Peymon Mottahedeh - Founder of Freedom Law SchoolPeymon Mottahedeh, an Iranian-born Jewish immigrant, moved to the United States in 1977 and soon after became disillusioned with what he saw as discrepancies between America's ideals and its realities, especially within its financial and governance systems. This prompted him to delve deeper into American law and governance, ultimately leading him to establish the Freedom Law School in 1996, which aims to educate U.S. citizens about tax law and their related obligations. Holding a degree in Business/Marketing from the University of Long Beach, Peymon's earlier professional experiences in the mortgage industry and financial planning gave him unique insights into the financial mechanisms that underpin federal systems. Today, he is a prominent speaker and educator, especially known for his discovery and understanding of the history of the Federal Reserve and the IRS, and he actively promotes a better understanding of tax law through his numerous educational campaigns and seminars, empowering thousands to better understand tax law.Joe Banister:Joe Banister - Former IRS Agent and Tax Reform AdvocateJoe Banister, who began his IRS career in 1993 after earning an accounting degree from San Jose State University and working as a Certified Public Accountant, is now a leading critic of the Federal Income Tax. His transformation from an IRS enforcement officer to whistleblower was sparked by his discovery of systemic issues he perceived within the agency, leading to his resignation in 1999. Since leaving the IRS, Banister has made significant contributions to the public's understanding of the U.S. tax system through his book, "Investigating The Federal Income Tax: A Report To The American People." He remains actively engaged in the debate over tax reform, frequently appearing on radio shows and documentaries to share his insights and advocate for change.DESCRIPTION:Alfredo Luna Jr., a decorated Marine Combat Veteran and awarded the Law Enforcement Medal of Valor and survived 4 shootings as a cop. What is all this about with President Trump's truth social posting about creating an External Revenue Service…Shortly after resigning from the IRS, Joe Banister's transition from IRS insider to whistleblower and tax education advocate was greatly influenced by a pivotal call with Bill Conklin. Conklin recommended that Banister reach out to Peymon Mottahedeh for guidance and support. Mottahedeh then became a crucial ally, providing Banister with essential information and a network of trusted contacts, including experts, activists, and former officials like G Edward Griffin, Ron Paul, Attorney Larry Becraft, and Ted Gunderson. With expertise in constitutional and tax law, Becraft and Gunderson, a former FBI agent, were particularly instrumental in helping Banister gain credibility and navigate his new role within a community skeptical of his former IRS position. Sam Toles is a social media expert having worked for large entertainment companies like Bleacher Report, MGM, and Warner Music, as well as Vimeo. He was also served as an elected councilmember for the California community of Cathedral City. He is passionate about social media and the public sector, but believes that most communities across the country are doing social media wrong. That is why he launched his new firm, CiviSocial. In this two part series we are going to discuss why communities are failing, how they can silence the haters, create passionate boosters, and what platforms are trending up and down when it comes to reach and influence. He also thinks communities that hire consultants to run their social media platforms are wasting their money. In Part 2, we are going to dive into a discussion about how elected officials get spun up by negative comments on social media and what can be done to minimize their overreaction to the trolls. We will also announce a special promotional offer for listeners of the podcast in Part 2. After a 14-year Meditation Journey, Philip experientially realized the nature of the True Self which referred to itself as Infinite Silence. In his former life, Philip was a Chartered Civil Engineer and Operating Group Director of a large business. In 2000 in response to dreaming about work on a skiing holiday Philip began Meditation. Ultimately, this led him to leave his old world behind in 2009 at the height of his career to focus on a deep inner calling. Since 2014 he has shared the gift of Self Realization with the world in ways led by Meditative Insight through direct experience of the Infinite Silence Meditation, Spiritual Inquiry, Infinite Touch and via his website and other outlets. His style is simple, compassionate and offers exquisite clarity. His sharing is all based on direct experience, is not rooted in any tradition and is ideal for the present era. Unexpectedly, Philip was both inspired and invited to offer events in person in the UK, Iceland, Greece (Corfu and Crete) and Amsterdam and globally online. Philip lives near the small but very beautiful Cathedral City of Ripon, North Yorkshire, England. With his Wife Sue, they have created a purpose-built Meditation space for events. He light-heartedly calls it the Universal Studio! Because of the misunderstandings and spiritual blocks that can be associated with them he has never been a fan of labels people have called him, including Guru, Teacher, and Master. Recently (late 2021) in meditation it was made clear the term Western Mystic was to be used. Whilst the ‘Western' term is, in truth, superfluous the intention that was made clear was to draw out the fact that his sharing is all rooted in direct experience and is he is not ‘schooled' in Eastern Teachings. Experience has shown that this has made the material accessible to a broad audience. His message focuses on helping people recognize, inquire into, and experience the absolute simplicity and power of the Infinite Silence that is our true essence. Website - includes: A link to a free Meditations Site Many free resources An Online Retreat in your own time for a nominal donation Insight Timer App - over 50 free Tracks - Includes a freely available LiveStream Self Realisation Programme with accompanying Infinite Silence Meditations (0.25 hours to 1.5 hours). LinkedIn - More recent addition (called for from the Silence) with a series of ‘journeys' posts to invite people to explore. Our wedding in Las Vegas and our honeymoon in California. Leah and Shawn flew to Las Vegas to get married. After spending a few days in Sin City, they drove to Cathedral City, California. This episode of the Soul Forge is a day by day recap of their adventures. May 2nd and 3rd: The first day was a travel day. Major delays were the main topic of conversation. Mechanical problems caused a 7 hour delay in travel. The second day was much better. The couple got their marriage license. The line was huge. The heat in Nevada is very different from that in Florida. Supper at Bubba Gump Shrimp was decent. May 4th: Wedding day finds Leah stuffed up and sniffling. The hotel mattress was uncomfortable and the temperature was all over the place. Leah had her makeup done at a beauty school while Shawn and Wyatt picked up their rental car. It was a Mustang! Shawn and Wyatt went toy shopping and picked up comics and hot wheels. Leah and Shawn were married that afternoon. Dinner was at Triple George Grill. May 5th: A full day of shopping. We visited the Coca-Cola store on the Las Vegas strip. We also went to the Hershey store, the M&Ms shop and the Stranger Things Netflix store. Freemont Street was dirty and busy. The premium outlets were full of moments. The Ocean One Bar and Grill was amazing. May 6th: We finally left Las Vegas. Before we did though, we visited the Antique Mall of America. It was huge and we probably spent over 2 hours in there. Afterwards, we drove the 4 hours to Palm Springs. The scenery was beautiful, almost as if you were driving towards a gigantic painting. Cathedral City is a warm and comfortable town. May 7th: We explored the town and area. The roads were fantastic. The thrifting and antique shopping was also amazing. So much fun sticking around our home base. May 8th: A thrilling drive to Knott's Berry Farm. The highways in California are atrocious. Super busy, congested and full of accidents and slow-downs. The amusement park was fun. May 9th: The wedding week adventures are coming to an end. We visited the graves of Frank Sinatra and Sonny Bono. Afterwards we enjoyed a couple's massage. Then we had a nap and some drinks. May 10th: Homeward bound. An early drive to the San Diego airport. We took an alternate route. While it was quite beautiful, it was also treacherously windy and hilly. We were separated for 4 hours on the first plane ride. Fun, but exhausting. We are married! #coach #hotwheels #strangerthings #shakeshack #bubbagumpshrimp #lasvegas #mustang #starwarsday #triplegeorgegrill #coke #hershey #m&ms #disney #puma #vercini #hottopic #lush #tesla #miraclemile  #palmsprings #antiques #songofthesouth #volkswagen #elcamino #cowboys #anxiety #depression #whiskey  #walmart #thrifting #money #knottsberryfarm #themepark #california #amazonprime #rollercoasters #podcast  #startrek #doctorwho #franksinatra #sonnybono  This week's podcast promos: Earth Station DCU, Earth Station Trek, Earth Station Who

It was a first day of school a classroom of third graders will probably never forget. When the teacher was reportedly acting weird, a school official checked in and thought the teacher smelled of booze. Then after denying she had been drinking that day, she blew three times the legal limit on a breathalyzer. And the clean-up continues in the wake of tropical storm Hilary which dumped nearly a year's worth of rain in some areas in just a matter of hours. One of those places was Cathedral City, near Palm Springs, where desert sands were transformed into dangerous mud. At one assisted living facility, they needed earth movers to rescue some of the elderly residents. Plus, in the heat of the summer, there's nothing more refreshing than ice cream. However, there was something terribly wrong at one ice cream shop - three people died and six others ended up in the hospital after having milkshakes. And she's a former juvenile court judge now starring on her own TV show. And she's a victim of groping and she says it left her shattered. Judge Hatchett was assaulted by, of all people, a local sheriff. Now he's out of a job…and the judge is speaking with our Les Trent.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week, Yergy and Drewby take a break from true crime to pay tribute to the legend known as Billy Herrington, highlighting his early work in male adult entertainment, and his unexpected rise to internet fame in Asia, and later the rest of the world, through the internet phenomena of Gachimuchi.   Billy Herrington was born in North Babylon, New York, and grew up on Long Island learning karate from his father, who was a sensei. He had interests in boxing, wrestling and martial arts, but did not start bodybuilding until he was 24 years old, after moving to New York City. Herrington began his career when his then girlfriend from Long Island submitted his pictures to Playgirl magazine. The photographs won him a "Real Men of the Month" contest and a $500.00 prize. His appearance in the magazine caught the eye of famed photographer Jim French, but it was two years before Herrington posed for his first Colt calendars for French. Soon after, Herrington was filming adult films for All Worlds Video, and appearing on mainstream TV programs such as Love Connection and the Ricki Lake talk show.    Herrington gained fame in Japan as an Internet meme, after a clip from one of his videos was posted on Nico Nico Douga, a Japanese video sharing website. Thousands of mash-up parody videos of him have been made, many of which utilize deliberate mishearings of lines from his films. He is affectionately called "Aniki," or "older brother," among the Nico Nico Douga community, and most of his videos are deliberately mistagged with "Wrestling Series," "Forest Fairy," "Philosophy," or all three, later these videos would crossover to Youtube as well as Twitch through streamers like Forsen, and Gachimuchi would gain international popularity alongside the Catalina Video meme craze.   On February 14th, 2009, Herrington visited Japan after he was invited to make an appearance in a special Nico Nico Douga livecast for Valentine's Day. According to the YouTube video description, more than 10,000 fans of Billy Herrington showed up at the Nico Nico Douga event in Tokyo's Akihabara district. On the same day as the event, Japanese model kit makers Good Smile Company announced that they would manufacture a limited-edition Billy Herrington action figure. During the evening of March 1, 2018, Herrington was involved in a car accident on California State Route 111 in Rancho Mirage. He was found trapped in the wreckage and was brought to a Palm Springs hospital, where he died the next day. On March 3rd, film director Chi Chi LaRue tweeted a memorial tweet for Herrington, which gained over 4,000 retweets and over 1,500 likes in less than 12 hours. Shortly after, Herrington's mother, confirmed the death in a Facebook post which received over 1,400 reactions over the same time, revealing he died in a car accident. Fans responded with hundreds of tributes across video sharing sites and message boards. One tribute video uploaded on Nico Nico Douga accumulated over 80,000 views in less than one week. Herrington was buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cathedral City, California.
