Dive into the latest episode of Submarine and a Roach with Tmt and Koj as they bring their signature humor and insights to the table! The show starts with Tmt's smooth late-night radio intro, echoing his retro rap intro from last week. Koj gives a nod to David Guetta, joking about wanting an A.I. version of the DJ to handle his eulogy. Tmt catches Koj off guard with voice notes from a group chat, featuring Koj's hilariously off-key singing about having a great day and taunting his friends. Tmt celebrates 5 months of sobriety while Koj praises him for staying sharp and sober on the podcast. The guys recount their weekends and share laughs over Tmt's new tattoo of a biplane, leading to a funny conversation with his dad that leaves Koj in stitches. They discuss Nigeria's disappointing Olympic performance and wrap up with a very short review of Asake's latest album. The episode closes with a discussion on a topic where they admit they're completely out of their depth. Tune in for a blend of comedy, personal anecdotes, and entertaining commentary!

It's November 11th. This day in 1926, members of the Shelton gang in southern Illinois commandeered a biplane to drop homemade bombs on the hideout of their main bootlegging rivals, the Birgers. Jody, NIki, and Kellie discuss the scheme, how the Shelton-Birger feud reached this level, and where this story fits in to the history of aerial bombings on American soil. Hackaday editors Elliot Williams and Mike Szczys get charged up on the best hacks the week had to offer. The 3D printer design gods were good to us, delivering an upside-down FDM printer and a hack that can automatically swap out heated beds for continuous printing. We look at a drone design that builds vertical wings into the frame of a quadcopter -- now when it tips on its side it's a fixed-wing aircraft! We chew the artificially-intelligent fat about GitHub CoPilot's ability (or inability?) to generate working code, and talk about the firm future awaiting solid state batteries. Welcome to The Labyrinth, a podcast produced by Virtual Executive Director. This week on the podcast I got to talk with Dewey Davenport. Dewey is an entrepreneur and a barnstorming pilot. Dewey caught my attention recently when he posted a series of YouTube videos about his experience having COVID-19. After a little light cyberstalking I noticed he had undergone an even bigger health transformation, so I wanted to talk with him about it. Plus, how many times in your life to get to interview a barnstormer? Dewey Davenport is the owner and operator of Goodfolk & O'Tymes Biplane rides. He grew up in the Dayton, Ohio area, birthplace of aviation, and developed a passion for flying as a young kid. His love for model aircraft gave way to real planes when he was in high school, and he has since logged more than 10,000 hours flying a variety of aircraft all over the world. Like fond memories of long-ago lovers, beloved airplanes resurface occasionally from quiet corners of a pilot’s mind. We hear the last three digits of some familiar N-number and are flooded with reminiscences. But rarely do the abbreviated call signs used in routine communications fully match the numbers of actual steeds we once flew — especially when 1500 miles and thirty years have passed under the wings. Along the way, you'll learn how Greg's airplane, the Flying Carpet, earned her name.Podcast photo: Greg with college friends at Marsh Harbour International Airport, Great Abaco Island, Bahamas, 1976.Music by Hannis Brown.

When members of Paul Everitt's family purchased the 1970s home of best-selling author Richard Bach (Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Illusions), they got more than just a house — the eccentric writer and pilot left behind signed photos, his writing desk, model airplane kits, original and purchased artwork, books, letters, and other mementos of his flying and writing life. Now Paul hopes to find new homes for the items that have remained in his family for more than four decades. Amanda Harrison - Surviving cancer to fly solo across the world in a WW2 biplane Amanda Harrison is a graduate of one of my original 'Screw Work Le'ts Play' Programmes and she's had a dream for 15 years to recreate Amy Johnson's pioneering solo flight from the U.K to Darwin in 1930. When Amanda was treated for Cancer 18 months ago, it gave her the detemination to make this dream actually come true. So now she's on her way on a 9,000 mile journey to Australia, in a 1942 Tiger Moth biplane. When I saw her she was stranded in Vienna for a day after a bird strike damaged her propeller. I jumped at the chance to interview her in the aircraft hanger next to her plane. You can also see the video of Amanda, get a close up look at the Tiger Moth, track Amanda's journey and lend your support. No!" by Mary Oliver is found in Owls and Other Fantasies: Poems and Essays, Beacon Press, Boston, 2003, p. 27. How necessary it is to have opinions! I think the spotted trout lilies are satisfied, standing a few inches above the earth. I think serenity is not something you just find in the world, like a plum tree, holding up its white petals. The violets, along the river, are opening their blue faces, like small dark lanterns. The green mosses, being so many, are as good as brawny. How important it is to walk along, not in haste but slowly, looking at everything and calling out Yes! No! The swan, for all his pomp, his robes of grass and petals, wants only to be allowed to live on the nameless pond. The catbrier is without fault. The water thrushes, down among the sloppy rocks, are going crazy with happiness. Imagination is better than a sharp instrument. To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.

If you think a "barnstormer" is what a stormtrooper becomes after leaving the Empire to work a moisture farm on Tatooine, you need to listen to this episode. This week's game is BARNSTORMING. Activision goes down on the farm and up in the air all at once in this 1982 plane-flying adventure. Test your reflexes and your nerves as you maneuver your bi-plane over windmills and through barns, all the while asking yourself: "Why am I doing this?" And then you smash into the south end of a north-flying goose. It's kind of like life, really. Want to know more about the Atari Party? Go here. The Atari Bytes Patreon page. Get AB stuff at Zazzle.
