Profitable Entity Structures with Alex Langan In this episode of The Profit Answer Man, we sit down with Alexander Langan, an attorney and financial advisor who brings a unique perspective to wealth management and strategic financial planning. As the Chief Investment Officer of Langan Financial Group, Alex is well-versed in helping business owners build sustainable financial strategies. Our conversation covers the importance of aligning financial, tax, and legal strategies, the impact of business entity structures on profitability, and how business owners can adopt a Profit First mindset—even if they don't realize they're already doing it. If you're looking for ways to improve your business's financial health, ensure your advisors are working together effectively, and make smarter financial decisions, this episode is for you. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why business owners need a cohesive financial team consisting of a CPA, attorney, financial planner, and a business strategist. How entity structures impact tax savings and long-term financial growth. The hidden financial pitfalls that could be draining your profitability. Why a Profit First approach can simplify financial management—even if you don't formally follow the system. How to set up multiple bank accounts to manage cash flow more effectively. How financial advisors and business strategists can work together to maximize your bottom line. Key Takeaways: Your Business Needs a Financial Dream Team. Alex emphasizes that business owners should have a CPA, attorney, financial planner, and profit coach who communicate regularly. Without alignment, owners can end up making costly decisions—like structuring their business in a way that benefits their CPA or attorney but hurts their long-term wealth. Entity Structures Can Make or Break Your Finances. Choosing the right business entity isn't just a legal decision; it's a profitability decision. Financial Planning Isn't Just About Investments. Most business owners think of a financial advisor as someone who just manages stocks and retirement funds. But Alex brings a broader perspective—financial planning should start at the business level. Optimizing tax strategies, structuring cash flow, and ensuring liquidity in business operations are just as important as planning for personal wealth. Profit First Is a Mindset, Not Just a System. While Alex wasn't formally using Profit First, he realized he was already following many of its principles. Even if you're not implementing Profit First exactly as written, adopting a cash flow allocation strategy ensures you're setting aside money for taxes, profit, and future growth before spending. Simplicity Wins When Managing Finances. A complicated financial plan is one that doesn't get followed. Whether it's investing, tax strategies, or cash flow management, the simpler the system, the more effective it is. Guest Bio: Alex Langan is the Chief Investment Officer of Langan Financial Group, a leading financial planning and wealth management firm. As a second-generation leader in the family business, Alex specializes in strategic investments, business finance, and wealth-building strategies. Alex holds a Doctor of Law from Widener University and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law. He has been featured in major media outlets, including MarketWatch, Yahoo Finance, and ABC 27. Beyond his work in financial planning, Alex is also a Board Member for multiple nonprofits and is passionate about helping business owners build long-term financial success. Conclusion: If you're a business owner struggling to connect the dots between accounting, legal strategy, financial planning, and business growth, this episode is a must-listen. Aligning your advisors, choosing the right business structure, and adopting a Profit First mindset can transform your financial success. One of, if not my favorite types of stories I enjoy hearing from the psychedelic space are the stories that come from individuals who, at one point, did not resonate with psychedelic medicines at all. You guys have heard me say before & I'll say it again that for me, I never judge anyone who is opposed or not interested in psychedelic medicines because the truth is nothing is for everybody, however, when someone finds their own way into these medicines & has powerful results thereafter, I jump at the opportunity to have them share their story with me, let alone when it's someone who is a dear friend & such a kind & big hearted individual like todays guest. He & I first met about 5 years ago through the Enlifted community & right of the bat after meeting him, I knew he was a dedicated, committed & open hearted individual. Since we met, he found his way into psychedelic medicines & let's just say the effects have been profound, to say the least. As such, in this episode, we dive into his childhood, his adolescence, how pain in his life has led him to breakthroughs time & time again & some words of wisdom from him with regards to how to approach friends, family members & more who we want to share these medicines with, but feel as though they don't currently resonate with them. This episode is jam packed full of beautiful stories, information & more so sit back, relax & be inspired as we journey down the rabbit hole once more!Guest Links: Substack - InstagramThis Podcast was produced by Mazel Tov Media. https://www.highlyoptimized.me

The conversation examines how Jung's model of psychic energy may have influenced Deleuze and Guattari's reconceptualization of desire in Anti-Oedipus, particularly in the shift from a repressed, Oedipal unconscious to a dynamic model of desiring-production. Jung's tensions with Freud, his engagement with myth, and the role of archetypes as energetic processes rather than static typologies are central to the discussion, as is the way his work has been co-opted and misrepresented by figures like Jordan Peterson. The group also unpacks Jung's connections to Spinoza, his late-career interest in synchronicity, and how his Red Book offers a more radical and experiential engagement with the unconscious than his later, more systematized theories suggest. Send your your thoughts, opinions or feedback on any topics discussed on our podcastsIt has been a busy week of football action, and Friday night saw a number of interesting ties in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division as well as a full round of fixtures in the First Division. Meanwhile, in Norwich, the Republic of Ireland Women's Team faced England in a Euro 2025 qualifier. The latest episode of the Extratime.com Voice Notes podcast, hosted by Oisín Langan, provides a round-up of all of Friday night's action and reflections from reporters at some of the games. With three Irish teams in midweek European action, there was a reduced number of matches in the Men's Premier Division, but fewer games certainly did not mean less drama, and there were plenty of moments of magic across the evening. In Dalymount Park, with newly appointed Republic of Ireland Men's Manager Heimir Hallgrímsson as an interested spectator, Sligo Rovers (playing with 10 men for almost an hour after Stephen Mallon was shown a second yellow card) claimed a 2-0 victory over Bohemians courtesy of an Ellis Chapman brace. The second goal for the Bit o' Red was a memorable one and sealed a third win on the bounce for John Russell's side, following recent victories over defending champions Shamrock Rovers and second-place Derry City. Extratime.com's Patrick O'Connor was reporting from Phibsboro, and he spoke to Oisín on the podcast.Meanwhile, Paul Corcoran joined Oisín from Eamon Deacy Park in Galway, where there was joy too for the other team in the West as John Caulfield's Galway United defeated an in-form Waterford side by one goal to nil.The Blues had started well since the mid-season break with two victories and two clean sheets against Dundalk and St. Pat's, but a 24th-minute goal from Patrick Hickey - his first of the season - was the difference between the sides in Galway. Both teams have impressed in their first season back in the top flight, and as it stands, Waterford occupy third spot in the league table with Galway United in fifth (although The Tribesmen do have a game in hand). It proved to be a great night for those in maroon and white as Galway FC women's star Julie-Ann Russell scored Ireland's only goal at Carrow Road - one that will be important for the team's seeding for the playoffs.Elsewhere, the night's only other Premier Division clash saw the league's bottom two sides meet in what was billed as one of the biggest-ever Louth Derbies. Both Dundalk and Drogheda United are battling to avoid relegation, and this match took on huge significance with both teams seeking to secure a valuable three points. Dundalk, having succumbed to two successive defeats, knew that a win would extend the gap between themselves and their neighbours to five points, whilst for Kevin Doherty's side, a win would see them leapfrog the Lilywhites. The game produced six goals, and former Dundalk captain John Flanagan, who was on co-commentary duty for LOI TV, gives us his thoughts on the game in this week's Voice Notes podcast.Oisín also caught up with Extratime.com's Ronan MacNamara, who was in Tolka Park on Thursday night as Shelbourne made a long-awaited return to European action. After 18 years without a game in a European Competition, the Reds hosted St. Joseph's of Gibraltar. Damien Duff's side emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline, with goals from Mark Coyle and Will Jarvis. The Reds got off to a dream start with Coyle's goal coming after just 27 seconds.Having conceded a corner approaching the end of the first half, the sides were level at the break, but a Will Jarvis spot-kick in the 57th minute earned The Reds an important win. Opinions are like assholes, they say. Everybody has one. The subtext of that, is that you shouldn't show them to people. Well my guest and I don't hold back on ours this week. Robert Ottone joins me for a conversation about his debut novel for adults, The Vile Thing We Created, which is almost exactly one year old. I loved it, which is more than either of us can say for the one-year old little boy that it is about. This novel skewers the impulse to procreation – presenting a horror story of parenthood that will make the child-free sweat and the happily en-familied nod sagely (though hopefully your child isn't a cosmic-horror menace. Robert and I wade into the controversy over not having children? We ask, how people summoj the courage to do it in such a frightening world, and we also hold forth on other topics, such as why most colleagues are boring and some ill-advised movie opinions. I blame Robert, I'm usually so shy and retiring. Seriously though, this is a great conversation. More disorganised and discursive than usual. Though for once, that is no bad thing. Enjoy! Ever wonder how a two-time Emmy nominee approaches storytelling? Tom Langan has spent his 20-year career in television keeping one thing consistent: appealing to the human side of storytelling. In this episode, Tom addresses the need for a strategic approach to content creation and putting your audience first. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: The Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe: A Partial Summary and Review, published by jessicata on March 27, 2024 on LessWrong. About 15 years ago, I read Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers. He profiled Chris Langan, an extremely high-IQ person, claiming that he had only mediocre accomplishments despite his high IQ. Chris Langan's theory of everything, the Cognitive Theoretic Model of the Universe, was mentioned. I considered that it might be worth checking out someday. Well, someday has happened, and I looked into CTMU, prompted by Alex Zhu (who also paid me for reviewing the work). The main CTMU paper is "The Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe: A New Kind of Reality Theory". CTMU has a high-IQ mystique about it: if you don't get it, maybe it's because your IQ is too low. The paper itself is dense with insights, especially the first part. It uses quite a lot of nonstandard terminology (partially because the author is outside the normal academic system), having few citations relative to most academic works. The work is incredibly ambitious, attempting to rebase philosophical metaphysics on a new unified foundation. As a short work, it can't fully deliver on this ambition; it can provide a "seed" of a philosophical research program aimed at understanding the world, but few implications are drawn out. In reading the work, there is a repeated sense of "what?", staring and looking at terms, and then "ohhh" as something clicks. These insights may actually be the main value of the work; at the end I still don't quite see how everything fits together in a coherent system, but there were a lot of clicks along the way nonetheless. Many of the ideas are similar to other intellectual ideas such as "anthropics" and "acausal interaction", but with less apparent mathematical precision, such that it's harder to see exactly what is being said, and easier to round off to something imprecise and implausible. There is repeated discussion of "intelligent design", and Langan claims that CTMU proves the existence of God (albeit with a very different conceptualization than traditional religions). From the perspective of someone who witnessed the evolution / intelligent design debate of the 90s-00s, siding with the "intelligent design" branch seems erroneous, although the version presented here differs quite a lot from more standard intelligent design argumentation. On the other hand, the "evolutionists" have gone on to develop complex and underspecified theories of anthropics, multiverses, and simulations, which bring some amount of fundamental or nearly-fundamental mind and agency back into the picture. I didn't finish summarizing and reviewing the full work, but what I have written might be useful to some people. Note that this is a very long post. Abstract Perception is a kind of model of reality. Information about reality includes information about the information processor ("one's self"), which is called reflexivity. The theory identifies mental and physical reality, in common with idealism. CTMU is described as a "supertautological reality-theoretic extension of logic"; logic deals in tautologies, and CTMU somehow deals in meta-tautologies. It is based in part on computational language theory (e.g. the work of Chomsky, and type theory). Central to CTMU is the Self-Configuring Self-Processing Language (SCSPL), a language that can reflect on itself and configure its own execution, perhaps analogous to a self-modifying program. SCSPL encodes a form of "dual-aspect monism" consisting of "infocognition", integrated information and cognition. CTMU states that the universe comes from "unbounded telesis" (UBT), a "primordial realm of infocognitive potential free of informational constraint"; this may be similar to a language in which the physical universe could be "specified", or perhaps...

Chris Langan: IQ around 210, one of the highest, if not the highest, in the world. Full Episode: https://spoti.fi/3s2q0Sa . Author of the Cognitive Theoretic Model of the Universe (CTMU). CTMURadio.com,CTMU.com. The CTMU, which originated in the 1980's and remains the premier theory of mathematical metaphysics, can be succinctly described in several ways; for example, as a metaphysical (ontological, epistemological, and scientific) formulation of logic comprising a self-contained description of reality on its most general and basic level of existence.Chris has a new book coming out shortly. CTMU can elucidate the relationship between man and reality, enabling mankind to better accommodate and peacefully evolve within the reality we inhabit. The CTMU can also be described as a metareligion, or a theological metalanguage in which various bodies of religious belief can be convergently interpreted for purposes of spiritual unification. Thus, the CTMU has the potential to eliminate religious conflict and strengthen the Brotherhood of Man. The CTMU has been uniquely structured to serve as a true "Theory of Everything". The latter phrase ordinarily refers to a "unified field theory" in what is widely seen as the most fundamental of the empirical sciences, physics.Stay In Touch With Chris Langan:New Book Release: TBA (Will Update)Chris Langan's substack newsletter, Chris Langan's Ultimate Reality: www.CTMU.comYoutube Channel: www.CTMURadio.comCTMU Teleologic Living Plan: www.Teleologic.orgPlease support the show. I've worked with many different ad agencies, but this one stood out to me. Meet Brad Langan, a personal trainer turned media-buying expert and marketing agency owner. Instead of looking at paid traffic just by getting people to click a page, he understands the value of bringing that traffic to the page and looking at it as one “continued whole”. It is such a unique thing! If you think about it, the shift is quite simple but essential for cheaper conversions. That's what made Brad and his agency one of the top paid ad agencies in the industry. And so, I can hardly wait for him to share all about it at the upcoming OfferLaunch event. For now, here's a sneak peek at how they've changed the paid ad and sales funnel landscapes.
