In today's conversation, we are joined by Meghan Pherrill Gordon. In this conversation with Meghan, we cover a lot of ground. She's a podcast host, she has a yoga business, and she teaches us about Human Design. But the part of this interview that I really enjoyed, and I think you're going to love, is the deep dive into her personal experience with being diagnosed with extreme anxiety and OCD at a very young age. Her experiences with that and how she overcame it are really inspirational.    Meghan explains how she built her own practice and then began sharing what she learned through yoga and meditation with others, step by step and piece by piece. It is a great conversation about trying new things, finding balance, and finding the things that light you up and work for you.      In this episode you will hear:  Overcoming anxiety and OCD.  Deciding to make the changes that you want in your life and then working on those changes.  The power of yoga and meditation to change your life.  Revising good things to find what works for you.   How Human Design can help you to understand the nature of your being. Finding the thing that lights you up now.      Meghan Pherrill Gordon is the creator of Balance by Meghan, an online community designed to empower and inspire you on your wellness journey so you can be the best version of yourself. Meghan is the host of the Balance Your Life Podcast, a 500-hour yoga teacher, a meditation teacher and trainer, a wellness influencer, and a Human Design reader. She lives in Nova Scotia with her husband, loves to travel (when there isn't a pandemic), practice yoga, get outside in nature, and geeks out over anything wellness.     Connect with Meghan Pherrill Gordon: Website: https://www.balancebymeghan.com/  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/meghan-pherrill-gordon-84839397/  Balance Your Life Podcast: https://www.balancebymeghan.com/podcast  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/balancebymeghan/  TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@balancebymeghan  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/BalancebyMeghan  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/balancebymeghan  Twitter: https://twitter.com/balancebymeghan      Connect with R Blank and Stephanie Warner:  For more Healthier Tech Podcast episodes, and to download our Healthier Tech Quick Start Guide, visit https://HealthierTech.co and follow https://instagram.com/healthiertech Additional Links: Shield Your Body website: https://ShieldYourBody.com Shield Your Body Youtube Channel: https://youtube.com/shieldyourbody Host R Blank on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rblank9/ Shield Your Body on Instagram: https://instagram.com/shieldyourbody

This week on the podcast I am joined by Kaya Mindlin. Kaya has been teaching yoga for 18 years, and on this episode she shares how she created a small, but mighty and successful, yoga business. There is so much pressure these days to build your list, do ads on social media, teach anything and everything that you are given the opportunity to do, serve everyone, give away freebies and hope that some day someone will engage with you. And this has it's place... but it's not a fit for every yoga teacher. In Kaya's business, she dug a well with a small but incredibly committed number of yoga teachers, and she's had a successful private practice of yoga therapy clients and students, yoga teachers who train with her, and a yoga studio in the Bay Area. She was the main breadwinner in her family for a chunk of those years, and on this episode she's sharing how she did and how you can too! Kaya also shares why and how she transferred her business online, what that process has taught her, and some of the biggest business lessons she's learned through her career. Enjoy! On this episode, Brit and I talk about Marketing Personalities, including why this important, how we can use our individual marketing personality to our benefit in our businesses, and how to start saying "no" to the things we think we should be doing in our businesses but aren't serving us. Brit also goes through my MBTI personality type - ENJF - and gives some examples of the type of marketing that ENFJ's (like me!) should be doing in their businesses. This week on the podcast I am joined by Mado Hesselink. Mado is a yoga teacher, a mother, a yoga business coach, and the host and founder of the Yoga Teacher Resource podcast. I had the pleasure of being a guest on Mado's podcast a couple of months ago, and she is a delight to talk to. Her and I very much have similar beliefs when it comes to the yoga industry, and I'm excited to share this episode where we're talking about how to change the yoga industry from the inside out. What does that mean? It means that as yoga teachers, we think about how we have to teach in yoga studios and there aren't other options for us, but on this episode, Mado shares how we can become more empowered as yoga teachers to be entrepreneurs. We can be selective about where we teach, how we spend our time and start making more money by offering our teachings outside of the studio space and in other areas of the community. We also talk about business lessons for yoga teachers, what Mado has learned through her career, and more! Enjoy! --------- Want to join me on a tropical adventure in Costa Rica this fall?
