In this episode the Outlaw tackles the idea of taking some of the responsibility of raising the future generations back from other local authorities, whether that be the police or teachers, or even judges. As part of our society we have a responsibility to assisting in a future generation who will continue the growth of human existence in a positive way. The trickle effects to our children's behaviors within society are long reaching and can be detrimental to both them, and the society in which they call home.
The Cords of Vanity: A Comedy of Shirking
A cash flow issue at home and a social media interaction with a fool open up the fears and anxieties that often accompany money. Shirking 'the way everyone else does it' to do the work that one is meant to do is noble, but, for Aislynn, it comes with the questioning of one's value. We talk it all out with a dash of social media criticism. Joe delves into his adoption, how it may have shaped him, and his feelings on today's version of adoption and learning he has a half-brother. Two great AIP recipes and we wrap up our 3-episode discussion of regenerative agriculture. The UK's latest shocking attack on asylum seekers is, put simply, an agreement to send them to Rwanda in exchange for money. There is a lot of misinformation being spread by those in favour of this agreement and, as such, the No Walls Podcast wants to set the record straight. We are extremely grateful to be joined by two revered guests, both of whom provide an invaluable insight into the terrifying reality that asylum seekers sent to Rwanda will likely face. Our first guest is Dr Emilie McDonnell, the Advocacy Coordinator at Human Rights Watch. Emilie sets out the grave concerns with Rwanda's historic and recent human rights record, as well as discussing the horrific failings of previous attempts at externalised migration control. Our second guest, referred to throughout as ‘N' for his own safety, is a previous client of the firm and now has refugee status in the UK. He was a national of Rwanda, and as such, provides first-hand insight into the disparity between the way that the Rwandan government portrays itself, and the frightening reality for those who live there.
Have you ever "shirked" work to do something more fun? We're looking at you, Luke.
In this scene from Lego Batman, Alfred tells Bruce Wayne (in the bat costume) that it's time for him to take his role as a father for Dick Grayson who he adopted. He cannot keep avoiding this role. Avoiding our responsibilities. Some of you may know a word that describes people who avoid their responsibilities, that word is shirkers. Have you ever encountered a shirker? Or, have you ever shirked your responsibilities as an employee, a friend, a volunteer, a parent or spouse? Today, as we continue our series on the Life of David, we're going to look at the crisis between David and his second oldest son, Absalom. I'm going to argue that it was because David shirked his God-given responsibilities that this crisis happened. We will look at what were these God-given responsibilities, how he shirked away from them, possible reasons why he shirked and what can we learn about our God-given responsibilities. Enjoy!
Consequences lifted, forgiveness. Failing upwards. Collective support shouldering risk to bolster individual success. Sound judgement and evaluation. Remember the things you did just for the sheer enjoyment of it before you had so many responsibilities? Now maybe you tend to lean towards unhealthy habits that offer only fleeting satisfaction, and a foul taste of shame or guilt. You're not alone! Rediscover those activities that leave you energized! Explore new ways that are both healthy and good for you. Implement boundaries to still honor your responsibilities too. Indonesia has become a crucible for tremendous amounts of experimentation in ecommerce business models. Steven Wongsoredjo, Cofounder and CEO of Super, has combined both the group-buying elements of global category leaders such as China's Pinduoduo, along with several uniquely Indonesian aspects such as agent-based sales. Shirking the "Jabodetabek" focus of most other ecommerce platforms, Super has instead found strong growth in Tiers 2 & 3 and rural markets in the eastern parts of Indonesia. Super estimates this unique social commerce opportunity to be USD200b in size.

Who doesn't know the one letter that stays on the desk for weeks, unopened. The dishes in the sink, the running shoes that still have the price tag on. Shirking. Small things that seem like huge mountains in front of us. But why don't we simply do it? What psychological phenomenon hinders us from getting through with it? We will be challenging our subconscious intentionally by giving us the chance to get things done every single day for the next two weeks by focusing on one task each day that needs to be done without giving us the freedom to choose and reprioritise and think about the pros and cons of not doing it. But by simply doing it.
Counterpoints: The Sports Analytics Podcast from MIT Sloan Management Review
Almost every team’s fans can point to a signature free agent signing that fell flat. Sometimes the reasons for the players’ underperformance are clear -- injuries for example. But often, it’s harder to pinpoint the cause. In those cases we tend to point to lack of effort as the culprit. This is what researchers call “shirking.” According to Richard Paulsen, who presented his paper “New Evidence in the Study of Shirking in Major League Baseball,” at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, “shirking occurs when an employee exerts effort... that is suboptimal in the eyes of the employer.” Richard speaks with us about his research on shirking and his belief that the Phillies are going to regret at least one free-agent signing from this off-season.

Editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire and host of the top conservative podcast in the nation, Ben Shapiro has gained levels of notoriety from his publicized viewpoints on such political hot-button topics as free-speech, abortion, Israel, diversity, and liberalism. He is the author of seven non-fiction books, including NYT and National Best Sellers, and is a nationally-syndicated columnist, having written for major newspapers and websites since age 17. He is known for his college campus activism, often speaking to students about pitfalls of Leftist ideologies on campus and in academia as a whole, and speaking strongly against anti-Israel and BDS movements. In this episode, Ben Shapiro discusses what it means to exist in the political sphere as a Torah-observant Jew. He encourages others in the observant community to join in current political discourse, stressing that avoidance of such dialogue diminishes the ability of Jews to contribute towards modern culture and morality. Shapiro speaks on the growing rift in American Jewry between secular Judaism and Orthodox Judaism and how this divergence is reflected on the political level.
