a milder story about Stowe Bridge in Vermont. Then, a very very unsettling tale about a small piece of cloth that holds some kind power, some kind of spell. Lastly, whistling. In April 1834, a massive fire broke out at the mansion of Delphine LaLaurie on Royal Street in New Orleans French Quarter. LaLaurie was known to have kept several slaves as servants in the home, but when bystanders attempted to enter the house to rescue those trapped inside, they found the doors barred. After forcing the doors open and making their way inside the house, the rescuers were horrified to find the “horribly mutilated” bodies of at least seven of LaLaurie's slaves. Delphine LaLaurie was known to treat her servants very badly, including physically abusing them, but no one in New Orleans had imagined she was a sadistic murderer. After the discovery of the horrors in the LaLaurie mansion, Delphine LaLaurie fled New Orleans, fearing mob violence, and lived the rest of her life as an exile in Paris—but that is not the end of the story. Just a few decades after LaLaurie abandoned her home and fled the country, her story and those of the men, women, and children who suffered in her home worked their way into New Orleans folklore. Today, nearly two hundred years later, the LaLaurie mansion has become known as the most haunted house in New Orleans, and the legend of Delphine LaLaurie has lived on through television, film, and books about Mad Madame LaLaurie.  Buy Tickets to our LIVE SHOW at Radio City Music Hall on June 27th!
