Well, here it is, the 2024 Retrospective, where we each give our Top 5 Favorite and Top 5 Worst genre films of the year that was 2024. We also have quite a few honorable mentions and runners up this year. This is always a blast for us. This episode Devan and I discuss the ultra-violent Korean horror-action film, Project Wolf Hunting! We address the film's level of gore and how it feels different from other films, we bring up Britney Spears and later on we ask, "If you fought your parents, who would win?" Enjoy!
This week, Matt, Joe, and SuperFan Marc start out discussing recent viewings like LONGLEGS, EXHUMA, ODDITY, MAXXXINE, ABIGAIL, and more. Then, hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen, you aren't going to believe what flashed right before our eyes! Your jaw will hit the floor on some of these picks. Join Matt, Joe & Marc as we collectively exclaim "WTF" on this episode of Cinescare. These are movies that will make you question WTF you just watched: DEAD ALIVE (aka BRAINDEAD), ZOMBIE, ANTICHRIST, THE LIGHTHOUSE, and PROJECT WOLF HUNTING.

After a waterlogged hiatus, we're pack to slice through the 2024 Chainsaw Awards. Which is better - The First Omen or Late Night With the Devil? Why were Sister Death and Project Wolf Hunting snubbed, and why is When Evil Lurks nominated for best wide release and best international movie? Pick a lane, Fangoria! Also, love you Nick Cage, but Longlegs (Canada & USA, 2024) is not a modern Silence of the Lambs. a bit overyped. We cut through the hype. Also, we revisit The First Omen and unpack trippy scifi arcs and unfortunate creature design in Joko Anwar's Nightmares and Daydreams (Indonesia, 2024). This week we have a quick run-down of the Oscar nominations. We ask, yet again, does anyone REALLY care about award shows anymore? We feel we're caring less and less every year. Pattie's only seen 2 movies that have any nominations. Bill has a list of movies that celebrate their 50th, 40th, 30th, 20th, and 10th anniversaries this year. He hopes you'll watch them.Pattie has a review of the new Apple Plus series Criminal Record, starring Peter Capaldi. Plus she reviews the movies Dumb Money and Project Wolf Hunting. Also she has rediscovered Grimm in syndication on the network Comet. Does it hold up? PLUS BILL HAS BIG NEWS!!

I interviewed Actress Jung So-Min, Actor Seo In-Guk, Director Hongsun Kim about their movie Project Wolf Hunting at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Sep 14, 2022. I interviewed talent at TIFF, which was Sep 9-19, 2022. Most interviews were very short chats on red carpets. But some red carpet chats were a bit longer, and some interviews were longer chats in hotel rooms or restaurants. I'll post some of the longer ones as podcasts, and you can view all the interviews at my YouTube. • FOLLOW ME: Subscribe to my Substack newsletter. Follow me on Instagram. It's the very 100 and 4th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This is going to be a short description because I'm tired and I have a lot of other shit to do lol. It's also kind of a reflection of this episode. Melissa was practically falling asleep on her microphone and I wasn't much better and we were both just goofy and out of it in general. Still, mostly a fun one nonetheless. Anyways, we talk about “Little Shop of Horrors”. Go get it!!! ——— Also discussed: Bleed for Me (2020) Flux Gourmet (2022) Boulet Brothers' Halfway to Halloween (2023) Seed People (1992) Unhinged (2020) Project: Wolf Hunting (2023) ——— If you dig the show, PLEASE! Salutations idiots! Hopefully you've had the opportunity to listen to the previous episode featuring the introduction of our new cohost, Jacob. He's dope. We appreciate him, and we appreciate all the good will and words of encouragement we've received from many of you. “Don't act so weak... this is just the beginning. Remember... your nightmare's only getting worse!” It's the Who Goes There Podcast episode 384! Next up is 2022's bonkers South Korean sci-fi action horror hybrid, PROJECT WOLF HUNTING. Among other fine moments, this film bears the distinction of being the only film we're aware of in which a man is presumably killed by another man's Dee, mid-cockgobble. This is important stuff. The film is currently available to rent on VOD or stream on Screambox. As always, if you enjoy the show, please consider joining our Patreon subscribers. That means for less than the cost of a beer, or whatever reasonably affordable means you use to temporarily alleviate or deny the pain of living, you get bonus content and exclusive merchandise. International travel is scary. There are savage criminals, bloodthirsty cannibals and all sorts of nasty surprises out there. You should really just stay home, but if you do book a ticket with us, get ready for gleeful blood splatter in Project Wolf Hunting (2022), South Korea's joyful answer to the question "What if a 90s Nick Cage-y action flick had tons of gore?" After that, we watch a snarky anti-hero get his ass kicked in the bank heist / sarcastic comedy / cannibal horror mashup Bloody Hell (Australia, 2020). Also, get ready for Japanese body horror and British/Irish leprechauns (maybe?) in coming streaming drops. Project Wolf Hunting: Motion Picture Terror Scale: 2. Quality: 4.33. Enjoyment: 4. This week we head back to the mystical land of the orient and discover that, as long suspected, the people of Asia have the highest blood pressure of anyone in the world. We also discover that high school girls are more terrifying than the reanimated corpse of a World War II soldier capable of pulling a man's arm off and caving his skull in with it. We kick things off with a discussion of what may be the bloodiest movie (in gallons) to ever bloody our screens in the newly released South Korean blood bomb, Project Wolf Hunting (2022). Then we suffer a full blown nervous breakdown while watching Koji Yakusho track down his emotionally abusive demon spawn in Tetsuya Nakashima's nihilism bomb, World of Kanako (2019).
