Summer has arrived for Miss Scofield and Mr. Lane the STEM Guy!!! They haven't recorded a pod since November. On this weeks episode they chat about the highlights of this past school year, their summer plans and preparing next school year. Miss Scofield shares about the impact having the seniors return to campus for the "Senior Walk," and the emotional toll it took on her and the students. This was the Covid group and for them to get the closure they all needed and finally to walk through the door of doom four years later meant the world to those students. Miss Scofield talks about how important it was to have a year built on relationships and a focus on #SEL in her 8th grade science classroom. Building these relationships has meant the world to her and more importantly her students. Mr. Lane the STEM Guy shares about his favorite weekend of the year taking students to AstroCamp and seeing the 8th graders step out of their comfort zones as they disconnect to connect.

Lynda is always talking about having a personal "LIFE STRATEGY". But how do you create one? In this series of 4 podcasts, she walks you through the 4 steps involved: 1) Why is it important for you to succeed in your life? 2) What do you actually want to achieve (finances, health, career, family, etc) 3) When do you want to achieve each milestone you will need? 4) How are you going to do it? Today's podcast covers Part 3 in the series.

In this episode, I sit down with the AMAZING & TALENTED Megan Shirley-Ross of Miss Megan’s Make Room! This North Dakota transplant has definitely spread her love of art in Lubbock for the last 3 years. Inside her magical art studio, she teaches kids (& adults) how they can be makers too and helps to build confidence and teach life lessons on patience and the acceptance of the imperfect! From the basics of drawing and painting, to more in depth lessons in screen printing and murals, Miss Megan always makes sure to add in some art history to each lesson. It was an honor to hear her story and visit her artistic little haven! Thank you, Miss Megan, for adding a unique cultural thread to the fabric of our art community!

You didn't come into this world knowing what or how to do things that make you successful. You have learned all your behaviors from other people. The question is, did you learn the best behaviors in order to succeed in life? If you are not as healthy and as wealthy and as happy as you can be, then it should be clear that you have the wrong habits. Listen to find out how to establish mental controls for yourself, in order to achieve the things you want.
In this podcast Marjorie King returns as a guest, discussing a recent mistake she made while implementing Lynda's plan for wealth creation. Lynda's belief is that you don't spend all your money paying down your debt while eating green beans and brown rice and driving a piece of junk car. That type of system is not sustainable. You need to be saving some and paying down your debt with some of the money you have allocated for your future. Watching your wealth begin to grow, and understanding the value of your money over time is an inspiring action!
Lynda discusses how to increase your wealth starting right now. There is a simple science to saving money and investing it for your future. It is not difficult when you know what to do and you practice doing it every day. The sacrifices you make today will not impact your life dramatically, but the wealth you can build by following these simple steps will greatly impact your future. It is just a question of doing the right things over time. Time is going to tick by either way, so you might as well build wealth for yourself!
In this podcast, Lynda explains why there is no reason to wait to begin saving for your future, to take steps to be healthier, to actively manage your career, or to engage in activities that will serve you. There is literally NO REASON TO WAIT! If you are waiting for a better salary to begin saving, a special event to start losing weight, or your next promotion to begin managing your career, you are never going to do any of these things. First you have to learn discipline by doing it on a small scale. Then you will be ready to do it on a large scale when the opportunity presents itself!

In this podcast, D.J. Anderson returns to the podcast as Lynda's guest for a second time. This episode looks at the steps D.J. is taking to move his life and career ahead in his mid-20's. There has never been a better time to be alive on this planet, and if you don't have opportunities in front of you, it is only because you are not looking hard enough. Building a life strategy is about taking specific actions to accomplish the goals you set for yourself.
In this podcast, Lynda shares a lesson she learned from the zebras at the Animal Kingdom safari. The zebras stay close to the giraffes and the wildebeests. Why? Because the giraffes are the first to see predators and sound an alarm, and the wildebeest are slower than the zebras, so when it is time to outrun the predators, the zebras are at the front of the herds. Lynda explains that you need to surround yourself with the people that can help you move toward your goals, and not people are going to move you away from your goals. You are the C.E.O. or your own life, so position yourself for success!

In this podcast Lynda talks with D.J. Anderson, a millennial who has just graduated from college. DJ discusses college loans, credit card debt, and how easy it is to get into financial trouble before life has really even begun. Listen as he begins to formulate a plan for the next few years of his life.
Lynda discusses what she does to evaluate her life goals on her 2019 birthday. Your life is flying by one day at a time. While it seems like it is moving slow, it goes by incredibly fast! Lynda explains why she is constantly evaluating the things she is doing (from health, to wealth, to career, to family time, etc), and what her goals really are for her life. Because if you don't know where you are headed and what you want out of your life, how will you possibly know if you are getting closer?
Lynda discusses how your current habits can easily keep you stuck in the same life you have today. In order to change your life, you HAVE to change what you do every day. Small changes can have a dramatic impact on your life over time. But the first step is to evaluate which habits are no longer serving your goals, and to CHANGE THEM.
According to the USA Today, only 5.1% of the U.S. workforce is happy in their job. If you are one of the other 95%, it is time to evaluate your career path and decide if it is time to make a change. Your overall life strategy may not be served by the position you currently have. Evaluate your long term goals today, and then decide if it is time to make a change. YOU are the C.E.O. of your own life, so start acting like it!
In this episode, Lynda discusses that generating wealth has to start today; not tomorrow, not next week, and not next year. The value of money growing over time is predicated upon having money growing over time. You have been wanting to get your money in order for years. Stop procrastinating and start today. If continue to wait until tomorrow, it will never come. What day is it? It is today. When tomorrow arrives, it will also be today. It is always today, so start building your wealth today!
In this podcast Lynda talks about the importance of understanding the corporate culture of your organization. You can be great at your job, but if you get labelled as a troublemaker or someone who is only out for yourself, you will usually not get promoted or supported by upper management. Find organizational mentors to help you navigate through the landmines so you can get everything you want out of this company/job.
In this podcast Lynda discusses how you can recognize real hurtles, develop a plan to overcome them, identify your resources, set specific timelines and take massive action in order to beat the odds that you think are stacked against you.
In this podcast, Lynda discusses how we all had the beginning of our life story written for us by other people. But if we want to achieve our version of success, we have to take control of our story and write the middle and ending exactly how we want it to be. You can change your life by changing the things you do every day. No one else has the right to control your life. Take control and write the perfect middle and ending for your own life story!
