Peter Fleming kennt sich im Münchner Nachtleben aus. 2003 eröffnete er zusammen mit den Brüdern David und Peter Süß das Harry Klein auf dem ehemaligen Optimol-Gelände am Ostbahnhof. 2010 zog der Elektroclub an die „Feierbanane“ in der Innenstadt und wurde zu einem der bekanntesten Clubs in der Techno-Szene. Seit 21. Mai wird dort nicht mehr getanzt. Nach 20 Jahren weicht der Laden nun einem Hotelneubau. Wie fühlt sich das an? Das verrät Fleming in der aktuellen Podcast-Folge von „München persönlich“. Als ehemaliger Stammgast und späterer Türsteher des „Ultraschalls“ hat Fleming schon früh Erfahrungen mit der Münchner Clubszene gesammelt. Und er prägt das Nachtleben der Stadt wie kaum ein anderer. Mit der „Garry Klein“-Reihe verwandelte sich das Harry Klein mittwochs zur queeren Partywelt. Beim Marry Klein-Festival leistet Fleming seit 2006 Pioniersarbeit. Einen Monat lang erobern ausschließlich Frauen und weiblich gelesene Personen das DJ-Pult. Der Club war Treffpunkt der LGBTQ-Community, Diversität und Awarness liegen dem 56-Jährigen besonders am Herzen. Jungen und lokalen Künstlerinnen und Künstler will Fleming eine Bühne bieten. Wie er das auch in Zukunft umsetzen will, was die Stadt besser machen kann, wie man vom Türsteher zum Clubbetreiber wird und wieso er aus dem Zwischennutzungsprojekt „Fat Cat“ im alten Gasteig ausgestiegen ist, auch darüber hat Peter Fleming gesprochen.

Wir verabschieden und in dieser Woche von einigen Institutionen der Szene: Das Label und die Verstaltungsplattform Dystopian wird nach 15 Jahren eingestellt und auch die letzten Tage des Münchner Clubs Harry Klein sind gezählt. Zoe und Jessie haben sich Münchens erste elektronische Club Bookerin eingeladen: Alicia Fricke alias Alicea. Im Harry war sie für die musikalischen Kuration mitverantwortlich. Im Gespräch verrät sie, was für die letzten Clubnächte ansteht, welche Aussichten die Zukunft bereit hält und wie es um die politische Anerkennung von Club- und Subkultur im Raum München steht. So war das zumindest bis zu Beginn der Corona-Pandemie auf der Feierbanane, dem Straßenzug um den Maximiliansplatz, wo die Clubdichte hoch ist und die Nacht immer jung. Doch dann wurde es still, nicht nur hinter den geschlossenen Clubtüren, sondern auch auf dem Platz davor, der verlängerten Tanzfläche, wo sich zum Rauchen, Ratschen und Abchecken getroffen wurde. Dort sitzt Valerie jetzt und denkt an die Zeit zurück, als “Pacha, 089 oder Rote Sonne? Bob Beaman? Harry Klein?” die Frage des Abends war. Als die Grenzen zwischen Tag und Nacht, Draußen und Drinnen verschwammen, als Dabeisein alles war, Feiern als Lebensgefühl, als die Zeit bestimmende Dynamik. Valerie vermisst den Vibe, das Fallenlassen können, das Zuhause fühlen, das Wissen, dass alles passt: Das Outfit, die Musik, die Gesellschaft, der Rausch. Nun will er auch noch einen grünen Fußabdruck zu hinterlassen. Seit 2020 ist er nämlich gewählter Stadtrat in der Fraktion der Grünen und arbeitet dort unter anderem mit am großen Ziel der stadtweiten Klimaneutralität 2035. Born and raised in a family of artists she discovered early her touch for creativity and the diversity of sound. Infected by her own creative urge it was not to be the last journey to musical fields. Influenced by Michael Jackson, Prince & Co, ALMA. discovered the electro dance music in the middle of the 90's. Fascinated by this new world she went to an innumerable number of events and gigs and was soon to rock the best raves as bartender, with more to come. Besides her greatest love, the music, also fashion plays an elementary role in Alma's life. As graduated fashion journalist she has sublimated yet several shootings and music videos with her style. After some trendy journeys and style councils ALMA. was attracted back to the dance floor. Clubs like the legendary „Kraftwerk“ or the green room of the cosy „Flokati“ shaped the thrilled Miss Dynamic from a musical perspective. The desire to make her own music was started through her friends that were part of the DJ scene. The enthusiasm grew and so she decided to turn her fascination for music into reality. With discipline and persistence she soon knew how to play the decks. Every Euro was invested in the black gold (vinyl). Meanwhile the blonde vamp owns a good sized and well assorted collection of discs. Encouraged by her technical skills and creative being ALMA. soon was to ascend the dj pulpit. With her own best harmonic style ALMA. fascinated both the organiser and the audience at her first gig at The Garden Club Munich. There she was Resident-DJ until closing 2010. After The Garden she was Resident-DJ at Munich's fast rising Club “Chaca Chaca” (closed since May 2012) and she had her own monthly night called “GOLDREGEN” with national and international underground bookings. Kai Heizer einer der Heads von Techno ist Familiensache stammt aus München und kam zum ersten Mal Ende der 90er Jahre mit der elektronischen Musik in Kontakt, als die Technoszene in Deutschland am aufbrodeln war. Schon im frühen Alter begeistert von musikalischen Klängen jeder Art entwickelte sich seine Liebe für Techno und Tech House, wie sie nicht größer sein könnte. Hingezogen zum Underground Sound steht Qualität, Einzigartigkeit, treibender und innovativer Techno im Vordergrund. Er hat sich schon in einigen Clubs und Festivals in Bayern beweisen dürfen. Ob Harry Klein, Gute Laune, Bullit, Bahnwärter Thiel und Palais in München. Genauso wie im Neun in Ingolstadt. Auch in Augsburgs Club Szene war er in der Soho Stage, Kantine und Mahagoni Bar sowie im Gleis44 in Ulm an den Mischern. Als Support für Djs wie Kerstin Eden, Boris Brejcha, Ann Clue, Bebetta, Sasha Carassi, Thorsten Kanzler, Alfred Heinrichs um nur ein Paar zu nennen konnte er sein Können auch schon unter Beweis stellen. Hinter dem DJ Pult ist er mit seinem Sound überall zu Hause, denn er steht drauf seinem Publikum eine unvergessliche Nacht zu bereiten und die Crowd ans Limit zu bringen. Für die Radiohörer die lieber in ihren eigenen vier Wänden bleiben ist er auch also Redakteur und Moderator der Radiosendung "Spurensuche" auf M 94.5 mit seiner Stimme und Sets vertreten.

Lupino ist südlich von München am Tegernsee geboren und aufgewachsen. Schon früh hat er erkannt, dass er sich nicht nur vor dem Mischpult wohlfühlt, sondern auch dahinter. Angefangen hat alles vor ca. 6 Jahren mit kleineren selbst organisierten Raves und Clubevents im Oberland. Von Zeit zu Zeit entwickelten sich immer mehr Freundschaften und Kontakte in und um München. Seit nun mehr als 3 Jahren ist Michael aka Lupino fester Bestandteil des Techno ist Familiensache Kollektives, dass sich seit 2014 in ganz Bayern etabliert. Die Vereinigung aus mehreren talentierten und aufstrebenden Djs, die es sich zur leidenschaftlichen Aufgabe gemacht haben ihren unkommerziellen Sound mit viel Herzblut und Liebe in der Technoszene zu verbreiten. Man könnte jetzt noch Lupino‘s Musikstil und Art beschreiben, aber ich finde ihr solltet euch am besten selbst eine Meinung darüber bilden und einfach mal reinhören.

Leon Haller made a name for himself at the age of 18 in the small but fine scene in Bielefeld. Then he went to Munich where he organized a queer party series, played several gigs in the infamous Rote Sonne and finally became resident DJ at Harry Klein in 2017. There he was able to refine his style with countless all-nighters. As a DJ he is looking for the perfect fusion of hypnosis and ecstasy. He always lets the individual tracks stand for themselves and still creates a suitable dramaturgy. Genres play a subordinate role for him. The language conveyed through the music is the only important thing.

Wenn Sie einen Künstler danach beurteilen, wie viel Spaß es ihm bereitet aufzutreten und Musik zu spielen, sollte Sebastian Pedro ganz oben auf ihrer Liste stehen. Aufgewachsen im Münchner Norden spielt Musik in Sebastians Leben schon von klein auf eine große Rolle. Geprägt durch den vielseitigen Musikgeschmack seines Vaters wurde anfangs in seiner Jugend hauptsächlich Hip Hop gehört, dessen Einflüsse man auch heute noch teilweise in seiner Musikauswahl findet. Nach und nach wurde es aber immer mehr elektronische Musik,die schlussendlich seine große Liebe wurde. Durch das regelmäßige Ausgehen und Feiern im Nachtleben kam der Punkt, an dem er seinen Musikgeschmack einem größeren Publikum als nur Freunden und Bekannten zeigen wollte. Durch die Hilfe von befreundeten DJs fing er an die Technik auszuprobieren und aufzulegen. Hinter den Decks ist er sowohl digital, als auch analog mit Vinyl, immer tanzend und grinsend unterwegs, wobei sein Sound von treibenden House Klängen, über deeperen Techno bishin zu Melodic Techno reicht, aber dennoch gerne Vocals enthält. Dabei versucht er in seiner Trackauswahl sowohl neue als auch ältere Stücke und auch von unbekannteren Künstlern zu selektieren um seine Sets ausgewogen und einmalig klingen zu lassen. Während seiner Auftritte ist er immer versucht die Stimmung der Leute einzufangen und die Musikauswahl daran anzupassen, um den Leuten den größtmöglichen Spaß als auch ein Loslassen des Alltags und Eintauchen in die Musik zu ermöglichen.

Sein Alter Ego Otto Under ist noch recht jung, aber es ist das Ziel einer langen musikalischen Selbstfindungsreise. In seiner Jugend verbrachte er seine Freizeit in einer Zirkusmanege und entdeckte dort seine Liebe zur Bühne. Schon mit den ersten Clubbesuchen entdeckte er seine Begeisterung zum Nightlife und der drang wieder auf einer Bühne zu stehen war zurück. Jeder Anfang ist jedoch schwer, aber nach mittlerweile über 10 Jahren hat er seinen festen Platz in der Münchener Technokultur gefunden. Als einer der Köpfe von Techno ist Familiensache treibt er sein Unwesen in der ganzen Szene. Seine sets sind kaum in Definitionen zu drängen. Eine Reise durch Industrial, Acid und Trance ist vielleicht noch die beste Umschreibung. Jedoch geht es bei seinen Auftritten nicht um klare Definitionen, sondern darum die grenze zwischen DJ und Publikum aufzulösen. Damit alle auf einer lauten und dunklen Bühne zusammen kommen, um seiner Liebe zum Techno auf einer Ebene zu frönen.

15 Jahre Szene, mehr als 10 Jahre hinter den Reglern und seit über 5 Jahren Gründungsmitglied bei Techno ist Familiensache. Mario und die elektronische Musik sind mehr als ihr halbes Leben fest miteinander verwachsen. Und diese Verbundenheit kann man in jedem seiner Sets hören und fühlen. Sei es wie in seltenen Fällen eine housige Nummer im Sonnenaufgang eines Festivals oder dunkler, industrieller Sound zur Peaktime in muffigen Kellergewölben oder riesigen Industriehallen. Er transportiert immer seinen eigenen Style und damit eine wahnsinnige Energie auf den Floor. Am wohlsten fühlt er sich nach wie vor in den düsteren und synthetisch melodischen Bereichen des Techno.

With several appearances at MMA (Mixed Munich Arts), Harry Klein or most recently Blitz Club, the twenty-something shared the decks with artists like Answer Code Request, Peter Van Hoesen or Voiski and established herself as a promising talent of the city’s new generation. Marcella convinces with her charismatic interpretation of Techno. Floating melodics, striking deepness, subtile-punching drums, melancholic excursions and uplifting atmospheres are the mainstays of her arresting selections. (www.soundcloud.com/almagold) presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr.135 Unsere Nr. 135 kommt heute von einer bezaubernden Münchnerin, die mit ihrem außergewöhnlichen Stil und jeder Menge dreckigen Beats ,fernab des Trends, zu begeistern weiß. Doch nicht nur als DJ weiß die gelernte Modejournalistin und Restaurantbesitzerin zu überzeugen… Die Rede ist von „Alma.“, über deren Profil ich vor knapp zwei Jahren das erste Mal gestolpert bin. Beim ersten Hören fiel mir sofort ihr eingängiger, reduzierter und hypnotischer Stil auf, der heutzutage nur noch von ganz Wenigen gespielt wird. Alma, ein Kind der 80er Generation, aufgewachsen in einer musischen Familie, kam schon sehr früh mit Musik in Kontakt. Was mit Michael Jackson, Prince und Co. eher wild anfing, fand in den 90ern seine Bestimmung: Elektronische Musik. Die Szene und die Musik lies Sie seitdem nicht mehr los. Seitdem folgten verschiedene Residencys in ihrer Heimatstadt München. Zum Beispiel im ehemaligen Garden Club, dem Chaca Chaca und seit 2015 im Harry Klein. Doch auch außerhalb Deutschlands ist Sie ein gern gesehener Gast. So bespielte sie unter anderem das „Rave on Snow“ und das „Thai Break“ um nur einige zu nennen. Das von ihr eingespielte Set ist eine bezaubernde Reise in das Reich der lässigen Afterhour geworden. Alma hat sich zu diesem Anlass etwas ganz Besonderes einfallen lassen. Anders als erwartet startet Sie gemächlich und zurückhaltend, baut aber von Minute zu Minute immer mehr Druck auf, ohne zu übertreiben. Dabei hält Sie gekonnt den Spagat zwischen Tanz und Träumerei. Julian Adam came to Techno for the first time as a teenager in Munich, his hometown. Fascinated by music generally the DJ and producer, appearing as Gods Mind, started producing different styles of electronic music, but also started making hip hop beats and soundtracks, mostly inspired by Johann Johannsson, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and more. Although he mainly started producing deep house and techno he wanted to see more and more styles of Techno and generally electronic music. With his brother as model, he started DJing and played in numerous clubs in Germany and Munich, such as Harry Klein, the former Magdalena Berlin and Kesselhaus in Augsburg. In addition he started releasing his first EP in January 2018 that have been played and supported by various DJ's as ArchiveOne, Christian Gerlach, Kevin De Vries, Escape to Mars, Repressed Mind, Silent-One and many more. Der gebürtige Thüringer lebt und liebt schon seit vielen Jahren in der bayrischen Landeshauptstadt München, wo auch das Zentrum seines kreativen Schaffens liegt. Mit seiner tanz.t.raum music Crew ist er ein fester Bestandteil der elektronischen Musikszene in und um Münchens, wo sie sich in der Vergangenheit mit zahlreichen Veranstaltungen in der Tante Erna und dem Harry Klein bereits einen Namen machen konnten. A character who's known to make the occasional irrational decision from time to time, Dirty Doering aka Velten Doering was a young Berliner who went against the grain of the daily grind. Running his own event series 'Bar 25' in a rundown backyard and diving into all gritty aspects behind each occasion - from manning the bar to DJing for a relentless afterparty crowd - Doering soon established himself in the German scene as an accomplished DJ and producer before launching his flourishing label, KATERMUKKE. Angefangen mit kleineren Remixen und Edits, kam der Durchbruch dann mit dem inoffiziellen Remix für Klangkarussell’s ‚Smoothie‘ und dem nachfolgenden Edit zum Track des Kinohits Django ‚Freedom‘. Mittlerweile wurden ihre Tracks allein auf Soundcloud bereits über vier Millionen Mal gespielt. Durch die wachsende Hörerzahl stieg auch das Interesse an den beiden Jungs, die Bookinganfragen häuften sich zunehmend. Da das Projekt Kool & Kabul immer aufwendiger wurde, musste Nik ab 2014 alleine weitermachen, Alex hatte nicht genug Zeit. Dadurch änderte sich auch die Grundidee hinter diesem Projekt: Waren es anfangs noch deepe Tracks mit warmen Melodien, klingt der Sound nun düster und härter. Nik geht sowohl von den eigenen Produktionen als auch vom Sound bewusst in Richtung House & Techno. Das scheint anzukommen, Kool & Kabul ist weiterhin regelmäßig in München und Umgebung zu hören. Hierfür haben wir uns einmal wieder einen Local Hero angeschleppt, wobei dieser schon ziemlich gut rumgekommen ist. Ladies & Gentlemen: Julian Haffner Julian Haffner aus dem beschaulichen Nürnberg im Herzen von Bayern stammt aus einer Musikerfamilie. Bereits mit fünf Jahren begann er Schlagzeug zu spielen. Seine frühen Musikeinflüsse waren u.a. Rock und Pop, mit seiner ersten Band als Schlagzeuger spielte er Reggae. Mit 16 Jahren fand er zur elektronischen Musik, erste Produktionen und Gigs folgten bald. Seit 2009 arbeitet Julian regelmäßig mit Wolfgang Haffner, einem der führenden Schlagzeuger Europas zusammen, u.a. an dessen mit einem ECHO ausgezeichneten Album "Round Silence". Bis 2010 war Julian Haffner Resident im legendären Nürnberger ZOOM Club. Seitdem ist er auf Beatport & Co mit seiner ersten EP "Kling Klong" vertreten, ab 2011 auch auf dem Sublabel von Semester Musik - Mensa Edition und weiteren Nürnberger Labels. Ladies & Gentlemen: Julian Haffner Julian Haffner aus dem beschaulichen Nürnberg im Herzen von Bayern stammt aus einer Musikerfamilie. Bereits mit fünf Jahren begann er Schlagzeug zu spielen. Seine frühen Musikeinflüsse waren u.a. Rock und Pop, mit seiner ersten Band als Schlagzeuger spielte er Reggae. Mit 16 Jahren fand er zur elektronischen Musik, erste Produktionen und Gigs folgten bald. Seit 2009 arbeitet Julian regelmäßig mit Wolfgang Haffner, einem der führenden Schlagzeuger Europas zusammen, u.a. an dessen mit einem ECHO ausgezeichneten Album "Round Silence". Bis 2010 war Julian Haffner Resident im legendären Nürnberger ZOOM Club. Seitdem ist er auf Beatport & Co mit seiner ersten EP "Kling Klong" vertreten, ab 2011 auch auf dem Sublabel von Semester Musik - Mensa Edition und weiteren Nürnberger Labels. Back once again with a fresh podcast, Thomas Herb [Loseless / Compost Black] in the mix! DJ and Producer Thomas Herb has been a mainstay of Munichs vibrant electronic music scene for quite a while. Starting in 1996 he soon became resident DJ in his hometown at the seminal Friday night event „Flokati“ held in club legends Ultraschall and Harry Klein. Thomas built a strong reputation as a DJ merging soul-injected house, techno and disco into a musical journey. Always far from being one-dimesional, deep, quality tracks will always be given airtime. His spontanous mixing is never constrained by any genre boundaries and the result, the essence of his sets, is a versatile blend of true House Music. His ability to combine advanced mixing skills with an instinctive awareness for the perfect tune at the right time is one of the main reasons why he has been djing on top of the game for more than a decade. Currently, Thomas Herb is djing regularly in various Munich club institutions like Die Registratur or MMA and is busy curating for and contributing to Lossless – the record label heʼs running with longtime partner and friend Mathias Schober. With Mathias Schober heʼs also teaming up for productions, remixes and b2b DJ-setʼs under the SBTH moniker. Holding a steadily growing national and international schedule – Thomas Herb can always be found performing at selected spots outside his hometown: Gewölbe (Cologne), Watergate (Berlin), Lola (Shanghai), Màd (Geneva), Zukunft (Zürich), Strafwerk (Amsterdam) or CirQ (Venezia) - are just a few examples. On this week’s episode we bring a live session by a super guest, Berlin based producer and label owner YAPACC (Perlon, Pfand, Lucidflow, Brise, Apparel). Born in Frankfurt and now based in Berlin, YAPACC sways the electronic music scene and dancefloors with his live sound since the early 90s. His interest in music aroused by his experience with analogue electronics at a very young age. He wrote and released his first maelstrom recordings EP in 1997 under the techno duo pseudonym «Electrasmus». This was followed by a track at the Frankfurt's art label Poet Club Recording for the compilation «Inside 2» alongside Brian Eno, Shantel and Apex. Henceforth emerged more than 250 releases by over 80 labels such as Neuton, Perlon, Wir/Treibstoff, Brise and Lucidflow, and remixes for Ricardo Villalobos, Italoboyz, Pascal Feos, 2raumwohnung and many more. Since 2003 YAPACC has also been a member of the project «Narcotic Syntax» with James Dean Brown, which certainly has been an important part of the Perlon history. In the same year they released their first Perlon 036 «Ping Pong Voodoo», which was followed by plenty more on compilations and live analogue performances up until the present day. YAPACC has impressed many international clubs and their visitors with his intensive and organic live performances at venues such as Panorama Bar , Fabric London, Watergate, Love Parade Berlin, Time Warp, Sonar Festival,Bar 25/Kater Holzig, Tresor, Harry Klein, Fuse Club, Studio 80, U60311, Airport, Bar Americas, Mix Club, Bootleg, The Bunker (nyc), Harvest Festival (ca), Fusion Festival, Closer Club, Propaganda Club, amongst many more. Recently he founded the project "The Cabin" and the label «Pfand» with partner Hal Wong. Pfand will regulary release vinyls for club and listening platforms. YAPACC also has current projects with UFO Hawaii, Argenis Brito, Sierra Sam, Luca Torre, Katya Ryba and Red Pig Flower. Trinity is a Sydney local who performs as a live act as well as DJ's. She runs her own night called 4our and is a regular in the circuit of Berlin and greater Germany playing at venues such as Harry Klein, Studio R and Tresor. Her style resides primarily within a circle made up of Detroit techno, minimal, house and ambient music. This mix is a blend between ambient and down tempo techno, a tasty combination. Trinity is a DJ, Live Act and Producer who divides her time crafting house and techno and DJing between Sydney and Berlin. In her hometown of Sydney, Trinity is renowned for supporting Australian artists through her parties, the long running and now defunct Loosekaboose event and in more recent times 4our, which has carved a niche in Sydney’s underground scene by showcasing the likes of Eli Verviene and Steffi. Joolz, who actually grew up in the Chiemgau area in the deepest depths of Bavaria, made it through many different genres before she came to Munich, where she made her first contacts with the electronic music scene. At first she was mostly found on the dance floors of the clubs but since 2012 she also made it behind the other side of the DJ booth. With her sets moving between happy sounding House beats and dark Techno Joolz played herself into the hearts of many clubbers in and around Munich. Joolz, who belongs to the artist colllective Capsolé from Munich, is also one of the residents at the renown Harry Klein. As such she had the chance to play alongside DJs like Martin Buttrich, Dapayk + Padberg or Lucy.
