Individuals with codependent tendencies often find it easy to pray bold prayers for others, yet feel unworthy when it comes to expressing their own needs to God. The act of asking for help can even bring up feelings of shame. After all, having spent a lifetime supporting others, receiving assistance can feel uncomfortable for a codependent. However, when we pray boldly and witness God's responses to our prayers, our sense of security can shift from relying on people to trusting in God. This transformation allows us to love others as He intended and live in freedom from codependency through God dependency. This is why we have created these worksheets to help you process your pain with God through prayer and experience a breakthrough. What if the moment you feel most powerless is actually the start of your greatest breakthrough? In today's video, we'll uncover how God uses your Kiros moment to transform your life and heal your heart. Through Jacob's story, you'll learn how surrendering your strength opens the door to divine power. Get ready to exchange codependency for God-dependency and step into the freedom He has for you! I sitt banbrytande verk ”The Art of Describing. Get ready to expand your mind and heart with this potent conversation! Recording this episode with Emily Frost of Kiros Way was a glorious and deep look at the ways in which horses invite us to remember and reconnect to the divine nature of life. We discuss shadow work as an essential tool on our journey to embodying the love we know we feel for our horses, but can struggle to express due to unconscious conditioning, and share how everything from the mundane to the mystical can be a spiritual experience. I'm truly grateful for Emily's enthusiasm and unapologetic way of embracing these less-tangible spaces of connection with our horses, and I hope our chat can leave you feeling inspired and curious to explore new realms of being and relating to both yourself and your equine partners Emily Frost of Kiros Way offers a holistic, connection based training approach through the integration of a well-rounded and embodied language bridge. By combining animal communication, somatic reinforcement, bioenergetics, and operant conditioning; primarily in the form of positive reinforcement & non-escalating negative reinforcement; each language bridge and educational experience is unique and completely customized to every individual and partnership - supporting all stories. So often we demand that our horses bridge themselves to our human world, far more than we step into theirs. Emily is dedicated to helping horses and humans meet in the middle, catalyzing powerful healing journeys to the heart. Learn more about Emily's work at https://www.kirosway.com

We like big worlds, and we cannot lie. We like them, even more, when they come packed in extra thick premiere issues. Black Cloak #1 from creators Kelly Thompson and Meredith McClaren is the first event comic of 2023. It presents a massive, fantastical world jammed with magic, mystery, and mermaids. One part procedural, one part political intrigue, all parts pointedly compelling and weird as hell. After devouring the first three issues, we came away from Black Cloak wickedly captivated and brimming with curiosity. And yes, we had plenty of questions too. Thankfully, Kelly Thompson and Meredith McClaren agreed to come on the show and break them down with us. In this week's episode, we chat with Thompson and McClaren about the bottled anxiety they've created in their powder keg city, Kiros. We discuss why they structured the book the way they did, why McClaren is as in the dark about the city's future as we are, and why confusion is a mighty weapon in winning over your audience. Also, we consider whether or not Black Cloak's comparisons to Saga are fair or accurate. Oh you thought the torture and drama and insanity was over? WRONG. "Escape from Kadavo" is the dramatic and crazy conclusion of this three part episode arc, and it does not disappoint. We get it all: we finally get to see the slaves escaping (but, um...why so few? where did all the other slaves go?) We get Rex javelin-spearing a fat dude in a floating chair through the chest. We get Anakin and Ahsoka not having any sort of conversation over wtf just happened with the Zygerrians and why they were sent on this mission in the first place. It's the culmination of a rather traumatic mission, despite the entertainment it provided. But, in the end, it's a happy one (kind of.) The mental and physical scars that Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Rex sustain on this mission linger long after it has ended, but hey - at least the people of Kiros were saved! Ah yes, we adore you, Kadavo Arc!

On the planet Kiros, artisan colonists created a society with no weapons, only art and beauty. Let's see how that plays out for them! Count Dooku makes an offer the governor can't refuse: 'Safe haven' for the citizens of Kiros as slaves, under the control of Zygerrian Atai Molec! Anakin, Obi-wan, and Ahsoka arrive. The battle rages! When Obi-wan goes to meet to discuss terms for surrender, D'Nar explains he meant that Obi-wan would surrender. Obi-wan wants to settle things the old Zygerrian way, which just turns out to be hand-to-hand combat. Obviously, D'Narr beats the shit out of Kenobi.  Obi-wan returns to his old stand-by, reneging on surrender negotiations - but D'Nar escapes to his ship and takes off. Anakin and Ahsoka give chase by sacrificing their AT-PT walkers to double jump, just like Mario dropping Yoshi down a pit. They bad cop/worse cop D'Nar into explaining that the Zygerrians will use the colonists to rebuild their slave empire. Then the Jedi Council discusses things and comes to the conclusion that the Zygerrians will use the colonists to rebuild their slave empire! Our jedi travel to Zygeria to try to locate the kidnapped colonists.  Ahsoka is playing the part of the slave because Anakin claims he wasn't any good at it when he played the part despite an 8 season run on Tatooine that Watto described as ‘a good time had by all'.  Ahsoka meets a slaver and Anakin talks his way into a meeting with the queen, he gives the queen Ahsoka and the queen must be picking up what Anakin is putting down because she is super into this whole scene.  Somewhere Kit Fisto senses a very erotic disturbance in the Force.Rex and Obi Wan find the Togruta leader and try to escape on a lizard.  I'm not sure why that's the character trait they chose to highlight for Obi Wan, but there you go.  Obi Wan is captured and we transition to the slave auction and get a pretty sweet RotJ music cue and R2 launches the lightsabers to Anakin and the jail break is in full swing.  The jedi are quickly overwhelmed but Anakin fights to the last and the queen is so into Anakin's determination that she is about to join Kit Fisto in an erotic coma.  The queen and Anakin are flying on lizards and the queen is violating quite a few HR regulations. They have a philosophical debate about self interest and freedom and I haven't learned the queen's name until now but I suspect it's probably Johanna Galt or something subtle like that. The slaves have been put to work. Obi Wan tries to make things better, but "Jedi only make things worse".  Which breaks Kenobi's spirit when he realizes he cannot help the others.  The queen & Dooku argue, and her PM betrays her, so now enter Anakin to be framed for her murder.Anakin announces that a republic fleet, having just jumped into light speed, will even the odds, they free the slaves from the prison camp! After being freed, Ahsoka encourages the Governor to join the republic. The Clone Wars: Season 4 Episodes 111, 12, and 13: https://www.disneyplus.com/video/02bd06fc-230f-4667-b9da-23fb11d66b70https://twitter.com/ClosingCrawlhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/closing-crawl/id1530133296https://www.closingcrawl.com/On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz9X-57K6-VV_GkUBaqvyeAMerch: https://bit.ly/spacetimetm

The Zygerrian Arc of the Clone Wars (4.11–13, “Kidnapped,” “Slaves of the Republic,” and “Escape from Kadavo”) begs us to consider: Who are the real slaves under the Republic? In this three-part arc, we see Anakin, Ahsoka and Kenobi struggle to free the Togrutan people of Kiros from being condemned to a life in chains. There are heists, spies, infiltration plots, fake names, fake imprisonment (plus actual imprisonment), and a seduction (ooh la la). In our discussion, we recap the grand tradition of slavery in Star Wars and discuss what it tells us about power in the galaxy — who has it, and why it profits them. Next week, we're hanging out with Ahsoka and her BOYFRIEND (!!!!) in “A Friend in Need” (The Clone Wars 4.14). --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/growingupskywalker/message

Last week, I have announced at Patreon that I’m moving the operation to Substack. I gave every Patron a complimentary subscription for the first month. If you’re reading this, chances are you are such a person, with a comp that will run out on July 2. At that date, you will have to decide if you want to continue getting subscriber-only posts for $7/month or $70/year. I hope the things you’ll see in this first month will convince you to stay. Some of you have already made up your mind. I see that several hundred people have switched to a paid option and made the first payment. Many have chosen an annual rather than a monthly subscription, which is cheaper for you and costs less in transaction fees for us. Some people have opted for a “founding member” plan, which allows you to pay a custom, bigger amount. All of this is deeply appreciated. This post is the first TGS episode published through Substack. It’s my conversation with noted philosopher and public intellectual Cornel West and philosopher Teodros Kiros. We discuss their book, Conversations with Cornel West. Along the way we engage vigorously with one another on themes of religion, politics, aesthetics, identity, and nationalism. We find many points of agreement. It is a rich and intensive exchange. Some timestamps:0:00 Teodros's new book, Conversations with Cornel West 1:04 Cornel offers spiritual counsel to Glenn 11:06 Between commercialization and democratic decay 20:52 Glenn: “The glass is way more than half-full” for Black Americans 29:26 The centrality of Black music to Black experience 36:03 Cornel’s Chekhovian Christianity 43:40 What system, if any, can replace American capitalism? 56:42 The meaning of 1776Notice that this post doubles as a podcast episode.
