As part of the IT Press Tour in Silicon Valley, I had the opportunity to sit down with David Flynn, CEO of Hammerspace, to explore how the company is redefining the future of enterprise data storage. At a time when AI-driven workloads and hybrid cloud computing are pushing storage demands to new heights, Hammerspace is stepping in with a fresh approach. Their Global Data Platform is designed to eliminate data silos, providing seamless access and orchestration for unstructured data across edge locations, data centers, and cloud environments. Hammerspace is experiencing a breakout year, with tenfold revenue growth driven by the surging demand for AI storage solutions and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The conversation delves into how the company is enabling enterprises to move beyond traditional storage limitations. David explains the critical role of Parallel Network File System, or pNFS, in delivering high-performance storage solutions. We also discuss why it's gaining traction as organizations seek ways to process massive amounts of data with greater efficiency. Together, we explore the state of pNFS adoption, how Hammerspace is driving its evolution, and why it is a key pillar of its platform strategy. Another important aspect of the discussion is the difference between global namespaces and true data orchestration. While global namespaces have gained attention in enterprise storage, David explains why simply having a global namespace is not enough. Orchestration is the missing piece that allows data to be moved, accessed, and utilized efficiently across distributed environments. By combining orchestration with a truly global namespace, Hammerspace is making data instantly accessible to users, applications, and compute clusters, no matter where they are located. As AI workloads become increasingly complex, the need for a new approach to data management is clear. Enterprises require storage solutions that can keep up with the demands of high-speed analytics, GPU-driven AI, and hybrid cloud strategies. Hammerspace is positioning itself as a leader in this space, offering a way to bridge the gap between traditional storage architectures and the needs of modern enterprises. The company's rapid growth is also reflected in its recent leadership expansion. With a new Chief Revenue Officer joining the team and Hammerspace earning recognition as Product of the Year in TechTarget's Storage Awards, the company is making significant strides in shaping the future of enterprise data storage. With so much change happening in data infrastructure, what does the future hold for AI storage and enterprise data management? Will solutions like Hammerspace become the new industry standard for high-performance storage and orchestration? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Reach out and share your perspective, and stay tuned for more insights from the front lines of technology.
Over the last 20-years, Steven and David Flynn, aka The Happy Pear, have built one of Ireland's best-known health food brands – and they've also become international healthy living influencers, known for the 5am sea swims, the handstands, the yoga in jocks, and all of the quirky things that they have become so famous for. And as a result, they have a massive following of people who love them, and indeed those that don't. And that divided public perception is just of the things we chat about in this really fascinating conversation. . We also talk about things like being identical twins and what that feels like, why we're all too obsessed with protein and are neglecting something far more important, and some pretty out-there places they ended up in on their travels. I think you're going to see a very different side to The Happy Pear in this episode of The Mario Rosenstock Podcast.Comedy – Matt and Ivan, and Taoiseach Simon Harris leave voice notes for the twins.Check out their latest book The Happy Pear 20Produced by Patrick Haughey, AudioBrand

PAUL WROTE that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood.” So, since our struggle in this life is against supernatural evil, which spirits are behind the Israel-Hamas war? That was a question posed to us by a young man in India named Eric. That's a good question, although the answer is necessarily speculative. As Paul also wrote, we see into the spirit realm as though we're looking into a mirror in a darkened room (“through a glass, darkly”, 1 Cor. 13:12). That said, we think the conflict serves the ends of Satan, who Jesus described as having a kingdom (Matt. 12:22–26); Inanna, who we believe is the woman riding the Beast (the Antichrist) in Revelation 17 and 18, who's called Astarte (Ashtoreth) in the Bible; and Shemihazah, the leader of the rebellious Genesis 6 “sons of God” called by various names throughout history including El, Enlil, Dagan/Dagon, Kronos, Saturn, and Molech. We believe Shemihazah is the entity worshiped by Muslims as Allah. Also: The shifting media narrative on Israel, and a warning that Türkiye may intervene in Gaza. Just before David Flynn was born in 1962, his mother was saved (1957) and his father shortly after (1959). They were converted as a result of the labours of Herb Harris and George Campbell, who sailed on the “Missionary Gospel Messenger” boat around Newfoundland and preached the gospel in port after port. One day a man opposed to their efforts shot at the boat with a high-powered rifle and ruined the loud speaker that was broadcasting the gospel. David tells The post Give That Man A Boat! FROM THOMAS HORN When I first heard the news over a year ago about Dr. Michael S. Heiser's pancreatic cancer prognosis I cannot tell you how much my heart was broken for him, his family, and for the world. He was such a huge blessing to me, my kids, and the SkyWatch family as wells as countless others worldwide over the years. His time was short, but I assured him while he was still alive that his tremendous legacy work will live on in the hearts, minds, and theology of believers internationally as well as in his family into the distant future until we meet again in heaven. His efforts and abilities to parse out meaty theology and to make it comprehensible to what he called “Christian middle earthers” (laypeople that exist between academia and religious loonies) made him unequal in modern times. And I am speaking personally. From the days we first met around the time we were all going to Roswell NM with friends like David Flynn and Guy Malone 25-years ago, Mike quickly became one of my favorite thinkers and Bible scholars. Of course, he was aware of that, because of the many times I came to him over the years with questions about Bible claims being made by others that sometimes I wished were true but relied on him to verify or debunk. He was always willing to help me in such important moments and I grew to trust him as one of my highest academic resources. Who would have known years later that I would be privileged to produce what I esteem two of the most important works my Defender Publishing House has ever published—Mike's masterpieces Reversing Hermon as well as his two-volume Companion to the Book of Enoch.

This truly groundbreaking research and analysis is his Magnum Opus in my opinion and will be quoted (or plagiarized as Oscar Wilde wrote, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness”) until Jesus returns to earth.Yet in the end, it is not what he accomplished academically but who he was personally to the rest of us that will mostly live on in our memories—a dedicated servant of God who gave his life to the mission of the Gospel and made lasting friendships along the way. Mike stayed in my home on numerous occasions, and we visited and laughed as equals even though that was never true intellectually. He was the sage, and I (like so many others) the student hungry to absorb as much as we could from this very insightful theologian. When I first heard from him last year that he had cancer and that he might not make it, it hit me hard. Of course, we're all dying. Maybe not today or this year—but in terms of eternity—someday soon all of us will breathe our final earthly breath should the Lord tarry. But I admired Mike for living the mission while he could and for giving so much to the rest of us by way of example. Dr. Heiser was a true standard in that way.So, if you're listening Mike, thank you for all the days you made better and brighter just by being you. You were such an exemplary part of my life and that of my kids, and for that, we'll always be grateful.I will never forget you and I anticipate the day when we meet again in a place far superior to this.Your friend and student,Thomas HornPS—Dr. Michael Heiser was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (M.A., Ancient History) and the University of Wisconsin- Madison (M.A., Ph.D., Hebrew Bible and Semitic Studies). He taught at the college level for many years in class and later via distance education. He served as Scholar-in-Residence at Logos Bible Software, a company that produces ancient text databases and other digital resources for study of the ancient world and biblical studies (among other things Dr. Heiser could translate numerous extinct languages). During his lifetime he received a list of academic honors including from the Society of Biblical Literature (Regional Scholar Award), the James L. Weinstein Fellowship in Hebrew Studies, the Ancient History Department at the University of Pennsylvania, and more. From 2019 until he passed away in 2023, he was Executive Director, Awakening School of Theology and Ministry, Jacksonville, FL.
The Happy Pear brothers David and Stephen Flynn were joined at the hip until they were 18. Active happy lads, they grew up in Ireland in a culture they described as sporty and masculine - with lots of drinking. As identical twins they played plenty of tricks: sharing teenage jobs and one on occasion trying to nick the other's girlfriend! Voyages of self discovery taken in their 20s led the boys to give up alcohol, meat and begin a movement back in Ireland together. We talk about that, about trying to attract attention as a twin, about identity and how a place can shape you and about having a soul-mate for life. On this week's episode, I am in Greystones, Ireland. Before coming, I asked my Instagram followers if they could recommend anyone in Ireland that I could bring on Slo Mo. Pretty much every other message was for The Happy Pear, David and Stephen Flynn, and now I know why. These brothers, identical twins, are two of the kindest, most positive, and most hospitable people I've met in my life. They took me to their farm, store, and restaurant, force-feeding me on levels I've only experienced in the Middle East. After an early life of adventure trying to find their identity, they started an organic store that became a full fledged venture, and now also a podcast, around making healthy choices. They are what we all try to embody when we aim to live our purpose and spread love in the process.I wanted to get serious with this conversation, and sure, we did. But in reality, the biggest benefit of this episode, one that has made it among my favorites ever, is that it's just pure fun.Listen as we discuss:What it's like growing up as twins, with unconditional love from the start.Their trajectory from searching for identity to building a food revolution. The need for rites of passage and the value of uncertainty in travel. What we can learn from the whirling and wandering dervishes.Veganism and how to incorporate it without being radical. When you grow your own food, you savor every piece.Food is the center of every economy. How can you get involved in the food revolution?Manifesting, spirituality, and blah blah blah, let's just enjoy this moment.Their secret to happiness: look at life through childlike wonder.YouTube: @mogawdatofficialInstagram: @mo_gawdatFacebook: @mo.gawdat.officialTwitter: @mgawdatLinkedIn: /in/mogawdatWebsite: mogawdat.comConnect with The Happy Pear on Instagram @thehappypear and her website, thehappypear.ieThe Unstressables membership is part of Mo Gawdat and Alice Law's initiative to take 1 million people out of stress every year. Qantas is gifting most of its 14 million frequent flyers a $50 travel credit as part of a formal apology for poor performance. The credit comes after months of flight delays, cancellations and baggage mishandling. The airline will also allow frequent flyers to retain their current Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum One status through to as far as mid-2024. David Flynn, Editor at Executive Traveller, told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast that these perks are meant to be apology measures.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Inflation is a real problem. It's making us poorer. Your wages aren't being cut, but the cost of living your life is growing faster than what you earn. Fuel prices are up. Utility bills are going higher. Groceries cost more. Hell, everything costs more. But the subject of inflation is a lot more complicated than what's presented by the politicians and the pundits. On this episode of Plain Talk, Dr. David Flynn, a professor of economics at the University of North Dakota, discussed what's causing inflation, and what can do about it. One of the hardest parts of talking about this subject is that there's many different causes that necessitate many solutions. Interest rates are part of the solution, but then so is trade policy. How can we ease supply line snaggles? How can we shorten supply lines? How can we make our economy more nimble so that it can respond to change without necessarily driving up prices? And how do we drive the wage-price spiral? Where higher cost wages drive higher-cost goods and services which in turn creates demand for higher wages again? Earning more money is good, except it doesn't mean much when the cost of living is growing about as fast. Want to be notified when new episodes of Plain Talk drop? In this friendly and open chat, the Happy Pear Twins, Stephen and David Flynn, talk to Gemma about their journey running a plant-based business and what they've learnt along the way. Plus they share heaps of easy, achievable healthy habits – like how to start being plant-based, some quick plant-based recipes for busy people, and how to choose healthy ingredients (and what counts as a superfood). With their beautiful, inspiring (but often funny) imagery the Twins are massive on Instagram and this podcast captures all that Irish magic in audio form! They talk about their daily ‘swimrise' – sunrise swims in the ocean where they live in Greystones, Ireland and how these bring the power of nature and being connected with other people into their lives. The Happy Pear started out in 2004 with a tiny shop and a dream of helping people to eat more veg. Fast forward 17 years and the Happy Pear now consists of cafes, a roastery, a farm, a raft of products, online courses and cookbooks – along with hundreds of amazing employees and a community of over 1 million people. But their mission is the same as it ever was, to help everyone get healthier and happier, and this podcast will help you to do just that.ResourcesThe Wellness Edit/ Holland & BarrettFollow us here https://www.instagram.com/hollandandbarrett/?hl=enhttps://www.hollandandbarrett.com/the-health-hub/podcast/Dr Gemma Newmanhttps://www.instagram.com/plantpowerdoctor/?hl=enhttps://gemmanewman.com/The Happy Pearhttps://www.instagram.com/thehappypear/?hl=enhttps://thehappypear.ie/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

NOTE: This is audio taken from a video interview. To view the video interview, visit www.youtube.com/joshpeckdisclosure Welcome to Part 2 of the Mark Flynn series on The Sharpening! Tonight we pick up where we left off from Part 1 and discuss even deeper elements of his book "Forbidden Secrets of the Labyrinth". In Part 2, entitled "The Bull, the Bees, and the Circuit", we talk even more about ancient mythology and how it is applied into modern-day Freemasonry. We discuss the holy written language of the one true God of the Bible and how the Nachash has tried to taint it all throughout time. We also talk about where this is all heading and what the end of the end times will look like. Mark even tells us some more stories of his late twin brother David Flynn. All this and more is discussed in this, the second part of the Mark Flynn series on The Sharpening, hosted by researcher and author Josh Peck.
