Organic traffic still works. It's not that I thought it didn't, but in many ways, I think I had resigned myself to thinking it was so much harder than it used to be.In some ways, it is harder, but in other ways, we have so many tools at our fingertips (AI) that there's no reason you can't test and try things much faster. You can get data in 90 days that will tell you what's working.Depending on how long you've been online (i.e., you're not starting from scratch), you may get results much faster. For me, I've seen some pretty fun results in only a few weeks.Let's get into it.After 16 years online, you would think I would have learned to “never say never”… but here I am, changing my tune.Fortunately, I'm pretty transparent about these little lessons I go through and have no shame in sharing that I've changed my mind.Ideally, when we know better, we do better, right?Mind you, things change so quickly online (especially with AI now) that we better learn to be comfortable changing our minds and trying new things (once we have the fundamentals in place, anyway). The best part of what I'm experiencing right now is that this is all happening because of ONE thing. And I'm on a mission to help you figure out your ONE thing. And no, this doesn't mean you only have ‘one thing' in your business (I'm speaking to all of you multi-passionate entrepreneurs who, bless you, can manage multiple offers, directions, or businesses).I'm talking about starting with one core content idea that is part of your foundation. For Now, Let's Call This “One To Many.”Let me back up a bit and explain how this relates to organic traffic still works.I won't go too deep into my journey, as I've shared it multiple times on the podcast. You can get a snapshot of that on my About page.Over the last 16 years, I spent the first 10 years as ‘The WordPress Chick,' pivoted to my personal brand, started focusing on content marketing, launched a content planner (with a strategy, not a fill-in-the-blank), added email marketing and newsletters to the mix, and have come back to content marketing as my core focus. My ‘complementary' categories to content marketing are email & newsletters and using AI for content marketing. Now, let's talk a bit about social media.Which I've always had a love/hate relationship with.Because of the clarity I've gained with my ONE thing (for now, let's call it Core Content), I've jumped back in full force and am happily gaining some traction and, thankfully, traffic.I attribute the results I'm getting to a few things:Not starting from scratchHaving a presence on most platforms (regardless of recent engagement)LOVING what I'm doing againThis isn't to say you can't start from scratch and get results because, of course, you can.It just might take a little longer. But here's the thing: time is going to pass whether you do the work or not, so you may as well do it now.And the work I'm referring to is creating, publishing, and promoting your content.Which will always differentiate you from people who want to do things quickly and easily. Especially with AI…I LOVE using AI in my business – but I also know what I'm doing, who I'm talking to, how I want to serve them, and what my business goals are.I'm not under any illusion that AI can replace my voice. What it can do is help me...

In this episode we're talking about something that's a bit of content marketing “chestnut” – there was a time whenever you saw a content marketer on a speaker lineup, they talked about this… but, while we've touched on it in numerous ways, and we've done a couple of interviews with people who are doing this… we've never actually done a show, just you and I, dedicated to this idea… That “ol' chestnut” your hosts, Suzi Dafnis and Michelle Falzon are talking about is “Repurposing Content”  and in this episode they explain why repurposing is not just taking a blog post and turning it into 5 social posts and 3 videos. Instead see how you can create less CORE content and reimagine it in ways that are strategic and conversion-focused. Listen to This Episode to Hear More About: -> The ONE thing you need to know about EVERY single piece of content you create. -> Why no matter how efficient your content creation is, if you're missing one important ingredient, chances are you're working too hard making content that's not turning into results for you. -> How to originate your Core Content in the format that suits you - so you actually LOVE creating content and it's EASY! -> The difference between IP and Core Content (and how much of each you need). -> Why you're probably over-investing in Core Content and why that's keeping you exhausted. -> How to use more Content Bridges to leverage just a few pieces of Core Content for even better results! -> And much more! What you will learn from this episode: The three pillars of trust and key elements for your brand messaging  The importance of repeating your core content and expressing your value uniquely Essential topics that resonate with your audience and inspire engagement Deep-dive into buyer psychology and decision-making process Powerful messaging to show empathy and tackling objections   Captivating video content has emerged as a powerful method to engage audiences and drive client appointments and business growth. By understanding your audience, you can use compelling topics and storytelling to create videos that attract and help retain clients. Remember, the messaging is key. It's not just about knowing your value, but expressing it in a way that resonates with your audience.    Unleash the Power of Video Messaging: Join me, April Meese, as I guide beauty professionals on a transformative journey to attract more clients through video content messaging, igniting the three pillars of trust and building client connection for more sales.. So tune in, learn, and get ready to take your beauty business to the next level!   Topics Covered: [00:00:56] - The Rising Influence of Video Content [00:04:14] - Building Trust Through Messaging [00:08:58] - The Power of Repetition and Core Content [00:10:54] - What Topics to Talk About & Expressing Value [00:13:00] - Special Messaging Examples & Case Studies [00:15:46] - Defining Your Brand Message [00:16:41] - Understanding Buyer Psychology [00:17:23] - Benefits of Going Live [00:18:48] - Call to Action: Time to Go Live!   Key Takeaways:   "People buy when trust is high. Trust is three things. One, it's the trust in the service itself. So they believe that the service is the answer to their problem. The second thing is they believe that you are competent, obviously, in the service. And the third is trust in themselves. So for them, it might be that, are they making the right decision?" - April Meese   "When you are doing that many episodes and live videos and so forth, you feel like you've talked about it all, right? But here's the thing. One, new prospective clients are coming across your brand and are just finding out about this solution and are trying to get answers to their problems. And then the other thing is that sometimes you might have said it, but they need to hear it in a new or different way. They need to hear it again." - April Meese "When people are buying, I always say that they go through this process of, Why this? Why this solution? Why you? Why should I come to you, the service provider? Why now? Why should I get this now? And then the last one, that I rarely talk about unless I'm talking to my students is Why not?" - April Meese    "They need to know that you understand them and their problem, and so you have to talk about that more." - April Meese

TLDR: buy the book! Addictions case manager and former addict Jean-Paul (JP) Michael reached out to addiction psychiatrist Dr. Wiplove (Wip) Lamba this week, seeking info on CRAFT (Community Reinforcement, And Family Training). Seeing there was an audiobook, he started reading the version for family members. (Wip and JP currently prefer audiobooks to paper). For substance use disorders care, we usually focus on the individual. The family is kept separate. Robert Meyers, a psychologist and scientist out of New Mexico developed the CRAFT model so that the family member can help the loved one get sober. There are three main goals to craft. 1. Help reduce your loved ones substance use 2. Help move them towards treatment 3. Improve your life whether or not someone stops using substances. This week we brought back TieGuyTravis of IGN fresh off of his Beyond Light review. He gave it a 7 and we discuss why of which we mostly agree. This expansion brought some cool things to the game, but also highlighted some of the glaring issues as we enter another year of the franchise. Deep Stone Crypt deep dive, full spoilers and impressions are here. Amazing music, cool encounters, fun design and cool store and lore. More unlocked after the raid to do, but some of the game isn't in a great place right now. We hope you enjoy this episode because we had a blast recording this one. See you soon. This week I'm joined by Mel Daniels of Meld Business Services. Mel is an incredible content strategist, business coach and mum.Mel's purpose is to teach and empower women who want more from their business, on how to use content in a genuine way. She gives them the confidence they need to become more visible, seen as the expert that they are and be inspired to take their business to the next level.I'm a huge advocate and true believer in the importance of content. I always say, the two most important things I do in my business are; creating valuable content & cracking coaching!A lot of people think of content as the post or images we place on our social media, but it's so much more than that. It's basically anything you put out into the world that represents you. In Mel's words, content is the mechanism that takes a client on a journey with you. And yes it's typically a relationship we're looking to develop with our content, vs a straight sale. It's a process, just like any relationship, that begins with nothing and over time can develop into something profound and strong.Mels five phases of the client journey are;ConnectSubscribeNurtureConvertOnboardAnd it's our content that facilitates an experience with us at every phase.By using it strategically and purposefully you'll meet your audience where they're at!Feel overwhelmed because you don't know where to start? Don't worry you're not alone..... tune in to discover Mels hot tips on how she helps some of her customers overcome these hurdles.Discover Mel's services;https://www.meldbusinessservices.com.au/ Please let me know how this episode connects with you. Adam believes strongly in education technology, but in that order. He loves to share his tips, tools and thoughts through his blog “Edtech Elixirs” and his YouTube channel (which combined currently have over a quarter million views), and is a frequent presenter at both international and regional conferences. Adam began as an English classroom teacher, eventually earning Teacher of the Year at South Oldham High School in 2009 and becoming National Board Certified in 2013. His belief in the impact of educational technology started with literature circle student podcasts. Not only did the students receive responses from authors of the books, but young adults as far away as China let them know their podcasts were a part of their own classroom experiences. The project led Adam and his students to the cover of Kentucky Teacher in April 2009 and coverage by NCTE. In 2014, a Core Content-aligned unit on “Shakespeare and Star Wars” culminated in a Skype Q & A with a New York Times best-selling author, Adam’s unit materials hosted on multiple sites, and a mention in Star Wars Insider in April 2015. In 2014, Adam became Shelby County Public School’s first Technology Integration Coach; he is currently Shelby’s Digital Learning Coordinator. He was hired to help lead the staff professional development on blended learning as Shelby began its K-12 1:1 initiative. This led to the creation of a “Share Fair” conference model (presented by Shelby staff, but open for all to attend) that has been a popular annual event since 2015. Among other achievements while at Shelby, Adam was the writer and adapter of a digital citizenship district curriculum that annually spirals through five focus strands and consists of 65 non-repeating K-12 lessons. In 2019, Adam was awarded the KySTE Outstanding Leader of the Year award as recognition of his outreach and service. In addition to his educational work, Adam is also a writer of poetry and short stories who has also written, produced and directed stageplays and radio dramas. His wife and two daughters inspire him to continue learning and writing, and they are always willing to watch a Star Wars or Marvel movie with him if he asks nicely. What do you do after you've finished watching a great TV show? Go and find more content related to it, of course! This is why so many TV and radio shows offer companion content – live content that you publish immediately after publishing your core content. All the best TV shows are doing it and have been for years. Even reaction phone-ins on sports radio stations are a kind of companion content, and they're older than old! We've been surrounded by companion content for decades already, but digital content creators have yet to really catch on to this concept. I think that's going to change very soon, and I've got three ideas that you can use to start creating companion content today. In this episode, you can learn: What companion content is, with examples of it in practice How to create companion content in three different ways Why companion content is so useful for creators Important Links & Mentions: https://www.content10x.com/repurposing-twitter-chats-madalyn-sklar/ (Episode 59 of the Content 10x podcast) https://www.content10x.com/book/ (Content 10x book) https://www.patreon.com/ (Patreon) https://www.content10x.com/podcast/ (Content 10x podcast archive) To listen to this podcast episode, https://www.content10x.com/118 (click here).

Content Sells: Attract, Convert & Keep Your Ideal Clients with Content Marketing That Works

Creating good content takes time and effort. Writing a blog post, recording a video, preparing an eBook – whatever content you are creating, it can be really easy to assume that once you’ve published it you then need to move on to creating the next piece of content. But that’s a low-leverage approach to content marketing that is very likely to lead to burnout and spending unnecessary resources. The real power of content marketing happens when you systemise recycling and re-purposing your content. In this episode of the Content Sells Podcast, your hosts Suzi Dafnis and Michelle Falzon look at different ways you could be re-purposing your content and giving it new life across various media. Plus, included in this episode is a free download - The Content Re-Purposing Plan which will help you plan out your “Core Content” and systemise the various ways you can re-use that material to more effectively reach your audience.
