In Part 1 of this episode, you'll hear the amazing journey of former NFL QB Craig Nall and How to Conquer Your Mind from Top 50 LPGA Instructor Debbie O'Connell. Craig takes us through his playing career which really started with a historic senior season at Northwestern State. We hear how he led them to the FCS playoff and nearly upset top-ranked Montana. Craig was drafted in the 5th round in 2002 by the Green Bay Packers. He backed up Brett Favre for the majority of his career. He also was assigned to NFL Europe in 2003 where he played for the Scottish Claymores. He was 2nd in the League in passing and led the League in just about every other category. During his NFL career, he came through every time his number was called. He threw for 402 yards, completed 63% of his passes, had 5 TDs and 0 interceptions, yet no other team gave him a true shot to play. Following his playing career and the passing of his father who was his best friend, Craig dealt with alcoholism and divorce. He's now sober, in a loving relationship, and started a new career. He takes us through his highs and lows in this segment. We go from that previous extreme to the other end of the rainbow in segment 2 when I'm joined by Debbie O'Connell. Debbie is one of the most positive individuals you'll ever meet. She teaches us how to strengthen our minds and bodies in this segment. We learn how to release our minds from worrying about the outcomes of our shots. If being in a greenside bunker gets your blood pressure up like it does mine, she gives us some tips for how to overcome that. We also hear about her Conquer Your Mind Challenge course that's coming up starting April 15th. When Wim Hof was 35, his wife, who suffered from schizophrenia, committed suicide. He then had to raise four young children by himself with no money. His only escape from daily agony was submerging himself in ice water. There, he discovered the physical and mental healing power of ice water. Since then, Wim has revolutionized the way we view the body's capacity to heal itself using all-natural techniques. In this episode of YAPClassic, Wim will unpack the importance of deep breathing, how he took over his autonomic nervous system, and how to connect with your intuition.  Wim Hof is a Dutch extreme athlete, motivational speaker, and well-being influencer, known as "The Iceman” for a long list of incredible feats involving his ability to withstand extreme cold, including 26 Guinness World Records. This idea is grounded in the belief that with the right mindset and self-awareness, each individual has the power to create their own destiny. Let's explore how you can conquer your destiny and turn your dreams into reality! Step 1: Cultivate Self-Awareness Self-awareness is the cornerstone of personal growth and success. To create the life you desire, you must first understand your strengths, weaknesses, emotions, and beliefs. Begin by taking a deep look at yourself and asking, "What do I truly want?" and "What is holding me back?" Reflect on your life experiences, lessons, and values to gain insights into your unique path forward. Step 2: Embrace Your Authentic Self Success comes to those who embrace their authentic selves. By accepting and owning your truth, you will begin to unleash your full potential. Trust your instincts and follow your passion, for it is the key to staying motivated and resilient in the face of challenges. As you continue to grow and evolve, never lose sight of the person you truly are. Step 3: Set Clear Goals In order to achieve massive success, you must have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. Break down your ultimate goal into smaller, achievable milestones. This will help you stay focused and maintain momentum. Remember, every step, no matter how small, brings you closer to realizing your dreams. Step 4: Develop a Growth Mindset A growth mindset is essential for overcoming setbacks and continuously evolving. Embrace the idea that you can always learn and improve. View every challenge as an opportunity to grow and develop new skills. Keep pushing your boundaries and seek feedback from others to accelerate your personal growth. Step 5: Surround Yourself with Support Success is often a collaborative effort. Seek out those who inspire, uplift, and challenge you to be your best self. Surround yourself with mentors, peers, and friends who will support your journey and provide valuable insights. Together, you'll be unstoppable. Step 6: Take Consistent Action Consistency is the key to turning your dreams into reality. Take daily action, no matter how small, to move closer to your goals. Stay disciplined and persistent, even when the going gets tough. Remember, small steps add up to significant progress over time. Step 7: Celebrate Your Successes Along your journey, take time to celebrate your achievements. Acknowledging your progress not only boosts your motivation but also cultivates a positive mindset. Give yourself the recognition you deserve and remember that every accomplishment, big or small, is worth celebrating. Conclusion The road to massive success is paved with self-awareness, authenticity, and a relentless pursuit of growth. Remember that your life circumstances do not define you; you have the power to conquer your destiny. Embrace your unique journey, and let your passion and determination guide you toward the life you've always dreamed of. Stay self-aware, stay motivated, and keep pushing forward – success is waiting for you!

From the time he was a child, Colin O'Brady knew he wanted to climb Mount Everest. It was a childhood dream that easily could have fallen by the wayside as a result of the demands of adulthood. Today, at the age of 37, O'Brady has climbed Everest not once, but twice. O'Brady's passion to accomplish what others say is impossible led him to become the first man to walk across Antarctica solo and unaided. As a professional adventurer, O'Brady has crossed Drake Passage, a notoriously dangerous section of ocean between South America and Antarctica, in a rowboat; climbed the tallest peaks on all seven continents; and represented the United States in international triathlon competitions. Adventure is a way to “unlock the human potential that I think that we all have inside of us,” O'Brady says. But there was a day and time when he would not have dreamed he would be inspiring the world through his exploits. When he was in his early 20s, O'Brady set out on a trip to see parts of the world he had never experienced. While in Thailand, he suffered an accident and was burned so badly on his legs that doctors were not sure he would ever walk normally again. Sitting at his bedside in a hospital in Thailand, O'Brady's mother challenged him to set a goal. He told her he wanted to run a triathlon. “You should start training now," he remembers his mother telling him, even while he was bandaged from the waist down. But taking his mother's advice to pursue a dream, he started lifting weights in bed. Eighteen months later, O'Brady won the Chicago Triathlon. His stories of grit, courage, and advice on how to overcome the roadblocks in our lives to achieve our dreams are featured in his new book, “The 12-Hour Walk: Invest One Day, Conquer Your Mind, and Unlock Your Best Life.” His success as an athlete and adventurer has earned him sponsorships and speaking opportunities around the world.O'Brady joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to share how he discovered one practical step that can move anyone closer to accomplishing his or her goals in life. Wrapping up my series on 10-time record breaking explorer Colin O'Brady and the message from his new book, “The 12-Hour Walk: Invest One Day, Conquer Your Mind, and Unlock Your Best Life.” With me is my frequent co host, Randy James, Medical Doctor and Functional Medicine expert. We give focus to Colin's two main topics. First, his concept of “What is your Everest?” We really bring it down from some epic, exotic adventure, to really, just what gives you purpose? That is the best Everest ever. Can you do this in the day to day of your life? Then we hit the primary concept of the 12-Hour Walk, which is rebooting your brain. Something we in our culture today, rarely do. Sleep is like recharging your phone. Needed. But it's not an operating system upgrade. That's the concept in this 12-Hour Walk idea. I encourage you to listen to the discussion, even if you have zero intent to go on a 12-Hour walk. Plenty of other ways to achieve it. The goal would be just to do…anything. Though Randy and I are both planning what we decided to name, a 12-Hour meander. You'll hear us hit on something he says in his new book, The 12-Hour Walk, about so often being asked if he's ever afraid of dying during his epic quests up Mt Everest and across Antarctica. And he says…yes. But he's more afraid of not truly living. Experiencing life. It's not a pithy answer and I dig in on what this looks like for us. I'm not interested in death defying feats, but I sure want to get all I can out of my life. Colin's feats include the world's first solo, unsupported, and fully human-powered crossing of Antarctica, speed records for the Explorers Grand Slam and the Seven Summits, and the first human-powered ocean row across Drake Passage. Colin O'Brady on his reasons for doing what he does The conversation starts off with the question of why Colin does what he does. “Why do I do what I do? Yeah, it's an easy question as you're like, “Why would somebody walk alone across Antarctica for 54 days, dragging a 375-pound sled by themselves?” I asked myself that question sometimes.” – Colin O'Brady That said, Colin is very happy with his achievements, especially with his wife as his number one supporter. They have built their business together, and she has helped Colin with these world record expeditions and how to execute them. And they don't forget to have fun while doing so. “I remember calling her around day 35 and in a sadly scrapped crackly sat phone connection I said to her, “Hey, if I ever tell you I want to do this again. Make sure to remind me that I don't.”” – Colin O'Brady Type 2 Fun Colin asks if we are familiar with the phrase, type 2 fun. “So type one fun is like fun. We you know, normal fun. You know, you're drinking with your buddies, you're dancing, you're partying, you're hanging out with your wife and are watching a beautiful sunset. It's just fun, just fun for fun. Type two fun is it's not super fun.” – Colin O'Brady For Colin, type 2 fun is the fulfillment one gets from pushing their body to the limits, and exploring the human potential. Not just in the physical sense, but also emotional and mental sense. The Desire to be outside is part of our DNA We talk about our outdoor trips, and while it is not as extreme as Colin's adventures, we do get that exhilaration and joy of exploring the outdoors. Colin agrees with this, and remarks that as human, it is in our DNA to explore the outdoors. “I think it's in our DNA to be outside in nature. Like you said, kind of those moments where after a busy week, or a busy month, you look up and you kind of watch the clouds go pass for a second, or something like that. There's something very grounding in those experiences.” – Colin O'Brady To hear more from Colin O'Brady and how to do the impossible, download and listen to this episode. So, what would make someone strap a sled loaded with 375 pounds of food and supplies onto their body, then drag it across a stormy, windswept, frozen landmass at the bottom of the earth for 54 days in brutal subzero temperatures, just to say they did it? What might the average person - meaning you and me - who has little to no interest in doing anything remotely so extreme, learn from this experience that would translate into our ability to live better lives, in far less brutal environments, every day? And, how might committing to a more accessible, single-day of challenge, radically change our perspective on all parts of life? These are the questions I had, and the topics we explore with today's guest, ten-time world record-breaking explorer, speaker, entrepreneur, and expert on mindset, Colin O'Brady. His feats include the world's first solo, unsupported, and fully human-powered crossing of Antarctica, speed records for the Explorers Grand Slam and the Seven Summits, and the first human-powered, 700-mile ocean row across Drake Passage, maybe the most dangerous and brutal body of frigid, wave-stream ocean that spans South America to Antarctica. Colin's highly publicized expeditions have been followed by millions and his work has been featured by The New York Times, The Tonight Show, The Joe Rogan Experience, and The Today Show. He is the author of The New York Times bestseller The Impossible First and now The 12-Hour Walk: Invest One Day, Conquer Your Mind, and Unlock Your Best Life. But, what got me so curious, was how preparing for and then mounting these extreme, physically-grueling challenges, was actually as much, if not more about the mind as it was about the body. And, I wanted to know, beyond why anyone would do these things, how they changed him, as a human being, what we all might learn from this and how we might create more accessible, yet transformative versions in our own lives, and experience the powerful benefits that come from them? And, as part of that, we talk about an interesting invitation he's created to say yes to what he calls The 12-Hour Walk. You can find Colin at: Website | The 12-Hour Walk | InstagramIf you LOVED this episode you'll also love the conversations we had with Rich Roll about the interplay between body and mind and how we can use each as a lever to evolve the other.Check out our offerings & partners: My New Book SparkedMy New Podcast SPARKEDVisit Our Sponsor Page For a Complete List of Vanity URLs & Discount Codes.ClickUp: 15% Off.
