"Les Roches Rouges" do francês Bruno Dumont é produzido pela portuguesa Rosa Filmes, a obra rodada essencialmente no sudeste francês, perto de Cannes, aborda temas de uma infância neste cenário de escarpas vermelhas, junto ao Mar Mediterrâneo. A película estreia na Quinzena dos cineastas. O produtor Joaquim Sapinho comentou à RFIa obra e este certame, em curso até 23 de Maio. Temos o privilégio de acolher de novo o Joaquim Sapinho da Rosa Filmes. Boa tarde! Bem vindo a mais uma edição do Festival de Cinema de Cannes. Estamos juntos para falar, nomeadamente do filme "Les Roches Rouges" de Bruno Dumont, com quem já tinham colaborado no passado. E é a Rosa Films, então produtora principal por detrás desta obra. Exacto. Nós tínhamo-nos conhecido no "L'Empire" e éramos co-produtores e quando chegou a oportunidade de fazer este filme, lá estávamos nós a querer colaborar e a ajudar. Mas as dificuldades de produção do filme obrigaram nos a nós a passar a produtores principais, porque todas as dificuldades de dinheiro e também de coordenação.... O realizador queria filmar este verão que passou. E, pela primeira vez na história das relações cinematográficas dos dois países, fez-se um filme em França com uma equipa inteiramente portuguesa. É muito ao contrário, habitualmente !   É sempre ao contrário. Portanto, foi uma coisa absolutamente mágica. Quando nós tomamos conta da produção, ficou uma arquitectura com filmagem em França. Filmagem em Portugal é filmagem em Itália. Mas toda a produção é portuguesa e os outros "partners" italianos, franceses e espanhóis ficaram apenas a ajudar. Portanto, foi uma experiência única. Nós já tínhamos vivido esta experiência com o filme do Magalhães, que tinha rodagens em Portugal.   No ano passado !   Com filmagens em Espanha e tinha filmagens nas Filipinas e também do lado espanhol. Tinha corrido tudo mal. Mandámos a equipa portuguesa depois nas Filipinas também correu mal. Mandámos também a equipa portuguesa. Portanto, aqui foi o mesmo. Foi só continuar esta estratégia, Se os outros não conseguem fazer, nós conseguimos. E então o filme é de facto rodado essencialmente no sul de França, na região onde nós nos encontramos um bocadinho, também em Itália, mas também em Portugal !? O filme também teve uma parte rodado em Portugal e é sempre este prazer de fazermos filmes cosmopolitas em que quer à produção quer às histórias, retratam esta Europa que nós amamos e não apenas a ideia de nacionalismos em que toda a gente está separada.   Bruno Dumont que já teve também projectos cá em Cannes no passado, já teve prémios cá, por exemplo, com "La vie de Jésus", "L'Humanité". Agora é um filme muito sobre a infância ou sobre uma parte do litoral do sul de França, onde a fotografia tem um papel absolutamente descomunal ! Eu acho que é só olhar à volta no sítio onde estamos a fazer esta conversa aqui em Cannes e ver este mar esmeralda. O que é que há de tão especial em Saint Raphaël ? É que para lá do mar esmeralda há umas rochas vermelhas. O filme em português chama se "Escarpas Vermelhas". Encontramos um título muito bonito em francês "Les Roches Rouges". Porque, digamos, é este espaço mágico, esta jóia que é a cor azul. Mas do lado da infância. Ou seja, é um filme sobre crescer, sobre como é que se cresce. Sobre as violências de crescer e sobre os amores também. É um filme... Sobre o bem e o mal? O bem e o mal., mas é um rapaz e uma rapariga que estão apaixonados. Fazem uma escapadela para Itália no comboio, mas têm só cinco anos. Portanto, o que é fascinante aqui é que nós somos humanos, logo a partir do momento em que nascemos e começamos a crescer apaixonados e a viver riscos. Portanto, é um filme, como direi? A dizer que a vida é apaixonante e que vale a pena correr riscos. E não lhe parece que eles eram, de facto, todos bastante precoces ? Teriam cerca de cinco anos. Efectivamente viajam juntos. Ele, de forma muito fácil, acaba por passar por cima do portão para ir ter com a namorada. Ele está muito determinado, não é o rapaz? O Géo está determinado ! Ele está determinado. E o que é bonito é que porque é que o filme também é "Les Roches Rouges" ? Não é apenas uma questão plástica. É porque essas rochas são umas rochas em que em França se faz uns saltos muito arriscados. E ele está sempre a demonstrar o seu valor saltando dessas rochas vermelhas. Saltos para mergulho ! Para mergulhar e, portanto, é um filme que defende a ideia de viver como uma ideia apaixonada. É uma ideia em que não podemos, digamos, estar esmagados pelo medo para viver, mas de que é possível viver com intensidade. E aqui o americano Carlos Alfonso Coral deve ter tido um papel preponderante em relação à questão da imagem, de captar este litoral e estas escarpas vermelhas? Ele é um director muito sensível, muito poético, tem trabalhado essencialmente com o Roberto Minervino, que tem tido também os filmes aqui em Cannes. Mas e vive neste momento em Los Angeles. Ele é do México e, claro, ficou. Nunca tinha estado aqui na Côte d'Azur. E estas cores e esta dramaticidade do filme, evidentemente, permitiram-lhe a ele também responder, dando estas cores e essa dramaticidade ao cinema. Que sabor tem, então, esta estréia aqui na Quinzena dos Cineastas com este filme ? A Rosa Filmes, desde 2016 tem sempre um filme seleccionado em Cannes. Nem sei se haverá outra produtora no mundo ? Desde 2016, portanto vamos para 11 anos, não é? Todos os anos sempre um filme, e já tivemos vários filmes em que éramos nós os produtores principais, mas estes dois últimos também, quer com o Magalhães, com o Gael Garcia Bernal, realizado pelo Lav Diaz, quer agora com este filme do Bruno Dumont isto se repete. Portanto, não há outra palavra. É um prazer ! Eu acho que Cannes é um festival em que a paixão pelo cinema se sobrepõe a tudo, a todas as outras questões. E toda a gente se sente atraída por isto e, portanto, é o sítio certo para mostrar os filmes que nós fazemos. E a nossa imagem de marca também está ligada a Cannes. Então e esta septuagésima nona edição do Festival interessa-o ? Se sim, que mais lhe interessa aqui neste certame? Eu acho que há um realizador francês extraordinário. Eu acho que é o grande jovem realizador francês que é o Arthur Harari e é a sua terceira longa metragem. Também ganhou o Oscar de melhor Argumento no ano passado. Está em competição nas longas metragens, na selecção principal ! Sim, na selecção principal, nas longas metragens. E é esse filme de que foi argumentista ganhou também a Palma de Ouro há dois anos. Eu acho que o grande realizador francês agora da Nova geração é este filme. Será o filme mais entusiasmante para ver. Muitos filmes franceses, precisamente na competição, Se calhar mais do que é habitual, portanto, também se calhar provar a boa forma do cinema hexagonal, neste momento, o que é que acha ? Muitos filmes franceses e também muitos actores e actrizes franceses nos filmes estrangeiros. Exactamente. Até em filmes estrangeiros, japoneses, austríacos ! Portanto, é uma grande... Eu acho que a França é o centro do cinema europeu e pouco a pouco está a tornar-se também o centro do cinema, porque a gente vê que os Óscares estão a copiar o modelo. Este modelo europeu de Cannes e portanto temos todos que nos adaptar uns aos outros. Mas dá me a impressão que este nosso modelo do cinema europeu que tem como centro a França e Cannes, é o que está mais vivo neste momento. E finalmente, o cinema português. No meio desta dinâmica toda, como é que o vê nesta altura? Eu bem sei que é sempre complicado. É sempre a mesma dificuldade de acesso a financiamentos. No entanto, surgem sempre propostas que vão singrando internacionalmente, não é?   Dou-lhe o meu exemplo vou filmar este ano em África. Fazer um filme sobre Angola. Eu acho que vai ser o primeiro filme em que um português vai fazer o ponto de vista do outro ponto de vista dos movimentos de independência e não um filme nostálgico sobre "Ah, que pena, Portugal perdeu África". Há uns filmes que são mais engraçados a falar desse assunto, outros mais dramáticos, outros mais melancólicos. Eu não estou interessado nisso. Estou interessado é o "como é que foi este conflito e qual é o ponto de vista do outro" ? E, portanto, vou fazer um filme pela primeira vez sobre como é que os movimentos de independência se confrontavam connosco. Mas o meu ponto de vista ainda é mais complexo. Esse confronto connosco era de portugueses com portugueses. Toda a gente tinha o mesmo bilhete de identidade. Portanto, tentar ter um ponto de vista que ajude a que Portugal possa viver com o seu passado, de outra maneira.   E vão rodar também na África Equatorial, nomeadamente. A dinâmica do cinema português está em cada filme que é feito. E de quem é o argumento ? É meu. É uma história extraordinária que eu descobri, já ando a preparar o filme há cerca de dez anos, porque descubro um dia um folheto em francês sobre cinco mulheres que tinham sido presas. Não pelos portugueses lá em Angola, mas sim pela UPA, que era um movimento rival que depois se transformou no FNLA. E essas mulheres são presas e depois são mortas. Portanto, é uma tragédia enorme. E, portanto, é a primeira vez que acontece. Cinco mulheres entram na guerrilha e entram. Vêm do Congo, no quadro do MPLA, entram em Angola e depois vão ser atacadas pela UPA e vão ser mortas. E portanto é contar esta tragédia do que é que estava a acontecer de complexo dentro dos movimentos de libertação. Quando eu descobri estas mulheres, a lider chama-se Deolinda Rodrigues. Ela é actualmente o símbolo da mulher angolana. Há um dia feriado que é o dia em que ela foi morta, esta Deolinda Rodrigues. E eu, desde que conheci esta personagem, esta pessoa, este fantasma, tomou posse de mim e passei a viver obcecado com esta história. E, portanto, filmá-la. E também libertar me deste fantasma.

A candidatura da Plataforma Aliança Inclusiva (PAI) - Terra Ranka, liderada pelo PAIGC, às eleições legislativas também não foi aceite. Esta será a primeira vez que o PAIGC, histórico partido da libertação, fica de fora de uma corrida eleitoral na Guiné-Bissau. A lista definitiva das candidaturas às eleições presidenciais foi divulgada esta sexta-feira e Domingos Simões Pereira disse à RFI que “a intenção clara” é afastá-lo do escrutínio e acusou o actual Presidente Umaro Sissoco Embaló de ter “medo de o enfrentar nas urnas”. Na terça-feira, jornalistas de três rádios locais de Bissau, nomeadamente a Capital FM, foram impedidos de cobrir a conferência de imprensa do Supremo Tribunal de Justiça quando este divulgou a lista provisória das candidaturas validadas. Tiago Seide, director da capital FM, disse à RFI que não foi apresentada nenhuma justificação. Por outro lado, na segunda-feira, a Ordem dos Advogados da Guiné-Bissau condenou com veemência o rapto e o espancamento de Luís Vaz Martins, antigo líder da Liga Guineense de Direitos Humanos e actual presidente da comissão de direitos humanos da Ordem dos Advogados da Guiné-Bissau. Em Angola, na quarta-feira, o Presidente João Lourenço anunciou, na mensagem sobre o Estado da Nação, na Assembleia Nacional, que os signatários dos Acordos de Alvor, incluindo Jonas Savimbi e Holden Roberto, os fundadores da UNITA e da FNLA, vão ser lembrados com a medalha comemorativa dos 50 anos da Independência de Angola. O gesto - disse o Presidente - é enquadrado no espírito de "perdão e reconciliação”. Esta decisão surge após muitas críticas pela ausência destes nomes nas listas de condecorações já atribuídas no âmbito dos 50 anos da independência nacional. O presidente da UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, lembrou que foi um “processo muito longo”, marcado pela rejeição na Assembleia do “reconhecimento aos pais da nação” e  “uma série imensa de não aceitações individuais de condecorações”. Além disso, Adalberto Costa Júnior sublinha que Jonas Savimbi e Holden Roberto devem ser reconhecidos “por mérito” e não por perdão. Por outro lado, Nimi A Simbi, presidente da FNLA, considerou a distinção de Holden Roberto como um reconhecimento do papel do partido “para a libertação de Angola”. Na terça-feira, Angola foi eleita membro do Conselho de Direitos Humanos das Nações Unidas para o triénio 2026-2028. As autoridades angolanas referem que esta eleição resulta do “reconhecimento dos avanços institucionais e do compromisso do país com a dignidade humana”. Porém, há vozes que denunciam que "o país não respeita os direitos humanos". Esta sexta-feira, em Luanda, um grupo e defensores dos direitos humanos convocou uma vigília para apelar à libertação de activistas detidos em Julho quando se manifestavam contra o aumento do preço do combustível e dos transportes. Em Moçambique, este sábado, 18 de Outubro, marca o primeiro aniversário do duplo homicídio de Elvino Dias e Paulo Guambe, algo que desencadeou meses de protestos em Moçambique depois das eleições gerais de Outubro de 2024. Agora, o ex-candidato presidencial Venâncio Mondlane anunciou que, até Dezembro, estará em actividade uma fundação inspirada em Elvino Dias, conhecido como “advogado do povo”. Venâncio Mondlane responsabilizou os "esquadrões da morte" pelo duplo homicídio dos seus apoiantes. No distrito de Memba, na província costeira de Nampula, no norte de Moçambique, a população continua com medo depois dos ataques terroristas de 30 de Setembro e 3 Outubro, contou o administrador do distrito, Manuel Cintura.  Em Cabo Verde, segunda-feira foi dia de festa com o apuramento inédito da selecção para o Mundial de Futebol. Os Tubarões Azuis venceram o Essuatíni por três a zero no Estádio Nacional, na cidade da Praia. O selecionador cabo-verdiano, Pedro Leitão Brito, connhecido por “Bubista”, descreveu a união entre jogadores como factor essencial para o apuramento. Em São Tomé e Príncipe, o grupo HBD do empresário Mark Shuttleworth anunciou que vai suspender o seu  investimento na ilha do Príncipe. Os governos central e regional mostraram vontade de reverter a situação. Em Madagáscar, esta sexta-feira tomou posse como Presidente o coronel Michael Randrianirina, comandante de uma unidade de elite, três dias depois de ter anunciado que as forças armadas locais iam tomar conta do país e após três semanas de protestos contra o governo. O golpe militar foi condenado pelas Nações Unidas e levou à exclusão provisória de Madagáscar da União Africana. O presidente deposto, Andry Rajoelina, está em paradeiro desconhecido, após ter fugido da ilha por temer pela própria vida durante a rebelião. Porém, o coronel Michael Randrianirina rejeita falar em golpe de Estado. O líder da oposição queniana, Raila Odinga, morreu na quarta-feira, aos 80 anos, na Índia, onde recebia cuidados médicos. Odinga marcou profundamente a história política do Quénia. Foi várias vezes candidato à presidência e foi primeiro-ministro entre 2008 e 2013. No funeral de Estado, esta sexta-feira, dezenas de pessoas ficaram feridas num movimento de pânico, um dia depois de três pessoas terem morrido quando as forças de segurança abriram fogo contra um estádio onde decorria uma homenagem a Raila Odinga.

Angola vs Argentina: o jogo que está a indignar os angolanos

Angola pretende canalizar mais de sete milhões de dólares norte-americanos num jogo amigável com a selecção da Argentina, previsto para 11 de Novembro, no âmbito das celebrações dos 50 anos da Independência Nacional. As ONG's angolanas criticam a iniciativa devido ao actual contexto socio-económico que o país atravessa.  Angola pretende canalizar mais de sete milhões de dólares norte-americanos num jogo amistoso com a selecção da Argentina, previsto para 11 de Novembro, no âmbito das celebrações dos 50 anos da Independência Nacional. Os Albicelestes já confirmaram o jogo amigável com os Palancas Negras. Entretanto, quatro ONG´S angolanas criticam a iniciativa e solicitam o cancelamento do jogo, devido ao actual contexto socio-económico que o país atravessa.  Por apenas 90 minutos de jogo, a selecção argentina de futebol pode facturar, em Novembro deste ano, cerca de 11 milhões de dólares numa partida amigável, a decorrer em Luanda, com a selecção angolana de futebol, no dia do jubileu da Independência de Angola. O montante, a ser gasto, está a gerar críticas pela sociedade angolana, que ainda acredita que a Argentina possa desistir do convite da Federação Angolana de Futebol (FAF).  É o caso de Serra Bango, líder da Associação Justiça, Paz e Democracia (AJPD), que diz ser uma vergonha Angola gastar tanto dinheiro num jogo, quando o país se encontra mergulhado numa crise social e económica sem precedentes.  O nosso objectivo é, exactamente, chamar a atenção aos jogadores da selecção argentina, sobretudo ao Messi, porque eles têm uma visibilidade universal. A nossa chamada de atenção é no sentido de que eles se solidarizem com o sofrimento por que passam os cidadãos angolanos: a fome, a miséria, a nudez, o desemprego, falta de educação, de escolas. Nós temos problemas ainda de cólera, paludismo, saneamento básico. Temos problemas de saúde como a febre tifóide, por falta de água potável, por quase todo o país.  E associado a isso, infelizmente, ocorreu neste espaço de tempo aquelas execuções sumárias que já têm ocorrido várias vezes e têm sido denunciadas por vários outros activistas das execuções sumárias que ocorrem em Angola. Face a isso e face ao volume financeiro que se quer despender para esta partida de futebol, não temos certeza se serão apenas os 6 milhões de dólares que poderão ser revertidos para outras situações aqui em Angola. Nós apelamos à solidariedade destes jogadores, no sentido de recusarem esta vinda, este convite para jogarem com Angola. Porque nós temos assistido a nível da África - infelizmente Angola não escapou - preferem desembolsar várias somas de dinheiro para visitas momentâneas de ilustres figuras a nível do topo universal e o povo angolano vive na indigência. A Friends Of Angola, a Pro Bono Angola e a AJPD são subscritoras de uma carta enviada à Federação Argentina de Futebol e a Lionel Messi, cujo teor tem a ver com o cancelamento do jogo.  Florindo Chivucute, presidente da Friends Of Angola, entende que a selecção da Argentina antes de aceitar o convite de Angola, deveria lembrar-se do movimento de protesto de um grupo de mulheres que exigia a localização de seus filhos desaparecidos durante a ditadura militar argentina.  Esta decisão ficará na história, porque os argentinos sabem muito bem qual é as consequências de uma ditadura. É importante aqui lembrar das mães da Praça de Maio que começaram as suas marchas em 1977, que representam um dos maiores símbolos mundiais de resistência contra a violência de Estado e o desaparecimento forçado de pessoas durante a ditadura militar argentina que durou de 1976 a 1983. As mães  da Praça de Maio até hoje continuam a se reunir, todas as quintas-feiras, na Praça de Maio, lembrando ao mundo que não se pode esquecer do passado. É uma luta que simboliza a luta pela memória, pela verdade e pela justiça e é isso que nós esperávamos que a selecção da Argentina fizesse, mas, infelizmente, não fez. Serra Bango esclarece que a sociedade civil angolana não está contra o jogo, mas contra os gastos milionários a serem aplicados pelo Governo. A nossa carta apresenta dados, números que foram pesquisados, quem quiser desmenti-los, que apresentem outros números e outros dados diferentes. Por outro lado, nós não estamos contra uma partida de futebol. Angola pode jogar, aliás, é bom que a celebração dos 50 anos seja feita. Mas aqui há outro elemento. É que o partido no poder e o executivo querem fazer da celebração dos 50 anos só a sua actividade, particularmente não está a envolver os angolanos. Nem os outros movimentos. Mas a independência não foi conquistada só pelo MPLA.  Por outro lado, há um elemento importante. Seria interessante que a selecção de Angola ou a República de Angola, o nosso país, ao invés de convidar a selecção argentina, convidasse quatro selecções africanas, o valor não seria tanto. Estas equipas que eventualmente vão participar no CAN, teriam interesse também em ter jogos de preparação e aproveitariam a selecção de Angola a preparar-se com mais duas ou três equipas.  Para a independência de Angola participaram outros estados africanos. O Congo Democrático, ex-Zaire, o MPLA encontrou guarida no Congo, a FNLA quase que foi fundada no Congo, a UNITA encontrou guarida no Congo… por isso, é que temos angolanos refugiados no Congo e na Zâmbia.  A Zâmbia foi o país que abriu as portas para esses movimentos,  inserindo-se nos vários contactos internacionais, a nível da antiga OUA, actualmente União Africana. Convidem estes países! A selecção da Argentina confirmou a vinda a Luanda. Mas, apesar disso, o responsável da Friends Of Angola ainda acha que os argentinos podem vir a recuar na decisão, em solidariedade com milhares de crianças angolanas sem escolas.  Apesar da equipa nacional da Argentina ter confirmado o jogo, há sinais de que o jogador Lionel Messi não irá participar nesse jogo, que para nós já é um ganho, e espero que não participe mesmo. Fizemos um apelo de novo à selecção da Argentina, para que, de facto, repensem a decisão, ainda vão a tempo, que não manchem a sua dignidade por causa de 6, 11 ou 20 milhões de dólares. Ainda há tempo de eles poderem recuar nesta decisão. Este dinheiro deveria sim ser usado para dar oportunidade a crianças, centenas de crianças, em Luanda, e em todo o país, para ir à escola pela primeira vez. Nós temos centenas de crianças que estão fora do ensino todos os anos, porque, segundo as autoridades locais, não há condições para essas crianças poderem atender a escola pela primeira vez, não há escolas suficientes. Era nesse sentido que nós gostaríamos mais uma vez apelar à equipa da Argentina e ao próprio executivo angolano que não realize este evento, que use este dinheiro para melhorar a vida dos angolanos, porque isto é o que os angolanos querem. Para as organizações da sociedade civil, o Governo, liderado pelo MPLA, quer proporcionar uma operação de charme com jogo, no sentido de branquear a imagem do Presidente aos olhos do mundo, tendo em conta a oposição interna que tem na sua formação política e a falta de soluções concretas e imediatas para o país.

Join Dr. Keith C. Ferdinand as he delves into an analysis of management trends among these patients, which he presented at the 2024 Family Heart Foundation Global Summit.
