Kristine Munro is a woman on top! In this week's episode, we get to hear from a woman who truly has revolutionized her life. Kristine has had 10 years of experience in corporate, from accountant to CFO positions. She left the corporate life and became a very successful entrepreneur having built a 7-figure, award-winning business, only to eventually discover that that wasn't her true purpose either. The most successful achievement of Kristine's to date is finally finding her life's mission in creating the ILLUME Collective and hosting masterminds, community-led events & high-level personal development events for women. In our conversation, Kristine talks about her journey of finally discovering her passion and making it her legacy. She has a story that is incredibly relatable to most women I know. Most of us have a narrative around what “success” should look like. We think that having a safe 9-5 job, a retirement plan, and a “job title” give us worth. We talk about how challenging this is to reprogram, but how rewarding it is when you do the work and get CLEAR on your intuition and your higher intelligence.Kristine is someone who combines the healing work with the business and the strategy work. She understands how to run a very successful business, but she also knows that the biggest component to our own success is to commit to the internal work. Welcome back to the On the Way UP podcast, and today's episode is really a dream come trust. Fun fact- the morning before I was going to interview her, I was having this overwhelming feeling of total gratitude—the type that makes you want to cry just from the sheer feeling of feeling so FULL in the best way. See the thing is, it's truly just inspiring to me that I get this crazy chance to use this podcast platform to allow others to share their POWERFUL stories and meaning for this lives. My guest today is the one and only KACIA FITZGERALD and I could not be more ecstatic to have her here! Kacia is a business owner of the company, SheGoes, she is a PODCASTER of the very popular EmpowerHer podcast, and she is a multi-passionate business woman who has endless energy and LOVE for the world! Do yourself a favor and sit back (maybe even take some notes!) And SOAK IN all of this conversation with KACIA FITZGERALD! Some of my favorite moments of today's episode are: Take immediate action and DIS-ATTACH from the outcome. The win is the action, not the outcome. Pick the problems you want! Life will never “calm down” enough for you to do “the thing”! YOU are a testimony of what is POSSIBLE for other people. As a leader - make the expectation that everyone has a self-care practice (and figure out how we can go around what that is for each person). You are showing people how to treat you- so if you're answering emails at 1am, then you're sending that signal to your team that that's the expectation. From Candy Striper to Executive Vice President…This WOMAN. Talk about one heck of a LEADER! For anyone who meets Elaine Couture, you can just feel her overwhelming deep love for healthcare and caring for others. In everything she has done through her career, her journey leading up to her leadership roles, and in her personal life, she is the embodiment of true SERVICE. In this episode, I am beyond blessed to get to spend time with Elaine. Elaine has spent over 40 years in Catholic healthcare, with 34 of those years serving time at Providence. Her recent retirement has her leaving behind an incredible legacy, and one that will be forever remembered. Elaine was the very first female to lead Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, but thanks to her, she certainly won't be the last. She describes in this episode how we (especially women) can really SUPPORT each other and by doing so, we will only help expand the diverse workforce by encouraging women to reach new heights. There are so many take-aways I had from this conversation but these are a few discussion points that were stand-outs: Bring your WHOLE self to every job. “Every job was my best job”. As women we don't declare our desires as well as men do (generally). We could do a better job of this! We have to come together as women to PROMOTE each other and support each other. Be excited for someone else! The more we can talk and promote our female colleagues the farther we can get! Keep 3 things in mind: 1-Higher power, 2-family and then 3-work. No one will ever say at the end of your life that they wish you would've worked more. It boils down to RELATIONSHIPS. You can't be a full and balanced person if you soul focus is emails. WELCOME to a RIDICULOUSLY energizing and inspiring episode of On the Way UP! Let me just start by saying, this has been one my very favorite podcast conversations. Rich is such an incredible person and his positive aura is on another level. Rich is one to watch, as I guarantee he will be a household name. He has big goals and dreams, and I am BEYOND fortunate he was willing to contribute to this show and share his time and content with all of you as well! Rich will actually be the KEYNOTE speaker at a very exciting LIVE event in Vegas this June for Meeting Professionals International, and he has some really fun “tricks up his sleeve” for this presentation! Rich not only hosts his own podcast, the EnRICH Your Soul Podcast, but he has been featured on MANY other media outlets, including Fox 4 News Kansas City. During our conversation we get into discussing some deeper topics. As we all know, in our everyday lives we are faced with challenges of all kinds. Especially during the last year, we have been triggered and challenged in more ways than we probably even realize. This is where emotional intelligence comes in. You are probably familiar with the idea of people having an “IQ”, but what about an “EQ”? Emotional intelligence plays a huge role in our everyday lives and helps us make decisions, interact well with others, and overall helps contribute to our wellbeing and success. In this episode we discuss: -How emotional intelligence plays into leadership and business -How humility, gratitude and mindset have everything to do with success -The importance of daily habits and your personal “anchors” that help you stay grounded, resilient and energized. -That it's OK to be imperfect—we all are human and we all struggle! It's how we choose to manage the struggle that counts. Find out more and check out Rich using the links below! "Dress for the job you WANT..." Maybe we actually need to STOP waiting for the big title or fancy office suite. What IF we START now by showing up and beginning to ACT, think and communicate like the person we aspire to be like! When we start to show up AS IF, we start to embody it. Our subconscious starts to get the new message that THIS IS WHO WE ARE, and then others recognize this as well. What if the key to your next level life, is to start showing up AS THOUGH you are already living it? Today we have a quick chat about this idea of showing up AS IF… as if you WERE living the life you desire. Acting AS IF you were that top leader already. The interesting thing about ACTION is that it actually helps us ATTRACT that which we want. The saying, “dress for the job you WANT, not the job you HAVE” is exactly what we are basing this conversation around. Dress for the job you WANT (and the job that you will have someday!). I have witnessed this with others that I admire and look up to. They show up AS IF they were already that next level version of THEM… and then their life continues to unfold in MAGICAL ways! Imagine how leadership could be so different if we showed up and acted AS IF we were already in the leadership role we aspired to be in. Imagine how you would dress, the habits you would have each day, the way you would talk to others, the way you would talk about YOURSELF! Our next level life is waiting... Have we connected yet? Buckle up for another short episode where we set the stage on something that is wildly important, and will become INCREASINGLY important, for our leaders and future leaders. Let's talk about DEVELOPMENT. More specifically, development of self. If this sounds a bit "woo-woo" in concept, let's just say... keep listening and go with us on this. As leaders of companies and business (and our own lives), we are leading OTHER HUMANS. The term "leadership" really means that, in general, you are being followed by people who look to you to help manage them. Managing others is not easy in itself, so where we really need to begin is figuring out how to manage OURSELVES. We now have scientific evidence to demonstrate that when we feel better in our own lives, we are more impactful leaders. People follow PEOPLE... and this is a never-ending journey as leaders. Leadership stretches far beyond metrics and strategies. Leadership is about helping manage human lives and beliefs. And this business journey, this LEADERSHIP journey.... begins AND ends, with YOU. If nothing else, take it from Dee Hock who says here: "If you look to lead, invest at least 40% of your time managing yourself"--Dee Hock; Chief Executive & Founder of VISA Let's change the world, by changing ourselves.
