Grandpa Bill Asks: Will The Future of Humanity Blur Our Identities into “Transhumanism?” Do You Think We Will Be a Robotized Society? HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A THOUGHT COACH? Do you feel you are thriving in your life in the way you thought you would be by now? _______ Are you achieving your optimum potential? _______ Do you feel completely fulfilled? _______ Do you feel fully prepared to make pivotal life decisions and have the tools to make them? _______ Are your personal relationships healthy, happy and all they can be? It's Time To Awaken: Changing The World With Conscious Awareness Transhumanism is a philosophical and intellectual movement which advocates the enhancement of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies that can greatly enhance longevity and cognition. [1] [2] Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies .About Ora The Big Idea: Ora Nadrich takes us on an in-depth journey to fully understand what she calls the “Great Awakening” of our times. This spiritual awakening, caused by a global pandemic that catapulted the world into a fear frenzy, created tremendous polarization and dissent, dividing the world into two groups; those who are awake to know the truth behind the fear, and those that are frozen by fear and are in an “unconscious slumber”. Using Mindfulness and emotional intelligence to navigate the extreme changes we are facing, like censorship, government overreach, global elitism, AI and Transhumanism; Ora Nadrich will give you the necessary psychological armor to resist the dangers of our current state of affairs, which are unprecedented. Ora can also discuss: ·What you need to know about the “Great Awakening.” ·Why ignorance is not bliss. ·The future of virtual reality and transhumanism. ·The power of metacognition. ·How mindfulness leads to Awakening. ·How to keep consciousness alive. Holli & Jeanna are lit up like a Christmas tree and ready to co-create a special podcast for the LOA FAM. But before we rush into the next moment (hehe we are learning not to rush it - see LOA Uncorked assignment below,) we have to confess that it wasn't a B&E (Break & Enter) in LA, Ora really did open her front door for Holli & Jeanna. We are so thankful she did!!! She definitely takes the mystery out of mysticism in this conversation. Ora artfully explains the great coupling of mindfulness and mysticism. She wanted to take the esoteric of mysticism and bring it into modern day times. When you are mindful and present, your senses are heightened. Your experiences can take you into heightened states of feeling, higher states of consciousness, and of how you are perceiving something in that moment. As an example, you could watch a sunrise and be so present that your endorphins are ignited that its as if you are on a psychedelic. LOA gals are jumping on that party! Ora explains her Says Who? Method. This method helps you change your thoughts at any time. Any negative thoughts can be turned around. Take the real estate in your brain and curate the good thoughts that bring out the best in you. When the sneaky negative ninja thoughts come up, show awareness and humor with the ninja. Asking ourselves the Says Who? questions is a way for real change. Once pried from Ora's study, the LOA gals left LA with a deep understanding, “Do not rush to get to the next moment.” How that beautiful moment with Ora went by too fast. Like Ora, we want to be our own cosmic dancer and co-create with the Universe. — Mindfulness is being in a state of total awareness of the contents of our minds, which makes us more conscious of what we're thinking and feeling. And, by being in this state of complete awareness, we can remain observant of our thoughts and feelings with acceptance and non-judgment because we have a heightened awareness of what is occurring in our minds. This is when we are in a pure state of mind, and it is in this state when you can guide yourself wisely, pointing yourself in the right direction instead of one that can be hurtful or harmful to you. This state of complete awareness that Mindfulness puts you in won't let you escape or choose something bad or unwise because you will be conscious of the choices you are making, and you will want to make the best ones. But, if you don't, that means you weren't letting Mindfulness do what it does so well—keep you present with total awareness. What Mindfulness does is it helps us maintain equanimity in the face of change and accept it maturely with- out reacting. This is the type of “mature consciousness” we want to be in so we can be aware of when we slip into duality. In this week's episode, actress-turned-author, Ora Nadrich, author of Live True: A Mindfulness Guide to Authenticity, explains how we can get better results in our life. Ora shares her own personal tragedy, which resulted in a difficult decade long anxiety, and propelled her to figure out how we can begin enjoying the moments we are given. As a thought coach and mindfulness practitioner, Ora takes mindfulness PAST the meditation pillow, into the ongoing moments of our days. It's so easy to live our lives in a frenzy of business, or wait until life gets tough to start searching for what really matters. How easy it is to forget that our moments are so precious, they won't be coming back, so why waste them on negativity, worry, or painful memories? We need to enjoy our moments, and savor them! Today, Ora explains the mind-body connection, how to master your mind, how to use the release and replace technique, and give people back the gift of their life. Ora discusses why it's so hard to live authentically, and why, ironically, living authentically actually makes our lives so much easier. At the end of the episode, Ora shares a quick and extremely helpful meditation that takes under a minute but will get you instant results. “Without being present, we cannot be fully aware, and without being fully aware, we remain unconscious.” This moment you are in right now — The Present Moment — is the most important moment there is. You are alive in it, and it is uniquely yours. It is unlike any other moment you have ever had, or will have again. Yesterday has come and gone, tomorrow is not here yet. It is this present moment that matters the most, and if we value the moments of our lives, we will want to make the most of each one, and not let any moment go by without having lived it as truthfully and authentically as we can. But what does it mean to live “Authentically”? The definition of authentic is “genuine” and “real”; or, in other words, the combination of all our true qualities and characteristics. However, Ora Nadrich likes to describe authentic as “living our truth in the present moment.” She knows, it's easy to want to hide or conceal certain aspects of ourselves we may not love, but once we start to hide our realness and who we really are, it can slip away from us to the point that we are living dishonestly to our true nature, and why would we want to do that? Those are some of the reasons that strip us of our true nature. And before we know it, we are not living our truth in the present moment, or any of the moments of our lives if we are not aware of the traps of our mind, which are the lies we tell ourselves that keep us stuck in self-deception. Fear, insecurity, doubt. Mindfulness, which is living in the present moment with total awareness, keeps us honest, and true to who we are. It reminds us when we slip out of the moment of authenticity, and try and hide or replace it with a false belief of ourselves, and that's what Ora explores in her work. But it won't stop there. Ora also directs us to the home of our authenticity, which is the depths of our inner being. That is where we find our wholeness, and feel most accepting and complete. The inner-self is the dwelling place of our authenticity, but too often we stray from our authentic wholeness, and it can become fragmented or even broken. I will show you through a variety of meditations in each chapter, how to return back to, and connect with your inner-self, so you can live our authentic wholeness in all. Ora Nadrich Let me ask you a question. If you were to look at yourself from above would you, or could truly say you are living authentically? Are you truly being who you are? Do you even know who that person is suppose to be? It is so easy in life to lose sight if who we really are. We get so caught up into being what others expect us to be that we do not even know who we are anymore. We get so lost that for some of us we decide to reach for a bottle, sex, or something else to deal with the fact we want to escape from our lives because what we are, is no longer who we are. Live True Thought Coach and Author Ora Nadrich joins us on this edition of A New Direction teaching us how to be more authentic by being more mindful based on her book Live True: A Mindfulness Guide to Authenticity. Ora talks us through living in the present, embracing our moments, honesty, compassion, serving others, and yet even for the business person how authenticity leads to trust in your business. There is something for everyone for sure in this episode, and we go deep into your life, thinking, and behavior and how that can help you be he best you yet. Ora Nadrich is the Founder & President of The Institute for Transformational Thinking and bestselling author of Live True: A Mindfulness Guide to Authenticity. Ora is a frequent blogger for the Huffington Post, and has been featured as a panelist on Huffington Post Live. She's written many articles on Mindfulness, and can be found on Yahoo Health, YouBeauty, Conscious2, MindBodyGreen, and many other publications. She leads workshops on "The Says Who? Method", a step-by-step process of confronting our negative thoughts, which are what often create the obstacles in our lives. Ora was an actress and screenwriter, where she worked in film, episodic television, and commercials for more than a decade, which she feels provided her vast experience in exploring motivation and the process of self-discovery. Podcast Highlights Who is Ora Nadrich? Ora likes to say “a vision always starts in the mind with a single thought.” She considers herself a visionary, as someone who wants to manifest the vision in her mind. When Ora’s sister became afflicted with mental illness that completely changed the way Ora looked at life. Being an actress was no longer what she felt like she was meant to do. She found that some of the most difficult times in life can be a gift that will lead you to understand more about yourself. Where did you get the courage to make the switch and Live True? This is a question of Nature vs. Nurture. Many people have come from terrible situations and achieved great things. There is usually a moment, a distinct event that defines you. The thing that drives Ora is something that she teaches to other people. Ora wakes up each day with gratitude and presence. Be in the moment of now and think about what you want that moment to be. You are the creator and master of your internal dialogue which will create your reality. Overcoming Self Doubt Energy goes where energy flows. We start to believe the thoughts that we tell ourselves and often get attached to thoughts that keep us back. If someone came up to you and told a bunch of negative things, would you outright believe them? Probably not, but when we do it to ourselves we do. Take one negative thought you have and write it down, crumple it up and throw it away. Then write down its positive counterpart. You have to be diligent and committed to switching out your negative thoughts that don’t serve you for positive ones that do. Staying In The Present We are bombarded more than ever before, you need to make an effort to pause and work with the voices in your own head. The number one anchor in meditation is to focus on your own breath. Being in the present means you are showing up and what of yourself do you want to bring with you? If you want to get in shape without exercising, you’re kidding yourself. If you want to be present in your life, you have to do the work. How do we reconcile mindfulness and authenticity? Ask yourself what feels inauthentic to you. If you are an entrepreneur just getting started, you are probably under a lot of pressure to put up an image of success that you may not have had yet. But real is good, being vulnerable is okay. Give yourself credit for what you’ve done. Wake up in the morning and get your thoughts on straight. Think thoughts that support and encourage what you want to achieve. Entrepreneurs are the visionaries of the future. They will change the future. Ora shares her ideas of thought transformation because she knows they can change the way people think and that can change the world. Changing your thoughts is one of the most powerful things you can do. How do you deal with the stigma around mindfulness? Everybody has
