Hang On St. Christopher (The Sean Duffy Series) by Adrian McKinty Amazon.com New York Times bestselling author Adrian McKinty continues the Edgar Award-winning Sean Duffy series with Hang on St. Christopher. Rain slicked streets, riots, murder, chaos. It's July 1992 and the Troubles in Northern Ireland are still grinding on after twenty-five apocalyptic years. Detective Inspector Sean Duffy got his family safely over the water to Scotland, to "Shortbread Land". Duffy's a part-timer now, only returning to Belfast six days a month to get his pension. It's an easy gig, if he can keep his head down. But then a murder case falls into his lap while his protege is on holiday in Spain. A carjacking gone wrong and the death of a solitary, middle-aged painter. But something's not right, and as Duffy probes he discovers the painter was an IRA assassin. So, the question becomes: Who hit the hitman and why? This is Duffy's most violent and dangerous case yet and the whole future of the burgeoning "peace process" may depend upon it. The Re-interment of Frank Stagg. Last week we remembered Frank Stagg who died on hunger strike in an English prison in February 1976. Frank began his fourth and final hunger strike in December 1975. He died 62 days later. He last request was "to be buried next to my republican colleagues and my comrade, Michael Gaughan" who died on hunger strike two years earlier. Michael had been buried in Ballina with republican honours.Faced with the prospect of another high-profile funeral of a republican hunger striker the plane carrying Frank Stagg's coffin was diverted by the Irish Government from Dublin, where the Stagg family and friends were waiting, to Shannon. Frank's body was hijacked and taken by helicopter to Ballina, where it was buried. A 24-hour guard was put in place and concrete was poured over it to prevent the family from exhuming the coffin.Frank's brother George later described how, when he took his mother to visit the grave, Special Branch officers took photographs of her as she knelt and prayed. Slán Brendan. This week came with the death of our comrade and friend, Bik McFarlane.

Smoke fills the carriages, and panic and devastation takes over London. Detective Gary Powell was sitting at his desk when he heard what we now know as the 7/7 terrorist attacks. Gary sits down with host Brent Sanders to talk about this case, and others from his time in the counter terrorism unit of the UK police. This content contains references to suicide. Inside No. 9 is a British black comedy anthology series that aired from February 5, 2014, to June 12, 2024. Written by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith and produced by the BBC. The only recurring elements are a setting related to the number 9 and a hidden brass hare statue. The show blends comedy, horror, and plot twists. The episode we watched, "The Devil of Christmas," is a Christmas special and the first episode of the third series, aired on December 27, 2016. Directed by Graeme Harper and written by Pemberton and Shearsmith, it took heavy inspiration from 1970s anthology programs such as Beasts (see episode 27 and 44 a and b), and Tales of the Unexpected (listen to episode 29 for more details), filmed at Studio D in the BBC Elstree Centre with rented 1970s costumes and props, the production used retrofitted 1970s cameras and lighting. This approach differed from the usual single-camera setup of the series. Producer Adam Tandy noted the blend of heritage and modern technology, while Shearsmith remarked "it looks shit, but it's brilliant". Graeme Harper, the episode's director, is well-known for his work on Doctor Who, being the only person to direct both the original and revived series. Harper's direction was widely acclaimed, with Peter Davison praising him as the best director he worked with on Doctor Who. The episode featured Rula Lenska, born Roza Maria Leopoldyna Lubienski, who has appeared in Special Branch, Minder, Boon, The Detectives, Footballers' Wives, To the Manor Born, One Foot in the Grave, Casualty, Space: 1999, Return of the Saint, Robin of Sherwood, Doctors, and EastEnders, where she played Frank Butcher's girlfriend, Krystle, in a 2002 Costa del Sol special. In the 1970s, she was shortlisted for the role of companion Jo Grant in Doctor Who and later appeared in Resurrection of the Daleks. She starred as Mrs. Peacock in series 2 of Cluedo and appeared with John Inman in the series Take a Letter, Mr. Jones. In 2009, Lenska joined the cast of Coronation Street as Claudia Colby, an old friend of Audrey Roberts. She left in May 2011 to join the Calendar Girls tour. Lenska was married to actors Brian Deacon and Dennis Waterman, with both marriages ending in divorce. She appeared in commercials for Alberto VO5 in the US during the late 1970s, becoming a running joke on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show. Her work with the London Gay Men's Chorus led to her participation in the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, where she made headlines for a role-play task with George Galloway. Since today's topic was a last-minute change to our schedule, we didn't have much time to research Steve and Reece thoroughly. I'm sorry we don't have more to share about them, but they seem like really nice guys. Both, along with the other two members of the League of Gentlemen, consistently create content that we pretty much universally like, if not love. (Ross is speaking for himself here, but I think Jon and James would agree.) This episode also features the voice of Sir Derek Jacobi, Professor Yana himself!!!!. Due to time constraints, our research for this episode was limited. We'll need to cover another project featuring Derek so we can properly explore the life and work of this wonderful actor. If you have any suggestions, please tweet us @GeneralWitch1. In May 2024, it was announced that Pemberton and Shearsmith had adapted the series into a West End stage play, Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright. They will perform in the production, premiering in January 2025 at Wyndham's Theatre, London. (Ross and his wife have tickets to go in April!) Andy Shovel, co-founder of a plant-based sensation, THIS, discusses his journey to entrepreneurship and his radical approach to animal advocacy. He shares how his early life experiences and relationship with his parents shaped his independent thinking and led him to become a serial entrepreneur. Andy also highlights his privilege and how important it is for more entrepreneurs and business owners to acknowledge the advantages they've had in founding a business. He delves into his awakening to animal cruelty and the development of plant-based products that taste like meat. Lastly, he discusses the company's irreverent and controversial marketing strategies. Andy discusses his approach to using humour in marketing to lower defences and promote plant-based products. He shares examples of controversial campaigns and the challenges of balancing the interests of meat eaters and vegans. Andy also introduces his new venture, A Bit Weird, an animal advocacy charity that aims to tackle the cruelest aspects of animal treatment. He emphasises the importance of reframing how people see animals and addresses the need for stricter regulations in pet ownership. Takeaways Independence and a different worldview from his parents shaped Andy's radical thinking. Entrepreneurship often requires a certain level of privilege and advantages. Andy's awakening to animal cruelty led him to start a plant-based business. Creating plant-based products that taste like meat requires extensive research and development. The company's marketing strategies aim to shock and entertain while promoting plant-based food. Using humour can help lower defences and make people more open to considering new ideas. Balancing the interests of meat eaters and vegans can be challenging due to their opposing worldviews. Controversial campaigns can generate backlash, but they can also lead to a net reduction in animal suffering. Animal advocacy should focus on challenging speciesism and reframing how people see animals. TRUE HOUSE STORIES® W/ SIMON DUNMORE (FOUNDER DEFECTED RECORDS & GLITTERBOX) # 117 INTERVIEWED BY LENNY FONTANA A very candid interview with the main man responsible for some of the biggest house music hits in the game, Simon Dunmore of Defected Records and Glitterbox Recordings. Listen carefully on how he explains his rise in the music business. There are key notes to work and live by that he shares with all of us. Simon's journey through the music industry to head of Defected was a journey through various subcultures. While working in a London dry cleaners, being sent to a textile course in fashion college in Derby exposed him to the more electronic, danceable side of the post-punk and New Romantic sound. Venturing deeper into the club scene back in London, he found a new community in the soul scene that would be the canary in the mine for the house music starting to cross the Atlantic. Nights like Nicky Holloway's Doo at the Zoo and Special Branch (including a trip to Ibiza in 1986) and a pivotal Soul weekender in, of all places, Berwick-On-Sea, lit the flame of a lifelong devotion to the soulful end of house that burns to this day. A DJ since 1983 (“I'd been making a lot of mixtapes, admittedly mostly for girls, when one day I was asked to play someone's birthday party”), Simon threw himself into DJing and the soul scene: writing for magazines, building a database for his hand-lettered and photocopied ‘London Soul Circular', organising buses from the suburbs to parties and events around the country. A job at Record & Disco Centre in London's Rayners Lane saw him receiving promos from labels hoping he would hype their records to influential customers like Record & Mirror writer James Hamilton. Another customer, Cooltempo A&R Steve Wolfe, gave Simon a job doing club promotions, plugging club DJs whose feedback would inform the dance charts that were the bedrock of a track's journey from record bag to radio play. Soon Simon was suggesting better records to sign or remixes to pursue, and when Wolfe left the label, Simon applied and got his job, later repeating the process when Wolfe left new home AM:PM. In the famously cut-throat and hedonistic 90s record industry, Simon took his time to find the right records to launch his new position with AM:PM, but a string of extraordinary releases including Ultra Nate's ‘Free', Alcatraz ‘Give Me Luv', Mousse T's ‘Horny' and MJ Cole's ‘Sincere' quickly made his name. When Ministry Of Sound - whose compilation CDs were not just dominating the electronic music sales but also effectively defining the culture - offered him the chance to set up his own label (just as a takeover of AM:PM by Universal was decimating the team he loved working with), the die was cast. Defected Records was born on January 1st 1999 and has now coming on its 25th Anniversary better than ever.
Episode #186: “The term ‘double minority' simply means a ‘minority within minority,'” Christopher Win explains. “Rakhine is an ethnic minority group in Myanmar, and Maramagyi is an even smaller group than the Rohingya! I'm from that small minority group, and I work as an ethnic rights activist.”The Maramagyi have faced discrimination and marginalization from the larger Rakhine and Rohingya communities, as well as severe restrictions placed on them from the Burmese state. Despite these challenges, Christopher has been involved in activism, documenting human rights violations and collaborating with organizations such as the UN Human Rights Office. He views the issues faced by the Maramagyi as part of an "ethnically patriarchal system," where dominant ethnic groups oppress smaller ones. Christopher believes that smaller ethnic groups should unite to amplify their voices and push for their rights through a new federal charter, rather than narrowly seeking freedoms for their own groups alone. The military coup in Myanmar has brought greater awareness to the ethnic struggles that were previously ignored or misunderstood by the majority Bamar population. Christopher sees a positive shift in the Bamar perspective, as they now recognize the importance of federalism and respect for ethnic diversity.Christopher was politically active after the coup, which put him in the crosshairs of the dreaded Special Branch. So he had to make his escape, and eventually found his way to Washington, DC. Here, he joined the General Strike Committee of Nationalities, a group working towards a unified resistance against dictatorship and advocating for the rights of Myanmar's diverse ethnic groups.“We're making especially Bamar people understand that Myanmar is extremely diverse country and our rights have long been violated. We're experiencing all these atrocious acts every day, but since people of Myanmar are determined, and they are on the right path, I am hopeful that we will win eventually, because we never had this sort of momentum in the past!”
There are very few, if any, politicians like Margaret Beckett. Uniquely composed, completely dignified and with a depth of experience unmatched in the House of Commons. This is a transfixing evening in the company of a national treasure. Thoughtful, hilarious and at times emotional, Margaret reflects on the changes she's seen since first becoming an MP in 1974. Is politics less sexist than it was then? Is the Labour Party? Margaret has played a prominent role in modern Labour history for nearly 50 years and her stories about Tony Benn, John Smith, Tony Blair and others illuminate the story of the Labour Party like never before. Terror Out of Space by Leigh Douglass Brackett audiobook. In the wake of unexpected meteor activity, a wave of inexplicable madness sweeps the already strange and ill-charted world of Venus. Racing to locate the source of the disturbance, Lundy and his team from Tri-World Police, Special Branch quickly find that locating the problem isn't half so tough as transporting IT back to headquarters. Out of his depth metaphysically and quickly sinking into the black pit of a Venusian sea, Lundy is about to discover his own profound reserves of strength and pit them against that which lurks behind a veneer of beauty-- the Unknown.

For this episode I spoke with John Crawley (Ex-US Marine and IRA volunteer), author of the "The Yank: The True Story of a Former US Marine in the Irish Republican Army".John spoke to me about his move to Ireland from the US as a teen, his time in the US Marine Corps, his joining the IRA and how the organization works from the inside.I asked John about his gunrunning mission for the IRA involving the now infamous James "Whitey" Bulger, his time in prison, meeting with the CIA, his part in a plan to disrupt the London power grid using bombs, being under surveillance by British Intel, the question of "Freedom Fighter or Terrorist", his thoughts on sectarianism and much more. Please be sure to purchase John's book if you find the episode interesting https://www.mhpbooks.com/books/the-yank/https://www.amazon.com/Yank-Story-Former-Marine-Republican/dp/1612199844***TIMESTAMPS***00:00 Intro, Moving to Ireland from the US, influences 09:10 Decision to join the IRA 12:00 Joining the US Marines 18:20 Joining IRA after Marines 22:30 IRA training & Operations, “types” within the IRA, Life in the IRA40:40 Public support for IRA 46:10 GUN-RUNNING MISSION to the US55:25 Caught w/ shipment of guns, arrested by Gardai (Irish police) 1:05:10 After 10 year prison sentence 1:09:25 Plot to disrupt power grid in London & surveillance from British Intel1:18:55 PAID A VISIT BY THE CIA- offered John $$ to rat1:24:23 Prison in England- treatment by guards 1:28:30 Thoughts on sectarianism 1:33:40 Early release from prison in England (2nd ceasefire) 1:40:10 Thoughts on Loyalist paramilitaries, collusion w/ British intelligence 1:43:15 FREEDOM FIGHTER OR TERRORIST 1:49:30 Any regrets or things John misses about the old life?1:54:00 Final words and book signings 1:55:40 Can John return to the US ?? On Monday's Morning Focus, Alan spoke to Gerard Lovett, the author of 'Ireland's Special Branch'. Gerard discussed as to what motivated him to write the book. He is both an author and a retired member of An Garda Síochána. The new book sheds a light on the often brutal and violent struggle for supermacy between the Garda Special Branch and the Anti Treaty IRA. It also gives an inside account of the inner workings of a squad of detectives called the Criminal Investigation Department, and their transition into what became known as the Special Branch.
THIS is currently the fastest-growing meat alternative brand in the UK. After launching in 2019, it was recently valued at £150 million. But Co-Founders Andy Shovel and Pete Sharman didn't always want to help people eat less meat. In fact, before THIS they ran a successful beef burger company. Andy knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur from a young age and sold his first business at 21. But far from feeling proud of himself, he really struggled. He hardly left his room for three weeks. Surrounded by friends in stable jobs, he felt lonely, scared that he didn't know what to do next. A chance visit to a new restaurant startup gave him the direction he needed, he would go into the “rock and roll” world of food. THIS definitely pushes the boundaries. Their early traction, says Andy, came from their PR stunts. In 2021, they did a takeover of the town of Quorn, rumoured to be where the meat-free brand, their main competitor, got its name from. THIS sponsored the football team, the pubs, the bingo hall…even the branded paper in the fish and chip shop. They've done a deep-fake of the Queen's speech and got an Ed Sheeran look-alike to hand out chicken nuggets. But not all campaigns have gone to plan…one stunt saw Special Branch raid their offices and Andy almost taken away! Find out why and what Andy has learnt as a people leader taking a business from £0 to £17 million in revenue in three years. It was an extraordinary series of events. A high-ranking Sinn Fein official is outed as an informer in the employ of M15 and the Special Branch of the PSNI. On the steps of Stormont, Denis Donaldson admits his role as a spy within the Republican ranks – then disappears. Six months later an intrepid journalist Hugh Jordan tracks him down to an isolated farmhouse in Glenties in Donegal confirming that his whereabouts aren't such a well-kept secret. Weeks later Donaldson is shot dead in the same cottage but mystery still surrounds what happened and why he remained there after he was discovered. Today I'm talking with Hugh Jordan about the case of Donaldson and a recent Police Ombudsman report which points the finger of blame at police and their failures to properly evaluate the threat to his life.

End of Season Two Review Black Spy Podcast, Season 2, episode 0011 Carlton King looks back at Season Two of his Black Spy Podcast. Carlton highlights the diversity of the topics covered by him during this season from, was former King of England Edward the 7th a Nazis sympathiser? To, was senior member of the British Royal family, and the last Vice Roy of British India, Lord Louis Mountbatten, a paedophile? Both subjects were discussed with historian, author and the world's no 1 literacy agent, Andrew Lownie, during his guest appearance on the podcast. The show also looks back a two guests who deal daily with the ravages of drug and alcohol abuse; prison Doctor, Tracy Hopwood who explains her decades long work in Britain's prison system and Drug worker, Jill, who's episode gets deep into the weeds of the everyday street reality of drug and alcohol abuse on regular family life. Carlton and Jill, also discussed the alleged drug abuse within Britain's present day government and contemporary political elite; noting how society differentiates between the drug use of Britain's different social classes as regards police enforcement and societal acceptance. Another switch in emphasis was the great discussion with Hollywood and Hong Kong Kung Fu actor Winston Ellis. Winston, a three times world martial arts champion explained his incredible journey into the acting profession; including how he obtained a coveted role in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise starring Johnny Depp. What a guest! Another really powerful episode dealt with gambling, or as guest Carl put it, the gaming industry. Carl, explained how he entered the industry in which, as he put it, gave him a good life. However, Carl was keen to leave listeners with no doubt that the industry always wins! Noting the now, all pervasive aspect of gambling in our daily lives, Carl provided his email to listeners at the end his discussion with Carlton. Carl wished to offer assistance to anyone who might be addicted to the industries multitude of present day offerings. Looking back over this season we also brought a ‘Windrush Special' to listeners. In this must hear episode, Carlton spoke to several 95 year old West Indian women who were children of the British Empire. Listeners learn how for 400 years they were British citizens and through their early lives believed they were no different than any other Brit. We hear of the women's arrival from the Caribbean in the late 1940's early 1950's in what they universally called ‘the Mother Country' - England. We hear of the old ladies bewilderment when regular British people didn't see them as fellow Brits, even though, at the same time they had more racial freedom in Britain than in their Caribbean homelands. Most, if not all British Caribbean colonies had in place a quasi-apartheid system, with White Caribbean citizens or British expatriates at the top of society and Blacks at the bottom, with mixed race citizens somewhere in the middle with Indians and other imperial subjects. This season also saw the great interview with author and firearms armourer, Did's Hall. This episode dug deep into the issue of arming the British police, the difference between armed and non armed policing and the frankly surprising Hollywood shooting incident concerning the well known Hollywood ‘A' list actor, Alex Baldwin. Throughout every episode Carlton always made the connection between the regular world and the secret world of intelligence, national security, armed governmental close protection operations and geo-politics. To this end Carlton had an awesome sit down with veteran BBC reporter, ITV World in Action presenter and stalwart BBC flagship geopolitical investigative prime time programme presenter and producer of Panorama, John Ware. This full blown deep dive into the secret world of agents and intelligence gathering surrounding the Northern Ireland conflict, as well as John's actions in getting MI5 senior officer, Peter Wright's memoir “Spycatcher” published, was fascinating. This was a truly great episode. However, for those seeking an even greater view into the real clandestine world of terrorism, surveillance, secret intelligence, national security and armed governmental personal protection operations, the two last episodes of this season fully delivered. These episodes delved deep into the little known secret world of Scotland Yard's Special Branch during Carlton sit down with ex Detective Inspector, Bob Pugh. Bob spent 35 years in MPSB (the Metropolitan Police Special Branch) headquartered at the world famous Scotland Yard. ‘The Branch', Britain's Secret Police which was disbanded in 2006, had performed this national security role for more than 125 years, prior to it being disbanded, so Carlton and Bob, who were both long term senior members of The Branch, had much to discuss. For any person with an interest in the clandestine world of spies and spy catchers Bob episodes are an unbelievable must listen experience. This overview episode which explains these discussions in some depth, is consequently another Black Spy Podcast episode that educates whilst listeners are being simultaneously entertained. 'The Branch' (Part 2) Season 2, Episode 0010 DI Bob Pugh, recollects his 35 years in Scotland Yard's Special Branch (MPSB), Britain's secret police Again this week's episode brings listeners a practically never before heard view from behind the scenes in the secret world of Scotland Yard's Special Branch. Formed in 1883, before the existence of the Security Service (MI5) in 1909, and The Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) in 1911, the Metropolitan Police Special Branch was Britain's first accredited internal secret service. Tasked with upholding the national security of the United Kingdom, The Branch would later share this role with MI5. However, because MI5 is not a law enforcement unit and therefore has no police powers of arrest or compunction, the Security Service has always required the assistance of the Branch or the police in general. Again in this week's episode, Bob Pugh an ex Detective Inspector in the Branch, recollects his 35 years in MPSB and the exploits he undertook in the many departments and sections of The Branch. This continues the fascinating discussion form last week, so for anybody who has any interest in the covert world of national security, secret intelligence and allied geopolitics it's another must listen show. In this second part of this two week discussion, we learn about MPSB's close protection role and we touch on its deep cover activities. We also continue to touch on the Branch's investigative, secret intelligence and national security roles and the reasons for the Branch's eventual disbandment. We speak of Scotland Yard Special Branch officers bodyguard and its, and the Branch's successor organisation - SO1. We speak of the Branch's/SO1's responsibility for providing armed personal protection to Britain's highest ranking politicians (The Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary, Defence and Home Secretaries etc.) and UK wide responsibility for protecting visiting foreign Presidents, Prime Ministers and politically active Kings, Queens as well as other senior foreign politicians officially visiting the UK. Once again we see why the Black Spy Podcast provides listeners with unrivalled access to the secret clandestine world, whilst also informing and entertaining. So subscribe not to miss an episode. The Black Spy Podcast Season 2, Episode 0009 'The Branch' DI Bob Pugh, recollects his 35 years in Scotland Yard's Special Branch (MPSB), Britain's secret police This week's episode brings listeners a practically never before heard view of behind the scenes in the secret world of The Branch. Formed in 1883 before the existence of the Security Service (MI5) in 1909, and The Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) in 1911, the Metropolitan Police Special Branch was Britain's first accredited internal secret service. In this week's episode, Bob Pugh an ex Detective Inspector in the Branch, recollects his 35 years in MPSB and the exploits he undertook in the many departments and sections of The Branch. This is a fascinating discussion for anybody who has at least the slightest interest in the covert world of national security, secret intelligence and allied geopolitics. In this discussion, which lasts over two episodes, we learn how MPSB officers were recruited, the examinations they had to pass to be selected, the vetting system officers had to undergo to be granted unfettered access to the top secret information, documentation and intelligence MPSB officers required to undertake their national security task. We also learn of the investigative, secret intelligence and national security training MPSB officers had to undergo to gain the level of competence required to perform counter intelligence, counter subversion, counter terrorism, counter extremism and counter proliferation roles undertaken by Scotland Yard's Special Branch. Moreover, many Scotland Yard Special Branch officers additionally underwent high level bodyguard and surveillance training as MPSB had the national responsibility for combatting Irish Republican extremism/terrorism and global responsibility for providing personal armed protection to Britain's top politicians (The Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary, Defence and Home Secretaries etc.) and UK wide responsibility for protecting visiting foreign Presidents, Prime Ministers and politically active Kings, Queens as well as other senior foreign politicians officially visiting the UK. The Black Spy Podcast, Season 2, episode 0001 'Brexit, empire, the Traitor King & paedophilia in high office' This hard hitting discussion with author, publisher, historian and the best selling literary agent in the world, Andrew Lownie, delves deep into Britain's past present and future, as uncomfortable histories are brought out into the cold light of day. From skeletons in the Royal cupboard - treachery with Hitler and paedophilia at the highest military rank – to the Empire, Brexit and free trade verses protectionism the discussion freely meanders around the question of what are actual state and national security secrets as opposed to attempts to prevent 'individual' embarrassment. The episode also discusses changes in the British civil service, the increased prominence of SPADs (Special Advisors) and the competence of ministers within the British governmental system. Moreover, the programme assesses the importance of Scotland Yard's Special Branch as a one time long standing security service within the 'British police'. Furthermore, the discussion touches on the danger to all British intelligence and security services, of outing MPSB officers. As, if the UK can out its own clandestine officers, then how future agents have confidence that British intelligence will protect them. Such actions are a clear death knell, for any country's intelligence and security agencies. In this extended episode listeners truly learn how difficult it normally is to gain an insight into the secret world as Andrew explains what he did to gain the knowledge he required to write his in-depth biographies. If you're seriously interested in the clandestine world, this episode is a must hear and its revelations will inform and educate many, if not most listeners about matters long hidden from view. Andrew now awaits the result of a very personally expensive legal adjudication concerning he right to obtain access to Lord Mountbatten's public dairies. Papers which could shine an even brighter light on some of his questionable activities! Carlton intends to have Andrew back on The Black Spy Podcast when this occurs. The Registry Files are the huge database of secret files Special Branch keep on anything it considers seditions. They are the documents that the undercover officers from the Special Demonstration Squad and the National Public Order Intelligence Unit contributed to. We're joined by Donal O'Driscoll From the Undercover Research Group to chat about how we've long believed these files existed, but that through recent revelations from the Undercover Policing Inquiry, we have been able to learn some specifics about them.
