TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ STEPHEN MAHONEY Acid, Techno, Chicago, Electro, Breaks & Progressive has dominated most of Stephen Mahoney's record buying life, Pascal Feos and Gataneo Parisio being early influences. There was also a fusion with Dublin Nightlife in the late 90's, Francois and Eamon Doyle D1 Records had a massive impact as did sets from Surgeon, Dave Clarke, Robert Armani, Carl Craig. Our Local Selection mix is back this week, with a top drawer techno mix from one of Dublin's best, Stephen Mahoney. Stephen's pieced together an excellent driving techno trip. Stephen Mahoney has been an avid record collector and selector for many years, Pascal Feos and Gataneo Parisio being early influences. Throughout the late 2000's he was involved with various Collectives and DJ'd various venues of the cities underground. Stephen also ran Analog Club night which saw Dj sets from Volster & Insolate. Stephen all the while had been producing Eps which saw it's first release on Coincidence Records and then started Shelter Records, which saw releases from Volster, Aubrey, Lars Huismann, Flexure, Ben Gibson and a remix from Lee Holman. In 1997 he began to produce and does this until today with passion. From 2001 on, it was now possible to hear him live with his partner "Versis". In 2003 came the first release under the name "Schematic Tools" on "Pascal Feos' " PV Records. After a last joint performance in 2008 with his partner at the Sms Festival, he continued to successfully go his own way. In the following years he released some more records on labels like Kugelbox Records, for which he was personally responsible, Miditonal, Shed or my label "Pure Rhythm Records". His sound is somewhere between acid and hard eastside techno. But as "Bunched" he also lets softer sounds resound in the Minimal and Electronica genre since 2012. He can look back on great performances in or on famous clubs and festivals like Achtermai, Triebwerk, Tresor, Nature One, Sputnik Springbreak or even Sonne-Mond-Sterne Festival. In the beginning he was based in Bucharest having the opportunity to play in Studio Martin or Silver Afterhours alongside big names in the scene. Hallo liebe Liebenden, in dieser Woche stand Lorenz Kraach für uns an den Decks! Das 1980 geborene Schönebecker Elb-Kind Matthias alias Lorenz Kraach, hatte seine erste musikalische Berührung bereits sehr früh, durch den einen Freund der zur Musikschule ging und den jungen Matthias somit in die Vielfalt der Klangsphären hineinsog. Zur elektronischen Musik kam er übers Radio, ein Medium dass ihn immer begleiten sollte. In den HR3 Clubnight Sendungen faszinierten ihn aufstrebende Größen wie Sven Väth, Pascal FEOS, Ricardo Villalobos. Um die Jahrtausendwende folgten viele Radioauftritte, z.B. bei Sputnik Sendungen wie Sputnik Lounge, Sputnik Turntabledays. 2002 öffnete die Kunstkantine in Magdeburg ihre Pforten, von Tag 1 bis Heute ist Lorenz Resident des Bummslokals, welches die Magdeburger Szene seit 17 Jahren im Bereich: House, Minimal bis hin zu Techno, wie kein zweiter Club prägt. Nebenbei arbeitete er in mehrere Jahre in einem Plattenladen Namens Beat Boutique, dort lernte er viel über Musik im Ganzen und entdeckte die Liebe zum Detail. Simultan begannen auch die Musikproduktionen, woraufhin 2009 erstmals mit den Freunden Just Etienne und DJ Tork das Label Mutter Rec. ins Leben gerufen wurde. 2017, wuchs nach den Erfahrungen aus 2009, erneut der Wunsch ein Label unter Freunden zu gründen. Inzwischen mit größerem Netzwerk und mit langfristigen Plan, entstand die Idee und Plattform Modem:39. Lorenz langjährige Studioerfahrung sind das Ergebnis tiefgehender Leidenschaft zur Musik, dies spürt man sobald man sich nur wenige Minuten mit ihm über Musik austauscht oder wie hier den neuen Mix für den Zug der Liebe checkt!! Четверть сотни... Хочется подвести некий итог проделаной за все это время работы. Начиная с 2008 года проект MAXIMUM радует своих слушателей House, Progressive House, Tech и Deep House материалом. На протяжении этого времени менялась мода, тенденции, различные музыкальные течения, но я продолжал гнуть свою линию в музыке. Посредством радиошоу я показывал красивую сторону электронной танцевальной музыки, а именно progressive house направления.Благодаря рубрике Guest Mix были представлены эксклюзивные гостевые миксы от звезд прогрессив и хаус сцены. Это были артисты со всего мира: Nic Fanciulli, Nils Noa, Scott Bradford из Lexicon Avenue, Pascal Feos, John Graham, Saul B, Daniel Portman, Opencloud, Sasha Karpov, Solomun, Jimmy Van M, Nick Warren, Shawn Farrell и многие другие. Особенно тепло вспоминаются совместные гостевые миксы с Luke Porter, Jerry van Schie и потрясный подарок от Jerome Isma-Ae. На данный момент рубрика Guest Mix закрыта, так как "точка максимума" достигнута. На протяжении всего времени существования Guest Mix я мечтал только об одном, а именно чтобы у меня в рубрике прозвучал гостевой микс от Эрнана Каттанео. Не секрет что именно Эрнан является для меня №1 на мировой электронной сцене, в особенности прогрессив-хаус музыке. Микс от Эрнана был завершающим в Guest Mix, это была классика жанра, фантастический подарок для всех любителей настоящего, классического прогрессива. Так как моя мечта осуществилась, я решил поставить точку в рубрике. На данный момент в радиошоу я представляю только свое видение прогрессив музыки на протяжении часа эфирного времени Fresh Radio. Как я уже когда-то говорил, я уверен, скоро прогрессив по своему звучанию выйдет на совершенно новый уровень, ведь эта музыка не имеет возраста, прогрессив вне моды. Он вновь станет звучанием мирового масштаба. Я никогда не разбрасываюсь словами и знаю что говорю...Данный же юбилейный выпуск радиошоу MAXIMUM с порядковым номером 25, и специальным названием ANNIVERSARY, имеет характерное праздничное звучание. Звучание о котором мечтают настоящие гурманы и ценители хорошо продуманого и качественно представленного материала. Красивое, глубокое и мелодичное в первой половине и прогрессивное, максимальное во второй. Сразу три промо-трека в радиошоу, очень качественные, согласно концепции MAXIMUM. Особенно хочу отметить прекрасное промо от моего хорошего друга из Киева Underhill. Стас выдал действительно шедевр, современный прогрессив саунд. Трек выйдет в апреле 2011, так что все могут сполна насладиться этим промо до выхода релиза. Четверть сотни... Хочется подвести некий итог проделаной за все это время работы. Начиная с 2008 года проект MAXIMUM радует своих слушателей House, Progressive House, Tech и Deep House материалом. На протяжении этого времени менялась мода, тенденции, различные музыкальные течения, но я продолжал гнуть свою линию в музыке. Посредством радиошоу я показывал красивую сторону электронной танцевальной музыки, а именно progressive house направления.Благодаря рубрике Guest Mix были представлены эксклюзивные гостевые миксы от звезд прогрессив и хаус сцены. Это были артисты со всего мира: Nic Fanciulli, Nils Noa, Scott Bradford из Lexicon Avenue, Pascal Feos, John Graham, Saul B, Daniel Portman, Opencloud, Sasha Karpov, Solomun, Jimmy Van M, Nick Warren, Shawn Farrell и многие другие. Особенно тепло вспоминаются совместные гостевые миксы с Luke Porter, Jerry van Schie и потрясный подарок от Jerome Isma-Ae. На данный момент рубрика Guest Mix закрыта, так как "точка максимума" достигнута. На протяжении всего времени существования Guest Mix я мечтал только об одном, а именно чтобы у меня в рубрике прозвучал гостевой микс от Эрнана Каттанео. Не секрет что именно Эрнан является для меня №1 на мировой электронной сцене, в особенности прогрессив-хаус музыке. Микс от Эрнана был завершающим в Guest Mix, это была классика жанра, фантастический подарок для всех любителей настоящего, классического прогрессива. Так как моя мечта осуществилась, я решил поставить точку в рубрике. На данный момент в радиошоу я представляю только свое видение прогрессив музыки на протяжении часа эфирного времени Fresh Radio. Как я уже когда-то говорил, я уверен, скоро прогрессив по своему звучанию выйдет на совершенно новый уровень, ведь эта музыка не имеет возраста, прогрессив вне моды. Он вновь станет звучанием мирового масштаба. Я никогда не разбрасываюсь словами и знаю что говорю...Данный же юбилейный выпуск радиошоу MAXIMUM с порядковым номером 25, и специальным названием ANNIVERSARY, имеет характерное праздничное звучание. Звучание о котором мечтают настоящие гурманы и ценители хорошо продуманого и качественно представленного материала. Красивое, глубокое и мелодичное в первой половине и прогрессивное, максимальное во второй. Сразу три промо-трека в радиошоу, очень качественные, согласно концепции MAXIMUM. Особенно хочу отметить прекрасное промо от моего хорошего друга из Киева Underhill. Стас выдал действительно шедевр, современный прогрессив саунд. Трек выйдет в апреле 2011, так что все могут сполна насладиться этим промо до выхода релиза. On this week’s episode we bring a live session by a super guest, Berlin based producer and label owner YAPACC (Perlon, Pfand, Lucidflow, Brise, Apparel). Born in Frankfurt and now based in Berlin, YAPACC sways the electronic music scene and dancefloors with his live sound since the early 90s. His interest in music aroused by his experience with analogue electronics at a very young age. He wrote and released his first maelstrom recordings EP in 1997 under the techno duo pseudonym «Electrasmus». This was followed by a track at the Frankfurt's art label Poet Club Recording for the compilation «Inside 2» alongside Brian Eno, Shantel and Apex. Henceforth emerged more than 250 releases by over 80 labels such as Neuton, Perlon, Wir/Treibstoff, Brise and Lucidflow, and remixes for Ricardo Villalobos, Italoboyz, Pascal Feos, 2raumwohnung and many more. Since 2003 YAPACC has also been a member of the project «Narcotic Syntax» with James Dean Brown, which certainly has been an important part of the Perlon history. In the same year they released their first Perlon 036 «Ping Pong Voodoo», which was followed by plenty more on compilations and live analogue performances up until the present day. YAPACC has impressed many international clubs and their visitors with his intensive and organic live performances at venues such as Panorama Bar , Fabric London, Watergate, Love Parade Berlin, Time Warp, Sonar Festival,Bar 25/Kater Holzig, Tresor, Harry Klein, Fuse Club, Studio 80, U60311, Airport, Bar Americas, Mix Club, Bootleg, The Bunker (nyc), Harvest Festival (ca), Fusion Festival, Closer Club, Propaganda Club, amongst many more. Recently he founded the project "The Cabin" and the label «Pfand» with partner Hal Wong. Pfand will regulary release vinyls for club and listening platforms. K1971 PODCAST - DJ TUTTLE DJ Tuttle was born in 1972 in Nancy. At an early age, DJ TUTTLE plonged himself into the sounds of 70’s discofunk and 80’s New Wave. At only 14 years of age DJ TUTTLE played his first gig andof 17 he became DJ resident in his first club, the SCALA of NANCY, where he started programming the first sounds of newbeat and hiphouse. At the same time he started composing songs on the computer and with the sampler. In 1990, he created a techno program, which he taught for the first time within a school. At the same time, he travelled back and forth to Frankfurt, Brussels and Lille looking to extend his disc collection and exploring the legendary clubs such as Bocaccio and Dorian Gray. In 1994, he moved to Lille in the north of France, where he met DJ ADOLPHE (USA IMPORT), who was a famous disc jockey during this period. DJ Adolphe helped DJ Tuttle to get bookings for several rave events and clubs in France and Belgium. During this time he also released his first single with STEELWORK records (USA IMPORT). He met ZZINO the label manager of RELOAD records during one of his gigs. He listened to his tracks and got him several contracts with several famous labels such as RELOAD-SUBSOUND-futur FRONTIER which includes names such as Sven Väth, Dave Clark, Pascal Feos and his now close friend DJ CHICH. In 1998, DJ TUTTLE became resident in the L’USINE and more gigs followed in France and other countries doing DJ LIVE SETS in clubs like the REX CLUB FR, LA COVA ES, LE RACHDINGUE ES, GOLT MILK FR, GOLIATH CH…… During this time, he created his best ever discographie and played at numerous big name events. Recently he signed a contract with the label A.PAUL (NAKED LUNCH et PARALLEL 125) also with TORZTEN KANZLER’s label (TK RECORD) working together with his good friend DJ CHICH. It is with pleasure to announce that they have also strated uop a new label called “ MODULHERTZ REC ” with sounds coming from Detroit. (Detroit Chicago).

Alex Bau (DE) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 63 Pt. 2 This set was recorded at Inox club, Toulouse, France 19.04.2014! Bio: Is it related to the fact that there has been a time before Techno for Alex Bau? Thousands of records in his collection, different styles, different music, for sure something that leaves its marks, no doubt about it. Still he is doing Depeche Mode-Nights from time to time, just for fun, and his activities on Techno doesn`t really suffer from that, not at all! With his 5 or even more hours sets at his first resident club in his southeastbavarian homearea, the „Libella“, where for example also DJ Hell started his career back in the 80ies, he achieved the reputation as somebody who is totally aware of what he is doing, totally dedicated to it and also totally loving it. He had his own radioshow for over 2 years on a local radiostation, still so far the only technoshow in this area, but after countless gigs at the local clubs time was right to proof that he is also able to play at other places all around. Especially the productions together with his friend Sven Dedek, mainly released under their moniker „Basic Implant“ or „Electric Envoy“ on labels like the at this time starting „Fine Audio Recordings“ from Chris Liebing have hit the technofloors in a very impressive way, so that he was able to collect also international experiences behind the decks while Sven was playing live. Releases like the „Phase Edit EP“, a highly acclaimed and well sold rework of some Nitzer Ebb EBM Classics, or their work for Dave Angel`s "Rotation", Justin Berkovi`s "Predicaments" or Pascal FEOS` "PV-Records" enabled the guys to reach a much bigger audience. Finally, after numerous releases for different labels beside his own label “Toneman”, Alex released his debut-album “Connected” in late 2004, which immediately draw the attention of many high class DJ`s like Chris Liebing, Pascal FEOS or Good Groove to name just a few. The fact that these artists, all standing for a different kind of style, grabbed the tracks from “Connected” constantly shows that the name of the album couldn`t have been chosen in a better way. With starting his own label „Toneman“ back in 2000 Alex Bau also started to his soloproductions for labels like Chris Liebing`s “CLR” or the Montreal based label "Default Recordings". Montreal can be understood as a kind of scale of Alex` DJ-activities too! Within 3 years he has been booked to Montreal four times, his set from the legendary night at “Aria” from january 2006 was even released as a mix-cd “live at Aria / Montreal” so that Alex came back months later to perform on the releaseparty, once again a night to remember for the Montreal technomovement. At this time Alex was already booked as the headliner, and its reported by numerous mails and guestbook-entries that it was not a mistake to do so. Maybe also as a small, unconscious “thank you”, but mainly due to a very inspirational night he spent in Halifax, where he flew over to Canada for just one night, he declared an EP as the “C.A.N.A.D.A. EP”, which was released on CLR in late 2007 and received overwhelming feedback from all over the globe. People desrcibed the tracks “Summer in Moncton” and “Halifax Funk” as masterpieces of contemporary technomusic which seperates positively from the rest, mainly dominated by minimal clicks and cuts. But it`s not only Montreal, where Alex is being booked again and again, there are also other places, which obviously is a sign that he seems to be a guy who understands what to do when standing in front of people and trying to bring the party to the max. Clubs like Frankfurt`s "U60311", where, among other dates, he was part of the closing night of Chris Liebing`s legendary partyseries “Es ist Freitagaaabend”, Munich`s "Electric Delicate", Würzburg`s "Airport", or the legendary "Tresor" in Berlin are not only the trademarks of german technoclubculture, they can also be found on Alex Bau`s giglist. Japan, Braszil, USA, Canada, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Holland or the closer Austria and Switzerland are some of the tourstops on Alex` calender, and no matter where, all over the places people can hear and feel how interesting, versatile and powerful techno can be if you understand to combine minimal and straight techno as a constant up and down. Always everything under control while the party is going wild, that`s what Alex is always going for. That`s also something what the crowd seemed to have experienced, so that Alex was voted among the 20 best national DJ`s on the poll from Germany`s leading Dancemagazine, Raveline, in 2006. After a short intermezzo as an official artist on the highly acclaimed label „Zenit“, that has been the platform for acts like Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, The Advent, Gaetano Parisio and many more, he now puts the focus back again on an own platform after releasing his album „Credo“ as a sublabel from Zenit, which is now “continued” as his personal artist label with already highly acclaimed releases like “My bleepy helloween” or “Bullet in your heart”, minimal tunes go together with peaktime slammers in a way that appears obvious and logic. This fact and the music on “Credo” attracts a lot of leading colleagues of Alex like Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin or also Charles Siegling aka Technasia, who invited Alex to join the worldfamous Sino-Label by end of 2008. The feedback on Alex` music is growing constantly, he turned out to be one the few real technoproducers since 2008 and his decision to focus on only a few, but very powerful and strong releases on labels like CLR, Sino or Credo speaks for itself. After releasing numerous succesful releases and remixes in 2009, e.g. “Red Chromosome” on CLR or the “Dark Summer Nights” on Credo, which has to be repressed again and again and was even featured on the German Club Charts (DDC), Alex was really touched by the fact that one of his musical idols, Martin L. MEAT....is murder! Frankfurt/Main in the very early nineties. What wannabe-philosophers from today’s capital of Germany years later polemized as the „Raving Revolution“, was just under way. However the Hessians preferred to party in Clubs like the Omen and Dorian Gray or organized small illegal open air parties out in the woods rather than giving advantage to gigantic industrial ruins. An innocent naiv era that still today is inspiring. It’s mind child is Carsten Schuchmann alias DJ Meat. Affected by countless Frankfurt-nights since 1990 and finally persuaded in summer 1991 through the mythical love parade Meat became one of the signboards of the city of capital. Gettings his merits on playing on unlawful parties in closed motorway service areas, ruins of houses and under bridges he emerged from a backyard-DJ to a real professional. Meat is the weight-bearing column under the famous Freebase Records shop. Founded in 1994, the store swung soon itself from a small backyard shop up to the prime address and since then it belongs to the irrefutable constants in this unstable business even far beyond Germany and the electronic scene. A few years later Meat compiled the splendid "ELECTRO FIELDS" CD for the Hamburg Density label and founded the in-house label Below which deals with everything in-between House, experimental electronic and minimal attempts. In these interfaces DJ Meat also finds himself. Equipped with old-school-traits he has both, the forever sharped blades of the past days plus an undelusive instinct for essential novelties. With his mother’s milk he sucked in Straighten Techno and the basics of Chicago and Detroit which goe perfectly together with the minimized housy sounds of nowadays. This load of craftsmanship doesn’t remain without consequences. Meat was one of the style guiding resident DJs at the earliest incarnation of the Frankfurt down town club “Monza” and jointly responsible for the legendary nimbus of this place. From there on he grooved Sven Väth’s colossal future vision “Cocoon”as a resident before he initiated together with selcted guests and freebase staff the monthly “Freebase Night” at holy Robert-Johnson Club. Up till now his steady home base in the Rhein-Main-area. Besides, the passionate socker fan (who else would place a TV in his record shop during the world championship) hops around throughout Europe with growing success. On one of those trips someone might have sold him an extra power-battery that provides him with surplus supernatural energy. Plus all these activities as a DJ, label generator and record shop owner he recently doesn’t only buy special and world’s best records but produces them by himself. Together with Einzelkind he released the smashing first productions “Meat is Murder EP” and a worthy successor called “Words from The Frontline” on the well known label "Get Physical". Next stop in his producer career was the very succeefull "La Pena" label where he released with Einzelkind together. It is via his work at Delirium Frankfurt Record Store and the “Delirium House Division” that had developed from it, that Chris suddenly became one of the sought-after Frankfurt Locals. After completing his studies as audio engineer, Chris Wood got to know the DJ and producer, Pascal FEOS, and started working for his network, GEM/Elektrolux.Since 2003 Chris was working as label manager for levelNONzero, the label wich was founded by Pascal Feos. Since then there is almost no club in the Rhein-Main-Area which did not rock to his combination of Deephouse, Techhouse and minimal Techno. Since 2004 Chris proceeds also as successful producer and remixer. By now, there are a couple of numerous releases and remixes under his hand. Bio.: Sven started producing in 1992 with the commodore amiga and did a lot of tracks for games for this computer. In 1995 Sven met Alex Bau (his toneman partner) with whom he collaborated to release an EP on Chris Liebing’s ‘Touchtone’ label that would be out in 1996 and be the beginning of a set of releases on renowned labels as Touchtone, Fine Audio, Shokoy, Dave Angel’s rotation, Pascal Feos’s PV-Records and Chris Liebing’s Clau, not to mention ascend recordings of course. Sven’s main attitude is probably perfectionism. There is no limit when it comes to improvement of sound or liveappearences. Although he learned to evaluate exactly, if the track maybe gets to complicated for the floor, he never stops trying to make his productions interesting and changing. this is maybe the reason why Sven is meanwhile one of the most respected producers in the german technoscene. Alex Bau (DE) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 40 Pt. 2 This set was recorded at Douala, Ravensburg 10.05.2013! Bio: Is it related to the fact that there has been a time before Techno for Alex Bau? Thousands of records in his collection, different styles, different music, for sure something that leaves its marks, no doubt about it. Still he is doing Depeche Mode-Nights from time to time, just for fun, and his activities on Techno doesn`t really suffer from that, not at all! With his 5 or even more hours sets at his first resident club in his southeastbavarian homearea, the „Libella“, where for example also DJ Hell started his career back in the 80ies, he achieved the reputation as somebody who is totally aware of what he is doing, totally dedicated to it and also totally loving it. He had his own radioshow for over 2 years on a local radiostation, still so far the only technoshow in this area, but after countless gigs at the local clubs time was right to proof that he is also able to play at other places all around. Especially the productions together with his friend Sven Dedek, mainly released under their moniker „Basic Implant“ or „Electric Envoy“ on labels like the at this time starting „Fine Audio Recordings“ from Chris Liebing have hit the technofloors in a very impressive way, so that he was able to collect also international experiences behind the decks while Sven was playing live. Releases like the „Phase Edit EP“, a highly acclaimed and well sold rework of some Nitzer Ebb EBM Classics, or their work for Dave Angel`s "Rotation", Justin Berkovi`s "Predicaments" or Pascal FEOS` "PV-Records" enabled the guys to reach a much bigger audience. Finally, after numerous releases for different labels beside his own label “Toneman”, Alex released his debut-album “Connected” in late 2004, which immediately draw the attention of many high class DJ`s like Chris Liebing, Pascal FEOS or Good Groove to name just a few. The fact that these artists, all standing for a different kind of style, grabbed the tracks from “Connected” constantly shows that the name of the album couldn`t have been chosen in a better way. With starting his own label „Toneman“ back in 2000 Alex Bau also started to his soloproductions for labels like Chris Liebing`s “CLR” or the Montreal based label "Default Recordings". Montreal can be understood as a kind of scale of Alex` DJ-activities too! Within 3 years he has been booked to Montreal four times, his set from the legendary night at “Aria” from january 2006 was even released as a mix-cd “live at Aria / Montreal” so that Alex came back months later to perform on the releaseparty, once again a night to remember for the Montreal technomovement. At this time Alex was already booked as the headliner, and its reported by numerous mails and guestbook-entries that it was not a mistake to do so. Maybe also as a small, unconscious “thank you”, but mainly due to a very inspirational night he spent in Halifax, where he flew over to Canada for just one night, he declared an EP as the “C.A.N.A.D.A. EP”, which was released on CLR in late 2007 and received overwhelming feedback from all over the globe. People desrcibed the tracks “Summer in Moncton” and “Halifax Funk” as masterpieces of contemporary technomusic which seperates positively from the rest, mainly dominated by minimal clicks and cuts. But it`s not only Montreal, where Alex is being booked again and again, there are also other places, which obviously is a sign that he seems to be a guy who understands what to do when standing in front of people and trying to bring the party to the max. Clubs like Frankfurt`s "U60311", where, among other dates, he was part of the closing night of Chris Liebing`s legendary partyseries “Es ist Freitagaaabend”, Munich`s "Electric Delicate", Würzburg`s "Airport", or the legendary "Tresor" in Berlin are not only the trademarks of german technoclubculture, they can also be found on Alex Bau`s giglist. Japan, Braszil, USA, Canada, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Holland or the closer Austria and Switzerland are some of the tourstops on Alex` calender, and no matter where, all over the places people can hear and feel how interesting, versatile and powerful techno can be if you understand to combine minimal and straight techno as a constant up and down. Always everything under control while the party is going wild, that`s what Alex is always going for. That`s also something what the crowd seemed to have experienced, so that Alex was voted among the 20 best national DJ`s on the poll from Germany`s leading Dancemagazine, Raveline, in 2006. After a short intermezzo as an official artist on the highly acclaimed label „Zenit“, that has been the platform for acts like Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, The Advent, Gaetano Parisio and many more, he now puts the focus back again on an own platform after releasing his album „Credo“ as a sublabel from Zenit, which is now “continued” as his personal artist label with already highly acclaimed releases like “My bleepy helloween” or “Bullet in your heart”, minimal tunes go together with peaktime slammers in a way that appears obvious and logic. This fact and the music on “Credo” attracts a lot of leading colleagues of Alex like Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Stephan Bodzin or also Charles Siegling aka Technasia, who invited Alex to join the worldfamous Sino-Label by end of 2008. Known for his high-quality house sets, Daniel Faulwasser, aka Dan Drastic, is a firm fixture in Germany’s club scene. In addition to his deejaying skills, his work as a producer has been impressive, particularly in recent years. Furthermore, he has managed to build an international fan base as a presenter and producer of the monthly Moon Harbour Radio Show. As early as the Nineties, he was active as a deejay and organized club nights in his hometown, Chemnitz. In 2004 he moved to Leipzig. There he was quickly welcomed into the Moon Harbour family and released his first productions on Highgrade, Lorna, Curl Curl and the English label Hairy Claw, which is part of Stevie Kotey’s label group Bear Entertainment. At the end of the summer of 2008, his first EP “Slice Of Life” was released on Moon Harbour. The title track was the start of Dan Drastic’s regular appearance on Moon Harbour. Subsequently he cooperated with Chris Lattner and Matthias Tanzmann and released tracks on several Moon Harbour label compilations, as well as on other labels such as Luna Records and Rrygular, teaming up with his friend Andreas Eckhardt on the latter. In addition artists such as Luna City Express and Simon Flower have asked him to remix their music. In early 2012 his “Noodle Stories EP” was released on Moon Harbour. Soon afterwards he mixed the new label compilation “Moon Harbour Inhouse Vol.4”, released in June 2012. Since autumn 2011 he has been producing and presenting the monthly Moon Harbour Radio Show, alternating with Luna City Express. The show has garnered a broad base of regular listeners worldwide and is broadcast by several Internet radio stations like Pioneer DJ Radio and Samurai FM. Dan Drastic is the guarantee for a great set on the dance floor. This week we are honoured to have another great artist on the show, who influenced the Techno scene since a long time already: Mihai Popoviciu! Mihai Popoviciu, from Sibiu in Romania, is considered one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today. He was born in Romania in 1981 and was drawn to the fast-growing rave scene of the 90's. He started producing music in 2001 being influenced by the techno and house virus and it took many years of experiments untill he came up with his first vinyl release on DJ Hell's imprint Gigolo Records in 2005. Since then he has steadily added chapters to his personal success story with solo projects and those with partners like Markus Homm or Jay Bliss. In June 2007, his EP “First Contact” was released on Pascal Feos' label Level Non Zero Recordings. Mihai joined the Highgrade family together with Markus Homm in late 2007 and from then on the duo have had several suc- cessful releases on the Berlin based imprint like “Deaf Sniper”, “Lagoon” or “Urban Ballroom”. In 2009 the discographic activity of Mihai got very intense with releases on highly respected european labels such as Fear Of Flying, Hudd Traxx, Bang Bang or Diynamic. The club hit Bis Co (produced together with Markus and Jay Bliss) was featured in all major dance charts across Europe and confirmed once again his fine producing skills. When teaming up with Jay Bliss the duo call themselves Hermannstadt Collective, a dj and producing team that has made big waves on the dancefloors all over the world with tracks like “Raw Fruit”, “Thirst Day” or “Safety Match”. Mr. Popoviciu is the kind of producer that likes to innovate and to allways refine his varied sound pallette surprising the audience in the best way. It's not a big surprise that Mihai's reputation as a DJ grew fast in the past years taking him to Europe's most important clubs and venues. His flavourous dj sets have a distinctive peronal touch delivering you a perfectly balanced mixture of groovy beats, warm pads and musical emotiones that will get you addicted. Вот наконец, долгожданное 7 февраля 2013 года, а это значит, что на Альт Радио будет звучать юбилейный выпуск "максимального" радиошоу.Наверное впервые тяжело найти слова, друзья... Ведь как дорог мне этот проект, не передать простыми словами.Вроде бы недавно мы праздновали первый "четвертак" в рамках спецвыпуска ANNIVERSARY, а уже сегодня отмечаем юбилей программы. Хотелось бы напомнить, что проект MAXIMUM стартовал в 2008 году, когда будучи студентом мне в один момент захотелось передавать друзьям и знакомым тепло, свет и счастье посредством музыки. Мало кто помнит, что изначально мой проект носил название RELAXATION. Спустя несколько эпизодов, один из слушателей написал комментарий "Эй чувак, у тебя яркий и прогрессивный саунд - это точка кипения, точка максимума!". На тот момент я действительно играл очень напористое и жесткое минималистическое техно, посыпая все это дело electro-tech звучанием. Думаю как и все молодые ребята придерживался простого правила "чем жестче - тем лучше" :) Скажу правду - слушателей на такое добро было очень много. Но делать имя на музыке, за которой люди идут я не стал. Как же я сейчас счастлив, что сделал тогда правильный выбор.Уже начиная с 5-го выпуска MAXIMUM, мой вкус кардинально поменялся в плане подачи музыкального материала. Начиная с 2005 года я рос и формировался как слушатель на таких лейблах как Renaissance, Global Underground и Ministry Of Sound. Днями просиживая в харьковском магазине DJ BOX, переслушивая самые новые и эксклюзивные пластинки от именитых и настоящих, живых лейблов. В этом магазине всегда стоял приятный запах кофе, а продавцы были добрые и искренние. Я люблю таких людей называть настоящими. Они никогда не далали уклон на покупку - им нравилось что ребята просто приходили и слушали хорошую электронную музыку. Но я все тратил последние деньги на покупку дисков, а также МП3 сборников от любимых артистов. Поэтому не тяжело догадаться, куда привел меня мой искушенный правильной музыкой вкус. Да, это был progressive house... Только вот играть прогрессив "как у всех" я не хотел. Нужно было сделать что-то свое, настоящее, уникальное и не похоже на других. Именно эта вещь носит сегодня название Maximum House, как я его называю. Это не просто progressive или house - это музыка с определенным максимальным настроением, живая и яркая. Ну а дальше все пошло своим чередом - эпизод за эпизодом, выступления, встречи, знакомства, запись трех компиляций на CD, гостевые миксы от ребят, о которых я будучи юным мог только мечтать. Genre : Techno Hailing from Germany, Alex Bau (Mr. Gringo Techno a.k.a the Bavarian Techno Machine) has been a regular contributor to the techno scene as a producer, DJ, and label manager. With more than 10 years of experience producing music, he achieved the reputation of someone who knows what he's doing. He first started spinning long sets as a resident DJ at Libella in Germany, which was also a home to DJ Hell in the 80's. Founding his own record label, Toneman back in 2000, he also released his solo productions under labels such as Chris Liebing's CLR and the Montreal based label, Default Recordings and Credo. After numerous releases through different labels, Alex's debut-album, Connected (2004) drew the immediate attention of many high class DJs like Chris Liebing, Pascal FEOS, and Good Groove to name a few. The concept of the DJ FM radiostation, Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk radioshows start, resident and author radioshow Minimalchik on Kiss FM – everything assisted for the proper musical upbringing of the new electronic listeners generation. From the day DJ Magazine was launched in Ukraine DJ Goshva was served as PR Director. He uses his organizing aptitude for the good of Ukrainian music-lovers – performances of world stars, such as Ambivalent, Tiefschwarz, Shlomi Aber, Anja Schneider, Andrea Bertolini, Format B, Pascal FEOS, Andy Moor, Paul Thomas, D Ramirez, Kanio, Alex Gaudino, Electrixx, Fuzzy Hair, Dubfire, Sebastien Leger, Alex Kenji, Audiojack, David Amo and others were held thanks to his activity. Tanzen 1 ist entstanden in meiner Residet Zeit im Cult Neukirchen. Unter dem Alter Ego "HAMUKI" (Hamu für Hartmut & Ki für Kiss) und Christian Fischer an meiner Seite hosteten wir im Pressenhaus der Tanzfabrik die Freitag Nacht. Unterstütz wurden wir dabei monatlich durch nationale und internationale DJ Größen und Life - Techno Acts. Dazu zählen Sven Väth, Green Velvet, Monika Kruse, Miss Djax, Pascal FEOS, um nur einige zu nennen. Eine ausfühliche Liste unserer "Helden" findet Ihr im Text dieser Playliste. Diese Aufzeichnungen entstanden größtenteils zu Beginn einer Party oder aber nach Ende eines Gast- Auftrittes. Meine Set unterschieden sich zum Teil sehr deutlich von denen Christian's. Er war und bleibt immer mehr "Techno":) Dieser Text wir mit Sicherheit noch einige rgänzungen oder Korrekturen mitmachen müssen. Für's erste sollte dies als grobe Erklärung ausreichen sein:) Na dann.
