Are you afraid that niching down will shrink your podcast audience? Think again! In this episode, I'll show you why going “nice and nichey” could actually be the best move you ever make for your podcast. Spoiler alert: It's not about getting more listeners; it's about getting the right listeners. We all know the temptation to appeal to everyone—after all, who wouldn't want a massive audience? But unless you've spent decades building your brand like Joe Rogan, going broad is a recipe for getting lost in the noise. Instead, I'm here to tell you that focusing on a specific, well-defined niche can sharpen your podcast's edge, grow your authority, and lead to better conversions. In this episode, I dive into the real-life success stories of podcasters just like you who were hesitant to niche down, but once they did, they saw massive growth—not just in their listener base, but in their business as well. Key Takeaways: The Myth of the Niche: Why trying to be the next Joe Rogan isn't a winning strategy for most podcasters. Tracy's Transformation: How narrowing her focus to boudoir photography turned a struggling podcast into a thriving business tool. Andre's Breakthrough: By zeroing in on reputation management for gyms, Andre's podcast became the go-to resource for gym owners looking to stand out. Overcoming Niche Fear: Practical steps to stop chasing everyone and start building a loyal, engaged audience that converts. The Power of Deep Connection: How Inna's pivot to a Hashimoto's health podcast brought her back to the top of her field. Why More Downloads Aren't the Answer: Why focusing on niche content can lead to more sales and a more loyal audience. Don't let the fear of narrowing your focus hold you back from podcast success. Embrace your niche, and watch your podcast not just grow, but thrive. Ready to Niche Down? If you're still on the fence about niching, let's talk. Book a free podcast coaching call, and I'll help you find the perfect niche that aligns with your expertise and audience. Free Webinar | https://bit.ly/podcastpowr Kane and Ash discuss how to approach the world of podcasting as a newbie and the right attitudes and mindsets to have to find success. If you are apprehensive or anxious about starting your podcast and releasing your content into the world, this episode is for you, it will challenge your preconceptions and alter your perception of podcasting! KEY TAKEAWAYS It's not embarrassing if no one listens to your podcast to start with, no one knows your numbers. Negative reviews on podcast platforms are very rare, so don't be frightened when releasing content. If you have content that can help people, you are doing those people a disservice by not releasing it. Monetising a podcast isn't just about ads and sponsorship, if you are getting referrals and clients via your podcast that is monetisation. Consistent numbers mean you have a diehard following. You don't need thousands of listeners, you just need a dedicated and loyal audience. BEST MOMENTS “People don't say anything when they're happy” “It's different people who listen to podcasts than most people who consume social media” “With the right guidance you can make a lot of money through it, sponsorship isn't the only way to monetise your podcast” “Numbers on a screen, they don't really mean anything” “Don't doubt yourself, don't compare yourself to others, comparison is the thief of joy” VALUABLE RESOURCES Podcast Production - The Cost of the Wrong Choice How to Launch a Number 1 Podcast - Part 1 Free Podcast Workshop https://tinyurl.com/Podhelp ABOUT THE HOSTS Kane Baron, Ashley Morris & Thom Luter manage over 150 live podcasts Including Rob Moore, Kevin Clifton, Shaa Wasmand MBE & more. Tired of people telling you success is all about mindset? Well, too bad because the success of your podcast is 100% on you having the right mindset. If you don't it could kill your podcast way before it's time. In this episode, I share 7 of the common mindset traps I see podcasters deal with plus I share the one antidote for all of them. As a podcaster, you might find yourself in one or more of these traps so you'll want to find out how to avoid them and escape them. Check out how common these mindset traps are - I bet you'll recognize some! As a podcast coach, I've noticed that podcasters often get stuck in the trap of perfectionism, which leads them to re-record stumbles or edit out every "um" or "ah." This is not only unrealistic but can also lead to inauthenticity. Sometimes this is triggered by another mindset trap - comparisons. And the spiral continues if this leads to another mindset trap, expectation. The scarcity mindset, where you feel fiercely competitive with other podcasters and believe that there is not enough to go around, can also kill your motivation to keep going. This mindset trap often goes hand in hand with negative self-talk, another mindset trap. Having a fixed mindset and dealing with imposter syndrome are two more mindset traps. Are you starting to recognize some of these mindset traps? Find out how they show up for podcasters and what you can do about them. It's no wonder so many podcasters give up. If you want to stay out of the podcast graveyard, join me in this episode to learn more about these mindset traps and discover the antidote to all of them. Let's navigate the mental minefield and keep you going strong with your podcast. Book Your Free 15-Minute Podcast Coaching Call Now: https://calendly.com/timwohlberg

Jenna isn't here to give you the cookie cutter meal plan or exercise regimen but she is here to push you to go DEEPER, to understand how to shift in to a state of making empowered decisions, to learn how to sustain habits for life not just as a quick fix or for one season while giving you ways to automate healthy habits. & she gives you the really powerful reminder to learn how to TRUST yourself and have that self compassion for who you are and where you are going. We know you will love this weeks conversations just as much as we did recording it. Make sure to tag us over on IG @michaela_robertson and @jennaraealtman!
