Is the Evora enough of an assault on its driver's senses? Derek isn't a fan of the Elise because of the sounds its creaky body and rattly interior make — he loves a great GT. Is the Evora comfortable enough? Luckily, the boys have a clear answer to the question: Lotus Evora or Porsche 911? And then a unanimous decision on the Lotus Eletre, the brand's first SUV: it drives unlike anything else. Jason drove the Eletre as a surprise — without knowing anything about it. A Lotus engineer told the boys it was a 905-hp Eletre R with 3 motors and torque vectoring. Turns out the 905 hp comes from 2 motors, and what Jason felt and described as the most obvious torque-vectoring he's ever felt is actually rear-wheel steering. Whatever the cause, the boys both enjoy the SUV's maneuverability and outrageous speed (Lotus claims 0-60 in under 3 seconds.) Is there a future for Lotus in a heavy-EV world? There shouldn't be. You can be like them by clicking here.  Tesla started delivering its first Model Y's with a BYD Blade battery from Giga Berlin this week. A customer has already received and registered one of these German Model Y RWDs. This model is equipped with a new BYD battery that, upon quick testing, has reported positive results. The charge rate hit 172kW at 25% state of charge and stayed there until 50%.  Geely has started shipping its new Zeekr 001 model, powered by the latest CATL "Kirin" battery. This model, boasting the longest range among electric vehicles in the Chinese market, 641 miles (1,032 km) with a 140 kWh battery.  XPeng has announced that the first production model of its G6 SUV has begun leaving the manufacturing line. The G6 is scheduled to be formally launched and delivered by the end of the second quarter, with a price range of 200,000 to 300,000 yuan ($28,450).  XPeng sees the Tesla Model Y as the primary rival for the G6.  SAIC has cut the prices of several of its small electric vehicles (EVs) to promote their use in rural areas. The firm announced price reductions of up to 13,000 yuan ($1,850) for models in its Hongguang Mini EV family (15.7%).  In April, the sale of fully electric vehicles in China reached 444,000 units, constituting 25% of the country's auto market. An additional 165,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles sold during the month pushed the overall market share of plug-in or new energy vehicles to 34%.  In Shanghai participation in the May auction for gasoline vehicle licence plates fell to a 99-month low. Shanghai began giving free licence plates to buyers of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) in 2022. From January 2023, PHEVs were treated like conventional internal combustion engine vehicles, and owners will need to purchase licence plates via competitive bidding.  BMW has announced plans to start assembling its electrified Neue Klasse vehicles and their batteries in China from 2026. These next-generation electric vehicles (EVs) will be produced by BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA).  Swiss company Holcim will buy 1,000 Volvo electric trucks. The first 130 trucks are set to be delivered in 2023 and 2024. By replacing 1,000 current Volvo FH diesel trucks with 1,000 Volvo FH Electric trucks using green power on a typical route, up to 50,000 tonnes of CO2 could be saved annually.  VinFast has confirmed the arrival of its second shipment of VF8 EVs, including 1,879 longer-range vehicles, following an initial dispatch of 999 VF 8 City Edition SUVs in December 2022. VF8 Eco and VF8 Plus trim levels are EPA-rated at 264 miles and 243 miles, respectively.  Lotus is preparing to launch the Type 133, positioned as a rival to the Porsche Taycan. Spy photos suggest the Type 133 will feature a modern style, a sloping roof, and design elements drawn from the Evija and Eletre. The 112kWh battery pack from the Eletre will reportedly be included in the Type 133, potentially providing the sleek saloon with a range of over 400 miles.  Northvolt has completed the construction of its energy storage system (ESS) manufacturing plant in Poland and anticipates launching production by the end of 2023.  Tensions are escalating between Washington and Brussels over a plan to make European manufacturers eligible for U.S. electric car tax incentives. This deadlock is expected to prolong negotiations beyond the summer, potentially disadvantaging European manufacturers in the American auto market.

本文章发布于订阅号：百车全说，订阅号阅读更加方便，欢迎关注。喜马拉雅文稿更新，在12月19日左右。很久没有说过跑车了，最近一段时间聊得要么是家用车，要么是新能源车，是时候该提升一下听友的口味了。说起跑车，大家都会清一色的想到法拉利、兰博基尼这些欧盟品牌，但是一定不能少了英国，提到英国跑车，可能你会想到迈凯伦，但是别忘了，还有一个品牌，那就是路特斯。正好前段时间，路特斯发布了旗下首款SUV产品ELETRE，也是一款纯电车型，在国内目前推出了两个版本，S+车型82.8万元起，R+车型102.8万元起。这车一上市，网上就炸开了锅，说路特斯一个跑车品牌，现在竟然堕落到生产SUV了？还是个纯电？这里面不光有键盘侠，还有很多老的路特斯跑车车主也说道，之前他花60万买了Elise，是一台英国产的纯正路特斯跑车，现在花100万竟然只能买一台武汉造的电动路特斯SUV？也可能有些听友听半天，不知道今天聊的这是什么品牌的什么车型？如果你或者你家孩子玩和平精英，你可以问问他，说不定他都比你了解。因为路特斯跟和平精英合作，付费玩家可以在游戏里买到路特斯ELETRE当做自己的载具。我今天写稿的时候，就把我女儿叫到电脑前，问她认不认识这款车。她脱口而出，这是莲花。所以这期节目我们就来好好聊聊路特斯这个品牌有什么特色？吉利现在到底是什么关系？以及ELETRE有哪些亮点，定价到底算不算贵？路特斯品牌的特色是什么？每个汽车品牌都有自己的特点，比如说到奔驰大家就会想到豪华，不管是上到S级还是下到A级和C级，在同级里奔驰的产品就是设计的很豪华，双联屏的热潮就是从奔驰这里开始的。而说到宝马就会想到运动，即便现在宝马的主销车型都很舒适，比如这一代的3系，但是这依然不能撼动蓝天白云在消费者心中运动的形象，因为它上面的M POWER变得越来越强。尤其是这一代的S58发动机，虽然原厂出来510匹，但是只要刷个一阶就轻松能到600匹左右，再加上四驱系统，就能让M4百公里加速跑到3秒以内，着实很夸张。而说到沃尔沃就会想到安全，连车标都自带安全带，你说它安全不安全？那说到路特斯，估计很多人不知道，它最大的亮点是空气动力学。没错，可能在日常生活中尤其是城市里感受不深，但是一旦到了赛车场上，空气动力学就变得尤为重要。就比如F1赛车，车重才750公斤，但是它却能以一百甚至200公里每小时的速度过弯，靠的是车重吗？当然不是，大部分靠的还是空气动力学，利用各种空气学套件，比如前铲、尾翼、侧翼、扩散器等，通过空气的下压力来让车辆紧贴地面。所以很多人觉得车子越重跑起来就越稳，是个错误的想法。莲花汽车创始人科林·查普曼说过，增加动力让你在直道更快，而减轻重量可以让你在任何地方更快。路特斯对空气动力学的贡献是很大的。比如在1957年问世的路特斯Elilte，车身的风阻系数只有0.29，别说当时了，这个数据放到现在也依然很厉害，同时外观造型也很时尚新颖，并没有为了风阻系数刻意妥协。（1957年的Elite）更关键的是，路特斯那时候还是一个小厂，1952年才成立，那时候没有风洞实验室，因此这台车的设计师只依靠丰富的飞机设计经验就设计出了这么一款车，不得不佩服人家的功力深厚。并且，它的最大特点是玻璃纤维硬壳式车身，这也是第一辆应用复合材料车身和底盘的汽车。到了1962年的F1大奖赛上，路特斯推出了创新性的TYPE 25车型，它就是首款摒弃了传统的管状空间框架底盘，采用硬壳结构的单体承载式车身的F1赛车，说通俗点就是一体式车身结构。这样的结构带来的最大好处就是减少了车体空间，也减轻了车身重量，同时还提升了整车的刚性和强度。（TYPE 52）现在的F1赛车平均体重在750公斤左右，而路特斯TYPE 25只有恐怖的451公斤，再加上它200马力的最大输出，推重比达到了443.5马力/吨。此外，还有轰动一时的查普曼悬架。查普曼就是路特斯的创始人，在当时，他脑洞大开地用驱动轴充当了悬架控制臂，从而减少了悬挂的零件个数和重量，并应用于Lotus Type 12和Type 14的后悬挂。不久后又被ELAN上的升级版所取代。（查普曼悬架）在1968年，路特斯还破天荒的在F1赛场上首次应用了定风尾翼的设计，就是为了抵抗赛车高速行驶下产生的升力。当然，灵感也是来源于飞机。到了1970年的F1西班牙大奖赛，路特斯推出的Type 72在车头处还采用了创新的楔形设计。（TYPE 72）所以有了定风尾翼和楔形车头的加持，路特斯TYPE 72在五年里拿了两届车手总冠军、三届车队总冠军和20场分站赛冠军。而且从外形上看，它应该算得上是近代F1造型的鼻祖，也是人类历史上最伟大的F1赛车之一。真要论资排辈，现在所有车上装的尾翼的起源都来自路特斯，当然还有后扩散器。所以路特斯绝对是妥妥的空气动力学之王，没有之一。（TYPE 72）为什么吉利要收购路特斯？意义在哪里？不过目前来看，路特斯的辉煌只能留在过去了。因为自从1982年，54岁的路特斯创始人查普曼因心脏病去世后，路特斯的辉煌便一去不复返，此时公司的财务已是满目疮痍。后来又经过十几年的残喘，1996年终于被宝腾汽车收购。（柯林·查普曼）可能很多人到现在都没听过宝腾汽车是什么。宝腾汽车诞生于1983年，是马来西亚前总理马哈蒂尔一手创立的国民汽车品牌。说到这里，肯定也要提一下当时的黑历史青年莲花。不少80后当时在买车时应该都听过青年莲花这个品牌，没错，就是宝腾汽车在收购了路特斯之后，把Lotus的使用权卖给了中国品牌青年汽车，才有了青年莲花。但为什么宝腾汽车要好端端的把路特斯的使用权卖给国内的品牌呢？目的只有一个，那就是卖车。相信很多冲着莲花名号的年轻人跑到青年莲花的4S店后，估计瞬间会被泼一盆冷水。你以为青年莲花卖得都是纯正的路特斯跑车，极致的操控再加不可妥协的轻量化，结果看到的却是和丰田卡罗拉一样的普通A级家用轿车，开起来还没飞度运动，估计10个人有9个都要直呼，好一个挂羊头卖狗肉。也是从那时起，让国内的消费者对于路特斯有了很大的误解，以为青年莲花就是路特斯莲花，这个品牌可以说就是毁在了宝腾手里。宝腾公司才不管莲花品牌的死活，在咱们国内卖的青年莲花L3的原型车就是宝腾Gen-2。所以很快，青年莲花就因为销量不行倒闭了。后来在2017年6月，吉利收购了路特斯。不过准确来说，是吉利收购了宝腾汽车49.9%的股份，顺势把宝腾汽车掌控路特斯的51%股份收入囊中。之所以吉利会这么做，有两点好处。一是宝腾汽车是马来西亚的国民品牌，所以可以借助宝腾品牌在马来西亚，甚至整个东南亚的影响力扩大吉利海外的市场。毕竟在东南亚，性价比高的车是很吃香的。二是因为路特斯不管是车身轻量化技术、底盘调教技术、赛车运动以及文化都是世界一流的，虽然现在不行了，但是之前好歹也是和法拉利、保时捷一起并称为世界三大跑车制造商，瘦死的骆驼也比马大，现在不少国家的车迷依然还深爱着路特斯。所以吉利既可以借助路特斯的技术来提升自己品牌的运动性，因为在吉利的产品布局中，好像就差一个极为运动的跑车品牌了。还可以借助路特斯的影响把自己推向欧美等市场，再一次扩大自己的市场份额。所以这对于吉利来说意义重大，也可以说这一步棋走的一举两得。路特斯ELETRE定价到底贵不贵？路特斯就这样，先是被宝腾收购，再被吉利打包带走。不过最近这几年，有了吉利的支持后，万年不换代的路特斯竟然一口气停产了之前所有的产品，并且推出了全新的产品系列。其中就包括前段时间发布的一款全新纯电车型，也是路特斯的首款SUV车型ELETRE。不过它82.8-102.8万的定价也是让网友直呼贵。不过它到底贵不贵呢？有网友调侃，这车就是极氪王中王Plus Pro Max S Ultra British Edition版本，源自于吉利的浩瀚架构，造型还特别像东风风行T5 EVO，凭什么卖那么贵？当然也有人觉得：运动SUV造型、电吸门、后轮转向、无框电吸车门、空气悬挂、R+版零百加速2.95秒、极速260公里、电池112度、800伏充电平台、前后多连杆、双腔空气悬挂、48v主动防倾杆、CDC连续可调减震器、四条P0 Corsa轮胎、23个扬声器的KEF音响、双8155芯片、四颗激光雷达（顶部还能自动隐藏）等等，所有的一切他都非常满意，他甚至愿意再花钱选装四座，选装10活塞卡钳+陶瓷碳纤维的刹车系统。其实，Eletre这款车长度超过5米1，宽度超2米，轴距超3米，妥妥的中大型SUV了。而从外形和设计上来看，在这一级别的SUV里绝对算得上惊艳，巨大的多边形前保险杠非常夸张，引擎盖上还有两个巨大的通风口。车尾造型也是很有肌肉感，不管是宽大的分体式顶翼还是可升降的尾翼都给你配全了，要知道比它贵好几倍的兰博基尼URUS和法拉利PUROSANGUE可没有电动尾翼。所以从外观上来看，ELETRE没有给空气动力学出身的路特斯丢脸。不过总感觉它和兰博基尼URUS、法拉利PUROSANGUE有点神似。包括内饰上，设计地也很战斗。所以如果你拿路特斯ELETRE去对比兰博基尼URUS和法拉利PUROSANGUE，你会觉得ELETRE就是白菜价。差不多的外观，差不多的内饰，差两倍的价格，不管它是电动还是燃油，买的人玩的就是它的设计和开在街上独一无二的新鲜感。其他人之前至少花300万才能装的x，我现在只要花100万就够了。再加上路特斯的品牌也有车迷是认可的，只要在这部分车迷中找出那些能够掏出将近100万的即可。至于这台车值不值100万，如果你不是车迷，肯定是觉得不值的，只有喜欢并且欣赏这个品牌的人才会觉得值。他们实际上就是希望在自己有生之年，车库里拥有过一台莲花，至于是油，是电，还是混动，其实无所谓。能买得起这款车的用户家里至少两台以上备用车，续航，充电，空间，保值率这些都不是影响决策的关键因素，感觉才是。我看了很多网友的评论，大部分网友，还是拿普通家用电动车的眼光去看它，那必然会觉得它价格真的很贵。因为，把它的每一项单独拎出来，都没有很惊艳。好像也只有100多万的R+版本的数据能拿得出手，双电机四驱，最大马力918匹，最大扭矩985牛米，百公里加速2.95秒。有人肯定要说这动力还不好吗？其实网友调侃的不是100多万这款，而是 80多万的S+版本，才 612匹，710牛米，零百加速4.5秒。肯定有人会说，现在30多万的电动车，都可以做到零百加速3秒多了呢。ELETRE R+售价102.8万，别忘了刚刚在上海进博会上亮相的特斯拉MODEL S/X PLAID，不是我吹，它俩可是三电机四驱，最大马力1020匹，百公里加速2.1秒。更夸张的是它的后段加速也异常的凶猛，400米加速只要9.3秒。国外网友拿MODEL S PLAID和布加迪跑过，布加迪依然甘拜下风，而且特斯拉这两台车，它的最高车速能到322KM/H。就是不知道引入国内，消费者敢不敢买，快是挺快，刹不刹得住呢？如果莲花的创始人还在世的话，看到特斯拉发展到今天，他可能会后悔当初把Elise拿给特斯拉，改造成了特斯拉第一款电动车Roadster.但现实就是这样，虽然ELETRE的马力很大，但是整备质量却有3吨，所以真正测起来，R+的百公里应该在3秒出头。性能上完全比不过105.999万的特斯拉MODEL S PLAID。而且，ELETRE看似搭载了112度的宁德时代三元锂电池，CLTC官方续航为S+ Show #1420 Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily, you trusted source of EV information. It's Wednesday 30th March, it's Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to. LOTUS ELETRE OPENS A NEW FRONT IN ELECTRIC SUVS - the new era of Lotus as an EV maker begins with this, the Eletre. It takes elements we've seen on the Evija battery-electric hypercar and Emira ICE sports car, wraps them in a larger package, jacks them up, and throws in a lot of new tech for the brand and the market. - The Eletre is 201 inches long on a 118.9-inch wheelbase, about 79 inches wide, and 64 inches high. Every one of those dimensions puts the Lotus within a couple of inches of the Aston Martin DBX - All we're told is the pack is more than 100 kWh and output starts at 600 horsepower. Every Eletre is all-wheel-drive, with a motor on each axle. - The 800-volt electrical architecture can handle up to 350-kW fast-charging, 20 minutes at a station at that charge rate restoring 248 WLTP miles of the Eletre's estimated 373-mile range in WLTP testing. 62 miles per hour in under 3 seconds and hit a top speed of 161 mph. - The electronic side mirror housings each contain three cameras, one camera for the rear views, one to help stitch a 360-degree overhead view, and one to help enable self-driving. - A slim gauge cluster and a head-up display provides the driver with relevant info, front passengers get a similar slim display that can display infotainment options. Between them, a 15.1-inch infotainment touchscreen that lays flat when not in use. Active ride height and active anti-roll bars, along with rear-wheel steering and torque vectoring will be available as options on the Eletre, along with 23-inch alloy wheels - Four different drive modes—Range, Tour, Sport and Off-Road—adjust steering and accelerator pedal response, along with damping rates and powertrain output. And Individual mode will allow drivers to mix and match some settings to suit their personal driving styles. - The four LIDAR units, one at the top of the windshield, one at the top of the backlight, and one on each front fender, are hidden when not in use, thus preserving the Eletre's svelte appearance. - For context, the Eletre has 2.1 inches more space between the axles than a Tesla Model X and is 2.6 inches longer overall and 0.8 inches lower. This is not a small Lotus. - The rear is dominated two large vents that are bridged by a thin light bar, and a roof spoiler system that comprises two carbon fibre winglets cantilevered from the roof cant rails. The winglets function just like a conventional, full-width roof spoiler, guiding airflow down the backlight and on to a spoiler that deploys out of the tailgate at speed. Even long after Bentley and Porsche brushed aside tradition and released their own first SUVs, Lotus remained a sports-car-only company. With SUVs becoming the dominant passenger vehicle type, it may have been inevitable that Lotus would eventually throw its hat into the ring. As might be expected, Lotus brought a lot of its old sports car tricks into the design and manufacturing of the Eletre. - Lotus says the Eletre features “extensive” use of carbon fiber and aluminum to keep the (still undisclosed) weight down. The exterior body panels are aluminum, and all the black exterior trim pieces, such as the wheel arches, rear spoiler, and side-view mirrors, are carbon fiber. Hard interior trim pieces are also carbon fiber, and the seats are wrapped in a wool-blend fabric that, according to Lotus, is 50 percent lighter than typical leather seating. - An active front grill comprises interconnected triangular panels which stay closed when the Eletre is stopped or when it needs to reduce aerodynamic drag and automatically open to scoop air to the radiator to cool the electric motors, battery pack, or front brakes when needed. During this locking and unlocking sequence, the active grill “breathes” as the illuminated flush-fitting door handles deploy, opening and closing the vented panels. According to Kyle Conner, the weather was perfect, maybe beside from some wind during part of the test. It was reported today that Denmark also hosted a delivery ceremony for the Giga Berlin-made Model Y, marking the first mention of international delivery of German-made vehicles. Five Model Y Performances are reported to have been delivered. - However, it turns out that before that, Tesla had already delivered Giga Berlin-made Model Ys domestically. @samuel_glb/Twitter tweeted that the German-made cars were delivered to the Mannheim delivery center to be handed over to the owners on March 29. The end of quarter travel is still going strong this week. Since our last regular episode Roberto has driven two new electric vehicles, the Lucid Air Dream Edition and the Nissan Ariya. Meanwhile, Sam having just returned from California on a red-eye talks about the Kia Sorento plug-in hybrid. Nicole was going the opposite direction from Sam and slid in late after being in transit from San Diego airport for the first part of the show.
