Although she always knew she was Aboriginal, it wasn't until the early 2000s that she discovered her Kuku-Djungan ancestry. She attended local schools and achieved a Diploma of Teaching in 1979 from the North Brisbane College of Advanced Education. In 1984, Davina became one of the first five First Nations teachers to join the inaugural Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Unit of the Queensland Education Department (QED). As a writer, Davina's first article, "Why Aboriginal Studies," was published in QED's professional journal, QUEST. In 2000, she contributed her first chapter to the book Aboriginal Women by Degrees: Their Stories of the Journey Towards Academic Achievement, edited by Professor Mary Ann Bin-Sallik. This was the first of several book chapters Davina has written and published. In 2006, her poem "Urban Songlines" won the Victorian Indigenous Art Cultural Heritage Award. Over the years, Davina has completed a Bachelor of Education, a Graduate Certificate in Aboriginal Studies, and a Master of Arts, all while working and raising her children. She left QED in 1990 to become the Federal Aboriginal Education Officer of the Australian Education Union, which required moving to Melbourne. In the late 1990s, she worked at a Melbourne university, completed a Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Education, and earned a PhD. The prestigious literary journal Meanjin published her essay “Being Educated,” which recounts her early experiences of racism and the moment she realized her duty to educate non-Indigenous people about the First Peoples of Australia. Following her realization and receiving the Most Outstanding Research Student award for her PhD, she knew she had to fulfill her promise to her family to document their mutual grandfather's story and their legacy of Aboriginality. She has since published a book with the assistance of Ultimate 48 Hour Books, telling the story of her maternal grandfather who, as a child, survived a massacre in 1881. He was then taken in by an Irish couple, for whom he worked until the man died in 1908. Monday morning live with Natasa Denman featuring one of her insightful authors, Pamm Millage. For decades, Pamm Millage has dedicated herself to exploring and applying the fundamental principles of soul evolution. By integrating the science of the mind with divinely inspired hypnosis, soul psychology, and energy transmutation, she ventures into the unseen realms of human existence—from birth to death and beyond. Pamm upholds the ageless wisdom of past masters, emphasizing that the soul acts as a bridge between our conscious mind and higher dimensions, embodying our innate, magnificent connection to pure consciousness. Recognizing that 90% of human behavior originates from the unconscious mind—irrational and easily malleable—she advocates for consciously employing an ideal spiritual blueprint to effectively command the unconscious mind. Pamm's mission with ‘ASTRAL' is clear: to empower readers to navigate our chaotic world with wisdom and thrive, thereby positively impacting not only their own lives but also the wellbeing of our planet. Three Key Takeaways 1. EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ENLIGHTENMENT: ‘ASTRAL' provides practical tools and insights to help readers harness, align and integrate the power of their superconscious, conscious and unconscious minds. By understanding and activating the ageless wisdom and interplay between these aspects of consciousness, readers can actively shape their lives, overcome challenges, and manifest their true desires. 2. NAVIGATING CHAOS WITH WISDOM AND GRACE: In a world filled with uncertainty and turbulence, ‘ASTRAL' offers a roadmap for navigating life with wisdom, clarity and grace. It emphasises the importance of soul evolution and self-realisation, guiding readers to find inner peace and stability amidst external chaos. 3. THE CORRESPONDING IMPACT ON GLOBAL WELL-BEING: ‘ASTRAL' underscores the interconnectedness of individual transformation and global well-being. By elevating their consciousness and making positive changes in their lives, readers can contribute to the collective harmony and health of our planet, highlighting the profound impact of personal evolution on the broader world. Her mission is to aid those struggling to uncover their purpose, often hindered by ingrained childhood belief systems. Drawing from her own experiences and extensive training, Wendy employs Meta Dynamics™ Coaching, rooted in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and emotional intimacy techniques learned at Australia's premier coaching institution. Through her work, she offers profound insights into the complexities of the human mind. Wendy's journey reflects her resilience and inner strength, particularly in the face of profound loss. Having navigated the heartbreaking loss of a child, she intimately understands the depths of despair and the challenging path to healing. This personal journey has shaped her into the empathetic and insightful coach she is today. In addition to her coaching endeavors, Wendy has achieved success as the no.1 best-selling author on Amazon with her book, ‘Why ME'? How to Regain Hope After the Death of a Child – Your Own Survival Guide.' In this powerful work, Wendy shares her personal story in Part 1 and imparts 12 invaluable lessons in Part 2, exploring the impact on the brain, mind, body, nervous system, and more. It stands as an indispensable resource for anyone seeking solace and healing amidst profound grief. Three takeaways: 1. To be understood – you are not going crazy - You understand what happens to your mind, body, and soul when your child dies. IT is a trauma – A trauma is defined by renowned psychiatrist, author and researcher and educator Dr Bessel van der kolk as ‘the feeling that this will last forever.' It is the effect of emotional shock.- Be kind to yourself, do not blame yourself. 2. Letting go of control and how life should be—we cannot control life or what will happen. When we resist, we suffer, and when we suppress our emotions, we become ill. Wishing and hoping that things were different keeps us stuck and lost in our suffering. We need to understand that we cannot control life. It is like a game of snakes and ladders: You throw the die, and you don't know where you are going to land. 3. Monday morning live with Natasa Denman featuring one of her amazing authors, Claire White Claire is a trained and Registered General and Obstetric Nurse in Timaru, New Zealand. Returning to French Polynesia, she was a Registered Nurse in a cosmetic surgeon's clinic saving for travels. Born in Leeston, New Zealand, she was immersed in the local farming community with hardworking and generously community-minded parents who continue to serve others. Claire was told by many to write about her adventurous life on land, sea, and air as she has a zesty, enthusiastic passion for life. Embracing her time as a teenage exchange student in French Polynesia profoundly influenced her life. Immersed in the vibrant culture, she found herself drawn to the brave, adventurous yachties who fearlessly explored distant shores, inspiring her own sense of adventure. As a young bride in Western Australia's outback Derby, she started her own Girl Guide Company and learned to fly and paint. However, due to her marital status, she was not able to continue as a nurse. She was instrumental in changing this discriminatory judgment of others. Saddened by leaving the Kimberley region for Darwin, she faced the challenges with courage. In Darwin, she thrived in Accident and Emergency Nursing, enjoyed camping in Kakadu, and led Brownies. She pursued diverse interests like music, midwifery, and sailing while overcoming fears, performing on the piano at The Cool Spot and embracing singlehood anew. Claire embodies compassion and resilience, consistently exceeding expectations in her work. She acquired expertise in hyperbaric medicine, providing care for divers with the bends, patients with carbon monoxide poisoning, and those with anaerobic non-healing wounds. Her dedication led her to attend a hyperbaric medicine conference in Baltimore, USA. Through house minding, she financed a year of travels, exploring destinations such as Tahiti, Europe, the USA, and Canada. Using frequent flyer points, Claire returned to Darwin for her fifth International Yacht Race combining a flotilla of the world's majestic Tall Ships with 50-year celebrations for Indonesia's independence from Dutch rule. Between international yacht races, Cairns to Papua New Guinea and Darwin to Indonesia, she met Errol whilst wearing a Can-Can outfit at Darwin Sailing Club. She gained her radio operator's license, and assisted with twice daily position checks for the next three annual Darwin to Ambon Indonesia yacht races until civil unrest caused them to voyage the Kimberley for about 20 years. Denying Parkinson's Disease for years, now after a reverse sea-change for safety, Claire offers creativity through yoga, piano singalongs, and ukulele jams as they passionately raise awareness and funds for research and a cure. 3 Takeaways: 1. Proactivity - How life's experiences and attitudes can shape us into who we are. If it is to be, it is up to me. 2. Hope, help and inspiration for those dealing with Parkinson's from the perspectives of the sufferer, spouse/family member, carer, nurse and first mate. 3. She is merely talking through her own unique experience of living with an eating disorder. Key Takeaways: 1. What are some of the hidden signs from the perspective of someone struggling with an eating disorder – what can it look like? 2.
