National Treasury has announced that the government of South Africa has signed loan agreements with the World Bank, the German government and the African Development Bank. According to a statement released by the department, the loans will be provided below market rates in order to support South Africa's just Energy Transition. The World Bank is set to provide a R1-Billion loan for a duration of 15 years, the German government will loan the country half a billion euros for 12 years, with the African Development Bank extending a 300-thousand US Dollar loan over a period of 12 years. Secondo la nota previsionale di Demoskopika saranno ben 68 milioni di turisti, quasi 267 i milioni di pernottamenti previsti nell'estate 2023, con una crescita rispettivamente pari al 4,3% e al 3,2% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2022, segnato 65,2 milioni di arrivi e 258 milioni di pernottamenti. Scenario confortante sull'incoming: scelgono l'Italia 35,3 milioni di stranieri pari a poco più della metà (51,7%) del dato complessivo degli arrivi previsti con 131,5 milioni di presenze. Inoltre, l'analisi storica dei flussi turistici evidenzia che il periodo giugno-settembre del 2023 dovrebbe caratterizzarsi per il maggior numero di arrivi sia rispetto al periodo pre-pandemico del 2019 (+3,7% di arrivi e + 2,6% di presenze) e sia, addirittura, dal 2000 (+71,9% di arrivi e + 26,2% di presenze). Numeri entusiasmanti che però rischiano di essere minacciati da una serie di problemi, tra cui la difficoltà degli hotel. Nonostante gli arrivi record, infatti, secondo Assohotel Confesercenti gli affitti turistici brevi, che raggiungono circa 500 mila proposte di appartamenti e stanze private/condivise, stanno avendo un grave impatto sul mondo dell'accoglienza alberghiera in Italia. In particolare, su alberghi e pensioni a gestione familiare, che un tempo rappresentavano un "punto di forza" del sistema ricettivo nazionale ma che ora faticano a restare sul mercato: in dieci anni, sono scomparsi 2.790 hotel a uno e due stelle. All'interno del Nasdaq 100, il più importante indice tecnologico al mondo, è partito un movimento forzato di redistribuzione dei capitali. Dai grandi, sempre più grandi e ingombranti, verso i più piccoli. In vigore dalla seduta di oggi, infatti, il ribilanciamento e si tratta di un intervento eccezionale. Di solito il riequilibrio avviene su base trimestrale in Marzo, Giugno, Settembre e Dicembre. Qui, invece, il cambiamento è realizzato al di fuori delle consuete e conosciute tempistiche. La mossa, annunciata di recente, ha chiaramente lo specifico obiettivo di ridurre la debordante incidenza e concentrazione dei colossi tecnologici sullo stesso mercato. Quando, ad esempio con Apple, la market cap arriva a danzare sui 3.000 miliardi di dollari è piuttosto logico che debbano prendersi delle contro-misure. Secondo i dati di Bloomberg, al 3 luglio scorso, sei società - Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, Nvidia, Amazon e Tesla- rappresentavano il 50,9% del totale dell indice. La metodologia del Nasdaq indica che, seppure non ci sia alcuna certezza sulle scelte, «potrebbe essere attuato un riequilibrio per ridurre l'influenza di questo gruppo di titoli al 40%. Al di là delle percentuali la scelta ha comunque delle ricadute immediate ed operative sull andamento delle azioni, di cui i risparmiatori devono tenere conto. Data from Wells Fargo just last year finds women outperform men when it comes to investment performance. That backs up a number of studies that say women are less apt to take big risks that can backfire. At the same time, a new survey by Glassdoor finds almost two-thirds of women in finance believe they're getting paid less than their male counterparts. Some programs are working to encourage more Native women to enter the finance industry for their own good and the good of their communities.
