We were joined by Rob Lee of Sky Sports and Brendan Porath of The Fried Egg joined us today to talk Ryder Cup with the European side ready to make their six captain picks public. Porath discussed the luxury the Europeans have in basically bringing the same team back and that despite the uncertainty the last couple months, the Americans still have more depth and it was the right decision for Keegan Bradley to just captain the team. Rob Lee talked about the steady hand of Luke Donald, the investment of Rory McIlroy and how the start will be key to both sides.
Old School Soccer Stories 9:Kevin Phillips was rated too small to be a striker so played right back at Southampton. Then headed back to semi-pro football after being released as an 18 year-old. Nine years later he was European golden boot winner, aided in that achievement by his classic strike partnership with the towering veteran Niall Quinn. The Quinn-Phillips partnership fired Sunderland to consecutive 7th place finishes and lives long in the memory of football fans - especially lifelong Sunderland fans like Sky Sports presenter Tom White. Tom talks us through those heady days for his club and why Sunderland didn't quite kick on to be a Premier League contender.

Nottingham Forest look set to spend around £100m on new signings and maybe more as they close in on a series of transfers. Arnaud Kalimuendo is set to join from Rennes for £26m, James McAtee from Manchester City for £30m and Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for £37.5m. Sky Sports have also reported that Forest are in talks with Juventus over Douglas Luiz. Meanwhile, Reds manager Nuno Espirito Santo has told Sky he is 'very worried' about where Forest are after a summer where plans didn't come together at the speed he wanted in unusually forthright comments to the media. On top of that, Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to sign a new contract according to Daniel Taylor of the Athletic and Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports and then there is the small matter of the opening Premier League game of the season Sunday against Brentford. Matt Davies is joined by Michael Temple in part one to discuss the transfer news, Nuno's comments and Hudson-Odoi's deal. Then in part two he is joined by Emily Anderson (10 minutes later) former Reds midfielder Lewis McGugan to preview the Brentford game and discuss Kalimuendo and McAtee. #NFFC #nottinghamforest

Forest are back in again for French winger Dilone Bakwa! But will the deal happen? Join the FFTV Discord server for free - https://discord.gg/xG436HXuch Welcome to Forest Fan TV for the latest transfer update on Nottingham Forest! The Reds have gone back in for Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa after their initial £25m bid was rejected, with reports suggesting a new offer around €31m is on the table as negotiations intensify. Wolfie dives into this development, sharing his thoughts on whether Forest can secure the 22-year-old, who impressed with 6 goals and 9 assists last season, and if he'd be the right fit to replace Anthony Elanga's pace on the wing under Nuno Espirito Santo's system. There's also news on Gary Neville potentially still facing a ban from the City Ground this season, following his exclusion last year after critical comments on Sky Sports. With tensions lingering, Wolfie discusses whether this ban will hold, impacting Neville's punditry for Forest's home games, and what it means for the club's relationship with broadcasters. This ongoing saga adds another layer of intrigue as Forest prepare for their Premier League opener against Brentford. On a positive note, we have some encouraging team news heading into the Brentford game this weekend, with a Brentford key player set to miss out. Wolfie will break down how this could shape Nuno's lineup and boost the Reds' chances of a strong start. Share your thoughts in the comments—do you think the Bakwa deal will go through, what's your take on the Neville ban, and are you optimistic about the Brentford match?
