In this episode, Leda and the crew spill the real tea on the hair extension industry — from overpriced vendor lists and fake luxury brands to behind-the-curtain secrets of the SWAN Method. They're headed to the Orlando Hair Show (June 1–2) and they're not holding anything back.Hear Leda explain why most extension methods are a scam, how she kept the SWAN Method affordable and patent-protected, and why her students are leveling up faster than ever. Plus: conspiracy theories, AI, fake Guccis, and a viral Amazon stick ad? Yeah… this one goes there.
Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with the tale of two New Yorkers—both facing criminal indictments, both with a similar style. Could Democrat Eric Adams someday be a Republican presidential nominee? He certainly seems to meet MAGA ethical standards. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris takes the global stage, meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, while Donald Trump is busy selling watches, like a street scammer hawking fake Guccis. Plus, we explore the politics of hate, with Republican Congressman Clay Higgins making vile racist comments about Haitians, and Mark Robinson, also known as "The Black Nazi," reportedly making a disturbing comment about Reverend Al Sharpton. Reverend Al will be here to respond. Listen now to this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Listen now (2 mins) | Today’s train robbers don’t need masks or guns, for they are railroad executives wearing $3,000 suits and robbing us by railroading the political system. With their gangs of lobbyists and hopper cars of campaign cash, they get Congress to do their dirty work, gutting public safety protections and muting railway unions. Thus, rich investors get richer, while regular people are hit by an astonishing level of derailments, injuries, destruction… and death.

This week, Joel and Andy watch House of Gucci, Ridley Scott's epic about the rise and fall of the Guccis. The film has an all-star cast doing some very silly accents.

Ridley Scott hadde regi på to påkostede kinofilmer høsten 2021, The Last Duel og House of Gucci, lansert med noen ukers mellomrom. Deretter skiftes deler av panelet ut, og The Last Duel havner i fokus. Episoden inneholder spoilere for begge filmene. Ved lydopptakeren sitter Ida Cathrine Holme Nielsen, Lars Ole Kristiansen og Karsten Meinich. God lytting!

House of Gucci went through several writers before the project found one who could do justice to the surreally messy story of the feuding Guccis. Married producers Ridley Scott and Giannina Facio finally found the right writer for the job in Roberto Bentivegna, who said the key to cracking the story was not approaching it too seriously. In this episode, he talks about the role of comedy in the film, and the ruthless and elegant changes he had to make to the Gucci saga to tell his fun, breezy and at times tragic story. We also talk about a scene Jared Leto thought up on-set, writing an extra scene for Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons, and playing as a child near the site of the most violent movie in the film. And we make fun of critics who think the movie is "unintentionally funny." On March 27, 1995, Maurizio Gucci – the one-time chairman of the House of Gucci – was killed in cold blood. The murder became Italy's crime of the century. As a story, it had it all: a rags-to-riches family saga, a vengeful ex-wife, and the glitz and glamor of the world of high fashion. But what it didn't have... was an ending. For two years, detectives went in circles. To solve the case, they'd have to crack open Maurizio's life like a book.In the first episode of our three-part series, we turn back to page one. How did Guccio Gucci, a poor bellhop, make his name synonymous with luxury? How did a family as glamorous as the Guccis produce a child as shy and awkward as Maurizio? And how did Maurizio go from the most overlooked member of the family to its most powerful?Rothys- Get $20 off your first purchase at rothys.com/RICH!Pura Vida- Text RICH to 38817 to learn when you can Get up to 50% off your order & FREE SHIPPING!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Unsere Kollegin Kerstin Keller hört schon Stimmen! “Don’t take tax advice from your friend. Just because your friend wrote off something doesn’t mean you can too.” – Ronica Brown, CPA Have there been times when you paid for something and wondered: “Can I run this through my business?!” Groceries as “office supplies”? Nails and makeup as “uniform”? Vacations as “business travel”? Worse yet, your CPA – whom you thought knew what he/she was doing! – told you that you can write off your Gucci handbag as a “uniform?” Certainly, it may apply in some industries, but you may want to get a second opinion on the type of tax advice you’re getting. Ronica Brown, CPA and owner of the Ronica Brown Agency, demystifies what you can and cannot do (legally) as a business owner on your taxes. She schools us on tax mistakes we need to avoid and reminds us that not all CPAs are created equal. Some will cause more harm to your financial bottom-line than good. From deducting Guccis to Porsches, tune in now to hear what other tax missteps you need to avoid. What we tackle in this episode: Do you really need to hire a CPA? If so, then when? What red flags should you look for when hiring a CPA? What questions should you ask before hiring one? What business expenses can you write off and how do you avoid red flags for an audit? What happens when you lie to your tax professional? How do you even know your tax professional is doing a good job? When should you review your taxes in the year? What’s the difference between a bookkeeper, accountant, tax filer, and tax planner? Should you hire just one person who can do it all? Can a CPA do the same things as a financial planner or vice versa? Should you hire a CPA before you open a business or when your business starts to actually make money? What are legal tax loopholes you can take advantage of? How can you avoid an audit? --- Grab your free video course! “Don’t take tax advice from your friend. Just because your friend wrote off something doesn’t mean you can too.” – Ronica Brown Have there been times when you paid for something and wondered: “Can I run this through my business?!” Worse yet, your CPA – whom you thought knew what he/she was doing! Top 10 Questions answered in this episode: Do you really need to hire a CPA? Join the conversation and be part of the Made® community: Are you a Self-Made CEOTM?
