Kendall feels like Casia might be projecting a little bit with her anger towards Elander. Jess is highly suspicious of everyone and doesn't trust their loyalty. They are both working very hard to understand the hierarchy of gods in this series and have major hate for a certain King-Emperor. Kendall is very much here for that serious twist in Elander and Casia's story and Jess is very much here for the library escapades and desecrated temples. Kendall can not understand how someone could be so committed to becoming a vampire, yet so afraid of committing to marriage.  They both realize exactly why they never team Jacob, and are ready to punch a werewolf in the face, too.
