A Manhattan judge ruled that the businessman greatly exaggerated the value of his wealth to secure favorable terms with banks, which ultimately led him to worldwide fame — and into the White House.“The decision today is a final decision that fraud is proven, The judge made this decision on the basis of Trump's own documents. The evidence is Trump's own documentation,” Andrew P. Napolitano, former New Jersey Superior Court judge and friend of Trump's, told The Post.“These are indisputable facts — the case is based entirely on the documents his lenders and his insurance companies produced.”The 2024 presidential frontrunner will likely appeal the ruling, which could cost him upward of $250 million in penalties that James is requesting — a hefty lift for the less-than-liquid Republican. Trump could potentially have to sell off his assets in order to pay the lofty legal fees, which could hurt his ego more than his pockets, a source familiar with the former president said.
So wrote Arthur Engoron, a New York State judge, in an unexpected ruling late yesterday that threatens the heart of Donald Trump's business empire. Engoron was referring in particular to arguments offered by the former president's attorneys in the case, but his words describe many of the details of the case—such as the valuations of Trump's properties and even the square footage he claimed they contained, both of which the court found were “clearly” fraudulent. Much of the reputation Trump cultivated as a business mogul was built on lies. The surprise is not that Trump and his co-defendants, including his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, committed fraud. What is surprising is that he could finally be punished for it—and quite harshly. The scheme that New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged last year was simple. When Trump wanted to lower his taxes, he'd claim a low valuation for a property. When he wanted to get cheap loans, he would inflate the valuation. This allowed him to inflate his claimed net worth each year, which let him obtain loans on better terms by personally guaranteeing them. Evidence of this pattern had already turned up in reporting, especially by WNYC and ProPublica, and James's case offered much more.
In the opening hour of Wednesday's BBMS, the guys recap another Os win against the Astros. Can they keep leaning on the 'pen this hard? Sticking with the Birds, they're now the darlings of the baseball world after blowing away everyone's expectations for the season. Do you like all the attention or does it seem hollow considering how maligned they were for 'tanking' in years prior? To close the hour out, we look at the Ravens and their AFC North brethren. Did we overvalue our division? Or should we wait to see how things shake out before judging the Bengals, Browns, and Steelers?

Special guest ELI MARKUS, author of Secure The Throne, returns to discuss the idea of the value of being right in our society. For example, we are witnessing the unfortunate black-and-forth between former NFL player ED REED and HBCU Bethune-Cookman's decision to withdraw his coaching position at the university. Regardless of which side is correct, are there any lessons that can be evaluated in how "WHO IS RIGHT?" is being leveraged or misused under the circumstances? In other situations, how often does our community overleverage being right, whether with an employer, a POLICE OFFICER or even in business? How can holding on to being right or our perceptions of what is right stunt our growth individually or as a community? MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask. A lot of modern women feel that they are valuable to the men that they want and that these men sees them the exact same way. Why is this a problem... It's a problem that brings forth a sense of falsehood and entitlement. Why are modern women feeling so deserving and entitled when it comes to men and why don't they think about the competition of other women worldwide? Because they only think about themselves!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/alpha-male-diaries/donations
Don't try this at home... Well actually, we all do this to a certain degree, just don't overdose. Way #1) Never look around. #2) Never look at your mistakes. Way #3) Believe you're the only one who can see. Way #4) Look in the mirror obssesively/excessively. (This one is a bit esoteric). And last but not least Way #5) Make it a mission to destroy any eye that doesn't share the same color as yours. There are obviously more ways to Overvalue Your Perspective, but this is the top 5 I wanted to discuss in this episode. Do you know any other ways? Let me know me by DM.

The Life Balance Mindset Episode #330 with Dr. Tito Norris No one on their deathbed says to themselves, ‘I really wish I would've worked more.' In fact, most people regret working too much, not cultivating relationships, and not letting themselves be happier. And to help you avoid some of these potential regrets, Kirk Behrendt brings in Dr. Tito Norris to share how he achieved his work-life balance mindset. If you want to know how you can have a life and still have a thriving business, listen to Episode 330 of The Best Practices Show! Main Takeaways: Before caring for others, you've got to care for yourself. Care for yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. Being a workaholic is not sustainable for your health or well-being. You can actually become more efficient while working less! Take that vacation — your team needs a break from you! Plan your vacations in advance and set it in stone. Have systems in place. It could save you thousands of future hours! Overvalue your time. Find the balance between work, family, and yourself. Quotes: “When you're lying in your deathbed, no one has ever said, ‘Gosh, I wish I would've worked more.' Right? It's quite the opposite. What people say is, ‘I wish I would've taken time to cultivate that relationship with my children and my spouse,' whoever it might be. When I look at achievements in my life, those are the things I'm most proud of, is the fact that I've got a healthy relationship with my wife and children.” (04:35—05:07) “Before I can take care of anyone else, I've really got to take care of myself. So, what does that mean? That means that I've got to put the right kind of fuel in my body. I've got to eat mindfully, eat nutritious things. And that's different things for different people, but we all know what we should and shouldn't be eating, and should and shouldn't be drinking, for that matter. And you've just got to start there, with fuel for your body.” (07:55—08:23) “Find something that you love and take care of yourself physically, as well as emotionally and mentally, whether that's yoga, or meditation, counseling for mental health. All those factors are part of life balance.” (09:19—09:37) “We just can't be workaholics these days. We've got to find that balance between being efficient at work, creating excellence at work, and finding that family time and taking that time off to take those vacations.” (09:39—09:57) “I started my practice from scratch. I hung my own shingle in 1998. And probably for the first five years, I had two really young children, and I was trying desperately to grow my practice, and I was just burning the candle at both ends, just working my patootie off day in, day out, late nights, early mornings. And I had not taken time for myself. I was starting to get out of shape. And it wasn't doing well for my marriage, and there was a lot more stress there than there should've been. And I can't think of the actual cathartic moment or watershed moment where things changed, but I knew that I had to do something differently.” (10:59—11:50) “I started prioritizing time off and scheduling that time off. And simply visualizing that time off and actually scheduling that time off in advance, like a year in advance, that actually forced me to take it off and actually forced me to close down the practice for those periods of time. And “close the practice,” those are like, three dirty words. But amazing things happen when you close the practice.” (12:05—12:35) “We became so much more efficient when I started working less. When we started working fewer days, we actually skyrocketed. It's so counterintuitive, but it's so true.” (12:59—13:13) “The key is to hire amazing people and to empower them to make great decisions, and to coach them.” (16:32—16:43) “People want to be admired. They want to be respected and they want to be appreciated. They really, really want to be appreciated. So, it's just one little thing that I try to do.” (25:30—25:45)...
A more philosophical debate in today's episode: Last season, Heat fans were accused of overvaluing the likes of Tyler Herro and KZ Okpala and Precious Achiuwa when it came to trade conversations. Is is worth the time to do this thing? When you ask this question, I don’t think it’s a right one to ask. Time is not that valuable as you think. Even time is the most important leverage you have in your life. ☝️ - Time is useless if you don’t start doing. People overvalue time. When they pick up something and they don’t believe it will happen. Then they might probably say, “It’s not worth the time. What if it doesn’t work? What if I fail?” Well, if you don’t try, time is zero value to you! Why?✌️ - People before didn’t succeed on something. It doesn’t mean you couldn’t too. People succeed on something. It doesn’t mean you can succeed too. People haven’t tried something before. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. Why?
