You've never heard an episode like this before on Curious Monki b/c this time I'm the one getting interviewed! This is a re-publish of the interview that I did for The Matcha Mornings Podcast hosted by Amanda Kingsmith. Today I teach you how to protect and increase your energy by managing your thoughts & emotions. The thoughts you think most of the time can give you energy to create the life you want or it can drain you keep you tight in a bud. If you keep your energy clear, you’ll live to your fullest potential. "Whether you think you can, or think you can't you're right" - Henry Ford. If what you think is true, spend you energy on the thoughts that will bring you closer to the life that you want. Grab and journal & a pen to follow along as I show you 5 ways to believe that you can do it. Each tool gets progressively deeper into the subconscious mind where our habits and deeply embedded thought patterns are stored. **************************************************** Ready to dive deeper into your personal growth? I'm going to be honest. Ryan Ferguson and Amanda Kingsmith don't look like your typical “rebels” when you first meet them or hear their very kind Canadian voices on their podcast, but, as you will hear in my interview with them, Ryan and Amanda have learned how to defy the conventional life that was set out for them in small-town Canada again and again in their nine years of traveling the world together—despite having no idea where it would take them. They followed the life manual to a tee, graduating from college and getting the type of jobs that college degrees were made for—until they found they couldn't anymore and decided to write their own rules, while also learning how to travel successfully as a couple. This is their story—and I think you're going to love it.
I think there’s enough out there for all of us. Whether it’s students for your yoga class or private clients, there’s enough out there for all of us. That's why I collaborate with as many other business coaches and mentors as I can. And today I’m talking about collaboration over competition with Amanda Kingsmith, host of the Mastering The Business of Yoga Podcast. We share why we both believe this AND share ideas that you can take and implement today! Show notes available with all links mentioned here:www.marketingyogawithconfidence.com/podcast

Amanda Kingsmith is a RYT-200 yoga teacher and yoga business consultant based out of western Canada, although she spends much of her time traveling the world with her partner, Ryan. Amanda came to yoga from a marketing & business background, and has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in marketing from the University of Calgary. Amanda combined her love of business with her love of yoga by starting M.B.Om, a podcast and online business focusing on the business side of yoga. She works with yoga teachers to help them create careers they love that are both sustainable long-term and financially abundant! She is also the co-host of a popular travel podcast and blog called The World Wanderers, and works as an advisor for a growing apprenticeship program called Praxis. When she's not teaching or practicing yoga, you can find Amanda exploring all corners of the world, hiking, reading, writing, or enjoying a cup of tea! In this episode, Amanda discusses how her podcast was borne out of her struggles finding paying jobs as a budding yoga teacher, why she experienced fear around starting her podcast even though she was already an experienced podcaster at the time, how the podcast led to the creation of her business, why she’s okay with knowing her podcast isn’t for everyone, the main things that contribute to her audience growth in a very niche market, the lessons she learned from her first podcast that she carried into the launch of M.B.Om, and more! Is sales a dirty word in yoga? It is certainly not what we signed up to do when we became yoga teachers. In this episode, my guest Amanda Kingsmith makes the case that sales are a necessary part of being a yoga teacher, that they don't have to feel slimy, and that they can actually be a catalyst for personal growth. Our conversation also dives into: -->What Amanda learned working on the sales floor at Lululemon -->The difference between convincing and offering -->The inner work that is the first step to getting better at sales - and making them feel more comfortable. -->How to make sales feel like service. Amanda Kingsmith is a Praxis Advisor, a yoga studio manager, a yoga teacher, a yoga business coach, a podcast host, and a world traveler. After transitioning from the corporate world into teaching yoga, Amanda experienced that the rates for yoga classes were high, yet yoga teachers were consistently not making a sustainable income. She recognized that the business acumen in the yoga world wasn’t there, and decided to bridge that gap with her podcast on the business of yoga, M.B.Om. On this episode, Amanda and T.K. talk about the business of yoga, as well as dive into Amanda’s workflow, how she manages a number of different jobs at once, and is able to balance working with traveling the world. Amanda shares the resources that have helped her most to set up a productive workday, and tips for anyone who wants to dive into remote entrepreneurship. Discussed in this episode: How Amanda got into the yoga industry and began to learn about the business side of yoga How to go from a part-time yoga teacher to a full-time yoga teacher Shifting the mindset of asking for yoga for free and when it’s appropriate to work for free How Amanda organizes her schedule The importance of self-care as an entrepreneur How Amanda balances travel with work When you want to dive into entrepreneurship, make sure that you love what you’re doing because it’s going to be hard Learn more about Ceterus at Ceterus.com.

In this 7th episode of Daniel Carbonel’s Wake Up to Freedom Podcast his special guest will be the digital nomad, Amanda Kingsmith. Amanda is a digital nomad and entrepreneur And this is mostly true because she’s been to 50+ countries in 6 continents across the globe. Like Daniel, Amanda too makes her income online as she funds her travels from her online business. Amanda and her partner, Ryan built their internet careers together way back in 2015, and to think that they started out with almost zero information about podcasting! Who is Amanda Kingsmith and What is the World Wanderers.com? Amanda Kingsmith the owner and operator of TheWorldWanderers.com She and her partner, Ryan, co-founded this website/podcast after they graduated from college. Amanda and Ryan are not only traveling to experience adventure, but they also combine it with philosophy and self-development based on their experiences, then share it with their audience via their podcast. As a result, people get the chance to listen to somewhat spiritual gurus whose journeys inspire an awakening to the souls. But they didn’t stop at podcasting alone and they created an online business that also spawned other related businesses. Amanda and Ryan have been traveling through Western Europe, Southeast Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand since 2015 and they don’t plan to stop any time soon. Now as for the World Wanderer.com, well, it’s Amanda’s website that spawned from just her podcast. Today it’s filled with podcast episodes, blog posts, resources and tips for aspiring podcasters/bloggers like herself. Much like Daniel Carbonel, Amanda too wants to share with you how to create a freedom lifestyle business by starting out with a simple online business. Just so you know, Amanda’s website – TheWorldWanderers.com - helps her fund her trips abroad as it generates a significant amount of income. The Online Business Concept has been around for a long time now, how Am I Supposed to Compete with the Big Guns? While indeed the concept of online business is as old as the internet itself, it doesn’t mean that competition will automatically make your ideas useless. In fact, if you look at the success rate of most online businesses, then you’ll see that the most successful enterprises got to where they are now due to their unmatched creativity. Not by how much money they got when they started out. If you have a unique and awesome idea, then put it out there! Just like Amanda Kingsmith says, it doesn’t matter what website niche market it’s in. If it’s good, then you will find your audience and your audience will find you. She started out with podcasting and now she’s a digital nomad who has traveled the whole world. Think about it! The next digital nomad who will live the freedom lifestyle business could be you. Misconceptions about Online Business According to the self-made digital nomad, Amanda Kingsmith, it’s never too late to do something that you’re passionate about. It’s also okay to leave your 9-5 job and start planning and building your online business. Podcasting is still a fresh gig and you’d have a great chance at success just like other podcasters did. However, you’ll need to do enough research in order to arm yourself with good information to stay competitive. You can build more businesses on the web once you start succeeding because the internet never runs out of opportunities. Here are some basic rules to start your online business: Figure out your skills and how good you are at doing them Think about something creative with what you can do with your skills Decide on that unique idea and do in-depth research Research your audience/customers and competitors Learn the basic internet marketing skills Start a blog or a podcast Get enough subscribers and readers or listeners Track your progress Partner up with third party affiliate programs to start monetizing your podcast/blog

Have you struggled with the business side of yoga? Most yoga teachers do, fearing that selling themselves is ‘icky' or maybe not in line with the principles of yoga. Amanda Kingsmith works with yoga teachers to break through these financial blocks. As a yoga teacher with a business studies background, she is the perfect coach for those struggling with their money mindsets, business terminology, and seeing the worth of their services. Amanda is an enthusiastic world traveller who is keen on avoiding the tough Alberta winters. She has travelled to over 50 countries and 6 continents. From her first yoga teacher training in Bali, she was hooked. When she began teaching she struggled to shape her yoga business to make a living (despite her business background) and wondered if maybe others were struggling too. This led Amanda to create the M.B.OM (Mastering the Business of Yoga) podcast, which has 60 + episodes to its name. She decided she would ask those whose businesses she admired her many questions. Instead of asking them out for coffee, she decided to produce a podcast and share the wisdom she gleaned with others. Amanda also coaches yoga teachers in business matters and writes with a passion. Check out some of her writing on M.B.OM and on her own website. 9:15 Amanda's yoga journey 11:25 Mastering the Business of Yoga (M.B.OM) Podcast 14:40 Struggles Amanda hears most often 14:55 Letting go of what you think you “should” do 15:20 Being intentional with your business and what you want from your YTT, what do you want out of this yoga career, try many things but at the end of the day do what feels right and makes you happy 16:40 Meditate, journal or reflect in a way that works for you. For thousands of years, people have ingested psychedelic drugs in order to alter their consciousness. They report having profound experiences - many of which are life-changing. But is this just simple delusion? Can you really learn important truths while on drugs? I think it's a grave mistake to dismiss the possibility out of hand. To help me answer, I'm joined by the World Wanderers: Ryan Ferguson and Amanda Kingsmith, who have traveled to more than 45 countries together. While in Peru, they both had an ayahuasca experience that they consider to be life-changing in a positive way.
