Fortuna Ehrenfeld ist eine der interessantesten Indie-Pop-Bands aus Deutschland. Dahinter steckt Martin Bechler, der mit Schlafanzug und Federboa auf der Bühne steht. Er ist der Kopf, der Texter, der Komponist. Erst mit Ende 40 hat er sich mit eigenen Songs in die Öffentlichkeit gewagt. Martin lässt sich gern von Emotionen überwältigen. Auf der Bühne, aber auch im echten Leben. Er ist ein Poet – nicht nur in seinen Songs, sondern auch im Alltag. Er besitzt Haltung und möchte andere mitreißen. Die Texte sind poetisch, skurril, witzig und wachrüttelnd. Die Songtitel heißen etwa „Grazie de la Kotze“, „Das letzte Kommando“ oder „Helm ab zum Gebet“.
