2025 is quickly coming to a close and what an honor it was to sit down for an intimate conversation with Carl Broemel in his hometown of Nashville for the 300th episode of Roadcase!! Carl is best known for his work in My Morning Jacket, and has released a series of notable solo projects over the past several decades. His upcoming album, Celestun, set for release on January 15, marks a continuation of his work with longtime collaborator Tyler Ramsey, formerly of Band of Horses. In this landmark year, My Morning Jacket released both a new album, “IS,” and celebrated the 20th anniversary of the album “Z” in a year-long celebration of spectacular live performances.Carl talked to me about how he sees the current state of the band, and he discusses with me exactly how he goes about continuing to feel refreshed and energized in this ever-changing musical landscape. Carl shares with me many of his “life hacks,” as we discuss the importance of being in the moment, and the unstoppable force of incremental growth in pushing forward towards one's life goals, whatever they may be.=======================================Episode Chapters:00:00 Episode Intro with Host Josh Rosenberg04:05 Reflecting on a Year of Music and Growth06:59 The Spiritual Connection in Music09:59 The Creative Process Behind 'Is' and 'Z'12:49 The Live Performance Experience15:47 Navigating the Challenges of Touring18:49 The Influence of Family and Background21:54 The Journey of Self-Discovery in Music24:45 The Importance of Incremental Growth27:31 Finding Balance in a Chaotic World30:43 The Joy of Collaboration and Connection33:33 Exploring New Horizons in Music and Life54:25 Resonating with the Crowd58:09 The Power of Community and Incremental Growth59:21 Navigating Stardom and Popularity01:04:17 The Challenges of Modern Music Promotion01:04:30 Maintaining Humility in Success01:10:04 The Emotional Connection to Music01:13:08 The Journey of Finding Your Place in Music01:20:39 Exploring the Dynamics of Band Relationships01:22:38 The Solo Experience and Personal Growth01:25:21 Stripping Down to Basics in Music01:31:04 Reflections on Spirituality and Music01:18:33 The Solo Experience and Personal Growth01:21:16 Stripping Down to Basics in Music01:26:59 Reflections on Spirituality and Music01:38:34 Episode Outro with Host Josh Rosenberg=======================================For Carl Broemel and Tyler Ramsey tour dates, click hereWe discussed the book Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman: Click hereFor more information on Roadcase:https://linktr.ee/roadcasepod and https://www.roadcasepod.comOr contact Roadcase by email: info@roadcasepod.comRoadcase theme music: "Eugene (Instrumental)" by Waltzer

You're very busy at the moment, with Nullhunter, Sacred Damned, and Frankenstein all coming out at the same time, how do you find the time?Nullhunter is a bit different with you teaming up with Gustaffo Vargas, what's the elevator pitch for this one? There are some incredible visuals in Nullhunter, from large-scale action to future tech. As an artist, how detailed are your scripts when you're drawing the book vs working with a collaborator like Gustaffo? We know Nullhunter is inspired by the Labors of Hercules, but beyond Greek myth as a guide, do you have a world bible for this version of the future? In some ways Nullhunter reminds me of Dune with a big sweeping government in space, what were some of its inspirations? In Nullhunter, you have a way of stripping exposition to its bare essentials. What's that process like? The Silver Coin and The Sacred Damned have some gnarly monsters in them. Do you ever find yourself pulling out an old sketchbook and dusting off a design when the right script comes along? We had Pornsak Pichetshote on the show a little while back to tell us about the Horizon Experiment, and we love the concept. How'd you come aboard?Switching gears to Frankenstein: What is it about Universal's Frankenstein that has made this particular incarnation so enduring? With Frankenstein, you take a unique approach from a child's perspective, was this always in your pitch, or did it come up organically? Fanboy question incoming: Can we expect more Silver Coin in our future?Rapid Fire Question Round:Best sandwich? What's one thing you own that you really should throw out?Apples or oranges? What was your first comic?Have you ever asked someone for their autograph? When do you think your art style came into its own? What do you think happens when we die?Favorite action movie?Favorite smell?Least favorite smell?Favorite superhero? Most used app on your phone? If you could have dinner with any three characters you've created before, who would they be and why?You get one song to listen to for the rest of your life: what is it?A genre you want to make more comics in?Describe the rest of your life in 5 words?

As we bid farewell to 2023, Marcus Tzaferis brings you the last episode of "Make Money Count" for the year, brought to you by Cannect Home Financing. In this insightful podcast, Marcus delves into the intricate details of the most recent Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers and their implications for the economic landscape in 2024. Decoding the CPI Numbers The episode kicks off with an exploration of the headline CPI for November, standing at 3.1%, slightly higher than anticipated. Marcus highlights the initial concerns and the speculation about the Bank of Canada's potential response to this figure, given the current economic climate marked by high interest rates and wary consumers. Stripping Down the CPI Marcus takes a closer look at the CPI components, isolating borrowing costs and shelter costs to reveal a more realistic picture of the economy. This nuanced analysis sets the stage for a discussion on the trajectory and expectations for interest rates in 2024. Bond Market and CDOR Analysis Drawing insights from the bond market and the CDOR market, Marcus provides a comprehensive overview of how these markets have digested the CPI information. He shares observations from the Royal Bank of Canada, reassuring that the 3.1% CPI number isn't a cause for major concern, attributing it to shelter costs and rental costs. Interest Rates: Past, Present, and Future The podcast unfolds a narrative around interest rates, highlighting their impact on consumer confidence and spending. Marcus dissects the five-year Government of Canada bond yield, emphasizing its role as a pricing mechanism for fixed-rate products. He forecasts potential rate drops in 2024 and analyzes the implications of a Bank of Canada rate adjustment. Economic Indicators and Recession Concerns As the discussion deepens, Marcus draws attention to indicators signaling a potential recession. Quoting economist David Rosenberg, he suggests that Canada might already be in a recession when stimulus factors are stripped away, emphasizing the critical role of immigration in the economy. Real Estate and Housing Market Predictions The podcast takes an interesting turn as Marcus delves into the real estate market. He sheds light on the correlation between interest rates and housing prices, predicting potential shifts in the market based on interest rate adjustments. The discussion encompasses the government's initiatives, including the recent $500 million allocation for housing in Toronto. Optimism and Wishes for 2024 Closing the episode on an optimistic note, Marcus shares his expectations for 2024, foreseeing lower interest rates. He encourages listeners to consider variable rate mortgages to leverage potential rate drops and advises caution with fixed-rate products. As the episode concludes, Marcus extends warm holiday wishes from all at Cannect, expressing hopes for a prosperous 2024. The podcast offers a comprehensive and insightful exploration of the economic tapestry, leaving listeners equipped with knowledge to navigate the uncertainties and opportunities of the coming year.

In this episode, you get a double dose of Projector wisdom with Alyssa Troob (magician in 5D, holistic coach, and Human Design specialist like myself) and me. We explore how to decondition ourselves and come home to the authentic truth of who we are through the lens of Human Design, for a life of greater clarity, flow, fulfillment and alignment. We dive into so many rich topics, such as aligning with our unique erotic frequency, understanding ourselves and the people we love, the importance of living authentically and how to attune to our individual internal compass through strategy and authority, how to move through people-pleasing patterns, cultivating a sustainable work flow and vitality for each individual, how Human Design has impacted our personal lives, and so much more. Human Design is a brilliantly complex system which synthesizes eastern and western astrology, the Chinese I-Ching, the Kabbalah tree of life, the Hindu chakras, and quantum mechanics. Human Design is a map of each individual's unique energy mechanics, which contains codes that can fast-track our understanding of self and how to live our most fulfilling, successful lives in a way that is uniquely authentic to each individual. I see it as guidelines that grease the gears and help our lives flow more smoothly and effectively through a deep intimacy with and understanding of the unique facet of consciousness each of us is here to embody. Human Design can help us understand our life purpose, our gifts, our challenges, archetypal themes in our lives, our sxuality and relationships, how our physical energy works and how to best harness its power, our unconscious tendencies and sooo much more. It's an excellent tool for helping people sync into greater compatibility, through having a roadmap of how one another works. — If you're interested in diving deeper into your Human Design, I'd love to guide you on that journey. Typically, I only offer Human Design readings as part of my private coaching packages. However, I'm feeling particularly excited about sharing Human Design in a more accessible way right now and I'm excited to announce that for a limited time, I'll be offering human design readings à la carte! In addition, the first five readings claimed will be 15% off. Afterwards, I will continue offering human design readings at normal price for a limited time. today, I brought my dear sister amanda rose on to help me strip down the meaning of some common words we often see in the feminine, esoteric realm of work online. we specifically covered in today's episode what WE mean when we use the words 'new paradigm, rewilding, sovereignty, wombspace/womb consciousness, and yoni.' we also anchored into WHY these pieces matter in this work. whether you're brand new to this world, or you're a seasoned authority & leader in this space - I do believe that taking a moment to PAUSE and reflect on why we use the words we use is so important. if anything, it helps expand our awareness & understanding - AND it helps us root deeper into the intention behind the words we use to describe what we believe is so important. to connect further with amanda: visit her website [and subscribe to her delicious, intimate newsletter] www.wholenessmirroring.com and over on her instagram @amandaarlenerose. you can also listen to past conversations with her on the podcast here: episode 061 & 078. if you search both of our names together on itunes/spotify - you'll find them easily! as always - thank you for being here & for being a part of this community! it really does mean so much to me to have you here.

Myles started producing & touring with his male strip show around 10 years ago & then created The Stripped Down Podcast in 2020 to spill all the beans on how guys actually think and how to see straight through some bullsh*t. After the three have a very raw and honest conversation trying to understand the male and female perspectives on sex and dating, Stephanie and Lacey bring out a game to talk all about their fEeLiNgs….and that game is, We're Not Really Strangers. In this episode we discuss: -The innerworkings of running a male strip show -How to spot a male stripper rookie….(boners on stage) -The difference between a “Fuck Buddy” and a “Friends with Benefits” -We all have FuckBoy and FuckGirl tendencies -Performing during sex -When a woman tells you “No” -And then finally, diving into all of our feels with We're Not Really Strangers. Hi folks! I've just recently come back from a much-needed vacation and have been busy catching up with work here this week. I also was invited to speak, yet again, at Florida State University in one of their Human Sexuality classes (thanks again, Alicia!). I thought this would be a great opportunity to share a little bit about myself (especially if you're brand new here), to provide insight to these students, some of whom who have never spoken to a sex worker or don't even know or realize what sex work entails, and to give a real-life account on our lives. I speak about the current landscape that us sex workers live in including laws that affect us, recent ongoing issues like labour rights, organizing in unions and the OnlyFans scandal and answer all of the student questions that I could within our alotted time slot. I was a great conversation to be had and although I was extremely tired (not my best speaking gig!), I feel incredibly humbled to be given this space to educate and spread the word. Humorous discussion of the difference between male and female strippers and their audiences.
Psst…listen up. You might think that successful folks who appear smugly (nay, gloriously) comfortable in their own skin, have somehow either: By-passed the squinchy not-enoughness that the rest of us stew in; OR Have found the holy grail, the tidy ten-step plan to free themselves from their supposed inadequacy. If you've ever scratched your head and wondered, “Hmm, how does someone actually ‘do the inner work?'”, today's episode is a peek behind the curtain. Enoughness isn't bestowed on us. It's something we choose, sometimes moment by moment. It's how we create ourselves. Shelley Paxton had a stellar corporate career, including a global role at Harley-Davidson. She went onto start the Soulbbatical movement (more later), wrote a best-selling book, and makes massive impact in the world. To boot, she has the coolest urban/industrial loft apartment. Is super successful Shelley free of miserable, less-than moments? Nope. We talk about the real-time becoming of our next-level selves. Shedding. Stripping down. Catching ourselves falling into old beliefs, and how we fish ourselves out. This episode is deliciously conversational, and I think you'll find your shoulders dropping two inches by the end. Hit play.
