When is the last time you've looked at the tag on your underwear, pants, shorts, shirts, or jackets? There are literally thousands of things that we can upgrade in our lives to reduce our risk of acquiring a disease and half of the battle is not getting stressed about it and just making small incremental changes month after month. Dan Baird created NADS underwear, an alternative to polyester and synthetic material laden products that doesn't put microplastics, forever chemicals, pesticides, formaldehyde, and other compounds straight into the reproductive organs. Over time they become a major contributing factor to erectile dysfunction, infertility and decreased testosterone. He shares his journey of raising his testosterone and how changing out his clothing played a pivotal role. He talks about the dangers of nylon and elastane, the two certifications that he has for his organic cotton underwear, how the chemicals in low quality clothing are reactivated in the skin when you sweat in a sauna, and more. I met Dan Baird through mutual friends and after having a great conversation over the phone, I invited him to jump on the podcast. Dan is the co-creator of NADS underwear which is a Certified organic non-GMO cotton created underwear product that gives your package a clean, comfortable, and healthy home and reduces harsh chemical exposure to your reproductive parts. In speaking with Dan he shared his story about living a clean and healthy lifestyle but noticed that his testosterone was significantly low for a man of his age. It propelled him into learning more about all aspects of health and how the current clothes we wear are made with harsh chemicals, dyes, plastics and more. What was even more concerning was that most athleisure wear and his day to day clothes were the most harmful and possibly contributing to his low T. His research found that male testosterone levels have dropped significantly over the last 3-5 decades. Testosterone levels are detrimentally low amongst men of all ages. Dan and his friend begun the journey of creating a better for you underwear that  promises to provide their customers with the healthiest underwear possible. At NADS they will always design and create products with one main focus above all else: Health. Please enjoy the show and give their products a try. I have switched over to NADS for my day to day and while I'm sure it takes time to notices any difference I can promise you my nads have never been in a better environment. Earnestness. Authenticity. These are the things Nashville-based guitarist Tobin Dale relates to when he considers his chosen craft as a guitarist and playing the music he loves. A true student of rock‘n'roll guitar, Dale has been at it since discovering the Beatles and subsequently picking up the guitar around age 12, growing up in Orlando. In music circles, he's become known as a go-to sideman for touring and sessions when artists are seeking the much-admired weave sound of guitars made popular by the likes of Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones and heard in the sounds of bands like The Faces, Humble Pie, the Black Crowes, Dan Baird projects and more. He first began life as a working musician in Los Angeles after following the cross-country voyage taken by one of his heroes, Tom Petty, who went from central Florida to LA. In California, he first joined the band the Nasty Souls, playing his first live show at the famed Roxy on Sunset at age 21. It was there that the likes of Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Linda Ronstadt, Patti Smith, Prince and more had played prior. Alcohol and drugs, of course, were ever-present in the LA music scene. In particular, booze became a particular vice when playing with Caldwell Jack & the Six Pack during a residency at the Kibitz Room. Dale had a wakeup call during an East Coast tour that helped Dale find sobriety. He ultimately moved to Nashville with the love of his life and began finding bigger opportunities through encounters with the likes of Alejandro Escovedo, through producer Julian Raymond at Big Machine Records, touring with Brock Ganyea and ultimately hooking up with the legendary Ray Wylie Hubbard. Dale's relationship with Hubbard started during his time playing on tour with Ganyea, who was opening shows for Hubbard. The iconic Texas songwriter approached Dale after a few performances and asked him to come up on stage to join him on the song “You Got to Move.” Dale asked Hubbard if he wanted, “the Fred McDowell or the Rolling Stones version.” A kinship was formed and the bond has only solidified since. It didn't hurt, of course, that Dale quickly found chemistry with Hubbard's son and bandmate Lucas—the two weaving their guitars seamlessly—and Dale continues playing with Hubbard's band today, such as his recent gigs on the Sirius XM Outlaw Country Cruise (where Dale also played with Andrew Leahey and the Homestead) and at Red Rocks in Colorado. It would seem, at just age 34, Dale is only getting started. He has a big summer ahead, touring with Tuk Smith & the Restless Hearts, picking up gigs here and there in Nashville and across the U.S. But with every consideration, Dale seemingly comes back to his fundamental tenants—particularly, authenticity. We discuss all of this and more on a terrific edition of The Load Out Music podcast with guitarist Tobin Dale. Enjoy!

Georgia Satellites are owners of one fluke hit from their self-titled debut album - a Chuck Berry-ish throwback-for-the-80s radio.  One song amidst their bucket of barroom rockers.  Those songs don't come around Top 40 too often anymore.  The “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” or “Jealous Again” type of songs are outliers.  So is "Keep Your Hands to Yourself".  It rocketed all the way to #2 on the top 40 singles chart in early 1987.  Bon Jovi kept them out of the top spot with "Livin' on a Prayer". And why do I still think about the band?  They really weren't anything new.  But they did put together a flash of a career - though the band name lives on with guitarist Rick Richards - with some of the best dueling guitars of the 1980's. Again, we go back to the bar band label. It was an easy label to paste on them – to call the band an 80's version of the great 70s rockers, The Faces.  Hell, they even covered "Every Picture Tells a Story". They played rock and roll that was a blast of scraping guitars, big drums and a vibe that bridged the decades before the Black Crowes would make a similar move around 1990.  The Crowes ended up making a career last - off and on – for 25 years.  For the Georgia Satellites? They opened on a couple big tours, played a whole lot of bars and then splintered right around 1990. What is their legacy?  Why a podcast about a retro band than was not around long enough to have a second big hit?  That's what we dive into.  How the Georgia Satellites predated country radio rock that would come just a bit after their time, and end up as an influence for lots of bands - or at least make those bands believe there was a path to a crunching rock and roll career.  Bands like Cross Canadian Ragweed. The Bottle Rockets.  Blackberry Smoke. Singer Dan Baird went on to a solo career and formed a couple really good bands, including Dan Baird and Homemade Sin. One of their best tours was a triple bill in 1987 with Del Fuegos and Tom Petty. They also opened for Bob Seger in 1986 on his American Storm Tour for their first time on arena stage. Dan Baird has said that Bob made sure they had full house lights, house sound, everything the headliner would get. He knew what an opener needed.  He was one for years. Rolling Stone contributing editor Anthony DeCurtis talks about living in Atlanta in the early 1980s,  “The Satellites were like the city's house band.”  They made it into America's consciousness, at least for one song and a few years more for fans of the band.  They brought it live. Loud. Righteous. I say worth remembering one more time. They have a new - recorded in 1988 - live album out now that gives us a taste of what made them so good.  Lightnin' In A Bottle. Seems like a good time now to rewind and salute a band that was better than they ever got credit for.  Of course, if you saw them live, you knew.   I did, and I do. The state of Georgia has long been a hotbed of rock, rhythm and blues that has captured the attention of music lovers worldwide. Indeed, from the Allman Brothers to Gladys Knight & The Pips to Little Feat, from the B-52s to R.E.M., from OutKast to Widespread Panic, Gnarls Barkley to the Black Crowes, the Atlanta Rythym Section, Zac Brown, Drivin N Cryin and Dan Baird and his Georgia Satellites and the rap music scene is off the hook. Now, in the spirit of Georgia alt-country rockers Blackberry Smoke and the Drive-By Truckers, comes the promising Georgia Thunderbolts. The band is a hard-charging southern rock outfit hailing from the bustling metropolis of Rome, GA, located near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. And the Thunderbolts bring a scorching signature style steeped in soulful southern swagger, blistering blues and raw rock. The band finds inspiration well-beyond its backyard, however, with influences ranging from Hank Williams to Neil Young, Ozzy Osbourne, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Stone Cherry and The Kentucky Headhunters among others. And between stints on the road –they are classic road warriors, like most young bands – the Thunderbolts just followed up its first EP, releasing the very strong full-length album “Can We Get a Witness” on October 15. We recently welcomed them into Gaslight Studios for a series of performances and great conversation on The Load Out. Enjoy!

“It's hard to know how people are gonna react,” Chris Knight says of Almost Daylight, his ninth album and first new recording in over seven years. “I've written songs about a lot of different things going all the way back to my first record, and some folks still think ‘somebody kills somebody' is all I write about. Maybe that's why I was bound and determined to get these particular songs on this album. If people like them, then we'll be fine. But I wasn't gonna do it any other way.”For the past 20 years, Chris Knight has only made music his own way. He's released eight acclaimed albums, played thousands of electrifying live shows and built generations of fervent fans from Texas honky-tonks to Manhattan rock clubs. He's been hailed as “the last of a dying breed...a taciturn loner with an acoustic guitar and a college degree” (The New York Times) and “a storyteller in the best traditions of Mellencamp and Springsteen” (USA Today). Bottom line, he's hard-earned his reputation as one of America's most uncompromising and respected singer/songwriters. And now with Almost Daylight, Knight delivers the most powerful – and unexpected – music of his career.Almost Daylight is very much a Chris Knight album, familiarly featuring vivid pictures of rural characters, desperate men and hardscrabble survivors. At the same time it's unlike anything Knight has done before, with formidable testaments to compassion, redemption and even straight-up love. It's an album both tough and tender, as bare-knuckled as it is open-hearted. “I do think there's a cohesiveness to this album,” Knight explains in his thick Kentucky rasp.“The title is key, I suppose. Through all these songs, you could find a theme about seeking shelter.”Produced, mixed and mastered by Grammy-winner Ray Kennedy – best-known for his 30+ year creative partnership with Steve Earle as well as producing Chris' Enough Rope (2006),Trailer II (2009) and Little Victories (2012) albums – Almost Daylight also sounds like no other Knight record, with scorching guitars by Georgia Satellites founder and two-time Knight album producer Dan Baird, rich background vocals by Chris Clark, Siobhan Kennedy and Lee Ann Womack, and deeper instrumentation than ever before. “Chris had been playing some of these songs on the road and started developing ideas before we got to the studio,” Kennedy says. “He and I talked about keeping the Appalachian factor with banjo, fiddle, harmonica and mandolin where it felt right. It was significant that Dan was involved, as he's the man who can play guitar with the right feeling for Chris. The background vocals really brought the fire, and this lead to ideas for piano, Hammond B-3, accordion and Wurlitzer electric piano. Everything evolved from the performance of each song and I let the songs dictate what they needed in order to evolve into an album.”“I was determined not to do any acoustic songs on this album,” Chris explains. “I wanted it all to sound edgy and raw, but to feel big at the same time. We kept trying different approaches until I felt we landed on what worked. The thing is, some of my songs might take a year of writing before I even think they're ready for recording and I fretted about every one of these. I've never put a cover song on any of my records before, but there are two covers on this one. And I think it all fits together pretty good.”The album opens with “I'm William Callahan”, a defiant roar fueled by equal parts pride, memories and searing guitar. “Crooked Mile” is classic Knight, a piercing take on outsiders bound by love, while the poignant “Send It On Down” is a plaintive plea for salvation. There are tales of small-town despair (“I Won't Look Back”), ominous rural menace (“Trouble Up Ahead”) and melancholic break-ups (“Everybody's Lonely Now”). Born and raised in Tennessee, songwriter Will Hoge made his name honing a blend of soulful Americana and heartland rock & roll. After spending his childhood in the Nashville suburb of Franklin, he left Tennessee to study history at Western Kentucky University. Music drew him back home, however, and he relocated to Nashville to assemble a band that included former Georgia Satellites guitarist Dan Baird. Hoge then cut his teeth on the Southern bar circuit and issued a live release, 1999's All Night Long, before inking a deal with Atlantic Records.     *******SUBSCRIBE/RATE/REVIEW!!! www.richredmond.com/listen   The Rich Remond Show is sponsored by: Big Dot Lighting - Commercial LED Lighting Specialists   -and-   Bruce Cline Home Loans & Mortgage Refinance | Movement Mortgage www.musiciansmortgage.com       With the label's support, he entered Memphis' famed Ardent Studios to record his official debut, Carousel, with engineer John Hampton (the Replacements, Gin Blossoms). The album was released in 2000, and Blackbird on a Lonely Wire followed in 2003 (albeit without Baird, who'd left due to the band's demanding tour schedule). Record sales were slim, though, and Hoge found himself receiving minimal attention from his label. Requesting release from his contract, Hoge was made a free agent.   Following his departure from the Atlantic roster, Hoge combined a relentless tour schedule with a string of independent releases, from live albums and brief EPs to a full-fledged studio effort (2006's The Man Who Killed Love). Rykodisc took note of Hoge's work, particularly his 200-plus shows per year, and signed the artist. Draw the Curtains, Hoge's fourth studio album and first effort for Rykodisc, was released in October 2007, followed by -- what else? -- an aggressive fall tour. Recording sessions for another record began in 2008, but work was temporarily postponed on August 20th, when a scooter accident left Hoge severely injured. Months of physical therapy followed. Hoge focused on his recovery for the remainder of 2008, eventually returning to the studio project in 2009 and releasing The Wreckage later that year. Hoge put out his seventh studio album, the appropriately titled Number Seven, in September 2011. He and co-writer Eric Paslay received 2012 Academy of Country Music (ACM), Country Music Association (CMA), and Grammy nominations for Best Country Song for "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," the opening track on the Eli Young Band's album Life at Best. In December of 2012, Hoge released the digital-only EP Modern American Protest Music, which included the songs "Folded Flag" and "Ballad of Trayvon Martin." In October of 2013, Never Give In, his eighth full-length, was released by Cumberland Recordings. The album's first single, "Strong," was tapped by Chevy for its 2014 Silverado pickup truck ad campaign. He followed it in 2015 with the album Small Town Dreams, which landed at number 15 on the country charts.   While touring in support of the record, Hoge hit a career wall. He enjoyed writing songs for others and playing live, but he had fallen out of love with being in a band. What followed was a period of introspection. He let his working group go and took off on a cross-country jaunt playing solo. Reclaiming the joy that inspired him to make music a vocation in the first place, he began writing while traveling. He reentered the studio with an ace cast of studio players and completed Anchors. The self-produced 11-track set was previewed in June 2017 by the single "Little Bit of Rust" (a duet with Sheryl Crow), and followed two weeks later by "Baby's Eyes." The album proper appeared in August from Eldo/Thirty Tigers. Hoge quickly followed Anchors with My American Dream, which appeared in October 2018. 2020's Tiny Little Movies was a thematically and musically diverse LP, including personal numbers about failing romances and broadsides against political and spiritual dishonesty.     A few things that came up:   -How Nashville has changed -Will is a Nashville native -"Even if it Breaks your Heart" is his favorite song that he's written -Zooming co-writing sessions -Will's series, "How did we end up here?" -Missing the "hang" -Marvel or Star Wars? -Haters -Played with Aldean early on and they helped him save their show   Contact:  www.willhoge.com IG: @willhoge       _____________________________   The Rich Redmond Show is about all things music, motivation and success. Dan Baird, CEO of Wrench.AI (wrench.ai), embarks on an intricate analysis of the future of marketing strategies and consumer data as AI opens the secret door to better client and consumer profiles. Dan Baird's entrepreneurial spirit as a self-described launch strategist has driven him to create and launch multiple startups in a wide variety of sectors. From oversized beanbags to fundraising entities, when it comes to launching businesses, Baird has always been curious about the journey as well as the destination. His company, Wrench.AI collaborates with entrepreneurs to help simplify their product launches and thus build a better gateway to success. Through the use of AI-powered software, Wrench.AI is a tool that combines aggregate data and information about existing customer and client bases to provide a deeper understanding of how they think, and what type of products may interest them. Wrench.AI is the clever combination of a marketing agency that specializes in equity crowdfunding and a software company focused on delivering simple, accurate code. Their primary goal is to provide a simplified process in which companies can utilize the incredible power of their data to automate manual processes and maximize their marketing efforts via AI and machine learning. Wrench.AI seeks to create data-driven solutions that push business marketing, sales, and efficiencies forward while reducing the exorbitant costs of acquiring capital. Wrench.AI is engaged with many types of B2B organizations such as commercial real estate firms, funds, merchant and online lenders, credit unions, cash advance companies, mezzanine financiers, packaged goods companies, and many more. The entrepreneurial strategist states that through the combination of digital marketing strategies and existing public data, Wrench.AI offers a more precise and detailed look at where the true potential lies within potential investor and client lists. As Baird explains, the AI provides a wealth of information that gives incredible insight into groups and individuals to understand how informed they are about product lines or services, and as such provides an indisputable inside edge with marketing. As Baird states, every company on the planet has a marketing and sales division and Wrench.AI's platform enables them to nail their goals more efficiently. Baird remarks how the AI can, amazingly, reverse engineer specific personality types based on words and language to provide a keen insight into who your target demographic or potential lead, or customer actually is at the core. Utilizing this information and data offers an opportunity to go forward into a point of contact or engagement with a potential customer or client armed with knowledge of their specific grasp of a particular product, line, or service, as well as their potential for buying. Also, by pairing individuals with similar personality traits, Wrench.AI allows for conversations and engagement points to be streamlined, which creates a greater opportunity for success, and most assuredly a decreased stress interaction. Baird muses that as the AI develops, the question companies will pose is, how can we do bigger, better, and fewer innovation strategies in the future and Wrench.AI is poised to be there for companies to help them push their marketing forward to the next level.
