The stories from that book come to life in his own words during this conversation, with a focus on the book's primary theme — the relationship among DiGregorio, teammate Marvin Barnes '74, and Coach Dave Gavitt '89Hon. As the surviving member of that group, DiGregorio pays heartfelt tribute to Barnes and Gavitt and shares perspectives on teammates and how they become lifelong friends.To facilitate book sales and distribution, DiGregorio has entered a marketing partnership with the college and Barnes and Noble Book Sellers. A Campus Ministry leader and ROTC cadet during his student days, Doug currently serves as a police officer in Sherborn, Massachusetts, and as an officer in the Rhode Island National Guard. He is still pinching himself. Chris is the creator of 'The Lonely Beast' book which was described by the New York Times as "a beautifully illustrated and humorous picture book". He has also written and illustrated 'The Brave Beast' (winner of the Irish Children's Book of the Year Award), 'The Great Explorer' and 'TIN'. Recently, he illustrated 'Danger is Everywhere' by comedian and fellow beard owner David O'Doherty and created the cover for Roddy Doyle's new children's book 'Brilliant'.His work has also been featured in the Irish Times, numerous billboards around Ireland and even on the N7/Naas Rd at Newlands Cross (HELLO GLAMOUR!). In addition to all of these amazing achievements, in a previous life, Chris also used to be in The Chalets and won 'Best new band' at the Meteor Music Awards in 2005.
