We welcome Wieger back finally, after chatting to him way back at the start of 2023. His best selling Appleslice model is being renewed for the 3rd Version and so it seemed like a great excuse to rope him back in. I'm sure we did discuss the new board at least a little bit but as always its the ramblings in other directions that made this chat so much fun once again. Great guy, great brand - we hope you enjoy this one. And if you haven't listened to the first episode we did with Wieger way back when, its well worth a listen Appletree seems to have gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months and Wieger gives us a run down on how the companies changed in the background and whats been going on. We're incredibly pleased to announce we've booked flights to the AWSI event in Hood River later in 2024, and we look forward to chilling with a beer with the Appletree crew there! If you're enjoying what we're doing and feel up to supporting us in anyway, check out buymeacoffee.com/gfpodcast. All funds are going straight towards our trip as well as investing in any new equipment to make sure we can get plenty content while we're out there!

Welcome back to a week with Liam and Freddie! We catch up on a busy couple of weeks after our last two episodes released were interviews. Check out Episodes 19 and 20 with Wieger from Appletree boards and Rob Claisse from Progression instructional kite and foil coaching - these were both great chats and very well recieved by those who have listened already. We've had three wing sessions and a couple of Prone sessions in the time since these episodes were released, and theres plenty to dissect from them! Liams got himself a blank from the boys over at Swift Foilboards and is pretty dang excited to get it glassed up properly and in the water asap. We spend some time discussing the safety concerns of surfers around foiling most specifically in Cornwall. Again we're completely out of our depth with the finer details of the discussion, but after some messages to and fro with Tom Earl down in Newquay it became apparent that there may be an issue forming that may explode in the near future. This lead us on to wondering whether we should be reaching out and chatting to those who are concerned at the likes of the RNLI over here in the UK - we wonder what their take is on the discipline so far, and how do we train the public in how to react when they see something new like a foil in the water? Until next week - we hope everyone gets out in the water! there looks to be wind and swell on the cards over here for the UK while it also stays super cold before spring kicks in.... check us out on @genericfoilingpodcast on instagram and Facebook, and follow us on whichever podcast platform you use!
Did God give us authority over animals? Does the betterment of animal welfare justify their death? Does sustainably really matter? Is ignorance good enough? Would you save a child or a lamb? Can you offset immorality? Does masculinity affect morality? Maybe looking into how masculinity affects how a person treats animals isn't top of the list of world priorities. But if half the population are less likely to stop eating animals, then maybe it's something to talk about. The way we are raised seems to be the biggest factor relating to how we think and how we behave later in life. So, why aren't you vegan? Thanks to Brad and Wieger for giving me their time and thanks for listening, H x“The stupidest thing anyone can do is think that there's nothing left to learn.”
A great episode for those of you interested in the nitty gritty side of board design and the best in the business production methodology. Wieger is the Co-founder and head shaper for Appletree Surfboards. In this episode he explains how Appletree set themselves apart from the competition and came to manufacture boards with their vacuum infusion production process and why this is so suitable for both the kite surfboards, for which they first became well known, and PERFECT for any foil board which needs to be light, stiff and durable. Wieger talks us through the origins and growth of his company and brand and how the explosion of foiling disciplines has affected the operations and future outlook of the business. Why did they move the entire production process to Portugal and stay in the EU? He details their environmental motivations and successes which Appletree aims to maximise by not only producing their own product in house but bringing production back from Asia for other brands too. They aim to improve the quality of kit on the market overall. Liam pushes to find out Wieger's thoughts on some argueably marketing driven design features from other brands over the years as well as how he balances the inputs into his brand's designs.....How much do you take into consideration customer demands? how much do you take into consideration pro rider feedback? and how much do you follow your instincts and personal feedback as a designer? 52 min - Discussing Appletrees move to building their own unique foilboxes having invested in their own injection moulding tooling 1hr 17 min - what's Appletree got coming for 2023? 1hr 19 min - Downwind chat 1hr 28 min - does weight matter in boards? Go give us a like and a follow on instagram and facebook, and rate us 5 stars!! @genericfoilingpodcast thegenericfoilingpod@gmail.com for all enquiries and feedback See you all next week!

Near-Term Human Extinction (NTHE) Hospice Conversation with Wieger Reddingius, held on Mar. 8, 2020.Many thanks to Weiger for his participation in this NTHE Hospice Conversation! Some of the topics discussed include...- Human thinking and behaviour as an inescapable catalyst to extinction.- The grief process that leads towards eventual acceptance for the loss of human habitat.- Humans being entirely dependent on nature, but living in denial of the facts (culture vs. nature).- Developing a environmental collapse mindset that doesn't drain motivation to live.- Humans having unusual privilege in the animal kingdom.- Hospice as a time-limited luxury. To watch the Youtube video of this same conversation, go here... https://www.youtube.com/user/FreeMarketer2009/videosThe Near-Term Human Extinction Hospice Conversation is geared towards openly expressing thoughts and feelings about NTHE after being informed and learning about the subject. The conversation is intended to be different from many of the other conversations about NTHE that typically focus on (or debate) the technical details of the subject rather than addressing the internal human experience that inevitably occurs as the realities of NTHE are understood. The conversation is being offered as an experiment to provide easily accessible forms of emotional refuge (or hospice) at a pivotal point in human history. If you are interested in having one of these conversations with Peter, you can apply at this page... http://breakawaymhe.com/nthe-hospice-conversation-w-peter-miller-the-booking-process/
Korsair Streetwear was founded on the principals of "Know Love", that what we have been taught and seen through the media and movies is a warped and diluted meaning of the word LOVE. We aim to create a worldwide community that supports and drives each other, in the pursuit and manifestation of the passions in our heart. "X Marks The Spot!"
Of lekker sporten? Kortom: keuzes, keuzes, keuzes.

On this edition of Next on the Tee Golf Podcast I'm joined by TaylorMade Golf CEO David Abeles, former PGA Tour Caddy Andy Lano II, and LPGA Class A Teaching Professional Sue Wieger. David Abeles shares his thoughts on the US Open and the great pitch shot Gary Woodland hit on the 17th hole using their new Hi Toe Wedge. We talked about the great seasons their players like Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm, and Rickie Fowler are having. We also talked about the great innovation and technology behind their Hi Toe wedges, new Spider X putters, and what they're working on next. Andy Lano II talked about his years caddying on Tour for Kenny Perry and what it's like being inside the ropes for events like The Masters and the Ryder Cup. He shared his memories from being on the bag for Michelle Wie when she competed against the men at the 2006 84 Lumber Classic. He also talked about his company Golf Mastery (www.golfmastery.net) and how he's helping golfers of all levels improve the strategy of playing the game. Sue Wieger is a fantastic golf Instructor and Coach. She's written a wonderful book titled: "Golf, The Last 6 Inches, Change Your Brain, Change Your Game". In it she talks about how to change your thought process to change your outcomes. We talk about "flushing" the bad thoughts or bad shots so we don't carry them to our next swing or our next hole. We also discussed all the negative self-talk we do and how flip your thought process from what not to do to what we want to have happen.

Annelies Jonkers maakt tijdloze folk muziek. Songwriters Guild Live is a weekly radioshow in Amsterdam, focussed on singers who write songs. This week your host was Ro Halfhide.

A good practice session with Mike Wieger. I think Mike is a great blogger, Can't wait to begin working with him. Would have put up the video, but had resolution problems. Next week we have a special show with Carl Fismer, the great Deep sea treasure hunter.
It is not often that the media takes it listeners and now viewers on the journey of reinvention with them. We've been doing that now for about three weeks. We've reduced the hour show to 1/2 hour while the studio undergoes its summer long renovation into a modern day video studio. We've had our ups and downs with producing the show. Adding the video equipment and the corresponding tech and still meeting I Heart Radio standards has been more challenging than we thought it would be. Wayne, our engineer is now spending nearly 20 hours a day in the padded room – (not prison or a place for mental disability, but the studio). Not withstanding our bandwidth issues, we did manage to get a videoYak On!
