Do you ever feel like you're waiting for the “right moment” before making a change? You want to feel safe, certain, and fully confident before you take the leap. But that hesitation keeps you stuck in the same old cycle. The longer you wait, the heavier the doubt grows. Fear, resentment, and old beliefs whisper that you'll fail again, so you hold back. And while you wait, the peace and freedom you crave stay just out of reach. The truth is, transformation starts with action first. When you leap -– even while scared — you create the belief and momentum you've been missing. With the right tools, like Hypnosis and rewiring your mindset, you can finally let go of the past and step into lasting freedom. Let's dive into this episode and know the importance of self-trust, forgiveness, and letting go of shame to achieve lasting change. Let's explore how aligned action, subconscious healing, and releasing past resentment can break the cycle of dieting. “You must take action first. Then the belief strengthens you. In today's episode we're talking about steel — but not in the usual way. My guest, Ben Holmes, is Head of Sustainability at Elliott Wood, the structural and civil engineers behind, amongst many other things, 30 Duke Street, the UK's largest steel reuse project in which some 78% of steel from the original structure is being repurposed.Ben believes that the current public sector rescue of British Steel presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity — not just to save an industry, but to reimagine our fabrication and use of steel entirely - and at the same time give a huge boost to the communities that the industry supports.Steel is foundational to our modern world — from the bridges we cross to the trains we ride, the buildings we work in to the wind turbines driving the energy transition. But steel is also one of the most carbon-intensive materials we produce. If the UK is serious about hitting its net zero goals, the way we make, use, and think about steel must change.Ben has developed five provocative “what if” scenarios that challenge us to look beyond short-term fixes and instead think about system-wide changes that could genuinely transform the steel industry and the communities that it supports. In today's podcast we are going to examine these and find out whether they go beyond simply being fanciful — and instead, by drawing on proven global examples from around the world to create the necessary vision and political will - they could actually prompt change.Let's here moreResourcesBen' five "What ifs":What if... we thought generationally, not electorally? What if... we created centres of excellence beyond production? What if... we made green steel the standard, not the exception? What if... we connected steel to communities in new ways? What if… former steelworks became mixed-use districts combining light manufacturing, creative industries, and cultural spaces? Wool, more often than not, is seen as a byproduct of Canadian lamb production. While many sheep producers appreciate that wool is a remarkable renewable fibre, shearing sheep and handling wool is a flat cost, done for the health of the sheep, with little chance of return on the wool itself. But Jane Underhill, founder... Read More

In this powerful episode, Jen Delvaux sits down with Dana Donofree, a breast cancer survivor and the visionary founder of AnaOno—a lingerie brand created specifically for women who've undergone breast surgery. Diagnosed at just 27 years old, Dana turned her pain into purpose by designing bras that fit, support, and celebrate post-surgery bodies. Together, they dive into: Dana's personal breast cancer journey and the challenges of treatment at a young age The emotional toll of finding lingerie that didn't fit her new body—and how that frustration became the spark for AnaOno The powerful message behind Cancer Culture's Fashion Show and how it's changing lives The ongoing need for funding and action—specifically for metastatic breast cancer research Why healing is not linear, and how self-love and empowerment are part of the recovery journey Whether you've been through cancer or love someone who has, this episode is a must-listen reminder that beauty isn't lost after breast cancer—it's redefined.
A richly imagined new view on the great human tradition of apocalypse, from the rise of Homo sapiens to the climate instability of our present, that defies conventional wisdom and long-held stories about our deep past to reveal how cataclysmic events are not irrevocable endings, but transformations. A drought lasts for decades, a disease rips through a city, a civilization collapses. When we finally uncover the ruins, we ask: What happened? The good news is, we've been here before. History is long, and people have already confronted just about every apocalypse we're facing today. But these days, archaeologists are getting better at seeing stories of survival, transformation, and even progress hidden within those histories of collapse and destruction. Perhaps, we begin to see, apocalypses do not destroy worlds, but create them anew. Apocalypse offers a new way of understanding human history, reframing it as a series of crises and cataclysms that we survived, moments of choice in an evolution of humanity that has never been predetermined or even linear. Here Lizzie Wade asks us to reckon with our long-held narratives of these events, from the end of Old Kingdom Egypt, the collapse of the Classic Maya, to the Black Death, and shows us how people lived through and beyond them—and even considered what a new world could look like in their wake. The more we learn about apocalypses past, the more hope we have that we will survive our own. It won't be pleasant. It won't be fair. The world will be different on the other side, and our cultures and communities—perhaps even our species—will be different too. What if healing isn't about reaching some perfect end point, but about constantly rebuilding relationships—with yourself, with others, and with the world around you? In this episode, I'm talking with Prentis Hemphill, bestselling author of What it Takes to Heal, about how healing is actually a radical, ongoing process. We dive into how healing connects to social change, and how we can start resisting the futures we don't want while building the ones we actually do.You'll hear about tapping into your body's wisdom, making real change through local action, and practicing who you want to be, rather than waiting for some magical transformation. This conversation will remind you that, no matter how chaotic things get, we hold the power to create the futures we want, one step at a time.Get full show notes, transcript, and more information here: https://schoolofnewfeministthought.com/408

This episode features a deep dive into trading psychology, strategy, and lifestyle with JP from JPO Capital. He discusses how taking partial profits in 2023 was the turning point from break-even to profitable. He emphasizes the importance of trading as a scalable side income, not as an all-or-nothing career, especially for those with families or financial responsibilities. JP shares that he trades both prop and personal accounts, sticks to three instruments (gold, oil, euro), and avoids overtrading by capping himself at three trades a day.Sponsor: Top One FuturesLink: https://www.asfx.biz/tof Code: ASFX Sponsor: TradezellaLink: https://tradezella.com?fpr=asfx Code: ASFX for 20% offHe talks about the dangers of strategy-hopping and how consistency and backtesting built his edge. Risk management, discipline, and taking breaks are key themes. JP also explains why he doesn't dynamically size trades—he prefers fixed risk, trusting data over feelings. He highlights revenge trading as his biggest flaw and shares how he avoids burnout with structured time off.The conversation also critiques social media's "go all in" trading culture, discusses prop firms, and why trading personal capital may be better long-term. They explore gold's bullishness, mean reversion strategy, order flow, and even asteroid mining for gold. The episode closes with predictions for gold and equity markets and a shared appreciation for trader Burns Skurupinski's macro approach.Connect with Juan - https://x.com/jpocapital
Today's Scripture - Romans 12:2God will bring you into his new future by bringing his new future into you.
Thankfully, at some point, Jesus will return for us! When Jesus returns, the Bible is clear, He will make us new for eternity! We know we are a new creation in and through Him right now, but we also struggle with the effects of this broken world and look forward to that Day when He returns and makes us new forever! Today we remember from God's Word that we've been given “The New Future You” in and through our faith in Jesus!

Scott Wu is the co-founder and CEO of Cognition, the company behind Devin—the world's first autonomous AI software engineer. Unlike other AI coding tools, Devin works like an autonomous engineer that you can interact with through Slack, Linear, and GitHub, just like with a remote engineer. With Scott's background in competitive programming and a previous AI-powered startup, Lunchclub, teaching AI to code has become his ultimate passion. What you'll learn:1. How a team of “Devins” are already producing 25% of Cognition's pull requests, and they are on track to hit 50% by year's end2. How each engineer on Cognition's 15-person engineering team works with about five Devins each3. How Devin has evolved from a “high school CS student” to a “junior engineer” over the past year4. Why engineering will shift from “bricklayers” to “architects”5. Why AI tools will lead to more engineering jobs rather than fewer6. How Devin creates its own wiki to understand and document complex codebases7. The eight pivots Cognition went through before landing on their current approach8. If you could eliminate a memory from your mind completely, would you do it? And what would that kind of erasure mean at a societal level? These are some of the questions at the heart of Portland writer Karen Russell’s latest novel, “The Antidote.” The book opens on Black Sunday, the dust storm in April 1935 that swept thousands of tons of topsoil into the air over the Midwest. One of the central characters, a "prairie witch" known as The Antidote, can remove people’s memories and store them in her own body. As she and the other main characters' lives intersect, they learn more about the value of those memories and the history of the land and the people who came before them. And filling in those holes in the past enables them to see alternate futures. Karen Russell joins us to talk about the book.

Change may be inevitable, but it's far from easy. That's especially true in the therapy field. Part of my own shift is a greater focus (on this podcast and IRL) on system-wide transformation, especially in the group practice realm. How do we bridge the gap between employees and owners when both feel overworked and underpaid? Sociocracy could be the answer. But first, what the heck is sociocracy? Ted Rau, PhD., co-founded Sociocracy For All (SoFA), a nonprofit that makes decentralized, consent-based governance accessible to workplaces, organizations, and communities. He knows a lot about how sociocracy works in principle and practice, having become a practitioner of the governance style as a member of an intentional living community. GUEST BIO Ted Rau is an advocate, trainer, and consultant for self-governance with a focus on sociocracy. After earning a PhD in linguistics and working in academia, he co-founded Sociocracy For All in 2016, a now global organization with 250 members. Ted consults with mission-driven organizations, teaches, and actively participates in Sociocracy For All's work. A transgender man and father of five, Ted has lived in Massachusetts since 2010. He is the co-author of three books on self-governance, including Many Voices One Song (2018) and Collective Power (2023), and is currently writing on governance and wisdom. *** SUPPORT THE SHOW Conversations With a Wounded Healer Merch Join our Patreon for gifts & perks Shop our Bookshop.org store and support local booksellers Share a rating & review of this show *** Let's be friends!
