    Ivy Insights

The Hella Latin@ podcast is, without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite podcasts. From the moment I started listening, I immediately felt a deep connection to the conversations that took place on this show. Hosted by the incredible Jasmine, this podcast delves into beautiful and powerful discussions that truly leave a lasting impact.

One of the best aspects of The Hella Latin@ podcast is the way it tells stories from the Latin@ community. While you don't have to be of Latin@ heritage to enjoy this podcast, the stories shared are relatable and applicable to anyone. Jasmine's lens brings an intellectual savvy to these conversations that adds depth and thoughtfulness. It truly is hella dope.

Jasmine herself is an amazing and powerful storyteller. Through her interviews with guests, she sheds light on various aspects of the Latin community, allowing listeners like myself to learn so much about a culture that may be unfamiliar to us. Each episode leaves me eagerly anticipating how this lovely podcast will continue to blossom in future episodes.

I recently listened to the first episode of The Hella Latin@ podcast, and I absolutely loved it! The conversation was engaging and enlightening as it explored what it means to be latinx and celebrated the diversity within our experiences. I'm already eagerly awaiting the next episode and those that follow!

Another great aspect of this podcast is its ability to create a sense of community among listeners. After discovering Jasmine through a Boss babe community, I am grateful for her heartfelt storytelling. In particular, when she mentioned being afraid of being left at school like her siblings - something I also experienced - it brought tears to my eyes knowing that others share similar experiences. This sense of solidarity is incredibly powerful and makes me even more excited for what's to come in future episodes.

While there aren't any noticeable worst aspects of The Hella Latin@ podcast, it's important to note that not every episode may resonate with everyone. Personal preferences and interests differ, so there may be episodes that don't captivate every listener in the same way. However, with the range of topics and stories covered, there is something for everyone to appreciate.

In conclusion, The Hella Latin@ podcast is a gem in the world of podcasts. Jasmine's ability to tell meaningful stories and engage in powerful conversations creates an incredible listening experience. Whether you're part of the Latin@ community or not, this podcast offers a unique perspective and a deeper understanding of culture and experiences. I highly recommend giving it a listen and watching as it continues to grow and flourish in its storytelling journey.

Melany del Carpio is a first-generation, first-born Peruvian-American who is deeply committed to empowering women of color to thrive and be unapologetically themselves in the face of societal and capitalist pressures. With eight years of experience in higher education, she made a pivotal career transition into the tech industry in 2022. Throughout her career journey, Melany has faced significant challenges, including reaching a breaking point that required her to take medical leave and reclaim her power from a toxic work environment. This transformative experience has become the foundation of her passion: supporting others in achieving success while maintaining their well-being, free from the weight of overwork and unrealistic expectations. Melany is dedicated to helping others set boundaries, reclaim their rest, and define success on their own terms, empowering them to become who they are meant to be without compromise. In this week's episode, Melany shares exactly why rest is resistance. We all have these overwhelming expectations put on us, and it feels like the end of the world if we don't meet them. Our families immigrated here for a better life, and we don't want to even think of the possibility of letting them down. But Melany's story reminds us that while their journey was a brave one, it is brave for us to live our own lives on our own terms, too. And if that means letting go of their dreams for us and getting the rest our body needs, so be it.  Keep up with Melany on her website and LinkedIn @melanydelcarpio  For all Hella Latin@ updates, follow @hellalatinopodcast on Instagram and connect on LinkedIn.
