Love is in the air once again down in the Video Dungeon on this Valentine's Day, and this week we're slashing into Lover's Lane (1999)! In this deep dive, we review the movie's plot, kills, killer reveal, and its connection to the urban legend of "The Hook." Plus, we take a look at an early performance from Anna Faris just one year before making Scary Movie. With Scream, I Know What you Did Last Summer, their respective sequels, and even Urban Legend being perviously released, is Lover's Lane the LAST slasher cash-in of the 90's and how does it stack up amongst the classics?

Sue Markovitch is a specialized personal trainer for women over 40, expert in trauma-informed fitness, and the author of I Know What to Do, I Just Don't Do It and Up Is Mandatory. She is renowned for applying spiritual principles to health and fitness and creating safe spaces for women to recover self-worth and achieve sustainable health. In this episode of The Health Fix Podcast, Dr. Jannine Krause interviews Sue Markovitch on creating a fitness lifestyle that works for you.   Key Takeaways: 1. Rethinking Fitness: Feeling Good vs. Looking Good Sue challenges the traditional fitness narrative with her empowering perspective: “What if fitness was more about feeling good about yourself instead of feeling good about how you look?”* This reframing emphasizes self-acceptance and internal well-being over external validation. 2. The Damage of a Lifetime of Dieting The fitness and diet industry has perpetuated cycles of trauma for many women, leaving them feeling unsafe and inadequate. Breaking free starts with acknowledging these experiences and creating supportive environments for change. 3. The Role of Strength Training Strength training is incredibly empowering for women over 40. It builds both physical resilience and emotional confidence. However, consistency often eludes women, highlighting the need for deeper, personal work to uncover and address barriers. 4. Identifying the Deeper Work For women who know what to do but struggle to follow through, the key lies in exploring the inner obstacles that hold them back. Sue guides listeners to: Pay attention to the internal dialogue when attempting change. Recognize the "blinders" society has imposed regarding fitness expectations. Address self-sabotaging behaviors stemming from trauma or low self-worth. 5. Myths and Lies of the Fitness Industry Sue and Dr. Jannine Krause critique the common motivational tactics in fitness that often lead to guilt and burnout. True motivation comes from understanding one's unique needs and working with a compassionate, knowledgeable coach.   Highlights from the Conversation: Self-Worth Recovery: Sue's trauma-informed approach creates a safe, judgment-free space for women to reconnect with their self-worth. Re-education on Fitness: Sue is on a mission to debunk harmful fitness myths and teach her clients what truly works for sustainable health. The Voice in Your Head: Understanding and addressing negative self-talk is critical to making lasting changes. The Importance of Individualized Coaching: Having a coach who truly sees and understands your unique journey is invaluable for success.   Resources from the Show: Visit Sue's Website: suemarkovitch.com Books by Sue Markovitch: I Know What to Do, I Just Don't Do It Up Is Mandatory   Final Thought: Fitness is not about perfection or punishment. It's about reclaiming your power, finding joy in movement, and embracing your worth—exactly as you are.

In episode 93 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on the synastry between 90s “It” couple, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.  The two first met on the set of the film, "I Know What you Did Last Summer" and started as good friends - then things got serious when they married in 2002. Let's see what makes this 22-year long marriage so strong!     We start with Sarah's chart and see an assertive, energetic, fighter thanks to her Aries Sun.  With her Sun also making a close conjunction to the south node also in Aries, we note the need to “redo” the energy of this sign in a more responsible way. Combined with an imaginative and other-wordly Pisces Moon, it's no wonder that she rose to fame as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (A supernatural thriller). We also see a Moon/Mercury sextile telling us she takes great care and consideration with her words and relationships.        Next, we take on Freddie's chart and immediately see a sensitive and compassionate Pisces Sun...but with a T-square formed with his Gemini Moon and Sagittarius Neptune means his identity and emotions can get lost in the fog. This aspect creates confusion and makes articulating feelings difficult. We also see a few planets in the air element, telling us he has good social skills and also needs a partner to keep up with him intellectually.        Together, they have the powerful Sun/Moon conjunction in the sign of intuitive, romantic, Pisces. This brings a deep and unexplainable familiarity and healing energy to the relationship. We also see mutual Sun/Mercury sextiles explaining their long-standing friendship and strong communication skills (perhaps the biggest aspect aiding them in staying together all these years). We loved seeing a strong Sun/Jupiter conjunction too, describing their strong cooperation when it comes to raising their children. On the flip side, we found an aggressive Mars/Moon square and intense Pluto/Venus opposition.       With these ego clashes and power struggles, how have they lasted this long? Listen in to find out and hear what Venus score they receive!       CONNECT WITH US   Connect with Kristina Martin Book a Reading www.klmastrology.com astrologyklm@gmail.com www.instagram.com/klmastrology     Connect with Tara Redfield Book a Reading www.anotherdaygreener.com anotherdaygreener@gmail.com www.instagram.com/anotherdaygreener/ www.tiktok.com/@anotherdaygreener

They also talk about a recent study, which found that higher phone use was associated with more relationship problems, and an article by a therapist, called “As A Therapist, I Know What's Breaking Couples Up.” Hint hint, it's allegedly the smartphone.

In the wake of the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, the conversation teases out how, through art, charged political issues like abortion take on a specificity that they don't in basic reporting or debate. This week on Unemployed, Anna and Ellen discuss their new project to watch & discuss movies about being fired, and pick a first film to watch! Look out for mini movie eps! Also, Anna is joined by her dear friend who you may know from Betches or Middle Children Podcast, Chris Burns AKA @FatCarrieBradshaw!!! Anna and Chris chat about how Chris had 3 full time jobs before the age of 21 (I KNOW - WHAT?!) and has barely been unemployed, which we fully endorse. They share nightmare stories and celebrity gossip about working in restaurants in NYC. Chris shares his greatest advice about keeping a job and it has to do with your standards, babe! At the end, they call an 'Unemployed Stranger From The Internet' named Erik. We love chatting with Erik because he's full of positive energy although his edible marijuana manufacturing company was raided and now he's a full time stay-at-home Dad. What a story! Don't forget to RATE, REVIEW, and TELL UR OLD BOSS ABOUT THIS PODCAST! Full Videos of the Podcast are available to watch on Patreon.com/UnemployedPodcast WE LOVE YOU!

I kNoW wHaT a ChErRy ToMaTo IsAn unreleased pilot episode for you guys to laugh at in these troubled times. In which James gets victimized for not being American, Zoey ignores her cohosts except for when we're talking about the MCU, and Lin's motherly instincts leap out... whenever they're not cussing out the others. Featuring our guest star: really good churros. Since the time of recording, Zoey has come out as a girl! We hope every trans guy, girl, and nonbinary friend are appreciated and supported, and we offer our love to you. Come and say hello on social media! You can find us on Twitter @lesbihonestpod, @lin_macmillan, @TarrayoZach, and @spicynigel; or on Instagram @lesbihonestpod. Thanks for listening! We're working on making more content, but considering the fact that we're now eight time zones apart, episodes may be a little rough coming out. Stay safe, everyone.
