The show opens with new numbers that completely destroys the ones from yesterday. No matter how hard the bought-and-paid-for Legacy/mainstream media tries, their predictions of economic doom and gloom are not coming true. DNI Gabbard calls out a reporter at the Washington Post for using a burner phone and trying to get members of the ODNI to leak classified information to her. The paper is already being scrutinized for printing such material. A CIA report just dropped telling us what this audience already knew – the Obama-era intel and leadership rushed a narrative when pushing the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. The Secretary of State's Office is continuing to stand by their reforms to track aid funds to ensure they get to where they are supposed to go. They also remind the press that Hamas is to blame for all of the lack of ceasefires, let alone the Oct 7, 2023 attack. Dollar Store 44 goes on a 7+ hour filibuster to try to stop the BBB from getting a new vote in the House. Funny, not that long ago he accused those who did such a thing as clinging to the vestiges of the Jim Crow days. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says of Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), “I would not ask an arsonist advice about how to put out a fire.” Then, I spend some time on two inter-related subjects. I am trying to understand how a sub-set of our nation can be convinced to believe in Marxist/socialist ideas. I think it's because we have all forgotten to take stock of the wealth we have thanks to Capitalism. We all need to learn how to explain it and defend it. This leads to my closing about the US Constitution and how the signing of the Declaration of Independence was the start of a radical transformation on how people could and should be governed. With our 249th birthday on July 4, I think it made sense to give just a little reminder about what our Founding Fathers achieved and why we must all fight to keep this glorious Republic intact. In the summer of 2016, with a guaranteed Hillary Clinton presidency was on the horizon, the Obama Era enjoyed a premature victory-lap with SOUTHSIDE WITH YOU (2016). Plus, Democrats see hopeful signs in early voting patterns
Whoever thought they had to get Kamala Harris out in front of people to win this race is looking pretty stupid after a disastrous town hall event with CNN's Anderson Cooper. He was a pro, she was not. And that's all anyone could see. If Trump wins in 12 days it's the end of the Obama Era after 18 years as so many Dems appear to be leaving their party. These confident pollsters claiming Trump could have this thing won before election day have lost their minds. GOP early voters are showing up by the millions.... but doesn't that mean we have no idea how many will show up on election day? Missouri Dem Senate candidate Lucas Kunce had a gun range photo op go wrong when a reporter was injured by flying fragments. But it's worse than that as details emerge about just how dangerous it all was. Mizzou quarterback Brady Cook is doubtful Saturday but still has a chance to play, a former Chief describes the team as cold and cut throat in how they release players and college football ratings are through the roof this year.

Today two anonymous friends of the podcast, Indian Bronson and "Hannah" join Erik Torenberg to make their moral case for Donald Trump. They discuss why swapping Kamala Harris for Joe Biden could cause a "reprise of Obama 2012", the immigration restrictionist viewpoint, and the "aesthetic baggage" that often comes along with the radical leaders capable of ushering in change.
Welcome to the end of the blue decade, Blue Ballers, and the beginning of SEASON TEN of NYCFC madness, brought to you by your own Boys in Blue. A special salute to the ballers who've been with us since the Obama Era, through thick and thin, from Kreis to Cup -- this one's for you. But that's about as triumphant as we're getting this time around, because NYCFC is back to their old tricks and we don't mean that in a good way. Jake & Trey break down our few-shots-on-goal 90 against Charlotte FC and break down what's changed and what hasn't from our abortive 2023 campaign. The Federal Communications Commission is bringing back a policy of deeper government regulation over the internet with so-called net neutrality. Supporters of the system defend it, claiming it prevents internet providers from providing better services to some, and worse to others. Many who don't support net neutrality claim that it stifles innovation. But there are deeper problems with net neutrality that are often left unaddressed—things like so-called “digital equity” and policies that would allow the federal government to have a say even over the terms of services for websites. In this episode of Crossroads, we'll discuss this topic and others, and answer questions from the audience. First off—big news in Money 4 Nothing-land. We've just OFFICIALLY joined forces with the amazing Penny Fractions newsletter to create a new and almighty Voltron (Sailors Moon?) of critical coverage on the music industry. We'll be rolling out exciting new projects over the next few months, so please stay tuned! And now, on with the show… When news broke that a wave of Scott “Scooter" Braun's clients were leaving him—including mega-names like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber—it seemed like it might be the beginning of the end for the most successful music manager of the 2010s. But…who is Scooter exactly? And why should anyone care? While most know Braun for his era-defining beef with Taylor Swift, we decided to go a bit deeper, exploring his remarkable ascent amid the shell-shocked chaos of the music biz during the early Obama Era. As we dug in, we realized that Scooter's success actually provided a fascinating vantage-point through which to understand the distinctive era that ran from early Youtube to the launch of Tik Tok—a moment of disruption, change, and platform power that we might just be coming out of. Come for the Asher Roth (yeah, THAT Asher Roth). Stay for the T-Swift conspiracies. Subscribe to our newsletter! Follow us on Twitter! Subscribe to Penny Fractions!
A recent National Labor Relations Board (NLRB or the Board) decision reverts to an Obama-era standard used to determine a worker's status as an employee or an independent contractor under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA or the Act). This is important, as employees have rights under the NLRA, while independent contractors do not.In this episode, Jill and Alex discuss the decision, events that led up to it, and how it may affect employers.

President Joe Biden's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently appointed the "spies who lied" about the Hunter Biden laptop scandal to a new U.S. intelligence panel. Former CIA Director John Brennan, former CIA Senior Operations Officer Paul Kolbe, and former National Intelligence Director James Clapper will headline the "Homeland Intelligence Experts Group." But are these men qualified to serve after they were part of the 51 intelligence officials who signed the October 2020 letter that refuted the New York Post's exposé on Hunter Biden? On today's show, the Sekulow team discusses the potential danger to national security created by DHS Secretary Mayorkas, Vice President Kamala Harris' claims about "climate anxiety," the latest news in the "disqualification" plot against former President Donald Trump, and much more.

Dr. Gregory O. Hall, Associate Professor, Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY., USA discusses his recent book: “Examining US-China-Russia Foreign Relations: Great Power Politics in a Post-Obama Era.” He proffers that, although the Russian military has been grossly overrated, the post-Soviet Russia is still a "great power." primarily because of its nuclear missiles and the fact it is one of the 5-Permanent Members, along with the US, UK, France and China, of the UN Security Council with the potential to veto any binding resolutions. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken are calling for a détente between the West and China, to avoid a misunderstanding and possible military conflict. From a positive standpoint, the US has re-joined WHO, the Paris Climate Accord and UNESCO, is repaying arrears at the UN and is working to renew the Iranian Nuclear Deal.

Five years ago, Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams finally lost the (musical) lawsuit of the century. Their song, “Blurred Lines,” had been an inescapable summertime hit, a wedding-DJ-standby, and the center of a very Obama-Era debate over whether it was creepy to have a song called “Blurred Lines” in the first place (it was.) Now, it was also found to have violated IP owned by Marvin Gaye's estate, specifically the classic song “Got To Give It Up”—a brilliant track that VIBED a lot like “Blurred Lines” without sharing much, if any, direct musical DNA. It was a bombshell. In the years since, the music industry has changed. Songwriters became more cautious, backroom deals were struck, catalogs got bought, and everyone accused Ed Sheeran of stealing their songs. But why was the lawsuit actually decided in favor of Gaye? And what does that tell us about the legal structures that shape modern music? To get a better sense, Saxon and Sam dig into the details of the case, unpacking the epically unmoored nature of modern copyright, the invisible impact of sampling, the music biz negotiations that followed the ruling, and the AI possibilities hurtling at us all. Come to hear us try and remember what 2013 sounded like. Stay for some beautiful—and we mean beautiful—depositions.

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB or the Board) recently issued a decision in American Steel Construction, Inc., in which a 3-2 Board majority threw out the Trump-era standard used to determine whether a microunit (i.e., a small, discrete subset of employees at a larger worksite) is appropriate and reinstated the Obama-era standard which held that petitioned-for units would be found appropriate unless there was an “overwhelming” community of interest between the petitioned-for unit and excluded employees. Listen to learn more about what this change in the law means for employers and what they can do to combat the new challenges they may face in the workplace.
On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, we have arrived here on Day 819 of 15 Days To Flatten the Curve, and Build Back Better is doing exactly what Klaus Schwab promised that it and the Great Reset would do, and that is the decimation of the American economy. Here in Florida, I tweet about high gas prices on a Monday and by Wednesday, MOnday's tweet has suddenly become the "good old days". Never mind that Joe Biden's very first Executive Order was to close the Keystone XL gas and oil pipeline. Here in Saint Augustine, the oldest city in America, rent prices have gone up more in the last 6 months than in the last 16 years, and that same story is being played out across our nation. How can America survive that? She can't, and know you know what Build Back Better and the Great Reset - one in the same thing - are all about. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is facing an increasingly grim calculus after yet another hot inflation reading last week: He probably has to push the economy into recession in order to regain control of prices. “I've become more pessimistic about the opportunity of stabilizing inflation at an acceptable level without a recession,” said JPMorgan Chase & Co. chief economist Bruce Kasman. Joe Biden promised you Build Back Better, and here it is.

Ahmed's book, set in California against the backdrop of Obama-era politics, explores how differences in faith and sexuality affect an Indian Muslim family when two estranged sisters—one a doctor more religiously observant than their parents, the other a political organizer who is lapsed, queer, recently divorced, and newly pregnant—reunite to support their ill mother. Ahmed also discusses his career shift from computer science to fiction, his decision to identify as a gay writer, and how these changes have strengthened his position as an activist. In this week's episode we catch up with one another about our Thanksgiving escapades before moving headlong into some wonderful content. Drew was lucky enough to score a dub and snagged a PS5 but that couldn't keep our attention as we quickly pivoted to the Middle East, Obama Era foreign policy, and doctrines of warfare more generally. Just a heads up to our loyal listeners: we had some technical issues while transitioning our recording and editing services to provide our listeners with better content. Thank you all so much for bearing with us as this episode does have some audio quality issues.

For years, contractors have chafed under an executive order former President Barack Obama signed as one of his earliest actions. Known as the "nondisplacement order," it required companies winning follow-on or successor contracts to give first right-of-refusal employment offers to people working on the incumbent contractor. President Donald Trump revoked it late last week. The President and CEO of the Professional Services Council, David Berteau, joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin for what services contractors are thinking.
