POPULARITY
Today on Too Opinionated, we chat with actress Abby Trott! After getting her start in voiceover while living in Japan, Trott has made a name for herself in the anime genre. She is perhaps best known as the English dub voice of the female lead Nezuko Kamado in the wildly popular series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. After her family is murdered by the demon Muzan Kibutsuji and Nezuko is turned into a demon herself, her only surviving brother Tanjiro sets off on a mission to turn his sister back into a human. Throughout the journey, Nezuko's incredible strength and resilience becomes clear as she is able to resist the temptation of human blood and step out into the sunlight. Her special abilities draw the attention of Muzan, who is determined to get Nezuko and acquire her unique power for himself. The series is streaming now on Hulu, Netflix and Crunchyroll. In addition, she reprised her fan-favorite role in the box office hit film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train, which is available now on Crunchyroll. Trott can also be heard as the lead in the popular Netflix series DanDaDan. She voices Momo Ayase, a no-nonsense high schooler who meets Ken Takakura, another student at her school who is obsessed with the occult and aliens. They challenge each others' beliefs, and in the process they encounter both ghosts and aliens, awakening Momo's psychic powers and getting Ken (now nicknamed Okarun) possessed in the process which leads to some ridiculous paranormal encounters. Season 2 is set to premiere in July 2025. Other voiceover credits include: Nickelodeon's All-Star Brawl, Carmen Sandiego, X-Men ‘97, My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999, Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase, Rock Paper, Scissors, Gamera: Rebirth, The Casagrandes, The Seven Deadly Sins and The Croods: Family Tree. Abby has an extensive video game resume including voicing Wonder Woman in Multiversusus, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, Star Trek: Resurgence, LEGO Fortnite, Fire Emblem, Persona 5 Royal, Nier: Automata. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training (Japanese: 鬼滅の刃 柱稽古編, Hepburn: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Geiko-hen), also known simply as Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training, is a 2024 Japanese animated dark fantasy action film based on the "Swordsmith Village" and "Hashira Training" arcs of the 2016–20 manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge. It is a direct sequel to the third season of the anime television series as well as its third film adaptation, following Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (2020) and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village (2023). The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki and written by Ufotable staff members.[4] Similarly to the Swordsmith Village film adaptation, To the Hashira Training acts as a compilation film to the anime television series, incorporating fully the last episode of the third season and the first episode of the fourth season, which was broadcast later in the same year, as well as an edited summary using footage of previous episodes at the beginning.[5] Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training was released in Japan on February 2, 2024, by Toho and Aniplex. Like its predecessors, the film received generally positive reviews and has grossed $44 million worldwide.[6][7] A sequel film trilogy set after the previous events of the fourth season, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle, is in development.

Da Binge Bois return to talk about Demon Slayer season 3 and give our thoughts on how the journey is unfolding thus far. All of Da Bois agree that for some reason the season feels as though it is dragging on and feels as though nothing of consequence has really occurred so far. The Tanjiro hate continues for another season as we admit he can't get anything done without a Hashira super team. Muichiro has his origin story revealing a tragic past and brother who died, but how many times can the series use flashbacks before it gets obnoxious instead of touching? IDK find out this review or reaction thing. Series Synopsis: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. For this week's episode, we are joined by Emmy-nominated voice actress Jessica DiCiccio, best known for her roles in It's Pony, The Mighty B!, Winx Club, the Muppet Babies, Adventure Time, Close Enough, and Loud House. Jessica's impressive credentials span across the board, from anime, video games, live action, and feature films, including the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train. Join us as Jessica and I talk about a whole spectrum of topics, starting with her storied journey to becoming a voice actress! She also shares how becoming a parent has changed the way she works plus some anecdotes about her roles. AniThree - New Year, New Three? Welcoming the year with four digits, new animes and award shows!Doug and his friends will come together to spill the tea:Podcast Life-An update on the status of the podcast, Happy New Year!-We share our New Year's memories and provide a glimpse of what we've been doing at the year's start!-Renee shares an update on the status of her art!-Doug and Renee discuss an upcoming giveaway to celebrate reaching 1500 downloads and our one-year anniversary, thanks for listening everyone!-We review listener questions and answer some questions, stay tuned for our responses or lack thereof!Anime-The group shares the animes they've been watching this new year:--We finished "Mieruko-chan" per the recommendation of Renee, sharing our anime opinions while we shade Funimation over streaming issues. (PLEASE FIX IT FUNIMATION, #KBYETHX!)--For Anime of the Year, we settle on Jujutsu Kaisen (cour 2), obviously! (because we haven't finished Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1 yet, duh!)--For Best Boy, it's hard to say but we all settle on either Senku Ishigami from Dr. STONE and Izumi Miyamura from Horimiya!--For Best Girl, we chose Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket The Final Season, Nobara Kugisaki and Jujutsu Kaisen (cour 2) and Shoko Komi from Komi Can't Communicate!--For Best Protagonist, we chose Yuji Itadori! (because we haven't watched the other shows/we don't talk about WONDER EGG PRIORITY)--For Best Antagonist, we chose Tomura Shigaraki from My Hero Academia Season 5 and Echidna from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2 (which doesn't make sense because she is clearly a misunderstood protagonist)--For Best Fight, we chose Yuji Itadori & Aoi Todo vs. Hanami and Vivy vs. Yugo Kakitani (FOR OBJECTIVE REASONS, VIVY SHOULD WIN BUT WHATEVER)--For Best Animation, we chose Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibu Mugen Train Arc and Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- (STILL SO GOOD WITHOUT A MOVIE'S BUDGET)--For Best Opening, we chose Kaibutsu by YOASOBI from BEASTARS (clearly, the best opening) and VIVID VICE by Who-ya Extended from Jujutsu Kaisen (cour 2) (BECAUSE OF BIAS, OBVIOUSLY)--For Best Film, we chose Belle, the rightful winner but for "emotional value", Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train!Conclusion:-Happy one-year anniversary to us, can't believe we made it, don't know how we got here but thank you all!Credits:(Cloudy and New Day ) by KODOMOi (https://soundcloud.com/kodomoimusic)Creative Commons - Attribution 3.0 Unported - CC BY 3.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...)Music promoted by Music Panda - Vlog No Copyright Free MusicVideo Link: https://youtu.be/jmuJp29d57QPlease email us any recommendations to anithreepodcast@gmail.comInstagram: anithreepodcastRenee's sticker shop: hanikostudiosSupport the show (https://buymeacoffee.com/anithreepodcast)

After reviewing the first season of the anime in last week's show, we're back to review Demon Slayer ~Kimetsu no Yaiba~ The Movie: Mugen Train, the highest-grossing film in the history of Japan, and one that's already making waves after its debut in North American theaters this weekend. It was both of our first trips back to a movie theater in over a year, since the start of the pandemic, and we couldn't have picked a better film, because Mugen Train is an outstanding movie, not just as an ongoing part of the Kimetsu no Yaiba story, but on its own merits, and breaking it all down makes for one of the richest movie discussions we've ever had. Before that, we also talk about recent updates to The Weekly Stuff Podcast's new YouTube channel, discuss Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer, and Sean tells us about finally playing Resident Evil VII ahead of the upcoming Resident Evil VILLage.
