As highly sensitives in business and leadership, our relationship with money often reflects stories from our past and stories that were never ours to begin with, but were handed down to us from our family of origin. In this final episode on Money Mindset 2.0, we explore the deeper terrain of money mindset transformation, not so that you can become someone or do something you don’t want to do, and not so that you can reach a certain income goal to prove that you’re successful, but so you can find HSP peace. Especially in these exceptional times, where this shift is not just necessary—it is part of our calling to rise up as leaders. The invitation is to become aware, focused, and intentional so you can rewrite the money story you’ve inherited and create from a place of empowerment, purpose and peace for your forever lifetime. In this episode, I guide you through the next steps of the Money Mindset 2.0 series on creating change intentionally. We revisit the transformational journey of identifying limiting beliefs and money triggers and taking personal responsibility for your money story. I share spiritual insights and affirmations, including guidance from teachings by Anaïs Nin and Tosha Silver, to support a mindset of empowerment and possibility. Through self-inquiry, and willingness to be in practice with shifting your money mindset, you’ll learn how do things differently, and step into consistent, supported action. Listen in to the end to receive guidance on how to continue working with shifting your money mindset weekly. The way forward is yours to choose. “There is a fierce focus required…for us Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs and Leaders to accelerate our own growth in order to contribute our unique lens of leadership, whether in your business, your relationships, yourself.” – Heather Dominick Listen and Learn: 5:41: How to use money mindset to create intentional change 7:19: What are mantras to set a healthy money mindset 8:28: How to step into a deeper determination of self-creation 10:36: How to navigate change as a highly sensitive person “Guided by the spirit within I let go of all fear and doubt. In this episode of 'Becoming Undone,' I share a personal and transformative experience that occurred during a weekend getaway for a friends birthday. Through this incident, we dive into the concept of being 'outrageously open' to life's events—whether planned or unexpected. Embracing life's challenges, rather than resisting them, can lead to greater self-awareness and alignment with one's true nature. Journal To Process Your Day In This Episode:
Today's episode weaves together lessons on love inspired by the words and perspectives of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Jaiya John, Alana Fairchild, Tosha Silver, and Rumi. As we navigate through a world that is plagued with atrocities and heavily warped by what we see on social media, staying in love has become more and more of a difficult task. Throughout our sermon, we dive into the intricacies of love, including the concept of fierce love and why love isn't always polite, considerate, or comfortable. We also explore the multifaceted nature of love, the significance of embodying love in your actions, behaviors, and choices, as well as how to view the world through the eyes of love. In episode 451 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss: (4:24) Understanding the seasons and cycles of love (5:29) An excerpt from Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Beyond Vietnam" (10:23) The universality of "Love like Love loves" by Jaiya John (14:01) Reflections on the difference between love portrayed on social media and our messy real-life relationships (16:16) Why love speaks truth and doesn't seek comfort (19:10) How to embody love and use it see through distractions (23:13) Highlighting The Lover and The Beloved Rumi Oracle card as a representation of weaving love (29:03) A prayer for infusing more love into our hearts Resources mentioned in the episode: Wild Soul Sunday Service Join the Reweave Interest list Beyond Vietnam by Martin Luther King Jr. Love like Love loves Instagram post by Jaiya John Rumi Oracle Deck by Alana Fairchild Work with me: NEW! Is resolve the only thing you need to find success as an artist? Nope. In fact, I see so many artists hustling day in and day out (myself included, once upon a time). Despite all their work, they're still stuck and can't seem to get the one thing every artist needs to build a thriving art career: a sale of their work! Talking about money can be tough in this career but in this episode, I want to show you something you may not have thought about yet: Your money mindset, and how it could be holding you back. Could the stories you're telling yourself be keeping you from success? And are things like grit and determination really enough to help you build a successful art biz? Let's find out! Notes: A generous song to let us both receive and release -- I deeply respect Lynn O'Brien's way of moving through the world. I love singing this song of hers so these words, this wisdom of taking and dropping, yes and no, can sift into my being and start to feel natural, like something I believe in my very core. Patty says, "I connected this song with the micro rhizomes and roots of trees -- what they have within them to give and what is given to them from others." Yes, yes, yes!!! Songwriter Info: Described as a "musical force of nature," Lynn O'Brien is an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, performer and recording artist with a soulful, dynamic voice. She has captivated thousands of audiences with her healing original songs, well-loved covers and compelling vocal improvisation - seamlessly blending genres like folk, jazz, soul, blues and R&B. Lynn has collaborated with artists across all mediums (from book authors to belly dancers to Bobby McFerrin himself) and also soars as a solo artist; she accompanies her vocals on guitar, ukulele, piano and occasional loop station to create an a cappella "one woman choir" effect. Drawing on her background as a board-certified music therapist, women's empowerment coach and speaker, Lynn brings a deep sense of presence, authenticity and inventiveness to every performance. In a moment of deep presence, Lynn spontaneously composed this tune as a self-prayer and intention-setting of radical openness. Influenced by Tosha Silver's writings and many other spiritual teachers, she finds that her core work is often about opening - opening to receive and release - opening to being an easy, open conduit for Life to come through. Singing and improvisation is where this openness is most accessible for her, but she tries to practice in all areas of life. Thanks for listening, and please use this freely. Sharing Info: Yes -- The song is free to share but Lynn always welcome financial and/or networking support if/when folks are so moved. In this episode, Julia, Westley, and Rev. Dr. Carter discuss the intersections of Christian belief and economic practice. They examine the uncomfortable truism that to create an equitable economy some people will have to be willing to have less money! Why this is so difficult for people to accept (spoiler - people love money!). Lastly, they end their conversation exploring how we can grow to see money as a gift to be shared rather than something to be horded. When you catch a wishie, what do you yearn for? Today's book club episode might shift your “wish” hereafter to just one powerful offering. Tosha Silver's grassroots-to-bestselling book Outrageous Openness: Letting the Divine Take the Lead is a cornerstone of my collection, one that changed my life when I first read it nearly a decade ago. The stories from this book were adapted from two years of Tosha's columns for the San Francisco Examiner, after she spent 25 years giving nearly 30,000 readings to people from all over the world. After OO became a self-published sensation, she got a traditional book deal and republished with Atria a few years later. More about Tosha: For the past 30 years, Tosha Silver has taught people around the world practical ways to align with Inner Love. She's the author of Outrageous Openness, Change Me Prayers, and It's Not Your Money. She particularly enjoys finding fresh, funny ways to embrace the Divine, while avoiding conventional jargon and cliches.

Biz and I started by talking about motherhood and resisting the urge to protect our adult children from hard stuff in life.Biz said she now asks “What do you need from me?” as a way to give and to respect her sons' autonomy. Asking that question puts the power in their hands.Little did I know that I'd use this exact question one day later when a young friend was in crisis. And, then again when my college friend had a sudden family death. It's a beautiful way to support someone without overdoing it!Then I asked Biz abut Internal Family Systems, a form of inquiry that she uses in her therapy and coaching practices.Internal Family Systems is a way to acknowledge the many different parts inhabiting ourselves–and listening and validating those parts rather than dismissing or exiling them.Biz took time in the moment to acknowledge and comfort the part of her that felt insecure about answering questions about IFS. It slowed down our conversation and helped me to connect with the part of myself that feels pushed and would like to slow down too.Biz also shared her racial justice journey, including times when her fear stopped her and how she keeps listening and learning. We also talked about why she re-branded her podcast from Woman Worriers to Awaken your Wise Woman. Finally Biz pulled a card from the Divine Abundance oracle deck by Tosha Silver--with the intention of supporting our listeners. She chose the Inner Child Card. This card is all about being gentle and compassionate with one's self.Elizabeth Cush, LCPC, is a women's life coach, a licensed clinical professional counselor, and business owner in Annapolis, MD. When you feel down, remind yourself (as I do) what Julian of Norwich, a 14th-century mystic, said: “All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.”

A few weeks ago, I rearranged my office space to accommodate more musical recording. I'm in a pretty small room, so anything I can do to utilize space more efficiently is a tremendous help. I also have a difficult time sorting and giving things away or selling them. I have a 2000 Ford van sitting in the driveway that hasn't run in over a year and it's been waiting for me to just decide where it goes and make arrangements to take it there. Yesterday, I donated it to a locela charity through Vehicles for Charity. I don't think my donation will amount to much, but I don't have to pay to have it towed away, and one of my favorite organizations might get a few hundred bucks out of the deal. I can also write off the contribution. Just that one bit of movement has gotten me more energized to let go of stuff. Music and recording equipment I no longer use or need? Gone! My dad's remaining book collection that I have no interest in reading? Gone! Every piece of paper I've collected in the past eleven years? Gone? The purge isn't limited to the actual world. My digital world is getting the treatment, too. I started by leaving the Facebook Groups I'm no longer interested in. And then added unsubscribing from email lists that I haven't opened messages from in over a year. I'm already feeling a big shift from those last two. The number of times my phone buzzes with email notifications has been cut drastically. My focus has improved, and I'm getting more done. Tad Hargrave at Marketing for Hippies and Tosha Silver, who wrote It's Not Your Money are both advocates for starting any process of creating or attracting new opportunities with a thorough house cleaning. I can now understand the wisdom of this. #organizing #decluttering #cleaningmotivation --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/franklin-taggart9/message

Going with the flow and getting out of the hustle, and why self love is a CRUCIAL part of reaching your goals and getting the things you desire. (Scroll to the bottom for show notes) Last Monday, I decided to take a couple of weeks off from social media and the constant posting. I listened to an Abraham Hicks podcast about putting time between the asking of the question and the answer, and it really shifted how I see things. The episode talked about that as humans we go around all day and ask questions and expect an immediate answer. But things need to line up for us to understand the answer and items need to be put in place so the answer we receive makes sense. I've been working on this online business for a long time and I've learned SO much and come so far, but because I tend to look forward (and let's be honest, constantly compare myself to people who are “more successful” than me), my vibration isn't lined up with what I want and I stay stuck. I also had a psychic reading with my friend Tana, and she told me my guides are basically asking me to pause and settle for a bit. They said that if I can rest in where I can be of service RIGHT NOW, the answers that are eluding me will come. And also that I need to calm my vibration and get into the receiving mode. After listening to this podcast and the reading I had with Tana, I decided to go with the flow and chill for a little while. And already answers have been showing themselves to me. I don't know what to do with them just yet, but I know if I relax into them it will start to make sense. I also decided to sit tight and revel in all of the amazing things I have RIGHT now, and the ways I am able to serve. So while it's not my dream business yet… it is on its way and I have a lot of amazing blessings in my current physical reality. I am also already serving and helping a lot of people. I have been so focused on creating content consistently (as in, daily… sometimes even multiple times a day) the magic of my particular message gets lost and sacrificed for content output. And while it may feel like that's how we hack the algorithm, I think it's actually super counter productive for soul aligned businesses. Because your soul clients can feel what's missing, even if they can't quite name it. And now a life changing book that brought me to do this episode... "It's Not Your Money" by Tosha Silver on here, but I AM OBSESSED. I am also really becoming “anti manifestation” culture (although maybe I don't need to be anti anything). I know vision boards and writing down exactly what you want works for a lot of people, and maybe there's a place and energy type for it. But for me, it feels exhausting, and like I'm constantly telling the universe exactly what I want (but let's be real, I'm not entirely sure exactly what I want), not receiving it, stressing about it... and the universe is over here like" DUDE maybe that's not what you're meant to have." INYM is all about surrendering to the divine flow so God can use you however he sees fit, and how to become a conduit for source. Let go of the tunnel vision and open yourself up to the divine flow. This was a huge "aha" moment that's helped me recognize the need to go with the flow. I really want to let go of societies idea of “success”. We've been taught for decades to work as hard as you possibly can and what you want will come. But so often, that completely goes against the law of attraction. When you're focused so much on what you don't have and beating your head against the wall to try and make it happen, you actually push it further away from you. This is true for the old adage of “work hard and things will come to you” as well as “ask for every fucking specific thing, or the universe will be confused”. And in the words of Tosha Silver… as if the all knowing Goddess herself doesn't know what you need. NOW... Here's my tips for you, wonderful reader!
This episode is a special treat, essentially an opportunity to listen in on a Business Besties phone call between Serena and the magnificent Melanie Childers, coach to feminist badasses burning down the patriarchy. Melanie talks about FAILURE (as in, she's lost track of how much failure her multiple 6-figure success is sitting on) as well as the ability to get back up and keep going. One email, launch, offer, moment isn't going to make or break your business. It's about the difference you're making. When you're connected to that you are unstoppable. Serena and Melanie discuss getting started in coaching for trade, the scary parts of podcasting, and each other's incredible superpowers… you'll have to listen for the full scoop but here are the highlights: -Law of attraction's “high vibe” mentality isn't sustainable, and you do NOT have to keep yourself in a forced high vibe in order to receive BIG Happy Money -When “only” a few people show up to your event, this is an opportunity to treat it like a private party, not a pity party -The only way to integrate what you learn is ACTION -Show up for your audience/listeners/followers even though you're afraid of messing up -Whatever you have to offer will be valuable even if it's imperfect You can get the full Melanie + Serena origin story on Melanie's Bad Bitch Entrepreneur podcast: https://www.melaniechilders.com/collaboration-rising-together-with-serena-hicks/ And find Melanie on Instagram at https://instagram.com/melaniechilderscoaching and get the scoop on the Bad Bitch Mastermind on her website https://melaniechilders.com/mastermind! How to handle your spiritual development when people around you don't understand. (Scroll to the bottom for the show notes) Growing and other's around you are triggered? Keep reading. Hello, loves! A lot of my client's come to me and say “I'm growing, and it feels really good. But then I have someone in my life who kinda pulls me down, or they struggle with the newer version of myself, and it drags me back down into previous habits.” So the question is… How do I grow when people I love and care about around me aren't growing? (Or at least, aren't growing at a similar pace) You've probably heard that everyone is a mirror. Everyone you encounter in your life is an opportunity to see something inside yourself that you still need to heal. And while I believe this to be absolutely true… I also believe that people (especially stagnant people… and there's no shame in that it's just their journey) hold us up to the version of us they know best. So if you have a lot of people in your life that met you a while back before you began to grow, (I believe) they have that version of you burned subconsciously in their heads. When you start to do things differently, it triggers them. And sometimes, their response triggers YOU. This may make you want to fall back into that old version of you to keep them happy or keep the peace. I'm here to tell you… DON'T. I'm working through a really powerful book right now, called It's Not Your Money by Tosha Silver. And while it's about letting go of money hangups, I think this part is very relevant here. There's a prayer I say every day, and part of it is “let everything that needs to go, go. Let everything that needs to come, come.” And this applies to growth alongside people as well. People are in our lives, almost as a contract. When you meet someone, they might stay for 5 minutes or 50 years, but I believe there was a predetermined contract of how long and what lessons would be exchanged. But as humans, we tend to cling to people for numerous reasons… self identification, ego, fear, worthiness… and sometimes we hold on far longer than we need to. What I'm saying is… grow anyway. The people that are meant for you will stick around. Those who aren't will fall away. It is all for your highest good, so don't you dare censor your growth one bit. Now you might be thinking, ”That's great Jen. But what about my mom? What about my husband?” This can be far more challenging. This often requires tools (and probably more contracted lessons) rather than letting these people fall away. (Although I will say, no one DESERVES access to you just because they're blood.) Let's talk growing around family and partners. So let's say you've cleaned house… let go of old friends who no longer serve you, invited new ones in who are more aligned… and you're left with a husband who thinks your nuts and a mom who wishes you could “just be the way you used to be.” Da da da DAAAA! Enter: TOOLS. Here's 5 things to stop drop and do in the face of your growth challenging someone you love: Practice compassion. Remember that they love you, from where they are and in the capacity they know. The more compassionate you are, the more it will rub off onto them and help THEIR healing process, as well as yours.Let go of responsibility. No matter how much you love someone, you are not responsible for them. Not their lives, not their feelings… none of it. So let it go. You can either remind yourself or directly tell them “I'm doing me, so I can be better for everyone around me. I'm sorry if that triggers you, but this is my journey. I love you and I support your journey.”Release attachment. Another powerful lesson from the book I'm reading… aparigraha (non attachment, non clinging, non grasping). Release attachment to the outcome, to how you “THINK” things should be. All of it. Love them but don't attach to them. I think this is one of the hardest lessons as humans.

Today we're talking all about Akashic Records. This may be the most requested topic to date! First, what are the Akashic Records? According to the Records themselves, they are from another, higher dimension called the Akasha. Our guest Hilary Pearlson, an Akashic Records Reader and Healing Guide says: “The Akashic Records are a vibrational record of every Soul and its journey, containing all past, present, and future possibilities. Once reserved only for mystics, saints, and scholars, the Records are now available to everyone, providing the wisdom, guidance, and support we need in this lifetime. Everything that has life force has an Akashic Record and there are infinite questions to ask your Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones to experience empowering and transformational insights on your journey.” Hilary is also the founder of The Dreamerie, a supportive space offering readings, courses, and immersion programs to guide you in aligning with your path and purpose through the Akashic Records. For over ten years, she has drawn on her own courageous health journey to fulfill her mission of helping you heal, shift, and transform into your truest self. BTW - last year I bought Hilary's course on reading the records. If you're interested in experiencing an energetic realignment, in receiving the answers you are seeking, and connecting into this source of infinite knowledge this course is for you. I was so curious about incorporating the practice and found the course to be incredibly supportive. Pouring positive ideas, thoughts, stories, etc., into our minds via podcasts, audiobooks, videos, and music, is healing, induces hope, and catalyzes a plan to exit situations that deplete, depress, and paralyze us.
