Der Release von The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom am 12.05.2023 steht kurz bevor und wir geben unsere Eindrücke zum letzten Gameplay und Trailer preis. ARK II wurde irgendwie verschoben und allgemein läuft es bei einigen Titeln nicht so ganz rund in letzter Zeit. Bei Microsoft machte sich wohl auch Unzufriedenheit breit. Phil Spencer nahm sich in einem ausgiebigen Interview Zeit für Fragen und Antworten. Auch der Release von Redfall war Thema, wie auch die Blockade der britischen Wettbewerbs- und Marktbehörde (CMA) zur Aneignung von Activision Blizzard durch Microsoft. Das künstliche Intelligenzen mittlerweile auch in der Mitte der Gesellschaft angekommen sind, bewies zuletzt ChatGPT immer wieder. Ob das gut oder eher schlecht ist ... werden wir noch langfristig sehen. Aber auch in der Entwicklung von Videospielen verfestigt sich der Einsatz der KI. In wie weit sich der jahrelang Einsatz bei Sony zum Thema Live-Service-Spielen auszahlt wissen wir nicht, aber Herman Hulst (Leiter der PlayStation Studios) gab in einem Interview folgendes Preis: nicht alles ist gleich Fortnite. Zudem gab es abermals neue Gerüchte um eine PlayStation 5 Pro mit einem abnehmbaren Laufwerk. Das war aber noch nicht alles: Media Molecule beendet den Support bei Dreams, Capcom will 10 Millionen Einheiten von Street Fighter 6 verkaufen, der Super Mario Bros. Film geht komplett durch die Decke und der Release von Armored Core VI ist für August geplant. TV in the 70's had its share of Sci-Fi even before Star Wars. Some of it may have been cheesy and kitschy, but it was loads of fun! Jay and Shua find a treasure trove of Disco-ey science fiction and don their sparkly bell bottoms on Enjoy Stuff   Did you grow up in the 70's? If so, you probably watched more Sci-Fi on TV than you remember. This series may be a parody, but it honors all the Trek shows with references and care. Check it out on Paramount+. Jay has been watching some Jackie Chan flicks. Supercop was the third in a series of Chan films that showcased his stunt work and karate ability. Oh wait, they all did that... Enjoy TV Sci-Fi has been around for generations. And it really gathered some steam after Star Wars came out in 1977. But there certainly was some interesting stuff on television in the early 70's. Saturday mornings had some great kid-centered cartoons like Sealab 2020, but Sid and Marty Krofft had some live action classics like Land of the Lost, The Lost Saucer, and the wacky Far Out Space Nuts.    Ark II and Jason of Star Command used a slightly bigger budget to enhance their effects, but they had their share of kitsch too. As kids, we didn't care. We loved the imaginative adventures.    In syndication, we got some anime like Battle of the Planets and Star Blazers. Star Trek the Animated Series kept the Trek Dream alive.    Prime time TV kept trying to figure out exactly what Sci-Fi was with early showings such as Land of the Giants, Space: 1999, The Six Million Dollar Man, and the Bionic Woman. But as George Lucas unleashed his vision upon the world, the later 70's showed us Sci-Fi juxtaposed in just about every genre of TV entertainment.    Comedies like Mork and Mindy and Quark kept us laughing. Hour long cinematic stories like Battlestar Galactica, Logan's Run, and Buck Rogers experimented with episodic drama mixed with cheesy 70's humor and music.   There were so many different shows to choose from! Soundtrack composer Gareth Coker says he never imagined that the game series would not only continue for so long, but that it would also become an animated series, and spawn a sequel: ARK II. As Genesis Part 2 wraps up, the arch-nemesis Edmund Rockwell has become integrated into the ship that houses the last of humanity, and some incredible dinosaurs.

Once again, Gareth was able to use a large orchestra, including 24 brass players, and record at London's famed Abbey Road Studios. He says the guidance he gave to get a huge sound from the brass section was to imagine "dinosaurs in space." Gareth says that although players might have been drawn to the ARK series initially because they can tame dinosaus, or battle them, the developers realized they have a great story to tell, and the first part of ARK is in development as an animated series featuring A-List voice actors including David Tennant and
